PM7's luck? That's nothing, My luck is truly insane. I've never caught a shiny even from legends and scarlet violet. Even when putting in several hours a day.

What has always made me laugh is whenever John finds a shiny, Mikey is filled with unbridled rage, but whenever mikey finds a shiny, John congratulates him with the biggest smile on his face
What I've learned from this is that John either A) has taste more in line with the fandom in general or B) is more aware of and willing to pander to the fandom's taste. RIP Mikey.
@Chouko As someone who doesn't actively hate the eeveelutions but also doesn't really care about them, I feel with Mikey. They're blind spots to me like Lucario - pokémon that I don't particularly have feelings about and might forget exist, but that are insanely popular with the fandom.

I have a senior dachshund with several health problems named Bella (despite her health problems, she's a trooper and still going strong) so I love that it's based off her breed.

Next time instead of voting, just catch groups of 4 ABCD, EFGH, IJKL then do a double battle with your letter's Pokemon. Then even when you both get the same Pokemon there will still be a winner. After 6 battle rounds if it's a tie just roll 4 random letters for a tie breaker.

Think about it the other way. Lechonk only ever became so popular because it was the first, and unlike other firsts, such as Blaziken and Lucario, isn’t a cool recurring mon. Frosmoth isn’t exactly popular, it’s just actually memorable, which Lechonk’s evo’s kind of aren’t.

I didn't think Frosmoth was popular since it was regarded as a competitive disappointment (unlike Volcarona), and I just generally underestimate the power of cuteness (I like Tinkaton, but I didn't expect it to be the most popular ScVi-Dex Pokemon in Japan).
