You are a true artist. To see what that steel started out as and then what it ended up being was incredible. The mirrored finish on both of those metals was absolutely gorgeous and I think the black bolts and nuts in the handle really set it off. I love it I would absolutely buy that if you would sell it
Your methods always puzzle me and then you produce something absolutely stunning. I love your work. Shows that you don't need a full workshop to create some truly magnificent pieces
I respect your work and what you do , You are the only one in this field depend on your skills and knowledge with a simple tools. You are the best man 👍
Wow ! this is so beautyfull !!!! When you say 'salt', is it NaCl that you melt ? How long do you leave the blade in this molten salt ? What is the later process with what looks like sand ? Thanks for answering for those details. I'm a noob and know nothing about forge :D
Absolutely outstanding design and craftsmanship!!! A truly spectacular job!!! Take care, be safe, best wishes and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 🤠👨🌾✝️🖖👍👋🐩
Can you make Keris (Indonesian traditional weapon)? Keris is made of iron, steel and nickel. Keris is made by forging repeatedly, then made in layers. At the present time, at least keris is made of 64 layers of iron and nickel. In order to get a good keris sharpness, a layer of steel must be inserted in the middle. After that, the keris will continue to be forged and layered to make it stronger.
It’s his system for tempering the blade. I assume he doesn’t have access to a oven so he covers the blade in sand to prevent hot spots probably puts it over a fire for a bit. When a blade is hardened it is too hard to use as a knife(think of it like glass) so you have to heat it up to 300-450 degrees and have it sit for there a while to make the blade softer so it is still hard enough to take an edge while not being to hard which prevents cracks.

*_Super-impressive, fascinating, satisfying, and just beautiful to watch. Great job! _*
I am personally not a big fan of the brass handle (would prefer wood for more grip), but I can't even do something like this. Props to you.

Красивая работа
Very nice work. Does anyone know at 8:28 what this step was for? I think it's sand, but I can't tell what the purpose was.
@jake Cabral Thank you, Jake. Makes sense. I see now that he used gloves and pliers when he retrieved it.

Also watch out for your hand on the polish mashine

Next video: turning a mirror, razor sharp Karambit into a RUSTY SPRING
I forgot the name of that knife until i saw this video so thanks
My question is why didn't you do a full heat treat on that before you did a half treat cuz it really isn't really fully hardened
Am I the only one that thought that slug was done for ?😂
AMAZING LOVIN IT
If I were to get one of these what tool would I use to sharpen it this much?
e
Me getting anxiety when he was chopping the wood:
Once the hot iron is held, it automatically leaves nature
these types of videos get me into wanting me to do this type of shit
عمل رائع
reworked metal is sexy... Beautiful knife 🍺
Tu e muito bom até faz coisas ferro
when you make these kinds of projects, where do you put the unused bits of metal?
just watched his new video i think the spring was in the background
he might save them for a later project
I really think this Chanel is under rated

Why do you use molten salt before tempering?
This is Minecraft crafting if it was 100x slower and realistic
