I love how general this is, it can definitely interest someone thinking about joining this type of field. I hope to get stronger and more proficient this these areas as an IT major ☺️
This is a really great video! I it does a great job to explain how different concepts with regards to programming and building things fit together. Really helps you know where to go next when you're learning. I wish there was something like this up when I was learning. Going to share this with everyone I know that's trying to get the hang of this.
Wow! Thanks for breaking this down for those of us who want to know how this all works. I can't tell you how many people in this field I've asked this question and have not received a clear answer. Today, I finally understand. Thank you!
Kudos to your presentation and explanation, it helped a 24 year old tech aspirant choose a field without fear or doubt and grow in the career. Can’t thank more.
I can't wait to finish my tech degree i wonder what happens if I finish all the tech degrees im trying to become an indispensable fullstack developer at the equivalent of a Ph.D I am very grateful to someday be a part of a team I don't know what to expect but I'm keeping my head down and working my butt off Thanks Team Treehouse
This looks amazing! Everytime I see something about tehnology on your website, I really get exited to start and try to build a mobile gaming app! Can't wait to start
For someone without prior knowledge to Programming, what language would you guys recommend to start with? I was thinking JS, but it seems JS is mostly for simple websites. Idk. Things I'll like to use my programming skills for include, but not limited to the following: - PWA (Progressive Web Apps) - Mobile Apps - Interactive Websites - IoT devices
You should put on blue light blocking glasses whenever you are working on a screen, even during the day. They will help to prevent you from straining too much, or sitting too close to your computer in order to see, and thus exposing yourself to more blue light. When night falls, ensure you put them on to filter out unnatural blue light from both screens and LED lighting. Quite simply, if you are in front of any screen, pop your glasses on! Hi Ryan, If designing and web development come together these days, does it mean web Developers must come with an art/design educational background as well, to be employable, or can they pick it up through a module like in Team Treehouse?
iOS - Swift Android - Kotlin/JAVA Web App - There’s plenty, but I’ve been seeing JavaScript rise to popularity especially with the development of Node.js
This really helped debunked those terms for me and now I understand that I would be a great Back End Developer. Thanks for helping shape my future endeavors.
Wow!!! this guy is awesome, i learn alot about software development in 6 minutes, more than i learnt in a year, now i feel highly motivated ... #GoTeamTreehouse
Really great video, simplied and easy to understand, I've subbed! Thanks. I've got a video idea for you if you don't mind. It would be great if you can you please do a video differentiating: scripting, coding and programming and their associated languages. Can't find any videos differentiating all three and some even using coding and programming interchangeably and others stating they are different! How very confusing. Also differences between a data scientist vs data base administrator and machine learning vs AI. Thank you.
This is THE only video on youtube which fully explains what languages to do for what and how things are done quickly thank you. And do you have to pay a subscription for treehouse?
Great video in terms of how categorised and clean you explain... I came to this video by accident but i think you actually might be able to help me with something... How can i contact you vocally and directly? because its not so easy to explain by writing an email and stuff
Hi @Treehouse do you think you could explain the differences and similarities between, It Technician, Software designer, engineer, architect, and developers. Where does one end and the other begin?
i have qus .i am having a hard time learning core java.coz my teacher didnt taught me c and c++ before that. i have heared before java people should learn c first is that true. if i join your site will it help me to learn java from the deep. and i have have qus to ask ?
Nope, I like Treehouse better. They walk their talk. The UX is really amazing. You can see it in their videos, the way their customer support and teachers treat you. For me it feels in a safe to fail environment.
This is more so steered towards the Web dev and mobile app industry. Is there a video like this for the rest of the tech industry such as software, network, or systems engineering?
Ndumiso Mbete I asked them the same question. They don't presently issue certificates but plan to do so in the near future. As of now, my understanding is that you earn badges every time you complete a course and progress through the library. These badges are displayed on your profile for the public to see. This allows you to network with others to find freelance work, exchange ideas and even work with others for big assignments. You can also discuss in forums the latest design trends in the industry.
you have software architects, database experts, mainframe experts, tech support, telecommunications engineers ...also designers and devs have different roles it shouldn't be one job (frontend dev can be very complex) huge frameworks and games are built with frontend tech - everyone should have a brief idea of what the other does -- you could design a site but the designer does it better , you could code an http request or a scroll effect or a zoom effect but the dev does it better ,
Hi treehouse. i'm a highschool student that'll like to make a lot of money in tech. I'm still contemplating with software engineering or computer science. I'd like to be an expert programmer in future, what is the best course/path for me?
Wow! This is awesome! The world of technology is moving SO fast that it is simply amazing all of the things there are to learn! Kids today have it so much better and easier to learn a usable skill *and* make money...all from the comfort of a computer and never have to break a sweat OR get their precious hands dirty! I sound jealous? You bet I am!
this was really helpful you should put this on your website, really helps people clarify the paths they want to take.

This was so useful!! Thanks for making it simple and straightforward
I am very new to this industry. This video was very helpful and beginner friendly.

Studied for 2 months and got a job as a developer. It can happen but you need that dedication and willingness to learn.
This was incredibly helpful. So glad i came across it. Great explanation
Thank you for explaining these in a way easy for us to understand
Amazing explanation...gave me a clear idea about what to learn.Thank you keep up the good work

Big thanks for giving knowledge . After 20 years in the industry, I came to check how different people teach.
Gave a clear understanding of how things work and the flow. Thanks.
Very informative and easy to understand, thank you for the video, it more or less inspired and motivated me.

What an amazing video that simplifies the technical side of creating a tech product. Thanks

Great, thanks. Looking forward to them!
This is THE only video on youtube which fully explains what languages to do for what and how things are done quickly thank you. And do you have to pay a subscription for treehouse?
You can also use JavaScript on the backend as NodeJS. Also very powerful and easier for people who are used to JavaScript on the frontend.
Ryan, if i knew TreeHouse 12 years ago, I would have enrolled as my after school programme!
Great video in terms of how categorised and clean you explain... I came to this video by accident but i think you actually might be able to help me with something... How can i contact you vocally and directly? because its not so easy to explain by writing an email and stuff
Treehouse there is no way to talk to one of your guys directly instead of email?
