Man got a 200m contract, a shoe deal, he’s the face of a franchise and has a daughter. If those not convincing enough to stay outta trouble then he’s doomed
@skankhunt42 okay keep thinking that.. so he’s off the court issues had nothing to do with the league getting rid of em.. everybody knows the NBA doesn’t play when it comes to harming the league and the Brand! and Iverson wasn’t the best role model i grew up in that era i know what’s up Iverson wasn’t even old when he left the NBA dawg nobody wanted him
Was going to say the same thing, cause his father is very involved in his basketball training and basketball growth. Needs to know the personal life is even more important at this stage! - he has done a great job already so far..
Man I am so thankful we have this guy! This is truly the guy you want to ride in your corner. Like for real for real. He has the gift of speech and discernment! He also is mature and big enough to apologize when he was wrong! Love you big bro. Keep at it for us!
Yung Black Millionaires in America, Be Responsible not Stupid. Too Much Money and not Enough Discipline. It's easy to do wrong. Your Brain is there to give you Options. Your Spirit is there to Discern and make the Wiser Descision/Choice. J Morant is Yung and He needs to Mature. Be a Leader not a Follower. It's showing up on the Basketball Court. NBA needs to put a Strict Probation Period on these Yung Players.(Even if they are a Blue Chip too.
Guys like Kobe, Curry and Bron really are on a whole other level not just on the court but off. They dominated the league for years all while coming from a place of humility, all while raising their families while in committed relationships and let their hard work speak for itself. These bozos like Ja have so much talent and so little respect it’s crazy
That lack of respect will cost him his life. The Little homies who Ja embarrassed at the community game has been eyeing those shoes, shiny grill, and whatever Ja has in his pockets. They need groceries, diapers for the babies and they have nowhere to go, and no future, no skills or ambition to attaint them. They’ll split what’s on Ja 50/50. Some don’t care about the money, they just don’t like his arrogance. The grim reality
“Lift himself and his family out this environment.” Ja has two loving parents and had a basketball court in his backyard. He has convinced himself he’s something he’s not
This message is the same one I tell any young man I come across especially when they play sports. This needs to be seen by every young athlete especially young men
@alscola750 The cops are not something he should worry about. Tennessee is an open carry state and he has the right to have a gun. And I just said the media is being racist for immediately saying Ja is a gang member and creating an image of a criminal when he wasn't convicted or charged with anything. Owning guns is a right and no one has the right to take it away from him.
What's sad is that this young generation will say Uncle Shay is "hating" when really it's just an elder who knows what this kid is capable of is full of wisdom and guidance .
What’s sad is putting anyone in a box and making assumptions like that based on something as simple as their age 🤦♂️ that’s why I can’t expect you to be wiser just because you’re older. I personally like to judge people as individuals 🤷♂️
this young generation should just get on with each other and let nature do its job, we need a hard reset because this generation is totally lost, aint nothing saving them because just like you said for them we just "hatin"
The thing is I can picture Ja seeing this and thinking Shannon and Skip are "against him" even though they are actually being genuine and trying to help.
@Kenneth Jones literally just got suspended for a completely different incident 🤦♂️ for having a gun on IG live or whatever site. Like I said before, Ja puts himself in these situations 🤷♂️
@Simón Suarez he didn't get suspended. The NBA found no evidence of any of this on the video surveillance in the bus area. Where did u get that info? His friends got banned for a season. That's the only thing that happened.
Having spent a career working to teach and persuade young people to get out of gangs, I’m soaking in what you’re saying. Kids in danger need to see this discussion.
Enjoy the good life Ja... It's just a matter of time. As hard as you and your crew think you are and continue to do what you do, there is always others on the other end 10x harder than you. Hope you realize that.
I mean that’s true. But all tough guy stuff is really silly until somebody is bulletproof. And if you the toughest guy on the yard you still can catch a shank or an ambush and even if you win in prison you are the king of a wasteland. This is where our culture has to be a little more honest about the negatives we coddle. Shannon is the only person goin in on Ja like this and I remember when he was takin heat for doin the same with AB. 🌝
“People that are in that life would give ANYTHING to be in your life.” Shannon’s speaking truth not just on Ja, but every successful young black man he’s seen fallen back on the hood mentality and fail to reach their potential for greatness. I hope Myles Bridges is listening too 🙏
"Why be sorry?" Shannon hit deep with this one. Everyone willing to pop off then wanna relfect and apologize after being held accountable for taking a life. To Shannons point, why even let it get there. Move on and live the lavish lifestyle 1% of the world experiences, instead of trying to be an ordinary gangsta.
Think of D Rose. His brothers taught him the game and protected him from all that stuff like good big bothers like "bro, just enjoy basketball and work hard. We got your back and looking out for you"
Unfortunately, he's in the club like so many others..there are other dirty things going on in other avenues other than the streets..He has the tattoo's to prove it and also that case against him, although he may have gotten off or may not have done what he was accused of. There's evil everywhere. When I used to watch basketball, I was honestly blown away at how fast and good D Rose was before all his injuries..that blatant all seeing eye and pyramid tattoo says more though than most think.
This is such an important talk that some of these young players need to hear. If you have made it to NBA, you have already accomplished that hundreds of thousands of basketball players each year couldn't. Don't waste your life with thugs and gangsters.
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️...Wait till monday..they bout to go in on him..rightfully so and that "statement" he put out ..more like a pr statement from his team..no shade on ja..he's great but like shannon says u not hard..do better
A crazy story I heard once was 76ers owner Pat Croce hired Larry Brown to discipline Allen Iverson. Also what is more crazier was Pat Croce paid Allen Iverson's friends just to stay away from him during the season. When Pat Croce sold the 76ers, AI was just out of control.
@BlacK LogiCrak well it's all the same for me they are little minutes away from each other I was born in DC it's damn near up the street from each other
This is why when they said, he could be the next face of the league I laughed. The face of the league isn’t talking about “spinning the block” smh. Worth 200 mil and trying to be hood. And with “friends” that would even allow him to be in harms way. Smh
I know a dude from my hood that got drafted by the Grizzlies. Came home and got arrested hanging out with the homies. Contract gone and working at a convenience store. Shannon speaking facts.
@8dri backk clearly it matters to Ja, and that's the point -- I.e., it shouldn't! If he gets arrested or worse, his career will be ruined. Where will his homies be then?!
As someone who came from the ‘trenches’ it is my belief that everything starts in the home. If you have parents that early on instill in you that the life everyone around you is living isn’t the life you should chose, then you can make it out. I’ve seen it too many times. I have extremely educated and successful friends that came from the same environment!
If you want to know why he's like that, look at his dad. When I'd seen his dad walked up to Shannon trying to fight, then I knew it's bigger than what we see. It's a family dysfunction n he should be careful
@Kash That's the problem with these young punks today, their fragile egos get hurt so easily and its no wonder more of them are ending up behind bars. And yes, you most definitely can and maybe we need to start talking to and treating young athletes in this situation much more harshly until it starts to get thru their stupid heads
Shannon is much more than a talking head on TV. The man has a incredible resume not just in his career but in life and it's important that we heed his words
When he had that incident with the 17 year old that hit him in the face, I thought it was because he was young. Now I think his father needs to step in and teach this young man. If they can't represent you in the right way then it's time to let them go.
That’s what I’m saying bro they tryna act like he even come from dat in the first place 😭 bro thinks he can live both his dreams, nah it’s either da streets or da NBA
As a man that comes from that environment it’s hard to just let people you love and came up with go just like that especially when you want to take them all with you and see them all win as well but unfortunately you can’t and the relationships start to no be as strong as before and that’s what hurts the most! 💯 Cause you feel like you lost or losing your Friends/brothers by literally just trynna better your self lbs 💯
@AllStar Jay lol why you acting mad first of all? And second you was saying it like you were trying to relate to him... Else why type a comment like that? Chill goofy
Loved watching ja play during his ncaa tournament run. Became a big fan after that. Loved his draft story they showed of how his dad pushed him to be the best. Him and Zion have great stories coming out of that draft. Just trying to make it out and how they had parents that pushed them to get to the top. Would hate to see ja lose it all because of bad personal choices. I feel like he knows what he has at stake and his team believes in him. Hopefully he stays on a straight path.
One thing I'm surprised they didn't bring up the most important aspect of this situation: Ja Morant is a FATHER why put yourself in a situation where you risk your daughter growing up without you in her life smh
As a father, if my son grows up and starts acting gangsta its a slap in MY face. It's telling me he thinks I didn't do what I had to do to prevent him from thinking that's the way he has to live. I know it's not always the case but that's how I would take it. I would hope his friends or rappers influence isn't stronger than mine for him to think he has to be "gang gang"
I honestly needed to hear this. I have been struggling so hard lately with feeling like a sellout because I've moved on to a better life but couldn't take certain ppl with me. I was brought up in that life but was always told to go another way, by my friends. Now that I am where I am, I'm forgetting where I came from according to those same ppl.
@alex dolata I could understand if this is 1996 and y'all talkin like this... But black people have been doing well for a couple of years now... It is time to put away the selfishness of individuality and UNITE the whole!! In the end what did you gain?? A piece of the American pie?? A seat at the table?? God will ask why didn't you help those in need?? I blessed you so you could bless others... I exalted you and you were ashamed of me.. Depart from me!!
Bro dont let nobody bring u down for bettering yoursslf jus cuz they dont, or cant, its one thing to feel bad but dont change what you want for other peoples feelings, if youre on a better track an doin well that is the only thing that matters, if they mad at you for doin good they aint good friends anyway💯
Thanks unc I needed to hear this I’m from that life and been bout it for 18 yrs and lost everyone I loved to that life. I changed but it was hard for me to let go the few people that I had left but now I understand that’s it’s hard but it’s vital
This happened to my youngest son!!!! I know this first hand!! Went to the Elite 8! He would have been a Draft Pick but, couldn’t leave the street people alone. He didn’t grow up around it or with it them but, thought he was tough! Then it was OVER for him and Basketball with a snap of a figure. And yaw all seen it unfold on ESPN with his College Uniform on! It was heartbreaking for me and his late-dad, and then it finally hit my son!
@Natural Principles I would love to say but, his big brother is in the NBA now and I don’t want any issues with him. Hope you understand. But thanks 🙏🏽
Wow, sorry to hear that..Have to pray for people, trouble is everywhere. This world is going downhill real fast it seems like. What was his name if you don't mind me asking? God bless
Straight intelligent facts from Shannon as usual. The man don't get enough credit for carrying the majority of the public's respect for the sports media on his back.
This is why I love Shannon. He’s trying to say ja is not a failure like a lot of young kids that think they’re hard. But ja is following the wrong crowd when he rich, famous and made it to the nba. There’s no need to follow the wrong crowd when you can EASILY be part of the good guy crowd.
Dude has a chance to be the face of or one of the main faces of the league and he’s surrounding himself with people that are gonna ruin it for him. I hope he grows up and learns from this
Yeah idk about those friends even being his friends at all. If I was doing that and my friend was in the NBA I'd be telling him myself that he needs to stay clear or else he'll get caught up in it one way or the other and lose it all when he has the opportunity to really make something for himself and his family.
Exactly: Your family and friends also speak about you so you must be careful who do you go around with. No more to say. Be careful and put away people who don't improve your life.
Thank you Shannon Sharpe for having the guts and real concern for Ja to say what needed to be said. Hopefully Ja will listen, tone it down and just play basketball because it just may save his life.
@DMan , those will be the hypocrites. Shannon Sharp’s JOB, is to discuss sport trending topics, and this was one, so he was obligated to discuss it. He did, as expected of him, and his take was on point, Ja must mature and separate himself from bad influence and negativity, regardless of who they are and how long he has known them. That does not mean he needs to drop them as friends, he just needs to reset the expectations; he needs to say,”fellows, if we are going to hang together, no guns, no drugs, no fighting, no trouble at all”. he needs to tell them ; “if you all can not do that, I got to go my way”. As simple as that!!!
He's already been on Twitter somehow blaming the NBA for "letting" the story get reported, and acting like his friend was done wrong for trying to fight the Pacers, and then driving around to confront the team bus, and getting banned from the Memphis arena. Only a fool thinks this sory wasn't going to get out! Did he think the Pacers organisation wasn't going to talk about it, or the NBA woild cover it up for him? He ended his Tweet with a laughing emoji, claiming because they couldn't prove there was a gun in the car, it means the Pacers personnel were lying. No reference to his and his entourage's actions. Monumentally stupid!
There was a time when I thought that the premise of a sports psychologist was absurd but I can understand it after thinking about it more closely and if anyone in the recent past has ever needed the services of one more than JA Morrant I can't fathom who it is.
The Falcons staff said that they never worried about Vick when he was in Atlanta during the season, but they were worried when he went back home to Newport News and hung out with his old friends. This has the same type of feeling to it.
@Jarard X let's see by calling himself black jesus while supposedly giving someone money by telling the Golden state warriors they were going to "whoop that trick" after he won a playoff game against them last year stuff like that
@Jarard X by tweeting “it’s free to see how hollows feel” to some random Twitter troll 🤷♂️ aka showing how he’s so emotional that he’ll threaten violence against some random irrelevant person who offended him on the internet. He did that to himself. So when a story like this comes out, it’s easy to believe he’d be involved in threatening someone with a gun in real life…
@Jarard X well for starters having friends who allegedly pointed a loaded weapon at professional basketball players........... and defending 🙄 them......... calling himself black Jesus multiple times in public 🙄 😒 and last but certainly not least in A interview he stated he would school prime Michael Jordan......🤦♂️
Been saw this coming!!! Ja's ego is just different to the point of "fake". His lack of sheer confidence is blistering yet he's decent player meaning there's been many before him. Humility is what he needs and the rest will fall into place! Let something happen inside the NBA and he's toast!🎯
This is how we as a people, become our own worst enemies. A few days ago, you were ready to fight this guy and his whole team. You apologized a heartfelt or a true apology, I gotta believe. Now you have advice and wisdom for this kid. Good stuff....how do you think it will be accepted? The division in our race and so-called culture is maddening. We have promoted this gangsta/street/hood mentality for so long when we knew it was mostly BS. Now we think these kids and adults with this mentality have the ability to change it. We are fooling ourselves. If I was a praying man, I would do that for my people, I can't give up, but I don't see away out of what we have done to ourselves.
All he said was dillion can't guard lebron. Then the entire grizzlies team ran up on Shannon and the man stood his ground. Bystanders always say all types of stuff to nba players. What Shannon said wasn't even that bad it was just some trash talk. And again, THEY ran up on him, not the other way around lol smh
Not to mention the biggest blessing he’s received of all!!! his precious baby girl needs to be 100% number one and forefront when he thinks he wants to act that way..:
@Simón Suarez yea I agree it’s his responsibility at the end of day. Just saying though these friends of his don’t seem to care how their action hurt Ja
Athletes who surrounded themselves with trash people and paid for it: Michael Vick, Aaron Hernandez, & Javaris Crittenton. Ja needs to trim that entourage
I have never heard Shannon say bro this much in my entirety of watching undisputed. This must’ve really gotten to him; no black man wants to see another one fail for dumb decisions amen
Check out the What’s Wright? with Nick Wright podcast: sprtspod.fox/WhatsWright_YT
diamond stone
Hopefully, he gets his endorsements taken away because that was out of line
@Mike Stewart AI wasn’t trying to be a studio gangsta like jah
@Mike Stewart Boosie oats got Jahs eyebrows growin
Man got a 200m contract, a shoe deal, he’s the face of a franchise and has a daughter. If those not convincing enough to stay outta trouble then he’s doomed
Well, well, well
This aged well… sad but true
@PDC he outlived his usefulness. He couldnt win with anthony.
@skankhunt42 okay keep thinking that.. so he’s off the court issues had nothing to do with the league getting rid of em.. everybody knows the NBA doesn’t play when it comes to harming the league and the Brand! and Iverson wasn’t the best role model i grew up in that era i know what’s up Iverson wasn’t even old when he left the NBA dawg nobody wanted him
Id actually be so embarrassed when literally everyone comes together and agrees that I’m not a gangster 😂😂
For real 🤣🤣 I heard him listening to Nba YoungBoy during warm ups
🤣🤣
Honestly that’s a good thing when everyone agrees on something it’s time to change
I swear
It’s a shame he has a father and he’s acting like a damn fool, but it seems like his father is too busy being a fan to talk some sense into him!!
@1 Closer I was gonna say thee exact same thing!
the fame got to his father, turning into a groupie instead of his father figure..
Yeah, his Dad is a problem. Acting a fool.
You have a choice. Be a father or be a member of his entourage.... you can't be both.
@Tyler Williams A father should check his son when he’s putting himself on the line. Why allow another man to check your son? Shameful
Was going to say the same thing, cause his father is very involved in his basketball training and basketball growth.
Needs to know the personal life is even more important at this stage! - he has done a great job already so far..
When skip bayless calls you a fake gangster just stop it😂😂😂😂
Facts 😂
@Bowskee yea lol
@Isaiah Senders who? skip? 😂😂😂
He got real mob ties lol
Right...lmbo
Shannon treating Ja like he in a Parent teacher conference 😂
Lol I’m weak bro 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s what he needed! You don’t need yes men, that doesn’t get you anywhere but trouble.
😂😂😂😂
Ja should have Shannon on speed dial..
Man I am so thankful we have this guy! This is truly the guy you want to ride in your corner. Like for real for real. He has the gift of speech and discernment! He also is mature and big enough to apologize when he was wrong! Love you big bro. Keep at it for us!
@Tavara def wasn’t raised right, almost like someone in his life left
Yung Black Millionaires in America, Be Responsible not Stupid. Too Much Money and not Enough Discipline. It's easy to do wrong. Your Brain is there to give you Options. Your Spirit is there to Discern and make the Wiser Descision/Choice. J Morant is Yung and He needs to Mature. Be a Leader not a Follower. It's showing up on the Basketball Court.
NBA needs to put a Strict Probation Period on these Yung Players.(Even if they are a Blue Chip too.
@sterling grier tell me you’re a kid without telling me you’re a kid
I appreciate you sayin all that about Skip.
Shannon is the brother - dad - freind everyone needs. This man speaks from the heart.
Yea until skip interrupts him. Then he get quiet.
Bs
@nathan papp The fact that he apologized with ten toes down means you can't shame him for that bruh lol
@Abu Hanifah only on the court
Man this is a aspect of greatness that doesn't get talked about enough.
@Ido Sabam Emanuel she had multiple different DNA in her she was cap
@Enoch Byrd Oh wow who cares. myob.
“Everybody that comes with you can’t go with you.” Someone needs to tell Ja this.
Im copping this, incorporate to my life
11 Lz 😂 Tyson said it best!!!
@Neutral Geniusexactly
@sterling grier Nawhh he sound like he droppin gems 💎
Man, Shannon's words ended up being prophetic.
“Lift himself and his family out this environment.” Ja has two loving parents and had a basketball court in his backyard. He has convinced himself he’s something he’s not
@DADDY Allen there’s a difference between gangsters we’re living that life because they have to and people who choose too
Listening too much on rap music for sure, he probably still listen to useless Easy E with the glorifying of gangster life and all.
@wagwan ok but he’s not hood THATS THE POINT. He acting like he from someplace he not from
@N/A N/A yea but the hood respects him I’m sure in Memphis and has his back like that I’m sure.. and doesn’t mean he hasn’t ever been exposed to it.
@Extravagant dont matter he never grew up in the dangerous parts dude lived in a gated neighborhood
This message is the same one I tell any young man I come across especially when they play sports. This needs to be seen by every young athlete especially young men
Negative, this speech won’t change young man in the same situation. That’s not how you reach them, they’re going to rebel.
This is absolutely embarrassing for Morant.
His Dad is at every game, basically. He's the one who needs to step up. Unless he's also involved.
@Filip Cordas this is not racism this is bad behavior & by the way I'm a 50yr old black man
@Filip Cordas A male becomes a man at 27, a female at 24.
@Butch McCray I think the guy really loves baseball if he is playing pickup games on the weekends. And again, no actual changes because it's made up.
@no your argument made absolutely zero sense. You are that younger generation he’s talking about 👆🏽
Facts people are already saying he is so called “hating”
The thing is I can picture Ja seeing this and thinking Shannon and Skip are "against him" even though they are actually being genuine and trying to help.
@Kenneth Jones hopefully this can help him change for the better, but I guess only time will tell
@Simón Suarez I didn't see that. WOW!!!! I digress and retreat to my living room in silence😂😂😂
Ironic how he probably would’ve never been suspended if he just took Skip and Shannon’s advice…

@Junior C a wet blanket at that 🤣
ja about as hard as a down blanket.
Always. The ones with nothing to lose and a point to prove. Dudes not in Mil, Sea, Orl he’s in Memphis.
This video aged even better… go Shannon !
“You got a $200 million dollar contract and you want people in the NBA to think you gangsta”
@striving4gr8ness What happened
@justin delaney demar derozan? Derrick rose?
Y'all do know there are real gang bangers in the league right??
That's a culture issue within the black community.
“People that are in that life would give ANYTHING to be in your life.”
Shannon’s speaking truth not just on Ja, but every successful young black man he’s seen fallen back on the hood mentality and fail to reach their potential for greatness.
I hope Myles Bridges is listening too 🙏
Wouldn't be surprised if those same fools end up robbing him some day. They would give anything to have what he has...
"Why be sorry?" Shannon hit deep with this one. Everyone willing to pop off then wanna relfect and apologize after being held accountable for taking a life. “You not hard” that hurt ja lol
“People in that life would give anything to be in your life”💯
He’s not lying bro
Duhhhh
@michael oduro u riding ja too much
@michael oduro yeah cuz he wants to be gangsta but doesn’t realize how lucky he truly is compared to others
Yeah that statement right there was deep
Just hearing skip say cappin got me dead 6:11 🤣
😂😂 i had to rewind it a couple times. i thought i was trippin
@Creflo Pesoomg 😂😂😂
Surprised he didn't call him a femboy
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is such an important talk that some of these young players need to hear. If you have made it to NBA, you have already accomplished that hundreds of thousands of basketball players each year couldn't. Don't waste your life with thugs and gangsters.
Who’s here after Ja’s suspension?
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️...Wait till monday..they bout to go in on him..rightfully so and that "statement" he put out ..more like a pr statement from his team..no shade on ja..he's great but like shannon says u not hard..do better

@ashfrog8 I call BS. Source?
@BlacK LogiCrak he also went to Georgetown which is where DC. He's from all over. He might been born in VA but he's from all over he's from the DMV
@BlacK LogiCrak if you from any part of the DMV you from everywhere
@BlacK LogiCrak well it's all the same for me they are little minutes away from each other I was born in DC it's damn near up the street from each other
"God punishes you by giving you everything you want, to see if you can handle it" - Mike Tyson
We'll see how well Ja handles it.
Memphis is so insane and it needs to be addressed more publicly. Not just the grizzlies, the city itself needs more eyes on it.
Memphis is where gangs were originally invented put respect on them 🤣
I mean so is it here in St. Louis but almost everywhere has its issues
This is why when they said, he could be the next face of the league I laughed. The face of the league isn’t talking about “spinning the block” smh. Worth 200 mil and trying to be hood. And with “friends” that would even allow him to be in harms way. Smh
@sterling grier name 12 players who are 4 years into the league better than Ja.
How can he be face of league? There are 10-12 players that better than JA!
When Shannon hits someone with the "C'mon bruh" you know he really means it
I know a dude from my hood that got drafted by the Grizzlies. Came home and got arrested hanging out with the homies. Contract gone and working at a convenience store. Shannon speaking facts.
Wow. That is one of the more depressing stories I have heard in a while.
Bro time traveled to the future
Couldn’t find anything online about what you said. Either you’re lying or it’s not on the internet. What’s his name?
no you dont
Name?
This aged so well
Shannon with another classic take!! "You not hard"😂😂😂
If they were his real friends they wouldn’t let him throw his life away
@Father Sha if they're smart, they wouldn't...
they all wanna act hood
@8dri backk clearly it matters to Ja, and that's the point -- I.e., it shouldn't! If he gets arrested or worse, his career will be ruined. Where will his homies be then?!
@8dri backk peer pressure is real… The smartest kids has fell victim to it trying to prove that they’re “down”
Idm what his freinds say it matters how smart ja is with his life
Ive watched this 15 times already still lmao 😂😂 BRO YOURE NOT HARD 🤣
As someone who came from the ‘trenches’ it is my belief that everything starts in the home. If you have parents that early on instill in you that the life everyone around you is living isn’t the life you should chose, then you can make it out. I’ve seen it too many times. I have extremely educated and successful friends that came from the same environment!
@sterling grier what does money do?
Sometimes kids gon do what they want to do when they get a certain age. It ain't always the parents fault. They grow up and do what they want to do ..
Until you become a multi million at 21 don’t comment!
Fax 📠
If you want to know why he's like that, look at his dad. When I'd seen his dad walked up to Shannon trying to fight, then I knew it's bigger than what we see. It's a family dysfunction n he should be careful
Shannon so well said. Every young athlete needs to hear this
@philchips what a crazy thing to say
@philchips your white huh??
@Kash That's the problem with these young punks today, their fragile egos get hurt so easily and its no wonder more of them are ending up behind bars. And yes, you most definitely can and maybe we need to start talking to and treating young athletes in this situation much more harshly until it starts to get thru their stupid heads
This was not well said at all. U can’t talk to young men in this situation like they’re kids and like they’re punks. They are going to rebel.
“Ja you not bout that life” 🤣
“Bruh. You not hard. That’s not your life.” Perfectly put. Ja ain’t like that at all💀
@Liberty Above All wait his name is not ja ?
Bruh...I'm still crying 😂😂😂😭😭😭
@Brandon Clemons Because look at your avatar, your the same wannabe gangster as him
Shannon is much more than a talking head on TV. The man has a incredible resume not just in his career but in life and it's important that we heed his words
“I’m not worry about nobody in the west!!” That sure did age well 😂
When he had that incident with the 17 year old that hit him in the face, I thought it was because he was young. Now I think his father needs to step in and teach this young man. If they can't represent you in the right way then it's time to let them go.
Shannon & Skip’s chemistry is getting way better! I like them agreeing on a message empowering the youth and their decision making.
Amen, Shannon! He is awesomely talented, but everything can be taken away in a second. Gangsterism and basketball can't co-exist!
Ja really tryna live a lifestyle he was never brought up in 😂
@Xavier Anderson famous for basket ball ?
@MultiKushie cuh stop eatin ja 🥜 sweet ahh jit😂
@1inAMillion that had nothing to do with my comment but on
That’s what I’m saying bro they tryna act like he even come from dat in the first place 😭 bro thinks he can live both his dreams, nah it’s either da streets or da NBA
@Aaron and clarences parents had a real good marriage
Ja seems like the type that will only learn the hard way.
Even the dad has let the fame gone to his head
People ask, "why do you like Shannon?". This is why I like Shannon. He's saying this because he cares about people, he wants the best for Ja
@AllStar Jay sure bud
@Shacari not mad at all was jus telling you.
@AllStar Jay lol why you acting mad first of all? And second you was saying it like you were trying to relate to him... Else why type a comment like that? Chill goofy
@Shacari nah duh but you commented on my comment and obviously ain’t read the first line
@AllStar Jay we talking bout ja not you
Here he go tryna prove himself again 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Unc speaking straight facts
😭😭😭😭😭
Ja tripping smh
@DresdenShuffle he don’t get invited to parties
@Goodnight Munchie 😂😂😂
@Goodnight Munchie WHAT'S the definition of a BLM opinion 🤔.....??
You'd figure that Aaron Hernandez would be a cautionary tale of what happens when you try to live that kind of double life.
Notice how nice Aaron was, dude truly seemed like a normal person. He never tried to be gangster.
Came back after the news which is crazy smh
Skip and Shannon you guys always make great points on how these young players need to conduct themselves on and off the court.
As much as I'm a die hard grizzly fan and how I ain't too big of a Shannon fan, I gotta say he's speaking facts straight from the heart
One thing I'm surprised they didn't bring up the most important aspect of this situation: Ja Morant is a FATHER why put yourself in a situation where you risk your daughter growing up without you in her life smh
@Maple_Jordan And statistically correct, 70% has no dad.
Same problem in Europe
@Life Outside Life Dude is 20 meaning hè is an adult wtf you on a very young boy?
That’s what he meant when he said : JA you have/got to much to lose!!
Acting like black dudes are worried about being fathers hahahahaha
@Isaac Clark if that’s how you view the music, then you’re entitled to your opinion. Do you also blame violent video games and movies?
Felt this way since his rookie season
Right Shannon tell that young man the truth, I hope he listen .
If those dudes let you get in that car, they're not your friends...
One of these days, Ja will go too far and do something that he will regret for the rest of his life. Stupidity has no bounds.
Think Goggins …
All skin folk ain’t kin folk bro.
@dmvo_johnny don't laugh at him man..he's just misguided a little
"When people show you who they are BELIEVE THEM." - MAYA ANGELOU
If you watch the scuffle with Shannon you notice Ja’s friends try to roll up on Shannon smh
This is probably the best take I've ever heard from Shannon Sharpe. I hope Ja hears this.
@Shika I’ll just say he went to KSTATE around 5-6 years ago.
@Mary Collinswho is his brother? wow
"I think his heart is good." Skip needs to start wearing a dress and ask when the husband is coming back from fighting against the indians.
@Josh Duncan yes they are. Bunch of fan boys. He mentioned Shannon but I guess skip wasn't making good points too lmao.
@Josh Duncan They are brah. Just want to be entertained and not observe his actions in totality.
@Josh Duncan yea but shay comes from dirt.....one yr suspension should get ja mind right
I love that they are 2-8 in the last 10 games, they need a little humility.
Facts!!!! It comes with time and maturity....sometimes you have to lose to win...time is still undefeated!!!
If ja keeps looking for trouble, he might not only find it, it might find him
That day was today bro.. it came into existence..
0:38 how did Shannon say that with a straight face 😂😂😂
Dude has a chance to be the face of or one of the main faces of the league and he’s surrounding himself with people that are gonna ruin it for him. I hope he grows up and learns from this
@MONTAY1k Money teamDo you know what happened to Allen Iverson?
@MONTAY1k Money team you the type of people Shannon is talking about lmaoo
0:35 got me in tears 😂😂😂
Yeah idk about those friends even being his friends at all. If I was doing that and my friend was in the NBA I'd be telling him myself that he needs to stay clear or else he'll get caught up in it one way or the other and lose it all when he has the opportunity to really make something for himself and his family.
Exactly: Your family and friends also speak about you so you must be careful who do you go around with.
No more to say. Be careful and put away people who don't improve your life.
When skip said “you don’t want this smoke, stop it” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 meme worthy dawg 2:37
Nike - “ohhh he want to be a shooter” - (tears up contract)
Thank you Shannon Sharpe for having the guts and real concern for Ja to say what needed to be said. Hopefully Ja will listen, tone it down and just play basketball because it just may save his life.
@Francisco Arroyo COPE
@Francisco Arroyo lot of people wouldnt say nothing and would care less
feshgeshge
Those are not real friends. A real friend would not put him in that situation.
8:59 Shannon speaking from experience. Not the taking part but he knows what it’s like to carry heat. Gotta constantly check yourself
My Mom always said: A person that has nothing, does not care about U having something, the loose a free ride, while I loose EVERYTHING!💯💯
Ja is hilarious, “they still release this article to paint a negative image of you” LMAO HE PAINTS A NEGATIVE IMAGE OF HIMSELF
@Jarard X let's see by calling himself black jesus while supposedly giving someone money by telling the Golden state warriors they were going to "whoop that trick" after he won a playoff game against them last year stuff like that
Exactly look at his tweets that’s enough said about who he tryna portray lol he be talking like he king von
Facts no accountability
Exactly 💯
They don’t wanna talk about that tho a few days ago he wanted all the “ smoke “ wild ghetto on the court tryna fight now words of wisdom
This is a lesson to you youngsters to hang out with a group of friends that’llaboid you from being in situations like this.
Not to mention the biggest blessing he’s received of all!!! his precious baby girl needs to be 100% number one and forefront when he thinks he wants to act that way..:
This is where it all started this whole
Debacle !
If these ppl were really Ja’s “friends” they wouldn’t jeopardize him and his family like that.
@jrad410 yeah, it goes both ways. I’m just saying it comes from the top
@Simón Suarez yea I agree it’s his responsibility at the end of day. Just saying though these friends of his don’t seem to care how their action hurt Ja
Ja is young and life will teach him if he don't want to listen... Either way he will be ok
Athletes who surrounded themselves with trash people and paid for it: Michael Vick, Aaron Hernandez, & Javaris Crittenton. Ja needs to trim that entourage
Everytime Uncle Shay said it's not your life and you ain't about that, I felt it..😅
I have never heard Shannon say bro this much in my entirety of watching undisputed. This must’ve really gotten to him; no black man wants to see another one fail for dumb decisions amen
