"Voting is a privelege in this country" No, its not. Its a right. Its literally called Voting Right. The fact that legislation wants to turn it into a privelege is a crime onto democracy. The States and the federal Goverment should do everything in their power to give as much people as possible the access to a ballot

Only citizens of the United States of America should be allowed to vote. I don't think other countries allow people to vote if they are non citizens and they shouldn't. If you can't ID you shouldn't be able to vote. You should only be able to vote 1 time. Otherwise we wind up with Biden Harris, Shummer, Pelosi, Hillary, Bill, Obama, AOC, Gore, Bernie, Carter. And you are trying to tell me Trump is bad??? I don't think so Mr. Liberal, no thank you

@avedicYour passion certainly comes through!!! I'd just like to add, education.
Education, support, opportunity. This will MASSIVELY REDUCE the inmates, mouth breathers, bigoted, and other "scary people" who some would rather could not vote.
It is a RIGHT FOR ALL. Therefore, it is a RESPONSIBILITY for ALL to be educated and supported, so that ALL are capable of RESPONSIBLE voting! Only then, will we have the free democracy many proudly proclaim us to already be.

Every once in a while I come back to this video and this sentence NEVER fails to make me feel better about myself. No matter how much I might have fucked up that day at work - no one can say about me: “what does she mean when she says words?” It’s a low bar to reach, but to me it’s worth something

The real problem enters when people assume that the words "mind" and "truth" do not belong in considerations about Trump. It would be closer to the triuth the say "mindless," and "pseudo-truth." These speak to Trump's chronically delusional condition.

@Pumpkinlord111 @Jason Ellerslie indeed why? It's not just the accent, even poverty stricken british immigrant kids have a way larger vocabulary than a large portion of american kids. Something to do with an education system that emphasizes teaching things, as opposed to focussing on what NOT to teach. Not really an American bragging point currently.

There are some people who argue that voting should be considered a right. But it is not currently a positive right. States are banned from restricting voting based on race or sex and poll taxes but they are free to restrict voting for other reasons, especially because the Voting Rights Act is vaguely written.
So there is not a positive right to vote but there are now limits how the states can restrict voting, with slightly different rules for federal and state legislation.

I know this is a rly old comment but just had to reply cuz my late dad was & my uncle were/are from England and I have family in Canada too. People from other countries objectively see us as the sham we are. They can tell we are full of shit when we talk about what we are, because it’s still the American “dream”- it’s not real. As George Carlin he was so funny but also so wise), “You know why they call it the American Dream? Cuz you have to be asleep to believe it.”

I went to a business expo where Trump was giving a speech on real estate back in the 90s... he was the most obvious crook I'd ever seen, he almost bailed because he didn't get enough applause. Trump's entire 30 minute speech was about being remorseless and how the weak and gullible are meant to be abused and exploited by the strong.
"Take em for what their worth, doesn't matter if it's an old lady trusting you with all her savings or a young married couple getting their first home... take them for everything or someone else will" ...That's the one line that always stood out to me.

But in all honesty we can't do anything when our government is controlled by threats made from the US a century ago. The reason our country is so underdeveloped is that, there is no denying those facts. Right now we should break the bonds, we should have no dependance from US, in fact they depend on us on a lot of things. But our government is so corrupt there is no way out of this hole besides a complete revolution and purge of the old people who are holding the youth from changing the country. That's why so many people leave Mexico, they have robbed them the opportunity to make a difference. All tied to an alliance with narcotrafic, a country within a country, with it's own independent economy. And whenever someone talks, like Luis Donaldo Colosio did in 1994 they get killed. Nothing has changed, they govern with fear and lies while living the good life, draining dry the people's money. That's our situatuon, only war can change our future, although there's no one strong enough. Numerous groups of selfdefense have appeared, later on the government "takes control" and replaces then with the army. Then they retreat the army and the narcotrafic wins again, the people is left without weapons and the cycle repeats itself.

I like to be an optimist, but as I write this on the first anniversary of January 6th, we failed. We lost a not insignificant portion of people to this type of information but instead of Trump, the ‘person’ people followed was Q for their direct news source after realizing hearing from one ‘unimpeachable’ source was good. I don’t know how to fix it, but we need to recognize that this failure is more widespread than just Trump and just some people.
