@caligreenclean he only started playing like that when his contract is ending. he got traded to the nets in 2019, the trio only played 16 games together, KD and Kyrie only played 72 games together. Do you not remember the dramas and absences?
@yesssurrr I need Chuck out here spitting truth. These guys are all too green and nice. Chuck will call out Kyrie’s bs. “Wants to go somewhere celebrated and not just tolerated” GTFOH! I think the thing people underestimate is that Luka is unselfish with the ball naturally. Kylie will get lots of good setups because that's what Luka does already his team mates just aren't All-Star level finishers.
I think Kyrie's happiest time in the NBA was his first several years with Cleveland where he could dominate the ball and jack up all the shots he wanted while they won 25 games a season and he was off for the summer by late April.
@sadiablo93 See what you're doing is speculating, what I'm doing is just saying what it is. I do not deign to see inside the heart of man ~ someone probably. Whatever the reasons, fact is he gave the money away and it helped people so I could care less about things that I can't know. And going by what his teammates say, they seem to like him, so unless you were in the dressing room, all I can do is say i don't know? From the player's perspective it seems like the consensus is to treat it like a business first and foremost as they don't want to let the ownership take advantage of/disrespect them. EDIT: just a tip, try to hold less animosity in your heart and you'll start to not assume the worst (or best) of people you've never met. Take things at face value my guy, filling in the blanks with loose assumptions is a good way to lose your footing.
@CheemsDuku Did it ever come up to you that philanthropy is in many cases just a tool to signal virtue for ultra high net worth individuals? This obviously does not mean that Kyrie is not believing in the causes he donates for but getting positive PR from it definately helps sweeten the deal. From my point of view how he treats his team mates is a much better indicator and as a team mate I would definately feel let down if this guy is not playing because he does not want to get vacced while we are trying to compete for a chip. I really want Luka and the mavs to win, but empirically having Kyrie on the roster did not work in favor of most teams.
@bacon not cripy Yeah because he was leaving situations. How long was he happy in Boston? How long was he happy in Brooklyn? Those are 2 places he WANTED to go to! Then what?
@Agent Bk201 And how many Guards in NBA playing better defence and avarge more than 5 assists, that actually a social role model and shows up to work ?
I think it's going to work out better than anyone is expecting. I have faith in Jason and in Luca. There's alot more to Luca that some don't give him credit for. I have a good feeling about this. Wether it works out or not at least the Mavs are trying new things, and from this they will grow or spectacularly implode. Either which way, it does make things a little bit intriguing and definitely interesting.
I also think it is a tricky thing, but wenn Shaq is talking about the 4th quarter was for Kobe, I was immediatley thinking, if Kidd can manage it, to switch the 4th quarter to Luka in one game and in the next game to Kyrie, the Defense will have big problems, as they start doubling both of them and all of a sudden you have 2 players free.
I feel like dallas is a good spot for Kyrie mentally, I don't know the man and I'm not gonna act like I know anything about him but I do know about dallas, Dallas is an incredibly chill and supportive environment where a lot of people have an opportunity to develop because the team has always been open to experimental rotations to let other players shine. I believe dallas has the ability to make this Luka Kyrie Wood trio work, the idea that Luka or Kyrie can't work off ball is absolutely ridiculous, both are generational talents and both are top 10 current offensive threats.
I think this might be the best thing for the nets especially once Kevin Durant gets back cause all those other guys around him want 2 ball out and they was top talents it's just there was superstars in front of them now there's not!
I totally get where you're comin from and I wish KD had made better decisions throughout his career cause I believe he can lead a team to a championship but we don't see that cause of everything that transpired. Now Kyrie as a teammate, I'm sure he isn't a said "bad" teammate but LOOK at everything that HAS happened in the last 6 years within his career. Everything that he said in the interview into the Mavs, his lack of self-awareness is breathtaking! He stepped away from games more than once cause he had to show up to birthday parties? That's not what a superstar like Lebron, Kobe, KD, Giannis, Luka would ever do. Tell me I'm wrong
Shaq & JC have good points. Glad Kyrie got out of Brooklyn. Wasn't thinking he'd go2 Dallas. But I hope it works out. Honestly feel like Luka/KD would've been great, not because of talent. Simply because what Shaq/JC said, that's a crowded back court. I think Kobe/Chris Paul would've worked out, but honestly not a huge fan of 2 star guards sharing the rock anyway. One of the reasons why having another guard like Derek Fisher or some kind of specialist playing alongside a superstar ball handler usually works. A back court/front court player combo seems more compatible. But like I said, I hope it works out. Hopefully they can play together. Seems like Kyrie is feeling a bit refreshed he's no longer in Brooklyn. Definitely don't mean to dampin the excitement of the trade. If it does work out which I hope it does they'll be very difficult to stop.
I'm glad they talked about Cam Thomas at the end. Do that more please. If the established 'stars' are going to miss games or act like dumbass divas, then focus on the players who are there on the court and lighting it up.
Absolutely. There are guys out there who are going after it, and putting in the work. I tire of hearing about guys who aren't like that, like Trae Young, Simmons, and Harden.
Once Cam get a real contract like a real player he will sit out. Go learn the game. Why would you sit out if you don't get any clock? Bwhahaha!!! That makes NO sense at all. You're supposed to always be ready bcuz you are a bench player. Period.
@3liteshadøw gamer this comment is about giving Cam Thomas his flowers and others like him when they have great games since they never get enough credit due to their lack of name recognition
I swear in the past 5 years it seems like the days of playing 82 games or even 70 is a thing of the past. You're lucky if you get 60 games out of the stars via always injured or "REST"
@Skilled Artist see the tackling aspect I don't see as terrible, unless it's a person who deliberately tries to injure others, it's very similar to hockey in that regard. It's the line men that I see as the muscle head meatballs 🤣
@jesse house well I think hockey and football are much different because football involves a lot of blocking and block shedding between many of the players on every single play. Also, in football one of the main ways to stop players from scoring is to tackle them to the ground.
This is the quietest year for trade I can remember. Even with the dedman trade today there's only been 4 trades this season. Only 2 trades this year involve players who are rotation players. The kyrie trade and the rui trade to LA. So really only 2 trades so far this whole season. Even if it's a busy deadline going this far with 2 notable trades is crazy.
Happy for you Kyrie. A man who says he wants to write his own story. I encourage every 🇺🇸 man, especially every BM to write their own story no matter a sport or what you do. Go where your celebrated not tolerated
@David Gaskins Imagine just barely (3 wins) be above the .500 mark and yet some dude on the internet is so proud of it that he calls you a bum. The standards of that internet dude must be so low.
@i forgot Imagine just barely (3 wins) be above the .500 mark and yet some dude on the internet call your team a contender. The standards of that internet dude must be so low.
I believe if Luka plays more without the ball the Mavs are a legit contender. They have young horses on their team in Josh Green, Jaden Hardy etc...and if they move the ball more often than not they can contend with any team. Luka and Kyrie will get many chances to dominate the ball but if they both pick their spots in the halfcourt they will be fresher in the fourth quarter and then they can dominate. Push the ball ahead to those young athletes and then when the time presents itself do what Luka and Kyrie do. The more guys with confidence the better the team.
Nah, the media does. *Covid shot mandate (we all saw he was right) *Antisemitic issue that wasn't really antisemitic. The media blew that up. Also, following Shaqs take, there weren't any co-star when Kyrie was at Celtics. Y'all forget Tatum and the rest were young.
I wish all the best to Luka and Mavs. I used to be one of Kyrie's biggest fans. I was behind him when he wanted out of Cleveland. I was skeptical but still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Now that he's quit on his third consecutive team I don't believe he deserves to be signed to an NBA contract. Although he's a top 10 guard in the league skill doesn't matter when you have such a terrible attitude that you're willing to give up on real championship opportunities for personal gain. Man up and fulfill your contractual obligations, if you were working a real job you'd have gotten everything taken from you in lawsuits.
@Apple Pie NBA players job is to play good basketball, not win a championship… They pay him millions of dollars because of his talent and ability to bring in more fans(views, ticket and merchandise sales, social media boosts, etc). Owning an NBA team is an investment, and investors look to make profits, Kyrie is showtime he will always bring profits. Championships are a cherry on top for team owners. Almost 90% of people who have played in the NBA have never won a championship. By your logic most professional athletes don’t do their jobs. And all the teams that have never won a championship don’t do their job.
@Dom Changing team would never be an issue if Kyrie gets the job done. Did Kyrie deliver a championship to Celtics? No he did not! Did Kyrie deliver a championship to Brooklyn? No he did not! And now he ask to be traded again! Really? He should win them at least one chip before leaving. They paid him million of dollars and still nothing!
@Don doesn’t matter, if you don’t like your job you have freedom to change jobs… To speak for myself, each job transition I’ve had, I’ve gotten higher pay. Employers are not required to be loyal to their employees so why must an employee have to remain loyal to their employer? They can terminate us for almost any reason, and we have freedom to quit for any reason. In NBA terms, teams can trade, bench, suspend at free will.
Kyrie has been in control of his own story and narrative his whole career and has no one to blame but himself for how people react to the stupid stuff he does and says. Why will it be any different in Dallas? If he wants people to stop judging him for the stupid things he says and does off the court, then keep your stuff private and don't say stupid things to the media. Pretty simple, but I doubt he will change his social patterns. I hope I'm wrong and things will work out well for Dallas and Kyrie, but until he proves me wrong, I won't respect him based on his past words and actions.
Shaq is having convenient and revisionist flashbacks. He never deferred to Kobe ever. That's why he asked to be traded. There was a feud between he and Kobe over who was the unquestionably team leader.
I hope KD stays on the Nets. We’ve never actually seen a team built specifically around Durant. There’s always been other stars on the team. It’ll b interesting to see
Kyrie is the classic case of: "when he shows up, he's amazing. When he shows up..." We've all worked with a person that was really great at their jobs but they just kept calling out and couldn't be counted on. That's kyrie. I would usually tell people that it's great you need personal/you time, now go somewhere else to find it because I'm tired of carrying your ass because you can't be here--thats not fair to my well being.
Not at all the case. They practically forced him to be out with the 💉 thing. Other than that he pretty much played when healthy didn’t sit out on his own to my knowledge.
He can be a drama queen BUT trying to force that vaccine scam on everyone truly showed who would sell out. KD had his back and hats off to him for that.
They may have the best backcourt if they can work together , but my question is the rest of the team , golden state had a great backcourt ( still do , but age is catching up) ,they still needed green and some competent role players to win ... Dallas doesn't really have that kind of team.
They don't have enough defensively that's why I don't get this trade ...another ball dominant player who doesn't improve their defense ....I hope I'm wrong ....
Yeah "I want to be celebrated, not tolerated." Well, stop doing stupid, selfish things that force people to tolerate you! All anyone wants from him is to do his job!
So, question ( maybe stupid but have never come across this)... Does kyrie still start for the east in next week's all-star game or does someone step up into that position? And if so, who decides who steps up?
I've never seen so many people make an excuse for All Star player just cus they want him on their team but the 2nd he goes there and then leaves their team they feel the same way as every other team before them that that had him!
@Josh2cold_ nobody was beating them accept the cavs who beat them? OK. And that cav team that was still the best chance of beating them? Literally anything else was a downgrade. They had no plans to trade kyrie until he forced his way out. He demanded a trade bro. Lebron has been on the record before said that he still wanted to play with kyrie. Kyrie did not want to play with him simple as that. It's what broke that team up.
@Devante Toppin bro are you delusional? After they won the championship they had to play kd and the warriors🤣 nobody was beating them. Then the cavs had plans to trade Kyrie for Chris Paul right after they won the championship.
@King visuals Kyrie made that shot but Lebron is the reason for that ring in most peoples minds. The burn came after because Kyrie was salty about that fact. Felt he didn't get enough credit (also didn't like being called Lebron's son) and blew up the team instead of going for ring #2. So yeah he burned them and left the team in shambles. They are only now recovering from it actually. You can say it was worth it I guess but they easily could have at least gotten a second ring if things hadn't went south. Remember he could have played and instead choose season ending surgery to force his way out. That's a burn.
@Geronimo Pratt comparing pennies to millions is not a great comparison.. you should remove Malcolm X from your profile.. you are not showing a good use of his words..
@jneroo226 y'all are delusional. More than half of NBA teams are giving at least one player. Max money. There's only one chip to pass around. Based on y'all logic all the teams paying max money should have a chip in return by now. 😂😂😂😂😂
@Rahiem Graham They gave him 34 Million dollars. The return should have been a chip. This is what Shaq said and I agree with him. They were expected to win when that team was formed. The Nets suffer from rookie ownership. The owner knows Alibaba and how to make it win but not an NBA team. He's learning the hard way; through failure.
@Rahiem Graham Shaq was still correct. Don't act that Harden was a bum player. Harden was also an MVP just like KD. And besides these 3 played together but could not finish the job. So Shaq is correct it is a failure.
All dude needs to do is play and produce. However, based on his past, he'll find a way to get out of fulfilling his obligations and always deflect. It's everybody else (even though this is organization number 4). He needs to snap out of it before it's too late and he becomes the Antonio Brown of basketball. I hope he does.
@Tru Tru exactly bruh lol nobody playing a full 82 games but scrubs and young players. When has a superstar actually played 70-82 games in the past 2-3 seasons?
...and what obligation does he have to Dallas? See, it's way too many people in here that dont know ball. He don't owe Dallas $hit. He didn't sign there.
Kyrie giving props to himself on his work ethic is laughable to me. The single biggest issue that the nets had with him is the fact that the dude always seems to find a way to not play consistently.
@Project: Graham Now Harden comes out and says he is NOT surprised that Durant and Kyrie wanted out. The organization is "dysfunctional ". You hate on Kyrie so hard saying his teammates "probably" want to say something (against him). Looks like you are wrong. Not only did other TEAMS want him. His new teammates EMBRACE him. Btw, Jalen Brown stood up for him AGAINST the Nets. You think I don't know what I'm talking about, but apparently I do. The media attack on Kyrie is politically motivated.
@Tyrell Miles I don't know "exactly" what he said on ig, live. People usually misinterpret to fit their own narrative. Again, I blame: Kyrie, for any no call, no show. The Nets, for their ridiculous reaction to the tweet for the video. NYC, for that stupid mandate. I'm specific and practical, not general and emotional. You complain that he should've asked for a trade earlier, but you complain that the trade value wasn't there. So would've complained anyway. Now you complain that he kept his job even though they wouldn't play him for not taking the (experimental) jab. You're trying to run a business, you say. Then negotiate a better contract. (Btw, no one believes that Kyrie was looking for charity. He GIVES charity.) You seem more hurt than the owner, that he paid Kyrie for work not performed. Maybe he understands it's just a down payment on his Karma for his human rights "violations" in China. Anyway, I hope you get over your pain soon.
@357Amun to respond to your point about having no evidence he expected special treatment, this came from that guy’s mouth directly in an ig live. My point is show up and do your job. As far as trading him at that time, they were not gonna get anywhere near what they got offered this past week at that time. Because he didn’t have the production plus the drama surrounding him at that time. I’m trying to run a business. This ain’t no charity. You’re gonna blame the Nets and others for him being so unreliable, it’s ridiculous. He didn’t want to take the jab, request the trade back then to someplace else that doesn’t have a mandate. Out here trying to have his cake and eat it too where he gets paid full salary for part time work in nyc while there’s a mandate in effect and other people in nyc lost their jobs because they didn’t want to get the jab. But he still had his
@Tyrell Miles I have no evidence that he expected special treatment. He was within his right to refuse the jab. Not his fault. I will agree to disagree with you on that. I see that mandate as the city of NYs fault. Yes, Silly mandate. I blame him for no call, no show. However, he only missed a few games for personal reasons, as far as I know. I bring in politics, because the media bashing him is about politics, as I have explained. Also, the Nets could have traded HIM a long time ago. All in all, I agree to disagree with you.
@357Amun what in the actual hell does that have to do with him not showing up to work and his availability? You wanna talk politics and his humanitarian efforts, but he’s still got to do his job. The mandate affected everybody who worked in nyc including local athletes and sports teams. He didn’t want to take the vaccine, that’s fine. There were other guys who didn’t either. Jaylen Brown and Bradley Beal most notably. Difference is they play in cities where there is no mandate. Kyrie was better off asking to be traded last season instead of doing this whole part time, Will he or won’t he play crap. Him thinking the team will make an exception for him is ridiculous because that mandate is way out of the Nets or even the league’s control since it’s a larger authority (local government) issuing it. You’re giving him excuses or a condoning him missing games or barely showing up to do his job. Mans missed games either due to personal reasons (family party, traumatized by the attack on Washington capital, protest) or injury. Only played in 74 games over the past 3.5 years and was always in some controversy that brought unwanted attention to the team as a whole. I’m paying you to do a job and your attendance is horrible and you’re constantly in some drama. As good as you are at said job, why should I keep you around when you’ve given me nothing but headaches and the best we could do is a second round appearance? Make that make sense please. And you want me to give you a raise as well with me knowing all of this and I didn’t get anywhere close to my goal of winning a championship? Not even a conference finals appearance at least. There’s zero accountability here and that’s my problem
With 2 players of this caliber who has the hot hand at the time. Literally both can lead the team to victory. Plus the biggest plus to Luka is another elite point. Egos are always am issue but if the goals are the same.
Luka and Kyrie can play together. The "ball dominant" and "volume shooter" meme only applies when you have a guy whose offense is one-dimensional or isn't interested in playing team ball (e.g., Westbrook and Harden). Both Luka and Kyrie can shoot, facilitate, drive, drive and kick, play pick-and-roll...I have a very hard time believing we'll ever see them taking turns in iso while the other pouts on the perimeter.
It's a two way thing: the Nets might have disrespected Kyrie but we're not going to pretend like he had the utter most respectable behavior for the Nets based on his behavior through his tenure. They both fucked up
@Mamba824 when playing with Kyrie, Harden turned himself into a pass first player. Lebron is naturally a pass first player. Never seen Luka play a pass first style or stand on the opposing side of the court while another player cooks (AS AN OFFENSE/ NOT JUST A PLAY). So if you want to say he can do something that he has never been seen doing in his entire basketball career (Europe included) than go ahead, but understand that its you who sounds "casual." Try again!
Better team my Ass!!! Kyrie left them in 4th place. Lets see if they keep that position. While we watch Dallas go to the Finals. He IS the better team bruh. Th?
Majority of us thought they’d win in Brooklyn, especially after getting Harden. Can’t assess them until the season is done. Anything can happen. Expect the unexpected.
Shaq said a key point. Kyrie has to sacrifice. He didn’t want to in Cleveland, didnt in Boston, didnt in Brooklyn even when he had 2 players better than him.
@General Freddie He was told that it would be his time when he signed the extension. He was working on recruiting, forming an interesting team. Then Lebron showed up again and dramatically changed the plan
Luka is the gratest young player in the league and probably best player in the world right now and he is 23 so Kyrie did a very good move. Happy for Kyrie
It’s gone be difficult because bough of them needs the ball , we will c how they share the ball . I would say first 3 quarters Luca fourth quarter Kyrie but is Luca ok with this ?? I don’t think so , but if it’s work it will be special
"no one talks about my work ethic". Uh, that's EXACTLY what they do! Dude barely played 50% of his games with Brooklyn, while collecting a max contract. The best ability is availability, and Kyrie wasn't there half the time, and that was exclusively on him.
He didn’t surprise me ! Have you seen that kid every time he gets in the game even before kyrie was back from Covid restrictions This guy has been a bullet
People actually forget Luka is a pass first guard and he's been playing with stars in Real Madrid and still he was a leader a 18. This should work out well if Kyrie won't make mistakes on court. Luka is chill off-court and won't give a damn about what Kyrie doing off-court. But if it's on-court, then that's a problem.
I'm interested if Luka is a Lebron or Harden. If he adapts to play with another superstar it's going to be good for his reputation for future stars to come to him.
It’s simple, Kyrie wants to be treated like a no1 but not have any of the criticism or responsibility that comes with it. He wants everyone to call him a leader without him having any leadership abilities, and the way he ended things in Cleveland, Boston and New York will be the same with Dallas. He consistently gets handed what he says he wants but then realizes it’s more than what he bargained for, changes his mind and then bails. It’s sad because he’s super talented and can be one of the best when he wants to be, it’s just becoming less often you see it.
Nah we need the whole Thursday crew to talk about this
Today is the day!
Foreal man, this shaq and the b-team not the tnt crew
@TIptoe I like the trade I just want to hear what chuck had to say
@Wilt son lol they always been hypocrites
Word
I for one am really excited to watch Luka and Kyrie play together. I think they are both generational talents in their own way. I hope they find the synergy they need to start being top contenders...
@Young Philosopher mad a 23 yr old has yet to prove he can win a title. Took a weak team to the WCF in his 3rd year. Lol
@caligreenclean he only started playing like that when his contract is ending. he got traded to the nets in 2019, the trio only played 16 games together, KD and Kyrie only played 72 games together. Do you not remember the dramas and absences?
@Young Philosopher ahaha yep you know basketball as much as the earth is flat.
Can’t wait for Kyrie to tell the people of Dallas that “I’m here to stay..” line. Lmaoooo
THIS!
@Harrison Hendricks they sure did 😂
@Lewis Jones wha bs …
@yesssurrr I need Chuck out here spitting truth. These guys are all too green and nice. Chuck will call out Kyrie’s bs. “Wants to go somewhere celebrated and not just tolerated” GTFOH! Brooklyn loved and embraced Kyrie. He just refused coming to work. In NYC, during a pandemic, he refused to get vaccinated, so yeah its tough to tell people like my 75 year old parents who survived cancer in Midwood Brooklyn to spend their retirement money to cheer for a selfish ungrateful person who is okay not getting vaccinated to a deadly virus.
Dallas ppl don’t trip off that we good for the moment
I think the thing people underestimate is that Luka is unselfish with the ball naturally. Kylie will get lots of good setups because that's what Luka does already his team mates just aren't All-Star level finishers.
@gasoline that is a good point.
“Unselfish”
@Chase White very unselfish
@mastermind401you don’t watch basketball I can tell. Only highlights and talk shows
Yup plus kyrie played SG while Harden operated the Point so this fit will work I won't be surprised if they make a finals run possibly
So if that was the case and I was his teammate, all I would think is wish you the best on getting what you think you deserve, hopefully you suit up with us again.
Basketball is a business! Do you have 80 mill in the Bank? At the end of the day Kyrie is Richer everyone in the Comment Section!
@bacon not cripy Yeah because he was leaving situations. How long was he happy in Boston? How long was he happy in Brooklyn? Those are 2 places he WANTED to go to! Then what?
100% right. He didn’t want Lebron back! People forget that!
As a Luka and Kyrie fan, I’m excited to see this. I am sure to be entertained for the remainder of the season!
Could be a very good tandem
“Sees him play with his new teammates” has a layup loop 10 times
@Clarence Bishop that team wouldn't work
So sad a billion dollar company cares about making pennys still 😭
Next year Luca, Irving, and LeBron playing for Dallas. Cuban will pay luxury taxes.
@Mireille Davidson At least we are honest. One point for you!
Said the same in Boston an in Brooklyn with KD
@Frankie DM lol, it was five o'clock in the morning here, that's the excuse, it's all I have, so I'm holding onto it. Yes, it's sad.
How do you misspell the man’s name twice? It is Luka lmao
He has a good assist game
Shaq talking about how he gave Kobe the 4th quarter was deep.
Cause he was tired by the 4th quarter! lol
Love
@sterling grier let me guess, you want him to shut up and dribble right?
Shaq is talking a lot after Kobe is gone!
💯
I also think it is a tricky thing, but wenn Shaq is talking about the 4th quarter was for Kobe, I was immediatley thinking, if Kidd can manage it, to switch the 4th quarter to Luka in one game and in the next game to Kyrie, the Defense will have big problems, as they start doubling both of them and all of a sudden you have 2 players free.
Nah…I want to hear Chuck’s reaction 😂
@Matthew Gandy chuck is everything
WHO CARES ABOUT WHAT CHUCK THINKS ME I COULD CARELESS ABOUT WITH ANYBODY THINKS ABOUT KYRIE GOING TO DALLAS ITS HIS CHOICE
Who cares what chuck says or think about kyrie!!
If this man helps get this city a championship I’ll celebrate him for the rest of my life
Lmao that’s not gonna happen
Kyrie best of luck to you in Dallas. Thank you for many wonderful memories!
All those memories of Kyries missed games. Smh
@Giffen is Good like milk 😂
WELL THIS AGED WELL
The Nets have a Garbage roster what are talking about?
Yes, every team needs to get rid of their best offensive talent
I wanna hear the real TNT crews reaction
I'm glad they talked about Cam Thomas at the end. Do that more please. If the established 'stars' are going to miss games or act like dumbass divas, then focus on the players who are there on the court and lighting it up.
Sounds like we have some Sissy’s in the comments!
Kyrie didn’t light it up? He’s leading the league in 4th quarter scoring….
Glad to see Spencer Dinwiddie come back to BK……. They should’ve never let him go in the 1st place
@Gurey G definitely hurt them….. BK should’ve kept that whole pre-Kyrie roster intact
The Jarrett Allen trade hurt more imo
Yep the great thing BK i know is just Burger King
He is as mediocre as the come, he is a bench player on a good team.
Shouldn't have never. So.. They should have let him go then?
I swear in the past 5 years it seems like the days of playing 82 games or even 70 is a thing of the past. You're lucky if you get 60 games out of the stars via always injured or "REST"
@Skilled Artist see the tackling aspect I don't see as terrible, unless it's a person who deliberately tries to injure others, it's very similar to hockey in that regard. It's the line men that I see as the muscle head meatballs 🤣
@jesse house 😂😂😂 damn dude you didn’t have to do the players like that. 😂😂
Hey man players get injured; it happens. Also, the game changes over the years. I think the pace has gotten faster.
@jesse house well I think hockey and football are much different because football involves a lot of blocking and block shedding between many of the players on every single play. Also, in football one of the main ways to stop players from scoring is to tackle them to the ground.
@Gifted Hands 45 and more every week
This is the quietest year for trade I can remember. Even with the dedman trade today there's only been 4 trades this season. Only 2 trades this year involve players who are rotation players. The kyrie trade and the rui trade to LA. So really only 2 trades so far this whole season. Even if it's a busy deadline going this far with 2 notable trades is crazy.
Happy for you Kyrie. A man who says he wants to write his own story. I encourage every 🇺🇸 man, especially every BM to write their own story no matter a sport or what you do. Go where your celebrated not tolerated
Every human being.
Our thoughts and prayers to the Mavs.
@Definitely not Lebron James just curious, do you still feel the same way lol
@Keshon R bro whats blank boy
@David Gaskins Imagine just barely (3 wins) be above the .500 mark and yet some dude on the internet is so proud of it that he calls you a bum. The standards of that internet dude must be so low.
@i forgot Imagine just barely (3 wins) be above the .500 mark and yet some dude on the internet call your team a contender. The standards of that internet dude must be so low.
@Definitely not Lebron James yes, we have take screenshot of your comments and 2 months from now you will be laughed at
I believe if Luka plays more without the ball the Mavs are a legit contender.
Exactly bro, Luka ball hogs too much,
They talk about what you do off the floor because its nuts and you shine a spotlight on it. Shaq is absolutely right about the co-star thing
@The Bard Guy I'm glad you said it because I'm tired of writing it. It's the truth... Shaq had the same movie playing
Nah, the media does.
*Covid shot mandate (we all saw he was right)
*Antisemitic issue that wasn't really antisemitic.
@Dom Kyrie is a member of a union, or the Nets owner would have cut him and refused to pay him for breach of contract.
@Dom Do most people who quit on their employers keep getting good new jobs?
Kyrie has been in control of his own story and narrative his whole career and has no one to blame but himself for how people react to the stupid stuff he does and says. Why will it be any different in Dallas? If he wants people to stop judging him for the stupid things he says and does off the court, then keep your stuff private and don't say stupid things to the media. Pretty simple, but I doubt he will change his social patterns. I hope I'm wrong and things will work out well for Dallas and Kyrie, but until he proves me wrong, I won't respect him based on his past words and actions.
Past behavior is an indicator of future behavior.
This is one of the few trades that I feel was balanced. Just need to flip those picks for another player
I'm with Shaq on this one, when u put so much effort, being humble gets you nowhere
Shaq you know damn well you didn’t want Kobe to take that last shot
Shaq is having convenient and revisionist flashbacks. He never deferred to Kobe ever. That's why he asked to be traded. There was a feud between he and Kobe over who was the unquestionably team leader.
Exactly what shaq stated. The reason why cam thompson is on fire right now! I doubt it will work any better than other franchise he started from.
This new Tuesday group is improving. Jamal is great fit with these guys. But the Inside group is still a whole ‘nother level.
Marc Cuban Is A Genius 🙏
I hope KD stays on the Nets. We’ve never actually seen a team built specifically around Durant. There’s always been other stars on the team. It’ll b interesting to see
Kyrie is the classic case of: "when he shows up, he's amazing. When he shows up..."
We've all worked with a person that was really great at their jobs but they just kept calling out and couldn't be counted on. That's kyrie. I would usually tell people that it's great you need personal/you time, now go somewhere else to find it because I'm tired of carrying your ass because you can't be here--thats not fair to my well being.
That’s me😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Not at all the case. They practically forced him to be out with the 💉 thing. Other than that he pretty much played when healthy didn’t sit out on his own to my knowledge.
@Marlane Kelly Cancel culture isn't real. Also learn how to use paragraphs.
@Aloha Tigers No need to bootlick Kyrie, he doesn't know who you are.
He can be a drama queen BUT trying to force that vaccine scam on everyone truly showed who would sell out. KD had his back and hats off to him for that.
Shaq is consistent when he closes his take, its all about him..😏
Duh!
He’s a former player. He’s going talk about his own experience. 🙄
"There were times in Brooklyn where I felt very disrespected..."
GEE, I WONDER WHY THAT COULD BE
Is he talking about the Celtics 'disrespecting' him by sweeping him in 4 games?
The crazy part about Crawford is he can suit up right now and give it to a lot of NBA cats, handles only matched by Kyrie.
Vince Carter...there are many that can suit up right now. It's nice to see that energy and endurance about them right?
We need you Kyrie you and Luka can take us to the finals with the rest of the team best news in the NBA 🏀💍💍💍💎💎💎
I really Love shaq❤️ he is a true inspiration 💯💯
Straight to work...from a guy who's missed half of the last 4 seasons. Many times by his choices
@guru47pi nah y’all want him to do what you want him to do there is a difference
It’s team Lebron vs Team Giannis so I don’t think it matters
@Devante Toppin butttt cavs got a ring . Make that make sense
@Geronimo Pratt comparing pennies to millions is not a great comparison.. you should remove Malcolm X from your profile.. you are not showing a good use of his words..
Literally just wanted to hear Shaq’s reaction
@Rahiem Graham They had three players that could potentially give them 70 to 90 points per night. Do you dispute this?
@jneroo226 y'all are delusional. More than half of NBA teams are giving at least one player. Max money. There's only one chip to pass around. Based on y'all logic all the teams paying max money should have a chip in return by now. 😂😂😂😂😂
@Rahiem Graham They gave him 34 Million dollars. The return should have been a chip. This is what Shaq said and I agree with him. They were expected to win when that team was formed. The Nets suffer from rookie ownership. The owner knows Alibaba and how to make it win but not an NBA team. He's learning the hard way; through failure.
I can't wait to hear Chuck's reaction
@Rahiem Graham Shaq was still correct. Don't act that Harden was a bum player. Harden was also an MVP just like KD. And besides these 3 played together but could not finish the job. So Shaq is correct it is a failure.
Shaq is a warrior!! He Knows How To Win!!!!!🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Kyrie will never leave Dallas, He will never leave Luka. He's as loyal as can be. to be continued...
Our thoughts and prayers go out with Dallas cus we know Kyrie about the ruin Lukas teams potential after this season!
@Ryan L Tell me 1 NBa player other than Bridges that plays more than 60% of the games. Yall don't know ball at all. It's embarrassing.
...and what obligation does he have to Dallas? See, it's way too many people in here that dont know ball. He don't owe Dallas $hit. He didn't sign there.
@Monsuta Man He plays about 60% of the time. Not a great return on investment.
Thank you!!! I respect this decision… ppl 100% does exactly what he don’t do. Congrats Kia: create your own & ball out like always.
This is crazy. The nets were on a big winning streak and looked like they had a chance. Then Kyrie pulls a Harden.
Again, I blame:
Kyrie, for any no call, no show.
He GIVES charity.)
You seem more hurt than the owner, that he paid Kyrie for work not performed.
Chuck was right, this is one of the craziest trade deadlines ever
4:13 ON PAPER…*clears throat* 😂😂😂
I wish chuck was there to make some funny ass comment on that 🤣
@Luis Brito brooo he looked utterly disgusted 😂😂
@Tru Tru imagine a KZclip commentor saying a four time, NBA champion, Hall of Famer, and all-time great Center doesn’t know basketball
@Tru Tru they didn't hire him for his basketball knowledge. They chose him because he's Shaq. He's said it over and over
@Tru Tru “Shaq doesn’t know ball”🤣🤣🤣
I don’t think I’ve ever heard so many contradictions in one paragraph than I do when Kyrie speaks!😂🤡
Lol
This is Kyrie's 12th season in the NBA. He's played in 60 or more games in a season 5 times.
@Charles T (TV Charlie) Like what? And how many games? Because you cant say vaccine. That was his right. And any other time he missed was so small
@Don I'm not here to defend, I'm here to address misinformation
@noremaC Wow, on pace to hit 60 games in an 82 game season. No wonder he feels entitled to a max contract.
This crew is a snooze! Need Chuck, Kenny, and Ernie on this one.
I feel so bad for Kyrie. I hope he gets his $200 million dollar pay day from Dallas, so he doesn't have to struggle paying his bills.
With 2 players of this caliber who has the hot hand at the time. Literally both can lead the team to victory. Plus the biggest plus to Luka is another elite point. Egos are always am issue but if the goals are the same.
Shaq speaking facts...
Luka and Kyrie can play together. The "ball dominant" and "volume shooter" meme only applies when you have a guy whose offense is one-dimensional or isn't interested in playing team ball (e.g., Westbrook and Harden). Both Luka and Kyrie can shoot, facilitate, drive, drive and kick, play pick-and-roll...I have a very hard time believing we'll ever see them taking turns in iso while the other pouts on the perimeter.
they will work better as a team if they're both aggressive in crunch time
I just want Luka to also get a ring so Shaq cant use that against him
Most serious Shaq has been on this show
I wasn’t shocked I knew he wasn’t going to LA. The media wanted that to happen.
@Jaylon Kyrie will never get back on his daddy's shadow.
He gone sign ina off season watch
That dude said his work ethic 😂😂😂😂. Dude had a ton of no call no shows.
Let's see if Kyrie will respect the alpha... For some reason I still hope he can learn from past mistakes
It's a two way thing: the Nets might have disrespected Kyrie but we're not going to pretend like he had the utter most respectable behavior for the Nets based on his behavior through his tenure. They both fucked up
If luka and Kyrie can mix I can see them combining w 70-80 points but if it don’t work it’s just another bust
Dallas got the better player, but Nets made themselves a better team
@Zzz Vain like I said Dallas got better overall
@Tru Tru Yeah lets see where dallas ends up. I can't wait for this one 🤣😂🤣. Burst yall little 2K GM mode bubbles
Th?
Shaq talking about sacrificing but he left orlando cause penny was shining and left la cause kobe was saving him
Insecure, everyone knows this
0:23 this is how Westbrook feel smh , salute kyrie and Russell
Nets situation was not repairable glad he went somewhere he can thrive
Is it more likely that everyone else Is the problem or is it more likely kyrie continues to be the problem
I hope this duo will work
Since Kyrie signed with the Nets, the Teams played around 300 games, including the playoffs. Kyrie played in 143 of them, averaging 27 points.
Kyrie mentions his "work ethic". Someone should explain that "work ethic includes SHOWING UP TO WORK. 😂
Shaq “on paper 🐸 “ lmao
Majority of us thought they’d win in Brooklyn, especially after getting Harden. Can’t assess them until the season is done. Anything can happen. Expect the unexpected.
They're tryna in mitate GSW which will never happen when you have a snake and tryna enable him.
Mavs toast w Kyrie.
Only way this makes sense is if Luka personally wanted this. If he didn't you'll lose Luka soon after this blows up
@Derrick John Kyrie will leave before Luka for weird reasons
u guys smoking crack, luka gave the go signal to this trade and knows what he might get
@Jetplane Hollywood lol no he won't. You're free to keep thinking that tho
@Derrick John Luka's different, he will definitely leave if they're going nowhere
Luka signed off on it, Yes. I think J Kidd and Cuban are the ones who really wanted it.
We watch this because of Shaq's takes
Shaq said a key point. Kyrie has to sacrifice. He didn’t want to in Cleveland, didnt in Boston, didnt in Brooklyn even when he had 2 players better than him.
Jamal should have a permanent spot on one of these nba shows , dudes legit talking ball and delivery .
I like jamal the player but he's boring as a panelist
He said the same thing when he went to Boston and Brooklyn. He wore out his welcome in Cleveland too. At some point, the player is the problem
Yep!
@King visuals they watch too much espn
@NookO seriously, people just eat up the propoganda
Just say you wanted him fired from the NBA.....at some point fans gotta understand control issues. Please apply for team personnel.
Crawford doin great u can tell he's more comfortable on camera now
Kyrie fans gonna spend a lot to constantly get new jerseys. He’s becoming a journeyman at this point.
Can't wait to hear what Chuck and the guys have to say about his...Gauranteeeeeee!!!!
@ABSV he could have played games if he was willing to take covid tests
@Don regardless of why he didn’t, he didn’t and as a result didn’t get paid.
@thatcityboy73 what????
Agreed with Shaq 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He didn’t surprise me !
Have you seen that kid every time he gets in the game even before kyrie was back from Covid restrictions
This guy has been a bullet
Real question: How would the narrative be had he got traded to the Lakers?
People actually forget Luka is a pass first guard and he's been playing with stars in Real Madrid and still he was a leader a 18. This should work out well if Kyrie won't make mistakes on court. Luka is chill off-court and won't give a damn about what Kyrie doing off-court. But if it's on-court, then that's a problem.
I'm interested if Luka is a Lebron or Harden. If he adapts to play with another superstar it's going to be good for his reputation for future stars to come to him.
Candace gonna put somebody's eyes out with them shoulder pads.
She looks like an extra in a Janet Jackson video from 1987
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She repping the Grammy agenda? Surely not
As Shaq gets older, he sounds more and more like dikembe Mutombo
Luka played with Dragic on his national team for years. He knows how to play with other guards.
Sure you know very well what Kyrie wants LOL
