Another amazing build by dad! We are so proud of him, dad recently past his journeyman Smith performance test, now he will be testing at BLADESHOW this June to find out if he is worthy of the JS stamp (he totally is imo.) -Josh

Totally blown away at the attention to detail, skill and artistry involved in the making of the blade. Being such a beautiful and intricate creation, I was left wishing we had a bit more than the 60 seconds given to admire the finished piece, especially after the journey of the build. The final result was truly stunning!

The mythical ability of a blacksmith isn't just the ability to create a piece of art. It is the ability to recreate this piece of art down to a tee. And yet... it stays mythical for it always being a one of a kind knife of which none other exists quite like this. Even if built the same way, the pattern is always a new sight to behold. Love it so much, you have no idea how much I'd love owning one of those just to have it on display.

What a beautiful knife, you can tell that the time it took you to make this, by looking at the attention to detail and quality of the finish and forging.
The talent in this family... it's incredible and everyone who owns a Royer knife, holds a work of art in their possession.
What i also love here is the reversed dynamic of a wonderful dad following in his son's footsteps, instead of son following dad's footsteps (nothing wrong with that tho!).
And looking beyond that, it's pretty clear to me that this is a loving and tight family who are proud of each other and stand together as one.
Congrats to your dad for passing his journeyman test, and i am certain he is well on his way to earn that MS badge too.

That is a wickedly beautiful pattern, the trigger guard is a nice touch. Kind of makes this knife a subsist, with the added benefit of being able to spin the blade much like a SAA Revolver. Though it might take some practice. Incredible blade.

Impressive build to say the least. The pattern Damascus pops. The trigger and finger guard process was incredible to watch. The file work on the spacers is top notch and was my favorite to watch. The stippling on the handle is really, really good and I'm not a fan of stippling. Great build Dad.

One of the coolest ideas for a knife i have evr seen in my 51 years i love how you have incorporated the ventalated barrel at the top of the blade down to the finish on the handle just like the stock on a beautiful shotgun . The piece is stunning and every aspect of that knife is pure perfection , i dont know how you parted with it as a piece of you must of left with it to the customer! i love this channel and enjoying every second of your videos, you guys are masters of your art but even that doesnt sound like praise enough your work commands . Hey thanks PLE. Funny story about the vented rib. Kyle is very hard to keep up with. He stretches me frequently. Good times my friend

Having a similar background in welding as me.
It's a massive benefit in forge welding damascus, you can easily spot trouble before it arises.
    Great knife Jeff 👍

I've spent a lot of time over the past few years watching people make things on KZclip. This is the best. You are an amazing artist!

Browning shotgun inspiration visible for the first moment! It was huge amount of work but totally worth the effort- Knife looks beautiful knife Sir! Two part guard and guard inlay on the handle looks spectacular!
If I may suggest something: brass screw looks insanely good with this blued guard, but it doesn't match to the brass spacers- in my opinion it's too bright. It would be much more consistent with the rest of the handle if you cold blued it just a little. Of course this is just my personal opinion.
