This is a "Scripted Mock Test of Speaking" to give students a better idea of what a band 9 of speaking looks like. (Her real band score was 7 but she had the potential to get a higher band score. This is why we gave her the script to memorize it).
@Hoang Ngo using idioms is not enough to demonstrate language competence. Often non native speakers use them incorrectly, or in a way that just sounds really awkward (even if it's not inappropriate to use the respective idioms in a particular situation). What's even worse is when people use too many idioms, in order to prove their 'ability'. It sounds extremely unnatural. Native speakers would not express themselves in such a way. The same goes for any language... Not just English.
@Otabek Urazniyazov Hi Otabek! I don't mean to minimise her achievement, it's just that her IELTS band gives viewers the false impression that she is speaking English perfectly (when, in actual fact, her part of the dialogue is riddled with errors). I'm surprised that the assessor gave her such glowing feedback! Perhaps this is so because she speaks well in comparison to the majority of other people taking the exam... Nevertheless, this does not mean she speaks well in comparison to (well-educated) native speakers. Anyway, if you want examples of 'good' English, I would suggest watching documentaries... Especially BBC documentaries (but bear in mind that only the narrator is guaranteed to speak English well)... or listen to podcasts etc.
@Lisa Pisa thank you for the comment and breaking cognitive biases, could you please, show me an example of how good english sounds like (video link of your example, please). Thank You!
She speaks very well and the examiner is excellent and very kind. She said she is frustrated because of the low wage in her profession. I do agree that teacher should be paid and valued much more, all around the world. Let's be honest here: if you want to attract and retain the more talented people, you have to pay them very well. And believe me, it's worth it, because teachers and professors are the ones who train and raise further generations.
Yes but that's like swimming, if you have the chance to have practiced it at a very young age, for instance before reaching puberty, you'll be much better than anyone else without a lot of efforts. Meanwhile, we, old adults, are struggling haha (I am 25 by the way). I should have learned english much earlier, now I have to practice a lot and to watch a huge amount of youtube videos in order to maintain a decent level.
He just asks the questions on the paper and not listens. He just looks the grammatical ways but at the end he gives comments about the test. That's actually the goal of these tests.
She speaks very well and the examiner is excellent and very kind. She said she is frustrated because of the low wage in her profession. I do agree that teacher should be paid and valued much more, all around the world. Let's be honest here: if you want to attract and retain the more talented people, you have to pay them very well. Same, and I would like to be able to practice with someone else but unfortunately I live surrounded by people who speak my native language (Spanish) most of the time, I have tried some tools like Busuu or Elsa speech which are mobile applications but I feel it's not same as speaking naturally with other people.
I watched this video several times before my IELTS speaking test and luckily I got the chance to use some of her words and phrases and finally got 7 band score😍❤thank you very much for your useful contents.I really appreciate that❤
@Intensive advanced math you have a point :D I especially noticed it in part two . What else i'd like to point out that she was being nervous a little bit despite the fact everyone says that she was pretty confident
It is crystal clear that she is a professional English teacher or a person who graduated from a top-ranked university or college in English; as far as she is extraordinary dominant at her speaking by using perfect vocabulary she applied during her interview. wishing her all the best
@Ross IELTS Academy how can I get previous past questions on all the four section my exam is on the 20th of august which is this month I hope I get a response thank you.
The moral of the story: i can speak perfectly fine English when no one is sitting in front me looking at a paper and listening like a squirrel to give me degrees based on what mistakes i do. I am sure this lady can speak a beautiful fluent English when not under all these restrains.
Thankfully it's the opposite for me, when someone is looking, my brain goes into bersek mode giving off all of its energy, meanwhile it's just slacking whenever I'm alone.
She's marvelous, I noticed that she was a little nervous in the beginning so that there was a tremor in her voice but then she held her self and passed the exam in a very good way.
All of you who feel nervous more than her you have desire and motivated to pass IELTS successfully with high score like me , this video make me more motivation, so I'm going to study hard and back after one year tell you about my score ❤️🙏👍 Keep growing and keep learning see you in work ❤️
As it is said in description its a demonstrative class to give people ideas about IELTS exam...Obviously she would be confident and courageous because she is experienced and well trained
Thanks for sharing this! I watched this few days to my exam & got an 8.5 in speaking! With this, I realized that you don't need too many complex or fancy vocab and sentences to have a good score! ❤️
Well she has such a wide and an impressive vocabulary range and she is also really relaxed and speaks confidently, like I hope that I’ll speak fluently as she does one day I mean I felt like the examiner was the one who’s nervous I mean I was nervous myself watching the video 😂💔 Anyway I wish everyone success inshaallah
Her vocabulary is wide and impressive, her sentence construction very organized and amazing, and the accent really sounds like she grew up in the US. She deserved a band 9!!! Congratulations!
To be honest. Nobody uses this level of vocabulary on the daily basis in English speaking countries. They just use their language to communicate with each other not to impress with their vocabulary knowledge. As long as you can clearly mention your point, you are good 😎
that's true but if you're looking for an advanced level you need to know how to speak with that complexity, even if people aren't used to speaking like that.
To be honest with you guys this lady really has a Knack for learning foreign languages. I m amaze about the way she speaks so confidently and she feells totally at ease. Great job.
I was able to get new vocabulary from this video. And I really like her voice and pronunciation the way how she speaks fluently. Thank you for your effort to make useful IELTS related videos. I really appreciate)
I love the way she speaks so clearly She gestures, she seems very natural and confident while she was speaking. She is such an example of a good examiner. She's inspiring me a lot
She is the best non-native english speakers l'v ever seen. Her using correctly of wide range of vocabulary, idoms, grammer suprises me dramatically. also, she copes with all questions in the best possible way.
Watching videos like this is good ..it can help us to enhance English more and more .... Thanks for making video like this helps us to improve our English and make us feel comfortable that English is not so tough as we think it depends upon listening and then speak in the same way ...
Her vocabulary is wide and impressive, sentence construction is very organize and amazing, and the accent really sounds like she grew up in the US. She deserved a band 9!!! Congratulations! 👏👏👏
Not really. She made many errors in sentence construction. Her vocab is at best a high intermediate. Many ppl have mistaken her fluency for proficiency. Native speakers won’t use some of the expressions she’d used. There are too many list but one example would be: She said--’’ Recently, we can easily see that ppl are celebrating celebrations that aren’t part of their culture.’’ It should have been ‘Ppl nowadays are celebrating events that aren’t part of their culture’.
Honestly, I can't find words to describe her confidence when she is speaking.she is a wonderful ,I hope one day to reach the same level that she are having .god bless you.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The secret key to pass this part is being relaxed, If you are anxious you will fail like baby... Stop being nervous and relax your mind and muscles just LET GO like u have already failed, And u will get a great score
I'm impressed by her fluency she was talking confidently using lots of idioms just as native speakers do. her English is remarkable😮 I really wanna become fluent like her. I'll do whatever it takes to get there.😐
She speaks a very good english. And the examiner also seems positive. Candidates will have less pressure and feel less nervous if all examiners are like him.
Watching many such video I admitted that almost all examiners are friendly looking and positively in tune for conversation. It really helps to feel more confident. My IELTS speaking examiner was also very nice 👍
She speaks very well. She said she is frustrated because of the low wage in her profession. I do agree that teacher should be paid and valued much more, all around the world. Just right. Her pronunciation is very good. Very impressive. Better than million English people. More practice in the future she will learn to express herself far better.
Apart from owning a good knowledge of the language and being in control of vocabulary and grammatical usage while speaking, it’s necessary to have good information related to the topic.
She has pretty much confidence in her speaking. The way she speaks is as like as native speakers do. I really appreciate her and i feel like speaking as her. I reckon only practicing makes man perfect and it should be in a perfect way.
The most intelligent examiner and the best student I have ever seen. She is perfect! She is more intelligent than the examiner I watched before. 🙌🙌🙌 You are great!
She was perfect. What I like most is her confidence. Tips to gain a high grade 1. Be confident 2. Be natural 3. Avoid using weird vocabulary 4. Use famous idioms as much as you can 5. Be acurate in giving details about a date or an event. 6. Be clear, watch out your grammar.
I am also going to give my Exams for Ielts in February and hopefully i will get good bands in each module. Love to watch videos to increase my knowledge.
I'm thankful to almighty that I found this video. I got some more confidence on my listening and also I got a bit authentic iead about speaking test.♥️♥️ Love it.
I am impressed that she speaks well despite not frm English speaking countries. She uses idioms which it flows freely which impressed the interviewer the most and the listener like me . Since she works as a English teacher, I have no doubt that she won’t speak well . As she scores band 9 frm speaking , I am pretty sure that she might have gotten the same band frm writing as well . God bless to those who are having IELTS exams and practice is the key to success. You all have my prayers and love to know that you also did the same like her and many other friends.
She has impressive voice with calm behavior. Meanwhile the examiner is so polite with his facial expressions. The smile after every question is the energy and confidence booster for candidate. Thanks a lot for this video. I really appreciate.
If this is a real test video, the candidate is very well practiced and prepared. I like the tone of language the has spoken very natural and wide range of ideas were said
Thank you sir because of your videos and your right guidance really help me to achieve overall 6.5 your words really encourage and motivate me .thank you for everything really appreciate ❤️❤️❤️💐❤️💐❤️💐
Fantastic! She's fluent and so confident in every aspect, also kudos to the examiner he was Motivating. I really liked his tips and suggestions in the end.
@Ahmad Suleiman please guide me .I am a student of m Phil economics and after watching this video i want to to do ielts test.but where I can take start ?
Absolutely awesome! This woman has done a great performance. Her English is so fluent and she looks so confident that she makes everything fall into place! She definitely nailed it. I wish I could speak this way and get feedback from the examiner, like her one day.
How can she did it so smooth and like the guy said, very spotted on!😭 I can feel her nervousness through what she spoke but I’m very amazed where she was fully confident along three parts of speaking test👍🏻😩 I wished I can manage myself to speak exactly like her because soon I’ll have a final exam of speaking test before end of my high school🥺 thank you so much for the video and she inspires me so I’ll try my best to practice day by day(even I’m not at good band for time-being😣) Secondly, I loves reading and speaking in English language in a person but not in front of people😭 so it suddenly increased my level of nervousness and need to speak directly that fits of the topic given or I’ll obviously turn as a rock though😌 To be honest, I really loves English once I used to chat or write continuously so it became ordinary. Just need to fix more from my basic which are grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and so on😅 one day, insyaallah❤️

There is no point in watching memorized scripted IELTS speaking tests.
It's all about practice. English is not an alien language. The more you speak listen and read, the more you are good and confident.
thank you, what your saying inspired me.

Agree with this but sometimes it's kind of hard under certain conditions
I like the examiner. He seems so kind and gentle!
He was actually sitting as she was
He was just professional.
Yes!
He just asks the questions on the paper and not listens. He just looks the grammatical ways but at the end he gives comments about the test. That's actually the goal of these tests.
Me too
She is very talented, fluent and admirable, she has a perfect charisma and her confidence is real♥
Persian ppl are smart and confident! But to me she is 8.5 and not 9 !

She speaks absolutely perfect 👌 and her confidence is admirable.
This is far from perfect... how can you think this.
@Thorsten Marquardt and how do you think normal participants get a 9?
We can see clearly that she is so confused.
Is she Wirda Mansour?
No, she doesn’t. This is not how a normal participant would ever get a 9.
This lady deserves more than band 9. She was very comfortable with all her questions
@Intensive advanced math you have a point :D I especially noticed it in part two . What else i'd like to point out that she was being nervous a little bit despite the fact everyone says that she was pretty confident
@Intensive advanced math end? It's normal. You learned from old exams (questions, story, conversations etc.).

Glad it was helpful!

What a confident woman! Love the way she expresses her ideas so fluently!!
Her vocabulary is wide and impressive, her sentence construction very organized and amazing, and the accent really sounds like she grew up in the US. She deserved a band 9!!! Congratulations!
@MissArtLover why grammatical errors ? then... What's the difference between grammar mistakes and grammatical errors??
@Kenzo Ken her English was cringe sorry!!
yall keep arguing about how she didn’t deserve band 9, well, losers… at least she got band 9 and the one who assessed her English was a professional.
She better speaking Americans 😂
lmfao her accent is not American at all
Nice session.
The confidence appears in her talking and the examiner is very cooperative
Definitely
While answering the questions, he did not stop for a moment to think about what to say. Absolutely impressive. ✅
She is an inspiration for me, I want to get to this level someday.
Me too
She has a brilliant pronunciation and she is very confident
To be honest. Nobody uses this level of vocabulary on the daily basis in English speaking countries. They just use their language to communicate with each other not to impress with their vocabulary knowledge. As long as you can clearly mention your point, you are good 😎
@Tasneem sure
But in academic areas you should have that level.
Oh yes you are right 😊
that's true but if you're looking for an advanced level you need to know how to speak with that complexity, even if people aren't used to speaking like that.
Enjoyable speech !!!As her pronunciation is totally awesome🌸🌸Examiner is polite and supportive 👌
Wow, she did well. I hope to do the IELTS one day and prefer to get great result like her.
Can you tell me what type of test is this and why people do this and kinda explain me about it??

@ABC which one cue card is this
Not really. She made many errors in sentence construction. Her vocab is at best a high intermediate. Many ppl have mistaken her fluency for proficiency.
Native speakers won’t use some of the expressions she’d used. There are too many list but one example would be:
She said--’’ Recently, we can easily see that ppl are celebrating celebrations that aren’t part of their culture.’’
It should have been ‘Ppl nowadays are celebrating events that aren’t part of their culture’.
No she sounds foreign - not American. But she speaks good English.
She doesn't sound American to me but for sure, she speaks good English :)
Her accent is not an American. I guess she grew up in Canada.
Having an examinator like this guy, I think all of us will easily pass the exam.
I love how most of these comments perfectly sum up her vocabulary. Truly distinctive and coherent.
A great event, very important for beginners❤thank you very much🙏
Always welcome
Honestly, I can't find words to describe her confidence when she is speaking.she is a wonderful ,I hope one day to reach the same level that she are having .god bless you.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hello, how are your speaking moving on?
@Fatih Demir how is it shameful or disgusting? She's just giving her best in a speaking test. The examiner didn't even complained, then why would you?
@Fatih Demir "sour grapes"
@_ kıskanç yada başka bir karın ağrısı var. Normal IQ su olan biri direkt anlayabilir 🤣🤣

You’re so right, even speaking with my mother language I might hesitate to answer some questions
Are you her boyfriend? Omg
It would be great if we can get subtitles that she spoke so we can learn how she described her thoughts
Please turn on the CC option on the screen to see the subtitles
She has pretty much confidence in her speaking. The way she speaks is as like as native speakers do. I really appreciate her and i feel like speaking as her. I reckon only practicing makes man perfect and it should be in a perfect way.
The most intelligent examiner and the best student I have ever seen. She is perfect! She is more intelligent than the examiner I watched before. 🙌🙌🙌 You are great!
That’s definitely impressive! Especially the contents she narrated!

2. Be natural
3. Avoid using weird vocabulary
4. Use famous idioms as much as you can
5. Be acurate in giving details about a date or an event.
6. Be clear, watch out your grammar.
@Scabbed Wings may be using phrasal verb in a bad way or with unfit particular word afterwards
For god sake how can I know if it’s a weird vocabulary or not
This is a nice test. Guide us on how to speak good English with great grammar and vocabulary.👍👍👍

When she says , ' it's a good question ' you know she is owning this interview.
She, obviously, deserves this high score ..👏🤩😇
She has impressive voice with calm behavior. Meanwhile the examiner is so polite with his facial expressions. The smile after every question is the energy and confidence booster for candidate. Thanks a lot for this video. I really appreciate.
If this is a real test video, the candidate is very well practiced and prepared. I like the tone of language the has spoken very natural and wide range of ideas were said

The speaking power of the Lady is very good and she deserve the more 10/10
I thought it was all about big vocabularies but i hear simple terms well pronounced. Her composure is everything.
Very true
👏👏👏👏👏 she is doing it much better than what I thought like it's her native language, obviously I like this i hope to be like her one day
Absolutely awesome! This woman has done a great performance. Her English is so fluent and she looks so confident that she makes everything fall into place! She definitely nailed it. I wish I could speak this way and get feedback from the examiner, like her one day.
How can she did it so smooth and like the guy said, very spotted on!😭 I can feel her nervousness through what she spoke but I’m very amazed where she was fully confident along three parts of speaking test👍🏻😩 I wished I can manage myself to speak exactly like her because soon I’ll have a final exam of speaking test before end of my high school🥺 thank you so much for the video and she inspires me so I’ll try my best to practice day by day(even I’m not at good band for time-being😣)
Secondly, I loves reading and speaking in English language in a person but not in front of people😭 so it suddenly increased my level of nervousness and need to speak directly that fits of the topic given or I’ll obviously turn as a rock though😌 To be honest, I really loves English once I used to chat or write continuously so it became ordinary. Just need to fix more from my basic which are grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and so on😅 one day, insyaallah❤️
She was outstanding , straight away .
Very nice and clear the way she speaks! Thanks for sharing☺
You're knowledgeable, I mean, I can't stop to describe you in all aspects. Wow
Wow, like a native speaker, i wish we will also get band 9

I wish I would sitting in front of the examiner and got all of that compliments too. She's amazing!
