From a Cowboys fan, Chris Godwin played his heart out. You could tell early he had some kind of shoulder/chest injury and was in significant pain. He kept going over the middle, making the catches, and taking the hits.

While I'm no Bucs fan, and I feel they deserved to lose, Chris Godwin did a man's work for Tampa. Whatever injury he picked up during the game, he fought and fought. Hopefully he's able to keep his head up, he was a bright spot on that team yesterday.

Having vander esch back is an addition Dallas needed back. Almost had 2 pick, reading coverages well. If Dallas defense can be be physical with the niners they can win

I was in utter shock and disbelief watching that game last night. For the first time in really what's been a long time, the Cowboys looked like a well oiled machine. Dak was making some pretty good throws, and Dalton Schultz made two really good grabs himself. The run game was what it has always been with Tony Pollard, and that defense was as stingy as you've ever seen it. Mich Parsons was INSANE last night.

    • J Brown

@Big Sheed Stop the hype! How am I calling them tough competition? Their 12-5 record thats how. That would make us SF's second toughest opp they faced ALL YEAR behind only KC and you saw how that game played out! It's really simple math. Throw in the fact SF has only 1 win more than DAL on the year and beat up on a garbage division plus all average opps the past 5-6 weeks! Yeah I'd say that makes DAL their toughest competition since KC

    • Boerboel dad
      Boerboel dad 2 ай бұрын

@J Brown yeah you’re right about that LV game. I’m sure you’re glad Dallas D didn’t give up 34 points to a backup QB this year. Oh wait, yea they did didn’t they? So what’s your point? Any team can be tested by an inferior opponent. It took the Cryboys a 98yrd drive at the end of regulation to beat a 2 win team at the time. So don’t bring up a bad game as an argument, because all good teams have them!

    • Big Sheed
Big Sheed 2 ай бұрын +1

@J Brown How are you calling the Cowboys tough competition? Dak was one interception away from leading the league in interceptions this year and you don’t think a tougher defense will exploit that? What about the kicker missing four extra points? You think that will win a game vs the 49er’s? You really think the Cowboys will establish a running game vs the 49er’s? The Cowboys haven’t proven nothing yet. If they beat the 49er’s that will actually be impressive. The 49er’s have been more consistent than the Cowboys. That’s just a fact regardless of who they played.

In 1995, the NFL intervened and gave Steve Young a ring before retirement. In 1996, cowboys took the SB championship again. I remembered very well. 😅😅😅

I said the same thing about Tom and Bruce Arians. I said this in the off-season that Tom wanted Bruce Arians gone because he wanted more control over the offense. Well he got more control over the offense this season. He got the coach you wanted (or at least the one he can control better) and look what it led him to. He has no one to blame but himself.

@davidcici11Evolution TB finished the year with 1 less W than SEA! So can't the exact same thing be said about SF who beat a SEA team they beat twice going into that game? Also SEA actually lost to that same bad TB team Week 10 so what does that say about them? But no one is scrutinizing SF and saying SF simply beat an average SEA team they were suppose to beat. What's the difference? The double standards need to stop!

@BigMike95 Bengals started the season badly they are totally different from the beginning of the season now. They were looking they were going to miss the playoffs by how they looked early in the season. That is an incorrect statements. Teams do get better as the season progresses. If your to believe you statement than the Cowboys should of struggled or lost to the Bucs given they lost 17-3 against them in the first week. Yet Dak wasn't healthy and later injured in that game and the Cowboys went to a whole other gear after that game and in spurts around the season. For the most part Cowboys haven't changed but the Bengals didn't start looking dominant until they went on their 8 game winning streak.
The 10-6 Giants team that beat the patriots also didn't start the season hot in fact they looked like they were going to miss the playoffs. Some teams are better in the second half than others some teams are dominant throughout the entire season. What you said is factually incorrect.

Here’s a fact, People complain about the o-line this year, when in fact they gave up 22 sacks this year, the SAME as last year. This year the Bucs defense ranked 7th , Tom Brady’s offense 27th best. Brady was so quick to throw it in the dirt in the Regular season ANNNND in the playoffs.
      Edit:
You can’t bring up his age when it’s good (omg he’s 45 it’s amazing) and use his age as an excuse when it’s bad (omg he’s 45 can’t blame him for not wanting to get hit in the PLAYOFFS)

@Noers Horrendous Agreed. Come on with the excuses. Zeke isnt as explosive, and he simply doesnt have the vision that Pollard has, nor the improvisation. The one twenty yard run Pollard had running outside left, waa clearly a play designed to run up the middle, where there was a huge hole. Pollard was running towards it, sees David the last second, and bounced it outside for a nice run.
If thats Zeke, he runs EXACTLY where the play is called, and gets plowed by David for a yard. Ive watched him his whole career, and he just doesnt deviate from the play, and sometimes you gotta think on the fly. Pollard can, and frankly thats a big reason why hes been better than Zeke for two years now.

@Mickey Housley u seriously gonna compare Cousins to Brady. The context is that nobody is even close to Bradys league. He is superhuman. We hold him to a different standard based on that. If he doesn't win the superbowl then the season was a failure... thats the high standard... He has appeared in half of the superbowls since he started playing. That's silly.

    • JAM229
      JAM229 2 ай бұрын

@Paul Aveni No, Brady was fortunate the game was that close and should've lost to the Rams by double digits last year. "Look at the Rams now." Yeah, and? They play in a way harder Division than Brady does and they've been injured all year. Take Aaron Donald for example. He has only missed two games prior to this year and he has never missed a game due to injury in his previous 8 seasons in the league. He missed the last 6 games this season because of a high ankle sprain. That's three times as many games missed in one year as his first 8 seasons combined. Let that sink in. Not to mention all of the departures they had in the off-season.
Yes, Brady could have more rings, but you can also make the argument that he should "only" have three or four rings tops. It's also not a given that the Bucs would've beaten the 49ers in the NFC Championship. Finally, there's no way you'd seriously choose an 80-year-old Brady over 30-year-old Garoppolo. That's just foolish.

No excuses have to be made for Tom Brady or for the rest of the Buccaneers team. The excuses and the apologies need to come from the owner(s) and general manager who did not provide a qualified coaching staff for a otherwise very talented group of football players. The coaches were average at the very best in 2019 and went rapidly down hill with the changing of Bowles to head coach and keeping Leftwich as offensive coordinator. It is hilarious that Bowles was awarded the head coach position after the dwindling performance of the defense at the end of last year and the totally disastrous play in the playoffs that probably kept the Bucs out of the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay will lose the best quarterback to have ever played the game next year and probably continue to fall to the bottom of the entire NFL team roster... unless there are some serious coaching changes over the spring and summer. The Bucs had their chance at a dynasty and blew it.
