I absolutely love this channel. Why? Because it still is what it was a decade ago. Two guys filming themselves doing stuff in slow motion. Doesn't get more genuine than this.
And also not making their videos 2 hours long to farm ad breaks has got to be worth a huge shout out. Slow motion guys will still be here when a lot of the bigger KZclip channels have died after driving all their viewers away.
"Let's just move the pool table over here" *Snap cut of them standing in between the table and the canon with MAYBE 3 meters in between* "Yeah, that is a lot closer" was very topgear-esque and it really tickled me
I can't believe more people aren't talking about the absolute Chad of a dragonfly at 6:29 that flew face first into the shockwave of a pool ball going half the speed of sound and then just carried on about his day. "Jaysus, that was loud. Anyway, y'all seen any tasty skeeters 'round here?"
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalm 50:15 ✝🌅 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain: So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat. Job 33:18-20 ✝🌅

12:20 is the break. Around twenty years ago I was playing pool at a friend’s house, in his basement. On my second break of the night, the cue flew up in the air several feet and split in half, almost dead middle. The top half flew past my friend’s head and the bottom half hovered in the air for a split second. It landed on the middle of the table and spun, just like a top, for what seemed like a minute but was at least 20 seconds or more. I’ve been playing pool for over 40 years and have never seen anything like that before and haven’t since. He doesn’t have that table anymore but the cue ball is still down there on his shelf.
Playing a tie-breaker in a tournament many moons ago, my opponent broke, after striking the 1-ball, the cueball went straight up, shattered the stained glass light above the table, came down and landed on the 8-ball (which had pretty much stayed stationary until then) and, despite the debris that was falling on the table, sank it in the side pocket. I conceded the game and yelled, "Cleanup, table seven!" 😏
the second long range attempt really kicked me in the gut when the cue ball was pulling the gigachad magnus effect and flew away from the earth in a curve line
You guys are just...Boom, everything is just done marvelously. I love watching how things go blownup and get into hundreds and thousands of pieces scattered everywhere I'm much obsessed with your content
Change the timestamp to 10:58 and I think your comment would do much better and be a better experience. You have to wait like 16 seconds before you actually see what you are talking about.
Repent to Jesus Christ “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”” John 14:21 NIV T
OMG.... By far the coolest thing I have ever seen. Great job... I am freaking blown away. I subscribed and can't wait to go back and check out your other videos. Wow, just wow... You both must LOVE your job....
The fact that the table was knackered, but he was still able to put backspin on the cue ball to sink the 8 was when I truly laughed. Good episode, fellas!
Guys, I just love your content and the spontaneous "curveballs" you throw in. It's really like you we're born to do this. Also I waited for the annihilating cue from Dan, and almost fell from the couch seeing it at the end. Well done 🤣
Hey slo mo guys, have you ever thought about filming a tensile test in slow motion? Another of what I do revolves around fracture surfaces and I think it would be awesome to see.
Splendid idea! I'd love to see that in really sloooooow motion. So far, a year ago we made the film on the Charpy impact test, but this was the first attempt. It was just to show the difference in behaviour of steel after cold rolling and after quenching and tempering. Perhaps the frame rate wasn't sufficient to show the tiny details, but still it is interesting to watch it. It's somewhere in the abyss of YT.
I've been watching the Slow Mo Guys for many MANY years, and each time one gets recommended to me, I'm still blown away, like I'm watching them for the first time again!! (I'm also reminded of the giant crush I had/have on Dan too lol) I legitimately have not seen a video where I wasn't impressed or entertained, and this one is no exception! And that edit at the end was insanely epic!
Thanks for this fella's, great idea and very entertaining and what a great location. Seeing the still of the semi shattered cue ball dragged me in to watch.
What a wonderful idea this video was. I don’t think scrapping the long distance shot was a bad idea, I think we’d have seen a similar result. Great video! 👍
great shot. I initially said there is NFW you'll get anywhere NEAR the table on those first shots... but that last shot where you hit is "perfect". I'll take it every day. Great job!
Wow. I honestly believe this is peak KZclip. These guys have been at it for so many years and yet they still put out instant classics like this one. There's just something about seeing the power of physics in slow motion that gets me excited every time. Bravo
What surprised me about the impact when you scored that very nice direct hit was how little momentum reached the balls behind the first one -- which also explains why the debris from the cue ball and the egg yolk colored ball traveled so far. You're like British Mythbusters with super slow motion cameras 😉 Great video :) 🤩
Even when they started slowing down, they still held perfect pace with each other until Dan decided to walk a little further. Everyone needs a friend they're this in-tune with.
@Livaja Thank you, I shall not leave you ignorant. If you're of Christ, we pray with our hands to the heavens 🙌🏽! The world prays like this 🙏🏽. I love that even though these two have been doing these videos for so many years, we don't detect anything jaded or bored about their attitudes. They still are just so delighted by whatever the results are.
As someone that plays League pool, and likes antique cannons, this video could not be more perfect. I cannot believe how cleanly you hit that with a freaking cannon.
@bripslag I stand corrected and thanks for your reply, I wasn't saying necessarily that cannon was incorrect but my understanding was that cannon was a term born from the misheard carrom term. Cheers
@bripslag Oh yeah, that's right. Cannon does mean combo in brit bong land, doesn't it. But let's not forget that English Billiards was originally called "The Winning and Losing Carombole Game". Oi mate, can't get more bri'ish than that, innit?
@Fergie P As someone who plays league pool, I'm surprised you're not familiar with British pool (and snooker) terms. Brits call a combination shot a cannon. They also call a bank shot a "double". A carom shot is a different thing. A carom is where the cue or the object ball makes a glancing blow off another ball as it goes to the intended destination.
Awesome video as always!! I had an idea that would be neat, a close up slow look on special tools. Water jets cutting stuff, hydraulic presses reaching a breaking point and crushing stuff, arc welding metals, lots of potential cool shots :D
These two are going to be a heck of a grandpa combo. Like after a while their grandchildren will know it's a good story when it starts with "So one day Gav/Dan and I...".
Awesome - answered the time ole question of pool players everywhere - I had a mean break but, always wondeered how hard would have to hit it to any type of effect close to this... Also how much force was needed - just be inteerested. Remember the scene from James Bond where the villan crushes a pool ball in his hand... How much force needed for that ? Lol

Love the video. Its explain overall physics in much more detail, and create another level of explore and understanding. I never see and expect so much detail information in slow-motion. Waiting for more videos, Guys.
For those who didn’t find it, the editing joke I made at 13:10 can be found at 16:16. - Gav
I watch this video yesterday and just a minute ago I saw it on BBC World News.
What an amazing job to have. How fun !!!
@The Slow Mo Guys great guys
Jeff's kiss 💋
This really should be the new go to standard outro for the show
I'm honestly still a little blown away that the black ball happened to stay on the table after that.
@Caden Retzlaff 😅😅
Can you answer in more detail?
I love how you two did science and figured out Magnus on your own
@Gabrielle De Santi I think they’ve done that one, could be thinking of another channel tho
Pun intended
I absolutely love this channel. Why? Because it still is what it was a decade ago. Two guys filming themselves doing stuff in slow motion. Doesn't get more genuine than this.
just guys bein dudes
a vry simple premise that has made this channel a youtube staple: "dude, i wonder what this would look like in slow-motion"
And also not making their videos 2 hours long to farm ad breaks has got to be worth a huge shout out. Slow motion guys will still be here when a lot of the bigger KZclip channels have died after driving all their viewers away.
Props to finding new ways to do the same thing for a decade and still finding content.
yeah deffinitly one of the few survivors who sticked to their guns and just do what they love :P
10:58 they were both walking perfectly in sync
1:10 as well lmao
Ohh how did you get that🤭
"Let's just move the pool table over here" *Snap cut of them standing in between the table and the canon with MAYBE 3 meters in between* "Yeah, that is a lot closer" was very topgear-esque and it really tickled me
that's just what always happens when you put a couple of british guys together and give them a crazy idea
yes indeed... Top gear :D
Random question: are you Irish?
Hahahah ,golden comment brother
i can't stop laughing and being blown away at the same time, this is soo fascinating
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalm 50:15 ✝🌅

Truth be told, the outro with Dan doing his break looked really epic
It looks like something out of a Bollywood movie.
@oeki ew
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That shot was impeccable.

I just love that deep in Slow Mo Guys lore, Dan is a weapons expert who can hit anything with anything.
I mean he literally is. And Gavin is literally an expert with film equipment
and he dug from england all the way to vegas before retreading the tunnel back to gavins backyard
@Alex Griffith-Turtle and not much has changed except the job title
Dan actually is a demolitions expert... He served in the British Army as one.
These guys are the only KZcliprs I know that have been consistent with their content after all these years. Great stuff guys
Faze Jev lol
Bot account confirmed.
The dragonfly experiencing turbulence at 6:29 😂
Imagine being a dragonfly minding your own business and you nearly get shot out of the air by those damned monkeys up to their antics again.
In the words of Lythero/PaperBoxHouse/AlfredSnapcube, "This s--t tastes like TURBULENCE!"
Why did I think that was a bird 🤣
12:20 is the break. Around twenty years ago I was playing pool at a friend’s house, in his basement. 🐐
One of the coolest and most entertaining KZclip videos I’ve ever seen, thank you.
In all seriousness I feel pretty confident Dan is the first person in the world to sink two pool balls in the break with a cannon 😂
He almost got 3
Send to footage to Guinness
True
@oddman ha
These 2 silly best friends geeking over slow motion and physics are a huge part of my childhood I love them!!!
the second long range attempt really kicked me in the gut when the cue ball was pulling the gigachad magnus effect and flew away from the earth in a curve line
Legend has it, the cue ball is still orbiting earth.
You guys are just...Boom, everything is just done marvelously. I love watching how things go blownup and get into hundreds and thousands of pieces scattered everywhere I'm much obsessed with your content
Y’all inspire me on the daily more than I could ever portray😅
10:42 I love how they just walk simultaneously
@Chronicle ty
Change the timestamp to 10:58 and I think your comment would do much better and be a better experience. You have to wait like 16 seconds before you actually see what you are talking about.
Dan's ability to precisely hit targets with the most ridiculous arsenal is unparalleled.
@-Iceraptor- 👍👍👍
@мото - дтп - авария - Подборка на видеорегистратор thx 🙏
@-Iceraptor- 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He could have a channel (maybe shorts) dedicated strictly to that, and it would certainly be successful by itself..
First
the fact that they almost potted the 8 ball off break makes this so much better
That hit was so clean as well, Dan's aim is out of this world
That hit couldn’t have been cleaner. Great shooting, Dan.
I have came back so many times just to watch that final gag, perfectly done!
This is insane. One of your best, most fun videos yet, in my not humble opinion.
I have to say, the slow mo is obviously always cool, but whenever Dan turns on "Army mode" it's a real treat.
Repent to Jesus Christ “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.””

Agreed
@Artikae Yeah you're right, don't know what I'm on.
@Ildarioon When the ball’s moving in the barrel, something’s gotta be moving backwards. Momentum is a conserved quantity and whatnot.
You know it will be a great video when Dan has to be in control for legal reasons
What a shot ! Absolutely incredible !
OMG.... By far the coolest thing I have ever seen. Great job... I am freaking blown away. I subscribed and can't wait to go back and check out your other videos. Wow, just wow... You both must LOVE your job....
You guys totally brought a smile to my face with this one. Up there with your best I would say.
The fact that the table was knackered, but he was still able to put backspin on the cue ball to sink the 8 was when I truly laughed. Good episode, fellas!
I don't think that was backspin. I think it was the yellow ball's appendix...😲
Guys, I just love your content and the spontaneous "curveballs" you throw in. It's really like you we're born to do this. Also I waited for the annihilating cue from Dan, and almost fell from the couch seeing it at the end. Well done 🤣
This was both awesome and hilarious!
Bien
Very good
Hi
good 👍
nice
These guys are the only youtubers that ever make me feel jealous of the job they created for themselves.
Hey slo mo guys, have you ever thought about filming a tensile test in slow motion? Another of what I do revolves around fracture surfaces and I think it would be awesome to see.
@Jack Jacobson Thanks! I will look for it eagerly.
They already have a video about this. They put giant rebar in a giant scientific tension machine
That is a great idea.
It's gotta be so cool to do this! As a photographer, I love these shots!
That tiny pool table held up amazingly against a cannon.
What I love abt deze is how they’ve been doin slow mo’s for years and still tend to surprise us as well as dem selves
Gav and Dan's perfectly synced walk at 10:58 was arguably more satisfying than anything
Edit: Never mind he got two pockets
call Guinness cause i think he's the first person to get even 1 pocket with a cannon never mind 2
npc's
@HaloMusic Unfortunate
@Micah Petersen you mae
@finbob5 You two are bringing down the vibes of this comment thread
Absolutely brilliant 😂. For me this one's among the top of your shenanigans so far.
Also, the end clip deserves its seperate little video or short.
For me, the triple shockwave caused by the explosion of the cannon was the most amazing thing in this video. Great job!
What a wonderful idea this video was. I don’t think scrapping the long distance shot was a bad idea, I think we’d have seen a similar result. Great video! 👍
I love how the first shot went exactly how Gav predicted and the next shot went exactly how Dan predicted.
@soroush safarzadeh except table isn’t damaged by the ball when they’re making their predictions.
I was so happy it ended that way, I was not gonna leave until I saw it.
Why it's almost like they've done this kind of thing before
The very few times the universe grants wishes
@blue toothpaste man While I do think they made the predictions before the events, just fyi they probably had multiple tables as a just in case
This channel is incredible. Looking for HQ Slow Mo videos since KZclip is existing - now I found you. Thanks!
I'd love to see these guys use there cameras to capture vehicles with tremendous amount of bass.
The humor of this video is amazing. xD That cannon intro. The table movement. The prediction. Supreme!
great shot. I initially said there is NFW you'll get anywhere NEAR the table on those first shots... but that last shot where you hit is "perfect". I'll take it every day. Great job!
12:23 das sind ja absolut fabelhafte Aufnahmen. Danke! Wow
Wow. I honestly believe this is peak KZclip. These guys have been at it for so many years and yet they still put out instant classics like this one. There's just something about seeing the power of physics in slow motion that gets me excited every time. Bravo
@retrovideoquest Mixed with high class professionalism and legitimately wholesome fun
My thoughts exactly. It's an unbeatable combination of great footage, science and a great, laid back sense of humour
What surprised me about the impact when you scored that very nice direct hit was how little momentum reached the balls behind the first one -- which also explains why the debris from the cue ball and the egg yolk colored ball traveled so far.
You're like British Mythbusters with super slow motion cameras 😉
Great video :)
🤩
What's not to love. Pretty much anything in slow-mo is awesome!
Both shots on the table were incredible for different reasons. Brilliant!
Amazing videos. amazing duo. keep it up guys
Hello thanks for reaching out” Text above for proper consultation & mentorship’❤
Lots of trick shots out there, and this is my all time favorite! Absolutely perfect shot! Smashing results, quite a nice break too!
10:58 perfect walk synchronisation - these two been hanging out with each other for too long
At 1:08 too!
ooooooh nice catch!
Even when they started slowing down, they still held perfect pace with each other until Dan decided to walk a little further.
Everyone needs a friend they're this in-tune with.
was looking for this comment. lol
Satisfied so many curiosities of my childhood! Love you guys!
the energy in two of you is amazing . the video didnt felt boring.
That shockwave and the ball impact are so nice...
Loving this one, if you guy's ever revisit this I'm thinking metal balls.
You could actually see the shockwave in slow motion?! Nice! I saw it, too! That's cool!
Dan having the same lab coat for 10+ years is so iconic.
@Jesus Saves! At least do this on a religious video
@Jesus Saves! Thank you! I am reading The Bible but I am very grateful for the scriptures! Going to check them all out.
@Livaja Thank you, I shall not leave you ignorant. If you're of Christ, we pray with our hands to the heavens 🙌🏽! The world prays like this 🙏🏽.

@Jesus Saves! jesus ate my dinner 😢😢😢
I have missed you guys, I was going through all your material up until 2020 and then pandemic, y'all kind of vanished and life moved on. 3 years later and I found your channel again as it was recommended to me. Miss watching your videos! Glad to be back watching again, as if nothing ever happened.
You guys always entertain, while constantly being informative.
The slow mo camera is truly amazing!
I love you guys! I rarely comment but this was absolutely fantastic! Great video.
Mushrooms + the slow mo guys = WOW (to say the least)! Thanks fellas
As usual, what a pleasure to watch!
Dan's excitement for potting two balls is adorable
The wing beats of the bugs down range is such a nice touch.
This is the best game of pool I've ever seen - and you got 2 in. :)
That was epic. Nice job.
I love that even though these two have been doing these videos for so many years, we don't detect anything jaded or bored about their attitudes. They still are just so delighted by whatever the results are.
Gavin needs it more than ever right now
I will always love their backyard hijinx, but yes, years on they come off as the best of mates. I for one am envious.
Best duo on KZclip
They did forcibly have to take a long break from doing stuff together, pretty good for recharging motivation
That's why they are still giving us all of those great videos.
This one is insane ! And I have been following you for years now !
Both of you have great skill , Just keep it up. Lot's of love for you from India.
That is amazing that they were able to glue the cue ball back together and use it at the end. That must have been a fun puzzle.
This is amazing on at least 6 levels! Well done, chaps! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Destruction in slow motion is so beautiful, an artform of it's own.
As someone that plays League pool, and likes antique cannons, this video could not be more perfect. I cannot believe how cleanly you hit that with a freaking cannon.

This is maybe the geekiest comment I’ve read this week and I f-king love it 😂
Awesome video as always!! I had an idea that would be neat, a close up slow look on special tools. Water jets cutting stuff, hydraulic presses reaching a breaking point and crushing stuff, arc welding metals, lots of potential cool shots :D
A birds eye view camera would have been awesome!
i hope this channel never changes, its just perfect
This is top tier content!! Awesome video guys!!!
Love that they realized the first part of whatever they were doing... is impossible to do.
These two are going to be a heck of a grandpa combo. Like after a while their grandchildren will know it's a good story when it starts with "So one day Gav/Dan and I...".
They should do a super slow mo of their grandchildrens birth
It's even better. Gav has a brother so he's going to be a fun uncle as well.
Good thing there were not a lot of other people playing pool out there that day !
The fact that you made a cannon shot with a cannon was amazing
I cannot begin to describe how much happiness this brought to me.
Mostly because it is 100% completely unnecessary :)
I’ve watched nearly all your vids, and I must say this one takes the crown 👑.
That was jaw dropping literally 😲
Oh my gods, that cannon perspective gag was _FLAWLESSLY_ executed. Hahaha!
@Harry101UK oh
@GD Gardengap At 1:00, the forced perspective makes the cannon look huge.
@TBUK I don’t know either.
cringe Percy Jackson reference in 2022
Where?
Now I see why my parents were afraid to let me play with kids like you when I was growing up!
I cannot believe the accuracy of Gav's first prediction, or the accuracy of Dan's shots
This brings a whole new meaning to “breaking” in pool
Awesome - answered the time ole question of pool players everywhere - I had a mean break but, always wondeered how hard would have to hit it to any type of effect close to this... Also how much force was needed - just be inteerested. Remember the scene from James Bond where the villan crushes a pool ball in his hand... How much force needed for that ? Lol
Den's accuracy as always on top😀
Okay that was crazy 🤣

try to one up this one 🤣
Love the video. Its explain overall physics in much more detail, and create another level of explore and understanding. I never see and expect so much detail information in slow-motion. Waiting for more videos, Guys.
*Fantastic video as always! Cheers!* 😃👍
I loved that! Amazing! 👍
