Honestly I think at 38 expending all that energy into the 4th he’s too gassed to keep attacking the basket therefore he’s not closing, that’s where AD’s youth and post presence supposed to come in

    • RK NoWayOut
      RK NoWayOut 7 күн бұрын

@Michael Brown it’s a make or miss league dude, who’s to say he isn’t gassed when he drops 48 points , all I’m saying is idc if was Jordan, bron or even kobe God rest his soul, no 38 year old is fully carrying a team 😂

@Angry Old Hoops Fan not saying that as an excuse but what more can a gassed 38 do to win if others aren’t contributing and your solely relying on said 38 year old 🧐

I don’t think people realize LeBron James has the most minutes played in NBA history out of all of the greatest players of all time, including Wilt Chamberlain, and he still is putting up efficient numbers, across-the-board OK for younger and more skill generation than Michael Jordan had to play against Michael Jordan did not have to guard players who knew how to dribble and shoot and play defense all the same time I knew multiple stars in the league who played in the 90s and I’m Leavin family with Billy Owens and if you don’t know who Billy Owens is look him up he wasn’t the greatest player would even he agrees that but then there was specialty type players that means players were good at one or two things but they were not good at multiple things back. Then you can look at footage from those days in the only footage you’re going to see of people being great players are the actual superstar players when you start looking at the casual players in between in the 90s they were terrible, anybody on the bench on the team right now in the current NBA contort you for 20 or 30 on any given night the eighth man on the bench backing Jordans they probably couldn’t even handle the basketball correctly and definitely wasn’t about to drop 30 on you this whole mess and fantasy that Michael Jordan played against better players is false The Utah Jazz was the best team Michael Jordan had to face in the finals and it’s not even up for debate. Michael Jordan did not have to phase 3 super teams along the way in his journey. Also, LeBron didn’t get to play with Phil Jackson, who is probably the best coach of all time he didn’t get to play with the triangle defense he didn’t have Hall of Fame defenders on his team, Michael Jordan was surrounded by two Hall of Fame defenders. I would love for us to take those Hall of Fame defenders away and then we will see how far Michael Jordan really would’ve got home on his own score and 69 points would’ve been cute but it wouldn’t of got him a win without Dennis Rodman‘s defense is Scottie Pippen‘s defect and those are facts. LeBron James won two championships with one good defender on his team may be being Dwyane Wade other than that Kyrie was a terrible defender. Kevin Love was a terrible defender. A couple of those guys on the Lakers team weren’t good defenders so when we really look back at LeBron‘s career, he definitely got it out of the mud well, Michael Jordan won the championship rings a lot more easily, and it’s not even up for debate.

When you really think about it, the games the Lakers lost have been the ones where they had the lead by double digits and just failed to execute down the stretch.

The bigger problem here is that people keep trying to compare a 34 year old Michael Jordan to a 38-year-old LeBron James, who has played five more seasons than Jordan and he’s also a lot more older and has a lot more miles on his body. I think it’s really cute that Jordan fans keep on trying to do that so that they can keep trying to make Jordan look invincible. The truth is Michael Jordan never played like this at this age, and wasn’t able or capable of doing the same things so now we do have to change the conversation People say that there’s no defense in this generation that’s a lie. The difference is players are able to hit shots even with hands in their faces. Now I have watched basketball season guys are dropping 40 points 50 points even with the hand in their face I think a lot of older people just don’t want to admit that the game is a lot faster now, and it’s a lot more. Skilled Michael Jordan would not be dominating in his generation like he did in previous generations. He would be a better version of Devin Booker. That’s about it.

@Lance.da.legend dude. Rodman was definitely an entertainer. People loved watching him play back then. When Mark Cuban bought the Mavs, ticket sales were extremely low so he talked Rodman out of retirement to play for Dallas and next thing you know they're literally selling out every game because everyone wanted to see Rodman. Not to mention his numerous roles in Hollywood. Gotta be a certain age to remember. Don't speak on players from before your Era if you weren't there to witness

Skip's assessment of LeBron James is really on point in this segment. LeBron has always gotten a pass for underperforming in clutch time throughout his career, even going back to high school. The Lakers can still turn this season around, but the fact is that LeBron is gonna needs guys like Austin Reaves and AD in crunch time in order to do so.

@Philip Sapp But it's not just the 4th quarter shooting tho. It's the fact that LeBron in year 20 spends the entire game from start to finish, scoring just to keep this trash team afloat and in the game. Utilizing tremendous amounts of energy while his rest gets cut short because the rest of the Lakers can't keep a lead. By the end of the fourth, he is exhausted. The opposing team recognizes he's the only one that can score so they load up the paint and dare him to either shoot it from the outside (on tired legs) or kick it out to a fellow bum in a Lakers uniform, so they can brick it. They take away the option for LeBron to drive to the rim (as Skip Payless keeps wrongfully suggesting Bron could do).

@Mike Alford if you think that The Shaq who played in Miami was the same one that played in Cleveland, then you are delusional. And no player in the league wins a chip with this Lakers team. @Gary A. deMar DeRozan already said LeBron James wanted him. The Lakers didn’t want to give him enough years so then the Lakers opted for Westbrook. LeBron never wanted Westbrook. Stop blaming LeBron for this roster he did not trade with those players for Westbrook, this has already been confirmed through a podcast by DeMar DeRozan.

@Overtime Dad Well yeah I think it’s both. The coach has plays that the teams run but they don’t have a play called for every single possession so the players have to come up with something sometimes. In this game it was 50/50 because they were doing this the whole game even after Darvin Ham called timeouts. They just suck and I’m trying to make myself believe it’s just because Ad, Austin Reeves, and Lonnie Walker are out but the team sucked when they weren’t injured. Maybe they will be better considering everybody is playing much better now but who knows with this team

There is a good reason why Kings are 3rd seed in the West. If Kings were that good at home, their record would have currently 21-2 at home and would be good for 1st seed in the West, sitting at a record of 33-11. Kings are 11-9 on the road, which is best in the Western Conference currently.
From 0-4 start to currently 3rd seed at 25-18 is amazing. I thought Kings would go 25-57 when I predicted it in September because of poor organization, but that has completely changed due to Sabonis and Fox. I am very surprised and shocked about how Kings are doing well. This team was even supposed to at least hope for play in, but instead playoff with possible home court advantage in the 1st round of NBA Playoffs if they continue. NBA needs to flex some of Kings game onto ESPN, TNT or ABC due to how well they are playing right now. Kings are no longer a joke.
