You can craft something with the nautilus shells called a Conduit that lets you breath under water. Conduits in Minecraft activate the “Conduit Power” effect for all players within a circular radius of 32-96 blocks who come into contact with rain or water. This effect recovers oxygen, boosts mining speed by 16.7% (1/6th), and provides night vision underwater.

I like the name "blue" for the axolotl statue. You nailed it bro! I love that statue, mostly because of the cyan-like colour wool around it. But it has kind of a sad look if you see from the front.

This build is so amazing that I want to do it myself, but the amount of time would be too long. Watching you do it is very satisfying. I love the build!

I think Axel would be a good name for the axolotl so he could be like 'Axel The Axolotl' or something like that

In the 1.19 update, you could use mangrove roots to prevent them from escaping. Just one block is enough, plus it almost looks as good as leaves!

I would recommend using sandstone walls or birch fences instead of using glass. And add some palm trees on the island so it doesn't look empty.

you should put some sea pickles and sea lanterns in the axolotl enclosure to make it bright during the night and so you can see everything clearer :)

i recommend using scute to make a turtle helmet, to breathe underwater for even longer, and you could enchant it with aqua and respiration

Have you considered putting a conduit anywhere so that if you wanted to, you could just hang out with the axolotols underwater? Plus, It probably could've helped with the underwater landscaping...

acookiegod, instead of just making an island, you could transform it into an axolotl enclosure. I recommend you using quartz, blue stained glass and blue concrete to build the walls. It would look so cool.

Edit: some editions don’t work with this but, an alternative is to name the axolotl bucket and when you place it so you don’t need a nametag to place it with a name

Closest block color I can think of is light blur stained terricotta. If you mix that with light blue glass and light blur wool you might be able to get a good color mix idk
