Rh incompatibility causes major hemolysis and its dct is strongly positive while abo incompatibility causes minor hemolysis and its dct is weakly positive or negative... And when both are present simultaneously then abo incompatibility reduces the severity of rh incompatibility hemolysis.. Because of preformed antibodies in maternal blood....
Yes dear, When mother is o+ and Baby A or B or AB Hemolysis can occur Because o+ mother has antibodies against a/b/ab which will cross through placenta and destroy RBC of fetus
@Learning Pediatrics mam,but most of books write o-a incompatibility and o-b incompatibility,no book write o-ab incompatibility.in ab group child also there should be haemolysis na?
Just amazed by your presentation... Explained in a well manner covering all the info
