Steven's loneliness is nearly palpable. The way OI depicts his sadness, it's universally understood: If you've ever known it, you immediately recognize it in his eyes. Gah. He's too damn good.
Steven’s little Mr. Knight eyes being all squinty and happy when he realized he landed the punch was the most adorable thing, protect him at all costs.
Steven is clearly going to be the moral center of Moon Knight, with Marc being the less moral guy willing to go the extra step when they need to. I suspect Jake (the third personality we were only given the slightest hints to) is less moral than either of them but he's more coniving and intellegent and while he's absolutely willing to let people die he doesn't like doing it himself.
I'm glad that Marvel waited until now to make Moon Knight. They needed to get the audience ready for this quirky, intriguing, brilliant character. Like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Luke Cage were little known outside their loyal fans, he's a character that deserves to be better known just for being so awesome.
@glocktop91 well all I know is I've been a Moon Knight fan since the 1980s and I have met few people in the past 30 plus years who know who he is. For example, about 6 years ago I was at a Comics convention event where the audience was cheering for various characters. Someone on stage mentioned Moon Knight and I was 1 of around 3 people in a room of over 600 comic book fans who cheered and most people were looking puzzled. They had no idea and some people were asking if he was a "DC, Marvel or independent" character
@Chilly The Ice Cucumber actually its #39 ranked hero of marvel for popularity i can tell you just watch the movies and just judge if its popular if its in pop culture lol
At the end of this episode when Steven is stuck in the mirror… that has to be the saddest sh** I ever experienced or saw. He was so sad and he was suffering it was truly heartbreaking.
@B Ella69 We have seen a bunch of shots with three reflections so i think it might be a matter of they are foreshadowing a 3rd and that’ll be a thing for a possible season 2.
We are just so lucky to have Oscar Isaac on this show. I never thought he'd have anything to do with Disney after Star Wars. Whoever convinced him to do this show has my gratitude.
When you see a call coming from Kevin Feige or David Filoni you have to answer ... Now if Oscar see's a call coming from Kathleen Kennedy, he probably reports it as spam and blocks the call 😂
I noticed that when Ethan's character took the scarab from the follower, he never judged him with the scales, he just killed him for no apparent reason than touching the scarab.
Yea it seemed like the moment where they needed to reinforce that he’s the villain just in case his justifications were fooling the audience. He clearly doesn’t actually value human life or justice, it’s just window dressing to indoctrinate his followers
His 3rd personality Jake has already been around in this show it just got overlooked but strong chance Jake is the one who asked the lady out at the Museum on a date in episode 1 because Steven was 100% lost on what she was even talking about, and Marc is a very strong alpha male type that does not have Steven's accent so she would have noticed not only the change in behavior but accent as well so it was not Marc or Steven who asked her out to the steak dinner.
You could go frame by frame for most of that chase sequence all the way through him catching the Moon Blade back and it's just like "That's a poster. That's a poster. That's a wallpaper. That's a poster." and I absolutely loved how multiple parts of that sequence felt like comic book panels.
It’s kind of awesome that Marc needs to learn to be more compassionate, and Steven needs to learn to become a little more assertive. Let’s learn and grow and heal together is a great message.
@Spencer McClure I've read a lot of Moon Knight, most of the time it is very ambiguous whether Kohnshu is or isn't his own being. Just saying, as with a lot of Moon Knight, I dont know for sure.
@JoeyBagOfDoughnuts Khonshu is an entirely different being. If it were him meant to be implied in the third image I'd imagine that they'd use an actual image of Khonshu instead of a third Oscar, which would have been pretty damn cool visually now that I think about it.
@pReview'd Does this mean Adam is Son of Moon Knight and inherited "a fraction of her power". Also does that mean that Khonshu is Adam's Moon Godfather? 🤔👍🤣
The rooftop chase scene was just... perfection. Pure comic book panels throughout that whole sequence, ending with the hero shot of him reaching up to the sky to catch his moon dart below the crescent moon. Some of the best, most iconic images in recent Marvel projects. (That shot of Khonshu crouching on the rooftop overlooking the vegan foot clan was up there too.) Loved how they handled Mr. Knight. Loved the deep conversations with Marc v. Steven and Steven v. Arthur. Really excited for what I assume will be an action-adventure turn in Egypt.
I knew nothing about Moon Knight comics so I didn't really know what I was in for. This show is beyond my wildest expectations. The acting, the visuals, the soundtrack, the little scare jumps they put in. I'm excited to see what they have in store next. Also, I read an article that Oscar Isaac hired his younger brother to play opposite him in the Marc/Steven scenes. They would film it one way and switch to film the other way.
Got my wife to watch Episode 1 of Halo and she said “I’ll watch episode 2 if we can watch Adam and Jay’s reaction.” I’m so excited to watch that. And FYI you two have helped me get the wife involved in “my” shows! 👍🏼
In the first episode one of the guards mentions to Harrow that they were attacked at a deal, so he probably never had the scarab and was just about to get it off of someone but then Marc stopped it
At some point I think Marc will need to reconcile that Steven only came into being (I assume) because of the trauma he's gone through. I think you're right about them needing to become "friends", aka not Marc trying to suppress Steven, his trauma. Hope I made sense.
@Husky Thor correct Nick Fury : These new long range precision guns can eliminate a thousand hostiles a minute. The satellites can read a terrorist's DNA before he steps outside his spider hole. We're gonna neutralize a lot of threats before they even happen. Steve Rogers : I thought the punishment usually came *after* the crime. Nick Fury : We can't afford to wait that long.
More like the opposite. This guy is killing people who might do evil in the future. While in Winter Soldier, Hydra's plan was to get kill anyone who is and who would become a threat to them.
I've wondered if the living statue could be Ra Lord of the gods and the Ennead. The golden skin that Ra has when he's in human form and he shines bright like a Sun god. The monocle could represent the sun disk his symbol and its only one eye as in the "Eye of Ra" the eye that sees all, mortal and immortal. And his silence just listening is what Ra did with mortals. In the Egyptian mythology anyway.
if you havent read the comics and want to go in blind this could be interpreted as a spoiler - - - - - - the living statue is credited as being crawley at the end of the show; in the comics, crawley was a homeless man that befriended jake lockley (one of marc's other alters) and helped him keep tabs on what was going on in the streets.
i've seen enough tv to know that all things could have a purpose beyond their obvious role - in this case, giving steven a vehicle to exposit.. but, dammit, i completely missed this choice! **curtsies low with respect** i f*cks wid it (as the kids say these days)
They're my OG, and favorite, reactors. They have the same emotional connection to these shows and films that many of us do, and aren't afraid to show each of those moments. I know it came back to bite him in the ass, but my favorite of those types of videos is Lashy crying for Old Man in Squid Game. It's exactly the right reaction. And so was our righteous anger bc SCREW YOU, OLD MAN!
You have to be listening close, but when Marc is stomping the Steven mirror. He says the MCU's first uncensored F bomb. The final time he stomps he screams "shut the fuck up". This is a historic MCU moment. And lowkey surprised it didn't come from Deadpool. This show is so good. Not just because of the f bomb, but it just feels like an adult show.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I just rewatched it a few times, and while I definitely hear what sounds like "shut the fuck up", I can also hear it as just "shut--SHUT UP"...
Jay, until now, Arthur never had the scarab, that's why heasn't gone to the tomb yet. In episode 1, Marc interrupted the exchange where he was supposed to get the scarab.
The editing & the way they shot some of these scenes, along with Oscar Isaac’s performance just makes it look so incredible. I’m thoroughly enjoying this show thus far without even knowing anything about the Character beforehand, it’s just so cool.
I can imagine a What If…? episode where Ammit judges The Avengers before they became heroes. I’m pretty sure only Steve Rogers could be deemed good by the scale.
I'm also so digging Ethan Hawke. I think he's going to continue being even more awesome. And F Murray Abraham's voice as Khonshu? Salieri as a god? Perfect casting.
the tv show pitch meeting: "yo, mr Feige, what if.... moon knight..... JUST KICKED ASS FOR SIX EPISODES?" Kevin Feige stands up and yells "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
It will be interesting to see if they have a turmoil of Steven coming to terms with the fact it kinda isnt HIS body and HIS life its Marc's Marc was the original theres a trail of marc's life but steven probably wouldnt actually remember anything concrete past him working at the gift shop. I like how they are being up front that Khonshu is not a good person. also it may just be me but i think the crescent moons that show at the end of the episodes are filling up idk i'd have to watch it back.
I do like how they are giving story reasons to save money for the first episodes, Steven not seeing any of the fighting in Swtizerland, not having to show the jackel for most of this episode.
So far, they're doing the right formula with this one! --letting us see the "origin" of the character through the newer alter's eyes, so we're on the ride with him. Very clever. And they really ramped it up this episode. With this pacing, I think we're gonna be seeing some hella action from here on out. The editing, cinematography, plot, pacing: all top-notch right now. I think the culture needed this little Marvel boost.
Often times when actors play multiple characters I'm not that sold on it, its not usually bad but the distinctions between the characters are sort of vague. Oscar Isaac manages to pull off two completely different character performances that are completely believable. Can't wait to see what comes next, absolutely loving Moon Knight so far.
I love that the show hasn't referenced any other Marvel properties yet. It makes the world, at least within this show, feel more grounded and isolated, thus the things happening feel more out there and impactful.
It seems to me that Marc and Steven will have to come to some sort of agreement and TOGETHER, choose to continue being Moon Knight. Otherwise KHonshu is going to take Layla. He seemed dead set on choosing her next. And neither wants to see her hurt. But it’ll be a journey because clearly Marc isn’t telling Steven the whole truth.
Totally with you on the Mom thing. My Mom does like some fantasy, superhero stuff, but she loved the first episode of Moon Knight. And my Dad was like, "It was ok". Lol.
I loved this episode. I don't understand why some youtubers didn't like it, of course the first one was a boom but this was amazing, maybe because I love expository episodes.
I love that this episode shows that Steven is not a loser or the comic relief. He stood up for himself and for the right cause (esp in that killing children thing), he's not afraid of Marc, he doesn't want to give up his body to Marc even tho Marc is more capable, but Steven believes that this is still his life. Also because he doesn't want Marc to hurt other people. I love that.
Seems like Steven will hopefully develop into a cerebral 'detective' Knight character with Marc as the brawny Moon Knight character. Caught the Global Repatriation Council (GRC from FaWS) ad on the side of the London double-decker bus placing this show post the FaWS show! Looking forward to Benson & Moorhead who directed this episode & Ep 4 directing Loki S2! QR Code to Moon Knight Comics was a nice touch - this type of Easter Egg should be incorporated as organically as possible into other MCU movies & shows!
@Spencer McClure The museum has the Egypt exhibit as starting in April I believe. So if this show is after F&WS it's just approx. a month apart. Which is fine, but I do hope they space it apart. 2024 & 2025.
I'm going to hazard a guess that this would place the events of Moon Knight right after the events of FaWS where the GRC is fully operational but their operations have been slightly altered by the stuff with the Flag Smashers.
So it's not entirely inaccurate, but the fact that they've messed up some means even when they get it right, when a new addition is added it is met with some skepticism. Although in this particular case as I said earlier I do think _Moon Knight_ is 2025.
@meow The one people pointed out from day one, that they've yet to fix, is that they still have _Thor: The Dark World_ before _Iron Man 3_ In IM3 it's mentioned to be the same year as the Chitauri Invasion (2012) and it's Christmas week, so IM3 is December 2012. Thor 2 is 2013, as reinforced by _Endgame_ when it said 2013 on-screen. Thor 2, as pointed out by many fans, should be before IM3. They've yet to fix that. _Shang-Chi_ and TFATWS are both April 2024, but _Shang-Chi_ should be listed first as it's early April. But I'll give that one a pass as it's same month, same year. _Eternals_ is set in 2023, yet it's listed after _Shang-Chi_ and TFATWS which are 2024.
@meow I'm sorry, you wanted me to point out all the inaccuracies of the Disney+ timeline here in the comments section rather than say, idk, looking it up yourself? all right, give me a moment.
It really didn’t take me long to get invested in Moon Knight. What an awesome character. The entire concept of Egyptian gods, to his multiple personality’s. So good!
FUN FACT: When Steven Grant aka Mr. Knight and Marc Spector aka Moon Knight are in scenes together Oscar Isaac Hernandez Estrada is acting against his real life brother, Michael Benjamin Hernandez during them, well he switches between roles.
Definitely Oscar Isaacs best performance of all time! And I’m a HUGE Moon Knight fan of the comics, and I’m loving every second of this show. And I love how they’re making Marc/Stevens story in a new direction than the comics. The story is different, different characters, different setting, but honestly, that’s what I love about it. And I like how Marvel is pushing away from comic story’s like Infinity War and Civil War and literally telling a brand new story in a brand new way. I can’t wait for what they have in the future!
Very solid second episode! Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke are killing it. May Calamaway as Layla is great. I freaking LOVE Steven Grant so much. That brief moment with Mr. Knight is so cool. I need more with him. That "argument" between Marc and Steven was heartbreaking. Can't wait for next week's episode.
Point: Harrow DIDN'T have the scarab. Last episode one of the minions told Harrow that the "exchange" had been interrupted and that two of their men were killed. So Harrow was apparently buying the scarab from someone else and Marc showed up during the exchange and took it.
After watching your reactions from compilations of reactions to episodes of Mandalorian and Boba Fett I had to come over and watch the whole thing and you guys do not disappoint 😂
You guys are killing it! I haven't seen a comment about it, so I want to let Jay know that "Where-ub/Scare is the Where-ub" is as perfect a portmanteau-as-joke as I have ever heard. I re-watched that part of the the video multiple times just to enjoy that moment unfold in real time.
This show has, somehow, successfully given so much in only 2 episodes, while feeling less episodic and more cinematic at the same time. This might end up being the best MCU TV series by the time this show is over
its such a clever execution ...plotwise kinda streamlined but there might be some plot twists we can't predict yet...looks awesome...its what i want with a spawn movie...the frames are straight out a comics...beautiful...grabbing his throwing sickle...sick 🙂 the conversation he has towards the end cracking the mirrors is something i wanna see with the hulk and banner
With Dissociative Identity Disorder, the only examples I've seen were on soap operas but they are doing a fantastic job with the knowledge I have from my psych textbooks. I'm really into this show for the mental aspect just like WandaVision dealt with grief
Armor from Knoshu's temple not psycho Colonel Sanders!! Ever since I watched the episode this morning I've been waiting for this line and reaction!! You two did not disappoint!! I rate this 2 out of 2 lit up eyes beginning his transformation!!
The way I did a full-body FLINCH at Adam’s comment about the scarab & knew exactly what he was referring to, even before Jay said “The Mummy has traumatized an entire generation of people”… 😂 I’m from South Korea y’all, and I’ve watched that movie only like twice back when I was very, very young. But yes… it changed the way I perceive scarabs in Egypt forever. Very lovely.
i must admit i know nothing about moon knight, completely new for me, but i am hooked and loving it. Oscar Isaacs is killing it, and he does not a bad english accent ( a rarity ) . This show has , in 2 episodes come to be my favourite disney show so far. And being a massive D.C. fan i am a sucker for a good cape wearing hero, no matter what edna mode thinks!😄
I hate how charismatic Arthur is. When he was talking with Steven while walking down the street I was like yes, may I join this cult? Marvel has been absolutely killing it with the grey characters lately. And I love how there were a few shots where it looked like Steven was actually making Arthur question his beliefs “Enjoy the Shadow Realm” I’ve been watching Yu-Gi-Oh again lately so all these references are 👌🏻 I’m watching all the ancient Egyptian content
A friend of mine worded it best: this show excels because from one point of view it's a horror story and from the other it's a supernatural action adventure. And the detective version in a suit is "Mr. Knight" who in the 2014 run was introduced as a nicer personality of Moon Knight, someone more palatable for coordinating with the police. He's a bit Holmes esque.
When Marc grabbed the scarab in the alps, it was during a hand-off. Harrow was just about to get the scarab. He didn't already have it. Only caught that on the second watch through.
all i could think during steven's conversation about ammut, was that she sounds an awful lot like the tva's judgement of variants' "time crimes". we know kang has an egyptian pharaoh variant in the comics (i believe tied into the x-men villain apocalypse somehow), so this makes me curious if moon knight is more tied in to the main plot of phase 4 than we think. this could be how we get mutants introduced.
In the comic Marc has 3 personalities to help him. Steven Grant (who is rich in the comic but not here) who I think is the heart of Marc, Jake Lockley (cab driver) and of course, Mr. Knight aka Moon Knight. I wonder if Jake will make an appearance. If he does, what will his personality be like? Will Marc be able to get them all to work together as one? This show is so good. Oscar (he is bae 🥰) is doing a great job showing us Marc's battle within.
Only thing, I wish they hadn't had anyone other than Steven interact with the jackal. I'd love it if they kept it ambiguous as to if it really existed for as long as possible - the being thrown around by an invisible demon thing was cool but I could've lived without it for an episode just to really play on the possibility that all of this is still psychocsis
khonshu is the god of negging fr. you really get a sense for how both marc and steven are trapped in this situation. also i wonder if they're setting up mr knight to be steven's superhero identity and moon knight to be marc's. it's a departure from the comics, but i would kind of like it.
Another excellent episode. Discovered that if you scan the QR code on the door of the storage locker, you get a free Moon Knight comic. Haven't read it yet, but hoping it's the first comic.
Oscar Isaac's younger brother is whom he is talking back to on the show to make it look like he is having a dialogue with himself. He talked about it in an interview.
Steven's loneliness is nearly palpable. The way OI depicts his sadness, it's universally understood: If you've ever known it, you immediately recognize it in his eyes. Gah. He's too damn good.
I feel steven so hard.
@rolan his*
Damn I didn't even know he's her wife. Was that even from the comics?
@B Ella69 Darlin, I'm 45 and giving up my dance card. I'm too damn tired to deal with that scene.
Absolutely. Well said.
Steven’s little Mr. Knight eyes being all squinty and happy when he realized he landed the punch was the most adorable thing, protect him at all costs.
I really love seeing Steven have moral arguments with Harrow and calling out Marc for his treatment of Layla. He's turning into a plucky goofball!
Steven is practically this world's version of steve rodgers he has a big heart
Dude, dont call him plucky, alright, he doesnt know what it means
Steven is clearly going to be the moral center of Moon Knight, with Marc being the less moral guy willing to go the extra step when they need to. I suspect Jake (the third personality we were only given the slightest hints to) is less moral than either of them but he's more coniving and intellegent and while he's absolutely willing to let people die he doesn't like doing it himself.

Like the Guardians of the Galaxy and Luke Cage were little known outside their loyal fans, he's a character that deserves to be better known just for being so awesome.
Swear I’ve seen this exact comment word for word on other videos, wonder who said it first
@Kat V stats dont lie bruv
@glocktop91 well all I know is I've been a Moon Knight fan since the 1980s and I have met few people in the past 30 plus years who know who he is. @glocktop91 Care to cite your sources on that claim?
"float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, it's Steven with a v" so adorable. Loved your reaction.
@clubber lang Best username evar! I do not pity you! 😁
I need that quote on a t-shirt immediately. I loled for a solid 2 minutes.
it's supposed to end with " your hands cant hit what your eyes don't see" which is funny since he is the only one who can see the jackal 😮💨
I wonder now if that was Steven. If there's a third alter, that might be Marc in the mirror and Jake is forward in the scene.
How do you think Marc feels in there?
18:24 "Not psycho Colonel Sanders." killed me and I knew it would kill Jay too
Queen81Wilson I think it’s weird to say such horrible things anyway.
It didn't kill anyone... why would you say that?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
"A lot of people's moms really like this show". That's the Oscar Isaac effect.
That’s hilarious because my mom is not a fan of this show lmao
@griffonwing I’m not a middle aged mom but he was damn fine in the 90s lol
Moms are also same age as Ethan, and he was young heartthrob in the 90s
Oscar Isaac: "I am aware of the effect I have on women"
"Not a cult. Not a cult at all." Had me rolling. God Oscar is good in this role.
Kevin Feige has a solid track record. I’d give him a chance.
He is also Executive producer.
He convinced himself, they gave him a script and he said yes.
I noticed that when Ethan's character took the scarab from the follower, he never judged him with the scales, he just killed him for no apparent reason than touching the scarab.
He did have his sleeve rolled up though.
Yea it seemed like the moment where they needed to reinforce that he’s the villain just in case his justifications were fooling the audience. He clearly doesn’t actually value human life or justice, it’s just window dressing to indoctrinate his followers
@Cogitator Cat Theatricality and deception are powerful agents for the uninitiated.
The Scales are theatre for the followers.
@Dirty School Clothes huh weird that i neer noticed
@Quasi He was the one killing people, and he shows up at the very end of season finale
@Dirty School Clothes i wasnt aware there even was a third
@Quasi The 3rd personality
Where who the fuck is Jake
You could go frame by frame for most of that chase sequence all the way through him catching the Moon Blade back and it's just like "That's a poster. That's a poster. That's a wallpaper. That's a poster." and I absolutely loved how multiple parts of that sequence felt like comic book panels.

I'm starting to wonder if he'll even show up, the 3 Oscar imagery might just be eluding to Marc, Steven, and Khonshu
Makes me really curious about how the two of them will react when the personality of Jake (the one who asked the woman out on a date) appears.
absolutely agree about the scenes between Steven and Marc being the most compelling - Oscar Isaac is KILLING IT.
Odd how Adam's mom knows so much about ancient Egypt. Was Adam's MOM a Fist of Khonshu A Fist of Vengeance? A MOON KNIGHT?!! 😱👍🤣
@pReview'd Does this mean Adam is Son of Moon Knight and inherited "a fraction of her power". Also does that mean that Khonshu is Adam's Moon Godfather? 🤔👍🤣
Check her wrists dude. There might be a tattoo.
I’ll never tell.
Mmmm, vengeance
The rooftop chase scene was just... perfection. Pure comic book panels throughout that whole sequence, ending with the hero shot of him reaching up to the sky to catch his moon dart below the crescent moon. Some of the best, most iconic images in recent Marvel projects. (That shot of Khonshu crouching on the rooftop overlooking the vegan foot clan was up there too.)
Loved how they handled Mr. Knight. Loved the deep conversations with Marc v. Steven and Steven v. Arthur.
Really excited for what I assume will be an action-adventure turn in Egypt.
THAT PART WHEN THEY FREEZE-FRAME HIS SHOCKED EXPRESSION🤣 It's the first time in MCU...
Fun fact
When Oscar was acting against himself in reflection,
his brother was acting as Steven or Marc so Oscar had someone to act against.
I had a storage locker. Those lights and those sounds are 100% correct, and it is creepy as F.
I guess that means with the Steven/Mark, brains-and-brawn dynamic, we have a hero who can be his own “guy in the chair”.
@Jean-Félix Piché He’s the getaway driver
@Ant-Man Jake's the wheel guy.
Jake: So what's my designation?
Got my wife to watch Episode 1 of Halo and she said “I’ll watch episode 2 if we can watch Adam and Jay’s reaction.” I’m so excited to watch that. And FYI you two have helped me get the wife involved in “my” shows! 👍🏼
Your reaction going from horror to omg this is so cool in the span of a few seconds when Steven fell then got the suit is my new favourite thing
In the first episode one of the guards mentions to Harrow that they were attacked at a deal, so he probably never had the scarab and was just about to get it off of someone but then Marc stopped it
I'M SO EXCITED FOR JAY, he's FINALLY going to see why LUCIFER is a REALLY FUN SHOW. I HOPE the reaction will be on You Tube.
At some point I think Marc will need to reconcile that Steven only came into being (I assume) because of the trauma he's gone through. I think you're right about them needing to become "friends", aka not Marc trying to suppress Steven, his trauma. Hope I made sense.
The suit is called mr knight and he is the more detective side of moon knight in the comics
This show is so good. Definitely becoming my favorite Disney + show yet
In every reaction I've watched, that freeze frame at 9:51 never fails to make the reactors laugh. It's so good! XD
The suit effects mid transformation are so good 🙌
I've never made a better decision in life than turning on notifications for this channel😂
The idea of killing people before they do evil was basically Hydra's plan in Captain America - The Winter Soldier
@Husky Thor correct
Nick Fury : These new long range precision guns can eliminate a thousand hostiles a minute. The satellites can read a terrorist's DNA before he steps outside his spider hole. We're gonna neutralize a lot of threats before they even happen.
Steve Rogers : I thought the punishment usually came *after* the crime.
Nick Fury : We can't afford to wait that long.
tbh on second though its actually more like what Shields plan was haha wasn't Project Insight to knock off threats before they become threats?
More like the opposite. This guy is killing people who might do evil in the future. While in Winter Soldier, Hydra's plan was to get kill anyone who is and who would become a threat to them.
Yeah but some bad to Hydra, not the world, and as the other said, the TVA also did the same.
@B Ella69 I think it’s that she was going to be a hero since she was playing Valcaures before the TVA showed up.
I've wondered if the living statue could be Ra Lord of the gods and the Ennead. The golden skin that Ra has when he's in human form and he shines bright like a Sun god. the living statue is credited as being crawley at the end of the show; in the comics, crawley was a homeless man that befriended jake lockley (one of marc's other alters) and helped him keep tabs on what was going on in the streets.
i've seen enough tv to know that all things could have a purpose beyond their obvious role - in this case, giving steven a vehicle to exposit.. but, dammit, i completely missed this choice! **curtsies low with respect** i f*cks wid it (as the kids say these days)
Been waiting for you guys! The only reaction on the internet that matters for me! Thanks for all you do!
The f bomb definitely isn't in the subtitles. 😭 But I sure didn't hear it either. 🤷♀️
We need Moon Knight and Mr. Knight subtitles for the guys in the intro!
That is an awesome idea! XD
Excellent idea!
I have to say, I'm in love with this show's music. The last scene in Egypt just gave me chills.
Is it just me or is “Steven Grant of the Gift Shop” becoming the new “Mr. Anderson”?
It did have a bit of that, yeah.
Otherwise
KHonshu is going to take Layla.
@meow The one people pointed out from day one, that they've yet to fix, is that they still have _Thor: The Dark World_ before _Iron Man 3_
In IM3 it's mentioned to be the same year as the Chitauri Invasion (2012) and it's Christmas week, so IM3 is December 2012.
So good!
FUN FACT:
When Steven Grant aka Mr. Knight and Marc Spector aka Moon Knight are in scenes together Oscar Isaac Hernandez Estrada is acting against his real life brother, Michael Benjamin Hernandez during them, well he switches between roles.
The whole time during both episodes with the mirrors is just as good as William Dafoe in Spiderman. I can't even. The show is so good.
“It’s like if the foot clan was vegan.”
Jay is always funny, but this line made me chuckle longer than normal 😂
The Mummy really did traumatize my generation. It’s hilarious
If you didn’t do it the first time, go back and watch the end credits. The song they used is killer. It fits so well going into an episode in Egypt.
In the trailers, the cape actually has a purpose. It's not just super-cool, it seems to repel bullets.
It has a purpose in the comics too. It lets Moon Knight glide on air currents.
Directors of this episode will do Loki season 2, so it's looking good!
This show has, somehow, successfully given so much in only 2 episodes, while feeling less episodic and more cinematic at the same time. This might end up being the best MCU TV series by the time this show is over
Oscar Isaac is killing it. Ethan Hawke is chilling. This is such a good show.
its such a clever execution ...plotwise kinda streamlined but there might be some plot twists we can't predict yet...looks awesome...its what i want with a spawn movie...the frames are straight out a comics...beautiful...grabbing his throwing sickle...sick 🙂 the conversation he has towards the end cracking the mirrors is something i wanna see with the hulk and banner
3:55 And now the phrase "flick the mystery bean" is running through my head and making me giggle like an idiot.
pleasantly surprised at how good and fun moon knight is.
This is going to be a wild series!
@Sarah Landry It is already, but man I can't wait to see how they work this character in!
Going to be??
Oscar Isaac pulling that Ryan George shit!
IT'S A THING BECAUSE I DECIDED
pulling a Ryan George is TIGHT
Khonshu: hi there hello, it's me I'm the Ad-stronaut.
@Ignacio Alvarez BARELY an inconvenience!
I hate how charismatic Arthur is. When he was talking with Steven while walking down the street I was like yes, may I join this cult?
Marvel has been absolutely killing it with the grey characters lately. And I love how there were a few shots where it looked like Steven was actually making Arthur question his beliefs
“Enjoy the Shadow Realm” I’ve been watching Yu-Gi-Oh again lately so all these references are 👌🏻 I’m watching all the ancient Egyptian content
This episode was just dope 🔥😍💯 10/10
"If the foot clan was vegan" made me snort soda through my nose! 😆
all i could think during steven's conversation about ammut, was that she sounds an awful lot like the tva's judgement of variants' "time crimes". we know kang has an egyptian pharaoh variant in the comics (i believe tied into the x-men villain apocalypse somehow), so this makes me curious if moon knight is more tied in to the main plot of phase 4 than we think. this could be how we get mutants introduced.
that would be wild seeing oscar play moon knight and apocalypse in the same scene haha
I went into this one totally blind and I'm so glad I did. Know nothing about the Moon Knight story so this one is fun
Only thing, I wish they hadn't had anyone other than Steven interact with the jackal. I'd love it if they kept it ambiguous as to if it really existed for as long as possible - the being thrown around by an invisible demon thing was cool but I could've lived without it for an episode just to really play on the possibility that all of this is still psychocsis
khonshu is the god of negging fr. you really get a sense for how both marc and steven are trapped in this situation. also i wonder if they're setting up mr knight to be steven's superhero identity and moon knight to be marc's. it's a departure from the comics, but i would kind of like it.
this is gonna be the best marvel series to date
If you like amazing actors playing flawlessly against themselves, boy do I have a show for y’all to watch before She Hulk…
Notice how Harrow didn’t bother judging that man with the scarab. He took it and went straight to killing him.
That right there shows that Harrow is not the good guy he thinks he is.
Loved the end credits and the appropriate music selection hope it continues
14:42 Dude, if you ever pull that lair off, let me know. I was so fascinated by that part when I first saw that movie.
Amazing reaction to Moon Knight aside. I'm so excited for Lucifer. One of my favourite shows for sure
This ep was so so good!
“If the Foot Clan were vegan.” Funniest thing I’ve heard all year! 😂🤣😂🤤🤣
"You won't like me when I'm...kinda sad"
"Welcome to the MCU!"
What should have followed is a "The Incredible Skulk" joke. Missed opportunity! 😂
Isn't Jay already a Lord? He'd fit right in on Bridgerton.
