This is another thing about tesla - their product presentations are not done by pre recorded adverts produced by an advertising agency making a video - instead you get the actual designers and engineers like Franz up on stage with the CEO doing product releases with live audiences and answering questions etc. It seems very open and honest it's a good way to do things and gives recognition and credit to the engineers and other people making the products.
@TDog4444 The R1T looks pretty much the same as an ICE truck with the big chunky engine bay compartment up the front and a stepped down tray at the back. I think the R1T is designed to appeal to people nostalgic for owning a big old ICE engine truck so they can have a truck that looks like their dads old truck and cling onto past traditions. The R1T will make them feel assured and conservative and show they are want to fit in and not make any waves or take any risk because the R1T looks much like the vintage trucks we recall from our childhood. But the R1T's big chunky engine bay is a fake engine bay since the electric motors are usually transverse mounted very low in the body. The big engine bay is redundant it impedes the drivers view of the road makes it more dangerous for pedestrians and is un-aerodynamic -it's only there to make it look like a good old fashioned truck just like henry ford made them. The Cybertruck on the other hand is a designed to be tough functional and high performance - the exterior stainless steel will not be bothered by things that would dent or scratch the shiny body shell of other vehicles. It's also has better aerodynamic performance and an unobstructed view of the road. it takes full advantage of the fact that the motors are low in the body. The cybertruck is designed with performance and function above all else. For the owner it can make a statement they are not defined by the past and are willing to set a new trend or simply they are knowledgeable care about performance and want the best designed truck. The R1T is still perfectly functional and has good performance but the Cybertruck's design is intended to advance the state of the art.
@TDog4444 absolutely more nicer and more functionable No one can claim to have driven a cyber truck. I don't even think Elon has properly driven a cybertruck
@paradigmshift7 Well Tesla insurance is like in what 10 states? You call that a success. Ok, you want a big fail the epitome of why I hate Elon Musk, what about the fleets of self driving taxi's where a Tesla would pay for itself in a year. Where are the fleets of self driving taxi's that pay for themselves in a year?
@Ricky Bobby Was this your big "gotcha" moment or something? Rates depend where you live and what your record looks like. As far as your safety features quip, maybe look up Tesla's NHTSA and NCAP scores? They're usually best in class for each of their vehicles. Seriously if you're going to troll at least be better at it 😂
Excellent interview. I would like to see more interviews with Tesla execs and workers. Tesla doesn’t advertise so it would be nice to know more about them as they grow larger and larger.
@Roger Starkey Another Tesla fanboy underestimating the competition in the EV space. Maybe you need to take another look at what Hyundai/KIA is bringing to market, plus there are many more to come. Tesla will do OK, as they should, being the first in the segment, but the competition will be fierce.
@Roger Sears As Tesla grows larger and the *market* for EVs expands, largely due to Tesla.... *Any* advertising by others will advertise "EVs", and therefore Tesla by default. Remember the "Superbowl effect"? GM advertised, Tesla sales increased.
@skierpage You know very well my point was that just because many of today's scientists adhere to the "climate change" theory, that doesn't make it fact. We have the technology today to observe the climate changing, but cannot tell the exact causes. I wish man was more impactful, as we could then avoid the harmful extremes like hurricanes. I'm not doubting the climate is changing, but I do dispute that humans are having a major impact. And I want to know what you think should power our electrical grid - natural gas, coal, nuclear, windmills or solar panels and what should be the priority here, as we all know you can't have a reliable energy grid using just windmills and solar panels.
@skierpage And the majority of the scientific community in the 1600s said the world was flat. In case you hadn't noticed, the Earth goes through heating and cooling cycles. If you think humans are part of the problem, perhaps we should be looking at nuclear power production instead of windmills and solar panels. In any event, this is not an issue that would suggest an immediate upending of our way of life., including elimination of internal combustion powered vehicles.
In general terms a designer will always express the hope / belief that their next design will be their best ever. I think that was his point. (Maybe with a "wait and see" wink😉?)
@Bertrand P what are you even talking about? Just because YOU, one person in one state, hasn’t dealt with something, doesn’t mean other people also haven’t. California and NY people are the most “me, me, me” people ever, jeez lol.
@Shahan 484 Hey, Tesla fan-boy, aren't you mixing metaphors here, comparing total Tesla car sales to the Ford F-150 Lightning? Why, yes you are. Ford has forgotten more about building pickups than Tesla will ever know. That kindergarten design Cybertruck is extremely polarizing.
@Roger Sears ford has delivered 13,000 F150 in 6 months while Tesla sold 350,000 vehicles all costing more than base F150 electric in last 3 months alone. Cybertuck will eat away from it's competition like the F150. F150 is selling now because of delay in Tesla pickup launch.
@Roger Sears also if you're interested in Electric vehicles in general then there's a video released 2 days ago from Rich Rebuilds, where he takes his Rivian Pickup truck to a road trip and struggle to find chargers and most charger are not working. He talks about if he was in a Tesla, he would have unlimited access to Tesla supercharger network across America with some of the fastest charging available.
I love it! He stated inspiration can come from anywhere. That is a great '1st Principles' outlook that has been lost in a world where people always focus on the extremes of life.
@Justin Golden the running joke for CNBC is 'CNBS' because they push out a bunch of crap, straight up lies at times. That's interesting that you think they are in the middle and not political (not true at all of a ton of their content). This content was quality, which is nice though.
It's hard to not make quality content when you're CNBC in a non political space and here's why: 1) They have enough influence so they can interview anyone, just ask and you'll get an interview with the top guys at Tesla, unlike smaller outlets. 2) They have enough money for good equipment such as cameras, mics, video editors, etc. to put together a high production value video, and 3) They have enough money to do market research and figure out what people actually wanna hear. So your end result is something people want to se that not only gets made, but gets made well. When there's any hint of politics though, all journalistic integrity goes out the window and CNBC becomes about as bad if not worse than CNN or Fox.
@DiMarco Drahgi I respectfully disagree. I do think the minimalist design definitely is not everyone's choice but I really respect to efficiency of the design, I don't care what it looks like at all. It might go to a million miles !
Great interview. Unbiased, fact seeking and cordial - rare these days. Franz comes across as highly competent and the right man for a disruptive and revolutionary company. Tesla obviously gives him the freedom to produce stupendously good products. He strikes me as having the right temperament to be managed by a tough boss like Elon! Good man!
Franz, please make a full size Cybervan (similar in size to the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit) with the Stainless Steel exoskeleton body, single and dual motor options, 300 or 400 mile range and onboard power system for work tools or RV appliances. The dent and corrosion resistant SS body coupled with the Tesla Supercharger network would destroy the competition!
Dude I hope this man never leaves tesla. If you are reading this : STAY!!! You are an absolute legend and remind me of somebody who can run tesla one day in the future. Great guy
What You See HERE IS What You Really DO Get! I had the honour of interacting with Franz and I can tell you he is everything you see here in this video - friendly, honest, very humble and charming all wrapped up in a very nicely turned out human being :-) . . . As a wannabe designer, a true inspiration to me and to all those who aspire to go into the future with the care of the planet as a priority - All the best Franz and keep up with the amazing, inspired work !
here my exploration of the Cyber/Countach I had done a while ago in Gravity sketch. I think there is something there for sure!! kzclip.org/video/DKSLkZ5Z0nw/бейне.html
We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes - understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success
When I first met with Mrs Jane Rucker Rutledge about crypto trading I took the opportunity regardless the risks but now I am happy that I took the step to success by trading with Mrs Jane Rucker Rutledge.
@Just wanna Be Happy if you think it's only kids that care about how the vehicle looks you are grossly mistaken and kind of delusional. In fact kids don't even buy cars!
Not often that i realy like a CNBC video - especialy on Tesla... Realy nice. Open, unbiased, friendly, not offensive, no agenda... putting the humanity of the interviewee in the center. Great, thanks a lot. More like this, please.
@Fighter4Street Why is Elon Musk and Trump equated so often? To me they're radically different people. And I have no idea what Trump really believes (except self-preservation) where as Elon's beliefs are pretty clear. What attributes do they share?
It would be nice to see Tesla acquire Lit motors C-1 or make a cyber version of the C-1. The motorcycle from factor is the ultimate in efficiency, forget those funny 3 wheelers that still take up as much road space as a car.
@thesneakinmonkey Like I said if the issue is being struck as a pedestrian, then you are not any safer with these other Massive beasts that are already on the road.
@Infinite RER FFS is right. what I actually said is that my concerns as a pedestrian also apply to me as a driver. Literally in one sentence ... that was in parentheses.
@thesneakinmonkey wow. You literally said in a previous post that you were actually concerned about vehicle impact. But anyway like I said, a riv or f150 hitting a pedestrian is just as catastrophic. Stop pretending this car is uniquely unsafe compared to what's already on the road. The *Hummer EV* is a real, street legal vehicle FFS
Literally I have wanted to go to mars before even elon suggested it was something that could be possible. I hope elon can select some of us regular humans
The cyber truck in a lot of ways is brilliant because it's so different and that will appeal to a lot of people. That being said, it just doesn't appeal to me and that's disappointing lol. I really wanted a cyber truck until I saw it. I was really hoping for something that looks a little more typical Tesla.
It looks like the first stealth plane, using flat surfaces because the computers were too slow to come up with a more optimized solution, but of course the f-117 also looked great but in a very weird way.
It was nice to just ask normal questions. Tesla support is sooooo bimodal. Either super fanboy Elon can do no wrong or almost hatred of Cybertruck/Tesla/Elon. They’ve truly done some radical awesome unique innovation. It just makes so much sense to have a metal truck. Trucks being electric having all that torque available from the onset makes sense. Innovative competition amongst these companies is just about always better for us the consumer.
Franz creativity is being unleashed i don't think that would be possible anywhere but Tesla. Can't wait to see the Cybertruck in the wild. It's a standout so eloquently designing the form to follow the function the materials and the technology is brilliant the cybertruck is a revolution that defies tradition. When you see the cybertruck or the semi on the road then you will know we are in the future.
HUH? The interior of the Mercedes EQ, and the newer BMW i4, iX, i7, as well as other EVs kick the crap out of Tesla in terms of design, build quality and materials for their interiors. Go sit in an EQS and then get in a Tesla Model S. See which one you'd rather have. I'd take the Mercedes in a heart beat. I do NOT need a car that does 0-Ticket much faster than the EQS or the BMW EVs do. The only thing that Tesla might have is their Supercharger network and they typically do have slightly better charge times. But I think those advantages might go away. Tesla's been doing it longer, so they have more development time involved. But it Elon detracts from Tesla, then he may find himself behind the 8 ball.
I love change. I love unique. I own a KTM Super Duke 1290r and MV AGusta 800rr Dragster motorcycle. You do not see these on every corner. I love the minimalistic interior Tesla. No buttons or knobs to date/dust collector. Thinking outside the box vs just another color version of the same thing year after yearb
When you launched your first car, U got so many popularity on EV. We all were thinking Tesla is only who can make EV. But now other better brands who making better cars with better quality. Charging structure is only matter. It is improving reliability. Good Luck.
One feature I would like to see changed. Have a look at the display of a Leaf. It is amazingly clear - framed by the upper half of the steering wheel. So much better than the offset touch screen of Tesla. Other than that, Go Tesla.
Great interview, its is refreshing to see CNBC acknowledging Tesla's undeniable and incredible accomplishments rather than the biased FUD we are used to seeing
Had no idea about the semi.. Glad that was discussed. The cyber truck is not my cup of tea but I can respect the bold leap of faith the company is taking on it. I think this radical design is about 20 years premature for the truck audience but we'll find out!!
@FreeF Free And yet, the Model Y is going to be the #1 selling vehicle by next year in terms of unit sales and is already the best selling vehicle this year in terms of revenue. It's so bad that it's the... best selling vehicle in the world?
Integrity is the foundation of a just society . The motivation, hard work, and proving to others nothing is impossible all come together at tommorrow event. I hope all kids and students watch this as a learning tool to become innovators and create great products that are fun, make the world better and save lives. Tesla motivation stems from The tragedy in Humboldt. Autopilot in trucks will prevent such horrific incidents in the future.
This man has done an amazing job leading the design team with Tesla car designs. Simple and elegant and beautiful = will age gracefully. See Porsche 911. Simple and elegant and still have the same shape today.
Like no other, Musk, Holzhausen and team are building a company that's the envy of many around the world. No advertising necessary. Their introduction to products comes directly from their people who speak from the heart. Design and engineering is executed with the user in mind. And like he said, the model S design is still modern and fresh, 14 years in! No need to redesign every couple years. They've removed massive legacy costs with all these efficiencies. Brilliant.
@Roger Sears In a way but maybe that's OK. Ultimately for me form follows function to a large degree, in this case that depends a lot on how one will use it. Most seem to want it as a fashion statement just as pickups typically are now. For ME a truck is crap on the road they are only for off road/dirt roads and hauling a load.
When it 1st rolled out I literally was wishing I hadn't bet the ranch on TSLA...but it rapidly grew on me. Put it next to any other pickup and the other looks like a grandma's grocery getter.
@Exotic Cars I waited a few days before ordering so keeping my fingers crossed. Either way after close to 4 years of waiting, what's a few more months wait lol
I don't think it's the roadster because the roadster has been shown for quite sometime, even on the road in media. I have heard there is yet another vehicle coming very recently.
@Richard Alexander Well, that's pretty much what all teslas are. Perhaps the model 3 is a bit more reasonably priced, but still expensive for what it is.
The new roadster is the most beautiful car ever designed. Simply stunning inside and out. No unsightly lines or clutter. Just pure refinement. It's the perfect car.
The FORD design studio is in Dearborn, Mi. Next door to the studio is a HUGE warehouse where FORD has examples of EVERY model car & truck they have ever built. When the design studio hires a new designer, they send them over to the warehouse to look for inspiration from past models. When the new designer finds one they like, the studio boss has them pull it out & wash it. BY HAND. He wants them to FEEL the lines. Feel the angles & the straights. To really FEEL the car. THEN, the boss has them drive it. !
They definitely need to make someone other than Elon the face of Tesla. His personal issues are getting pulled too much into an otherwise innovative company
After 4-5 years of hype and anticipation, this better be the bigger than when sliced bread 🍞 was introduced. Since it’s literally been called the best thing since.
She really try hard at the first 2 questions to see if there is issue with Elon Mask as managing Tesla. She tried to catch issues but it didn’t go well. Too direct questions and kind of weird for beginning of interview
Any new idea that becomes valuable is usually a product of more than one person. I knew there were others who have been working with Elon so, thanks for your effort Franz and thank you Elon for giving credit to those who have helped you. Iguana
@daniel Gordon The cheaper smaller model is the RoboTaxi platform. It's being developed now and it will be unlike any other vehicle that's has ever existed
@Stephen Humble engine bay? You mean the frunk?
@Parkcrashers yeah I see them all over.
Much nicer looking than a Cybertruck
I love when people have the guts to do and try something different
@paradigmshift7 Last one I promise, underground tunnels for underground highways...LOL!!!
@paradigmshift7 Nothing on the fleet of self driving tesla taxi's. What about the hyperloop lol. You remember that?
Seriously if you're going to troll at least be better at it 😂
@paradigmshift7 It's more costly than other insurance companies. So much for for the supposed safety features of a Tesla having any tangible benefit.
So good to see a mainstream interview with Franz. Tesla is so much more than Elon.
@Ryan Marbut
There's a whiff of "previous reputation" around Apple?
@Alex Mills
👍"All in long term" suddenly became essentially "Trading" for some.
"Disappointing"
Remember who built the team
@Kancho no there are not .
Though costly but iPhone is currently the best in market rn
@Kancho
Set up not to fail ?
Nothing is permanent. A better product will come one day for sure
Frank is a great guy! Knowing that Elon sought him out says a lot about Elon too!

Kudos CNBC, awesome video!
There is something new that's coming. He clearly said, "my best design is the one that's coming. I can't talk about it"
In general terms a designer will always express the hope / belief that their next design will be their best ever.
I think that was his point.
(Maybe with a "wait and see" wink😉?)
So the Roadster is never coming out? Just be honest about it already. It's gonna be 2023 In a few days.
@Bertrand P what are you even talking about? Just because YOU, one person in one state, hasn’t dealt with something, doesn’t mean other people also haven’t. California and NY people are the most “me, me, me” people ever, jeez lol.
@Randy Smith Replace USA by CA and comment on US inflation and Tesla US price is same.
But you don’t care. Just happy to be obnoxious.
His comment about something new piqued my interest too! What is the car at 11:08? The new roadster?
Franz is Legendary... and the best is yet to come!

@Shahan 484 No, I don't believe the Cybertruck will outsell the Ford F-150 Lightning, but let's see what kind of pricing Tesla has.

I look forward to all the third party reviews of the truck. I hope it lives up to the hype.
Whoa, quality content from CNBC? I’m here for this haha. What a great interview with Franz. Seems like a great person to be around!
@Justin Golden the running joke for CNBC is 'CNBS' because they push out a bunch of crap, straight up lies at times. That's interesting that you think they are in the middle and not political (not true at all of a ton of their content). This content was quality, which is nice though.
It’s a low key dig at Elon. The only reason they bothered to even make this interview
Saw this truck in person looks way better than anticipated like something out of a comic book or movie
Nice work Franz and cnbc! This is the best video I’ve ever seen on this channel
Franz, Thank you for being courageous enough to uniquely approach innovative design in such a profound way. Blessings!
😂 it is apparent that FRANZ HASN'T WORKED A DAY IN HIS LIFE!
@Stones On Fire minimalist sleek sharp lines are not what I would call generic egg shaped Teslas.
@DiMarco Drahgi I respectfully disagree. I do think the minimalist design definitely is not everyone's choice but I really respect to efficiency of the design, I don't care what it looks like at all. It might go to a million miles !
The cars look like a bland version of every other luxury car. Possibly the worst design
Good man!
She tried so hard at the first 2 questions to catch issues to make Elon mask looks bad but it didn’t go
Well so she moved in with the questions
@AW Well, this one cut the grade then and was signed off by all 7! 🤣😂
Unbiased? This will have had to go across 7 lawyers and Elon's desk before it went live..
Franz, please make a full size Cybervan (similar in size to the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit) with the Stainless Steel exoskeleton body, single and dual motor options, 300 or 400 mile range and onboard power system for work tools or RV appliances. Franz is the man.
That huge windshield wiper is genius. Was gonna buy cybertruck before i saw the huge wiper smaller front and side mirrors.
Dude I hope this man never leaves tesla. If you are reading this : STAY!!! You are an absolute legend and remind me of somebody who can run tesla one day in the future. Great guy
What You See HERE IS What You Really DO Get! CNBC posting a good video for once?? Wow.
Good interview
I’m impressed
When your bias only allows a keyhole of information...
Good video? Where's the cyber truck test drive? Where is the footage of the cyber truck rolling off the assembly line?
@Dwight Vietzke anything to staunch the TSLA bleed from Elon dumping stock
This was good to you? 😂
amazing designer, and team. cool he mentioned the countach and the 250 GTO ! some amazing classics❤
here my exploration of the Cyber/Countach I had done a while ago in Gravity sketch. I think there is something there for sure!!

@AMATULLAH UMAR get out .. ! .. its a scam .. young and ambitious people have been falling for it for decades ...
When I first met with Mrs Jane Rucker Rutledge about crypto trading I took the opportunity regardless the risks but now I am happy that I took the step to success by trading with Mrs Jane Rucker Rutledge.
Thank you Franz von Holzhausen for being awesome!!!
Franz is a legend because of his work at Tesla, he's basically the rockstar of car design in this current age
Makes sense why all cars look exactly the same and boring.
Watch those high styled cars from Korea and Germany Just lead the charge past Tesla.
So was Chris Bangal.
@Just wanna Be Happy if you think it's only kids that care about how the vehicle looks you are grossly mistaken and kind of delusional. In fact kids don't even buy cars!
@Just wanna Be Happy because you have a human brain .
Incredible interview and what a down to earth individual understanding his amazing work with Tesla.
Amazing how they aged and seeing them so young.
I always thought the Model S and 3 looked a lot like Mazda 6 and 3. Now I know why.
Model S is Ian Callum's classic 2006 Jaguar XK big sports sedan design, perfected. Nicer than the Audi A7.
They're both Skyactiv!
Yup!
Not often that i realy like a CNBC video - especialy on Tesla... Realy nice. Open, unbiased, friendly, not offensive, no agenda... putting the humanity of the interviewee in the center. Great, thanks a lot. More like this, please.

Franz is a cool dude. Easily the best designer Elon could’ve chosen.
With it's sharp corners, I'm dying to know how the Cybertruck will pass Pedestrian Impact regulations, and how the production model will really look.
Model S and Model 3 are hot 🔥
@thesneakinmonkey Like I said if the issue is being struck as a pedestrian, then you are not any safer with these other Massive beasts that are already on the road.

But anyway like I said, a riv or f150 hitting a pedestrian is just as catastrophic. Stop pretending this car is uniquely unsafe compared to what's already on the road. The *Hummer EV* is a real, street legal vehicle FFS
@thesneakinmonkey Why are there no regs to make cars out of cotton candy ?
It’s always nice and interesting to listen to Franz. He’s doing an amazing job for Tesla. ❤
Ya after he destroyed the looks of cars for the last 15 years
He should consider moving his talents elsewhere.
Literally I have wanted to go to mars before even elon suggested it was something that could be possible. I hope elon can select some of us regular humans
he's so humble
Unlike elon
Franz seems a very likeable guy. Elon is lucky he got.this man on his team.
The cyber truck in a lot of ways is brilliant because it's so different and that will appeal to a lot of people. That being said, it just doesn't appeal to me and that's disappointing lol. I really wanted a cyber truck until I saw it. I was really hoping for something that looks a little more typical Tesla.
Love that cybertruck design
LOVE this interview. Thank you!
It looks like the first stealth plane, using flat surfaces because the computers were too slow to come up with a more optimized solution, but of course the f-117 also looked great but in a very weird way.
Probably your best show ever. Thanks for not spinning everything Tesla does in a bad light👍🇳🇴
I agree, the positive spin is a refreshing change!

I think that's it, what working with Elon feels like.
That nervous smile on his face tells it all.
And the pride of being allowed to be your best self.
Amazing work ❤
Best designer in my opinion for cars
Please, dear God, more of this kind of thing!
I'm very intrigued about his next design!
Very unusual unbiased take from CNBS - nice work
I love change.
Amazing. I got my first Mazda 3 which might designed by you. It was wow the world back in 2004
Agreed!
This was nice. I would like to hear more from him.
Had no idea about the semi.. Glad that was discussed. The cyber truck is not my cup of tea but I can respect the bold leap of faith the company is taking on it. I think this radical design is about 20 years premature for the truck audience but we'll find out!!
Great interview!
Love this guy. He seems very humble
Tesla is consistently the one company that continues pushing the innovation forward and that is why they will prevail.
@FreeF Free Tesla had already sold 900k cars just this year back in October.
Awesome interview!!! Enjoyed watching!! Thanks... love you franz!!!
Brilliant.
What an amazing journey of Tesla!!
I'm surprised this isn't some sort of hit piece... Enjoyed watching the interview.
MAN I can't wait to get my Cybertruck!! Most revolutionairy product to come out in a LONG WHILE. This is one big mean machine and I love it
@Roger Sears In a way but maybe that's OK. Ultimately for me form follows function to a large degree, in this case that depends a lot on how one will use it. Most seem to want it as a fashion statement just as pickups typically are now.
For ME a truck is crap on the road they are only for off road/dirt roads and hauling a load.
@Bo McGillacutty But the Cybertruck looks like a kindergarten sketch.
When it 1st rolled out I literally was wishing I hadn't bet the ranch on TSLA...but it rapidly grew on me. Put it next to any other pickup and the other looks like a grandma's grocery getter.
I’ll be honest, I love the design of the cybertruck, it’s so cool. I don’t understand how people don’t like it.
Fun. Thanks for interviewing him.
It's only been 3 years since I placed my order for the Cybertruck, hopefully I get to see one next year!
@Inci Willard Same here, I can wait another year or two, although I don't want too lol
@Exotic Cars I waited a few days before ordering so keeping my fingers crossed. Either way after close to 4 years of waiting, what's a few more months wait lol
If you placed it in the first 24 hours you after the unveil will see it next year
Same here! Looking forward to get a VIN number assigned and I don't care how long I have to wait.
This tells you a whole lot about the company culture at Tesla ❤🇳🇬
@Jakub Sip No jokes
@1Snousergreat joke :D
Highest rated safety on the planet. Autopilot will even avoid accidents in some cases.
Roadster can’t come soon enough 🤤
Elon the Great has other fish to fry...
The one he's most excited about... must be the roadster. I can't wait for that one
The Model 2
I don't think it's the roadster because the roadster has been shown for quite sometime, even on the road in media.
I have heard there is yet another vehicle coming very recently.
@Richard Alexander Well, that's pretty much what all teslas are. Perhaps the model 3 is a bit more reasonably priced, but still expensive for what it is.
Good call, I'd just about forgotten the roadster...an expensive toy for rich folk.
We need more content like this.
Why? Don't we have enough?
The new roadster is the most beautiful car ever designed. Simply stunning inside and out. No unsightly lines or clutter. Just pure refinement. It's the perfect car.
Great interview
Good job CNBS
I want a cyber truck so bad. I have a Y now and if I could get a Tri Motor soonish I would be so happy
Tri motor has been discontinued. Only Dual and Quad Motor aka Plaid will be available
Great content! More like these please CNBC
The FORD design studio is in Dearborn, Mi. Next door to the studio is a HUGE
warehouse where FORD has examples of EVERY model car & truck they have
ever built. When the design studio hires a new designer, they send them over to
the warehouse to look for inspiration from past models. When the new designer
finds one they like, the studio boss has them pull it out & wash it. BY HAND. He
wants them to FEEL the lines. Feel the angles & the straights. To really FEEL
the car. THEN, the boss has them drive it.
!
Why does the Lightning truck look like the same old truck if they hired new designers? lol
Married to the past. 🥴
Looking forward to the crash test for the cyber truck!
I like this interview, that's good!
He is incredibly fond of the word incredible but he is also quite incredible himself. Could he be the next CEO while Elon moves on to something else?
Car Designer and CEO are two different skill sets. However, both can be present in one individual (rarely).
Just the fact they’re putting him out in front like this makes you wonder… he’s a great representative for Tesla.
Good interview.
My fav part about the Cybertruck is that it isn't real.
Franz should do all of Tesla's public speaking.
They definitely need to make someone other than Elon the face of Tesla. His personal issues are getting pulled too much into an otherwise innovative company
LOVE this guy! 😍
Really good interview, Thanks!
After 4-5 years of hype and anticipation, this better be the bigger than when sliced bread 🍞 was introduced. Since it’s literally been called the best thing since.
Confident it will be.
Finally an honest look at Tesla!
Quite a good interview surprisingly😁
@Anonymous better than average
Iguana
Interesting how successive shock events weakened the glass. (Assuming that was really ‘the glass’)
_favorite design is a new design._ can't talk about it.
@daniel Gordon The cheaper smaller model is the RoboTaxi platform. It's being developed now and it will be unlike any other vehicle that's has ever existed
It sometimes only means; "what's coming is fun, not what I've already worked on".
Hype AF. I doubt he is talking about the new smaller/cheaper model, so I imagine he is talking about the robotaxi
Hello! #amazing_website_short_aws
Love this guy. Understated quiet genius. Comfortable in his skin. No bs. No dumb jokes or ego driven comments.
Great interview.
Thanks for this interview, Fraz V is awesome.
this guy is the best in the business. his cars are beautiful
“Many people hate the cyber truck design. Was that the intent?”
What kind of question is this 😂😂💀
cant wait for self driving cars next year for the 13 th year in a row!
