many years ago, on the eve of Bhaiyadooj DIwali, Indian team got all out for 54 in the final against SriLanka. i was a kid back then and i literally cried that day. I always wanted that shameful memory to get erased from my mind, as a hardcore cricket fan i just wanted India to get back at SL the same way. but, This still doesnt make us even because that time we had our best team playing and we still lost badly by 245 runs. I vividly remember Sunil joshi dropping Sanath and then he went on a carnage and destroyed our bowling. but now i understand why cricket is called a great equilizer. so cherish your victories but stay graceful towards your opponents. Srilankan fans behaved very maturely and their spirit is amazing!!

Watch Mitchell Starc world cup 2015 spell 6 for 27 against New Zealand. Australia set a target of around 150 in 50 overs. Great bowling effort by Trent Boult picking 5 for 28 runs. But when New Zealand came out to chase, Starc almost changed the fate of the match. It felt like he could pick up a wicket on every single delivery he bowled that day. 4 of his wickets were bowled, all top and middle order wickets. Although in the end NZ won, it was a close escape for them. Starc owned them.
hi, i am a Sri Lankan, what my concern is that i am extremely proud of my country since they came to the final defeating so many tournaments but unluckily, we lost the final. any way we should have more responsible when we see the balling style and the pressure when we get from Indian team. at lease the rest of the batters should have been able to stay in the wicket without going for shots with carelessly. i mean at least when the wickets come down to 3 and 04 we should have batting patiently taking a break in order score more and more to come out of the pressure. i feel we lost the game bcs of not managing the batting style when the pressure comes in. i love, my country Sri Lanka and wish all the best my Neighbour India.

What a performance from the Indian team especially Siraj and Pandeya but especially Siraj as he took out the most important pillars of the SL batting line ups that too in early stage of the game.. He pretty much sucked out the confidence of those remaining SLn batsmen after he took his 2nd wicket🔥🔥🔥... Its also quite embarassing for the whole SL team cuz if it weren't for those 5 extras and that unnecessary four runs while trying to run out, the runs would have been 41 or maybe 42...

It is high time that coaches and support staff analyze and evaluate this strategy of positive cricket. If you see many shots of Sri Lankan batters, all loop the cherry in the air and overambitious drives. Especially in the final matches, this strategy is responsible for very low scoring. A time to mix the strategy of starting with caution and build on it. I am very happy to see my country winning in the finals.

It does when its new and hard. But an old ball can reverse as well. Unfortunately, 2 new balls from each end reduces that aspect. They should revert to just one ball per innings.

It was a heartbreaking match. But it's ok. We don't need to criticize our player. We know. They have talent. But they should learn how to handle this kind of situation. 4 wickets were down only for 8 runs. Then 6 wickets were down for 12 runs. That was not easy situation. All players failed to absorb that pressure.. But as crickerters you should learn from it.
