Hey, Jim...thank you for your safe service...as passengers depended on your expertise. Easy breezy thoughts your way. M looking to travel this line....
I think Jeb, Suzanne, and this channel have done more to increase Amtrak ridership than anything else in recent memory. Trains are cool again! Full observation car? Victim of your own success! Thanks for the great content you two.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ - And since god never actually comes down to speak to us, say…in Central Park, it is left to human representatives to speak FOR HIM. Im going to Japan in a week to experience the maglev super train and their highspeed rail since at this time it doesn't exist in America. In America, i stand a better chance of going to the moon....lol!!!
Greetings Jeb. My Father (RIP) was a Sleeping Car Porter and from the ages of 7-14 the Coast Starlight was Dad's regular route. During that time, it ran from Oakland's old 16th Street Station to Portland. I was fortunate to be able to ride with my Dad at least twice a year; once or twice in the summer and also during Christmas break. I enjoyed the winter trips because we never had any snow in the Bay Area and their was plenty to see in the Cascades during our winter train rides. Thank you for bringing back a lot of fond memories. I still remember every nuance of that route - and the train ride between L.A. and Oakland too; as we traveled that route several times on our way to catch the Sunset Limited in L.A. to visit family in New Orleans. BTW, Klamath Falls is pronounced like the shellfish - as in "Clam"-math Falls. Thanks again Jeb. You brought me tears of joy for the memories of the time I shared with Dad on that route. 🤗🤗

My husband and I, along with two of our adult children took this train trip back in 2006 as part of our first vacation to the USA. Unfortunately we didn’t have bedrooms, just recliner seats that became very hard after 36 hours. Even with a 6 hour delay due to track work, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the stunning scenery. Would love to do it again some day.
Jeb and Suzanne, I think this is one of your best videos. I felt like I was right there with you. The Coast Starlight is one of my dream trips. Thanks for sharing this with us!
If you want coastal views, try the Pacific Surfliner down to San Diego. Service is currently reduced due to track work, but once it ramps back up again, it's right next to the beach.
Yep pretty much the best part of the route anyways Surfliner from SD to SLO but make sure your train does the whole trip, quite a lot uses bus service from Santa barbara to SLO and not the full train.
I took this train a few years back and even though I only took it as far as San Jose, it was a great trip. Sure, flying is quicker, but there's something to be said for being able to sit back and relax as the scenery rolls by
100%. Just did a trip to the Anaheim area doing a flight and public transit on the way down and Amtrak on the way back. I felt way more refreshed and chill on the train back despite taking longer. I only got a touch restless when night fell with no more cool scenery to see and the "are we there yet of the last 1h30" starts to happen.
I did this trip about 12 years ago. Visiting from Australia and staying with friends in Ridgecrest CA. I travelled from LA through to Vancouver Canada with many stops along the way, such an amazing experience and had a sleeper berth which made the trip more comfortable. As a sole traveler, the conductor would seat me with different people for meals and ended up meeting so many nice people, they loved the Aussie accent - lol😁. Ended up hugging everyone at the end of the trip. I would definitely do it again.👍👍
I love so much that Suzanne is taking such a leading role in your videos these days... you two complement each other so well, and I just love how nice and normal she comes across... so refreshing in a world dominated by influencers and celebrities. You rock Suzanne!
Love your videos, Jeb & Suzanne. I'm not sure how many more significant Amtrak routes you have yet to complete, as train videos in my opinion have equalled, if not exceeded plane videos in the quality of production, visuals and commentary. I didn't think I'd say that as it was plane videos that first drew me to your channel. Keep up the great work as always!
The Coast Starlight is an excellent route to travel. Suzanne and Jeb this is probably your best rail video to date. Really enjoyed your interactions on this video. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Looks awesome. I'm 50 years old and had never been on a real train before. But thanks in part to your videos, I took the Zephyr over the summer and am taking the Coast Starlight in December. Hopefully I'll see snow.
As a resident of Paso Robles, i’m glad you featured the amazing Cuesta Pass! I’m glad you enjoyed your time in San Luis Obispo! Come back soon, fly into SBP, it has an absolutely beautiful terminal that I know you’ll love! So sad I missed the chance to see you pass through on the train :(
Just booked this trip for me and my husband to celebrate my birthday in 2023. I never would have known about this route if it wasn't for you Jeb. Love the videos. Keep them coming!
We took this train from LA to Oakland last year to spend New Years with my brother & wife. It definitely beats sitting in traffic driving during holiday times. I have been very fortunate to enjoy driving along the California coast but have a new appreciation of it seeing it through your eyes. Taking AmTrak from LA to Chicago thru the Rockies is on my bucket list and hope to do it soon. Thanks for your wonderful videos!
I did this trip solo from OC to Portland about 10 years ago, it was a great experiece. spectacular views & met some great people. can't beat traveling by train.
Great presentation. My wife and I would really like to do a trip like this. However, she has some physical mobility limitations. So we get to enjoy these trips by watching your well done videos. Thank you very much!
Jeb, being both an airline employee of 33 years and train enthusiast I have really come to enjoy watching your videos more than ever before. I’m so glad you’ve been doing some Amtrak videos. I actually find myself agreeing with a lot of your comments regarding rail travel. Thank you for putting out such great videos. Also I thought Suzanne’s comment about the prunes and restroom in the room to be hilarious.
LAX based train attendant who discovered your channel as an av geek. Thank you for your including train travel & your appreciation for Amtrak! I always wash my hands after doing push-ups on the dining car aisle, lol. East coast long haul trains need full service dining cars. When I work CS trips that stretch between Klamath Falls & Eugene gets me every time, particularly fall & winter. Great to see Suzanne, you two are a comedic duo.
I don't know how this came across my feed but I'm glad it did 😊. Thank you for taking us on this adventure. You guys are great this makes me wanna book a trip to experience this type of adventure! Thank you! 😁 🙌
This was such a treat. I am from San Luis Obispo county but living internationally and road the surfliner back and forth between San Diego to visit my family and SLO. I recognized where all your shots were taken on that leg of the trip, it was such a nostalgic flashback. I may try this train next time
I still don’t know how I found this channel but it’s one of the best travel channels out there and yeah, I never thought about traveling via Amtrak, but I’m strongly considering it because of this…..so, thank you …and on behalf of Amtrak, thank you!
I was born and raised on the central coast in calif, I love our fields and mountains to breathtaking sunsets over the pacific. I love going for drives towards the inland area, looking at farmland. I’m very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. ❤
This trip is definitely on my list of journeys to take. You both made it lots of fun...even with Jeb's floating head in the blooper section....haha. Until next week!
Fab. A girlfriend and myself did the reverse trip a few years ago. We had a bunk room, not good for mature ladies, but so much fun. Staff, food and everything about our train trip, was the absolute highlight of our USA trip. Would do it again in a heartbeat. More train travel trips please.
Love riding the Coast Starlight and the other western long-distance trains. The only negative is that there is no longer the Pacific Parlour car which was awesome and exclusively for sleeping car passengers.
Jeb and Suzanne, Wow another AWESOME video! These new Amtrack videos let people see and share places that we don't think about often. I remember that as a child, my grandmother said how beautiful Oregon is. ( in the days before video in the 1950s she rode Trailways to each state except Alaska) She would love your videos as much as I do. THANK YOU.
I've done that trip many times and it's always wonderful. Friends ask me why I just don't fly. What they'll never understand is the the journey is the destination.
@Ben Luna-Vasquez It depends on starting and end points, as well as couch, business, or First Class. The starting price is $99 couch, but could go to over $600 for first class.
About 10 years ago, my aunt chartered the Silver Solarium train car and we attached to the back of this Amtrak route. We had a private chef and butler. It was a once in a lifetime amazing trip!
If you’re lucky enough to have someone you truly love alongside of you in your travels then you are blessed whether it’s on Amtrak (& I really enjoy Amtrak and trains) or any other place because you get to share your life with someone you truly love!
Hi Jeb and Suzanne. It's great to see another trip together. Suzanne you are getting more and more relaxed as each video comes along. Loved the cabin tour showing all the different moves a couple could do in it. Food looks great, too.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I recently had a dream that my husband and I went on our first train/sleeper ride and enjoyed scenery like what you've shown! You two are amazing! Love your smiles and energy! Glad I found your channel :)
an incredible video as always!! agree that the scenery isn't always 100% magnificent, but i think it's also a unique and important part of taking a journey on amtrak. those are the parts of our country's landscape, outside of mountains and valleys and all the pretty things, that also tell a story. beautiful and interesting stories in their own way. trying to plan an 'all across the country without planes' trip for sometime later in 2023 and i'm definitely adding this one to my list!
I’m new to this channel and I love it. Lovely couple, awesome trips and I do appreciate how much effort goes in to making the videos but also keeping other people out of view as much as possible. Can’t wait to see many more videos!
This train is one of Amtrak's better inventions. They combined one of the Seattle-Portland pool trains with two old Souther Pacific ones, the Cascade (Portland-Oakland), and the Coast Daylight (San Francisco/Oakland-Los Angeles) into the wonderful through train that is now the Coast Starlight.
Loved this video. Have taken trains between Portland and Seattle and Portland and Eugene many times. I’m sad you had to travel through so much smoke in Oregon, and your trip through the Tacoma Narrows and Salish Sea was at night, as those are such gorgeous areas. The full Coast Starlight from LA to Seattle is on my “bucket list” of trips. Will hopefully do it someday soon. Cheers from the PNW! Come back and visit again soon!
Oregon resident here, been to Crater lake a couple times now and it is just jaw dropping, the immense scale of it is incredible and it takes you a step back.. It's definitely a go to place, I love Oregon
I agree! That said, for people who are scared of heights, it may be better to travel the ring road around the lake clockwise, that way, you're on the inside lane of the road.
Great video with one thing missing. The Jeb Score! I even watched the last part again thinking that I missed. I could never afford travel by rail which is why I am so grateful for being able to drive semi over the road for 14 years. I got to see a lot of this country through the windshield of my truck. While not as relaxing as chilling on a train, it is far better than never seeing it at all. I truly love your videos and your great attitude. Keep it up. 😎
I loved the part you tried everything that could be done inside the room! Hahaha. Great video as always, lots of information, quality footage and kind and funny people like you two guys. Greetings from Argentina! 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Flew down to Anaheim from Oakland to take in a couple of Yankee games with my son this summer. 16:37 Took the Coast Starlight back and was a great 13 hours. I was a little concerned , as I was on my own , to be in a communal dining situation but it was actually a wonderful time as you quickly get into a conversation on where you are from and where you are going, and why.
Hi Jeb and Suzanne! Thank you for uploading this video. This video was very informative! Great to know how public transport works in America! Keep up the great work, as always! Best Regards from Florida! ❤
Hi Jeb. I am in NW Florida and we lost our Amtrak service after that terrible unfortunate Sunset Limited accident. I feel terribly for those folks but I still fail to see how a whole section of the Country got excised from the routes because of that. It's been terrible. I have a hard time driving and yet I cannot get a train anywhere near me. I don't need to have to take a bus 500 miles to catch a train. Frankly most bus lines suck. I've missed dozens of trips, weddings and visits to my Northern folks. Flying sucks more every year. I have hoped year after year that they will let the Trains come back. That swamp thing was a one off. We hear rumors that we will be included back soon. I hope so. I'm getting in my senior years now and having a train like most the rest of the country would help us a lot to travel again. Bless.
I live in San Luis Obispo and we've taken the train to Santa Barbara and San Diego with our children. Those routes were fun but familiar scenery for us as we commute alongside the tracks. This video has convinced me to take the train to Seattle as a new experience and cheap/relaxing way to spend a couple days.
I've been on the coast Starlight a couple of times starting from my home in San Diego; the furthest North I've ever been however was Sacramento. I loved every moment. I booked a roomette both times since I was traveling as a single girl, and both of my trips were so very memorable. Both were pre-covid, so I got the full Coast Starlight experience. I wish the two of you many more wonderful memories on America's railways!
I took the Coast Starlight around seven years ago. This brought back some great memories. I especially liked passing through Vendenburg AFB along the cost. The highway goes around the base but the train went through it. I also had access to the Pacific Parlor car on my trip and did wine tasting in it while traveling. I really loved that car. It was reserved for sleepinng car passengers only unlikie the observation car. I also saw snow when we entered Oregon due to the time of year I traveled. Just a great trip and memories.
Loved this video. You guys traveled through my hometown(s). I recognized that stretch in Ventura County - Oxnard/Ventura and that gorgeous section along the ocean between Ventura and Santa Barbara. That's also a gorgeous stretch to take by car - US Route 101 also hugs the coast in that area.
I took the coast starlight back in 2016 from Santa Barbara to Davis, CA. Certainly saw some beautiful coastline and found it to be way better than taking a greyhound.
Suzanne and Jeb…another well done video. Your overnight experience was similar to our on the CZ just prior to Thanksgiving 2021. Track was so rough overnight that I swore to not travel Amtrak again! Since then we did EB round-trip plus one-way to Albuquerque. The CS in on our bucket list. Nice to see the prunes made their Amtrak appearance. Also, the menus seemed very different from CZ, EB and SWC. Happy travels!
I was on this route in October of 2019. Beautiful scenery, wonderful ride and encountered wildfire smoke headed into Los Angeles. You're right, Jeb, very acrid smell.
I love that you are very honest about your experience even if there is something that may not be the best, but you still humble by the overall experience. You both are adorable. Continue great work. You are 1 of the main reason I have decided to begin traveling by train. Thanks
What a beautifully done vlog! I live outside Canby, OR and hear that and the sister-ship going through Hubbard, Aurora, Canby and then to Oregon City. So cool to come across this tonight! I'm stopped for a train...and its one of the Amtraks going through and I always think I should book a train trip!
The main thing I remember from my Coast Starlight adventure from LA to Portland was that it was one of the worst nights of sleep that I ever had. I was on the top bunk and I constantly felt like I was going to be thrown off the edge.
I highly recommend going to Crater Lake. I live in Newcastle, UK but when we visited the Pacific West Coast in 2019, we visited SF, Crater Lake, Portland, Kalaloch Washington Coast, Seattle, Vancouver and Victoria. The walk to Crater Lake was tiringly steep but short and instantly rewarding to dip into the ice cold lake in the hot summer sun. The views were incredible and certainly a memorable experience.
I've traveled up north via Amtrak on this train, and into Santa Barbara on the Surf Liner from Union Station many times. I prefer to take the train into SB. Also traveled from NY into DC by train. As a kid, my mom would take us into San Diego from Union Station. My kids still enjoy a train ride as adults. It is truly a wonderful experience, relax and enjoy the ride!
IF you decided to take this trip, I’d suggest for you to book the private room with the sleeping bed like Jeb did. Don’t book the regular seats because they were VERY uncomfortable. I booked the regular seats for me, the hubby and two friends and it was the biggest mistake. I couldn’t sleep and it was so cold I forgot to bring blankets with me. Took this trip from SoCal to Seattle. The views along the way were sooo gorgeous. You can bring foods and drinks onboard. I had burgers at the restaurant and it was just ok. Overall I would highly recommend. I had a great time. But was beyond ecstatic that I flew home and not taking the train back to Cali.
Dude, I really enjoy watching your videos but this one hit real close to home! Born and raised in Eugene it was fun to see you stop there but the ride along the Willamette River was so so neat. I have camped up that river so many times in my lifetime and to see familiar river spots and such was a joy. Come back soon when there isn't as much smoke uhhgg. Keep up the great traveling videos and thanks for the great scenes. Hey hit me up next time!
Hi Jeb and Suzanne . Thank you for sharing your experience on the Coast Starlight. Having ridden this route for both business and leisure, this route is stunning, especially during the winter when it snows north of Redding CA. The tracks north of Martinez are somewhat rough and noticeable north of Sacramento. I too had trouble sleeping south of Redding. Burbank Airport is so easily accessible from the Amtrak and Metrolink. Intresting fact, Amtrak also operates the Metrolink trains. They’ve had the Metrolink contract since the previous operator, Veolia, lost the contract after that Terrible Chatsworth collision.
Hi, From the East Coast but lived in the West for 25 years before moving back. Traveled to Crater Lake twice. Camped once and once a day trip. Definitely worth a trip. If you get a chance, stay in the restored lodge there. The history and geology are spectacular and the blue of the water is nothing you have ever seen. Great hiking. Make sure to hike down to the water and take the boat tour on the lake as well.
Great video! SO glad you were able to experience the Coast Starlight, truly great views! I'm surprised the East Coast doesn't have the traditional dining menu, but hope it returns back soon. Food looked really great this time around!
I enjoyed this route as much as you. Between 2001 and 2013 in 5 weekend to weekend trips I rode all the AMTRAK rail west of St. Louis / Chicago. I did the Coast Starlight in 2 sections on those trips once the Bay area to L.A. and once the Bay area to Seattle. I also liked the ocean views of the Surfliner riding back and forth between L.A. and San Diego part of finsihing up the routes to include the Sunset Limitied and Texas Eagle back home. L.A. Union station is neat and I got to know and like a Mexican restaurant across the street on Olvera street. There are however many homeless there, which is sad. The Pacific views of the Coast Starlight are special and the golden mountanis around San Luis Obispo were a hightlieht along with waking up after just passing Mount Shasta. You were lucky the forest fires did not disrupt your trip. Once I was lucky to have been the last train to pass through one day as the fire was getting too close to the track. My wife went once on a trip and it was not for her having trouble sleeping and just too much rail time. For me, these trips were a great adventure to see The West. Good video.
A couple of tips for union station: take one of the commuter trains into the station if you are departing from there. I take the gold line, and avoid the traffic, and the high cost of parking. The gold line runs frequently, so it's a great low-cost option. Another tip is to hit Phillipes across the street for one of LA's iconic French dip sandwiches and a piece of pie.
I would love to take this train trip! I'm newly retired & live in San Diego. I think I would go one way and then fly home. Thanks for taking us along! I saw many familiar sites as I'm originally from Northern California and was in Central California for a decade.
Road Amtrak from Union station to Escondido California when I bought my motorcycle. Still one of my favorite journey’s. I remember getting into the rail zone, it was my first train ride as an adult, and now I wish I could travel by train only. That day was special because I got to watch the ocean, have internet, relax and take it all in and then I got to ride the coast back up in my Motorcyle. A favorite memory for sure.
What a great video. It takes a transfer but I HIGHLY suggest taking the Pacific Surfliner from San Diego up to LA Union, great views of the Pacific Coast.
The track is always rough on the old Western Pacific line between Sacramento to Marysville. The old Southern Pacific track is smooth as glass. Both lines are now owned by Union Pacific
Thanks for sharing this video. I went on a Coast Starlight train as well, but from Seattle to LA. The ride was amazing, the weather was not. It happened in October 2021 when we were stuck in the middle of the storm for four hours because of the downed tree along the tracks. The food was amazing, definitely much better offerings than in the air. I want to come back to Coast Starlight again and try the other way because I missed the beach sightings on the way to LA thanks to the delay that I mentioned earlier.
Thank you for this video. I've been dreaming of this Sun Coast Amtrak trip for about 6 years now. I'm hoping to go this year in Oct/Nov 2023. I'm traveling as a solo woman so this video was really helpful since it will be my first trip on Amtrak as well. Thanks again. 💯🤞🏾
I lived in Oregon most of my life. Eugene then Albany which you both mentioned. A friend and I many years ago took a train up to Seattle. The train station in Seattle is beautiful. I love going down to the pier.
Great video. I ran this train as an engineer for years. Never was tired of looking at the coast whether it was a sunny day, foggy day or at night.
Hey, Jim...thank you for your safe service...as passengers depended on your expertise. Easy breezy thoughts your way. M looking to travel this line....
@Vik if you layover at SB or anywhere else the ticketing is called a stopover..I have a free lifetime pass. Didn't realize it was $1400 ! Yokes
@zoner $ 1400 one way. ?
@Alejandro Flores one way
@zoner Thank you. Anyway
I think Jeb, Suzanne, and this channel have done more to increase Amtrak ridership than anything else in recent memory. Trains are cool again! Full observation car? Victim of your own success! Thanks for the great content you two.
@Heru Ammen that's the problem with content creators. Everyone wants to be like them and businesses aren't prepared for it.

Your dad worked as a porter from age 7 - 14? Impressive. Best I could do was a paper route.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Pert Em Rhu~~!!
I once in 2005 did that route from Oakland to L.A to El Paso Tx. It is a beautiful trip I’ll never forget

The "is this room big enough" segment is a cute change of pace, but it's actually also really useful to get a functional idea of the space.
Nope
You two are so lovely together
My husband and I, along with two of our adult children took this train trip back in 2006 as part of our first vacation to the USA. Hi! Would you suggest a seat cushion for this trip?
Jeb and Suzanne, I think this is one of your best videos. I felt like I was right there with you. The Coast Starlight is one of my dream trips. Thanks for sharing this with us!

The Pacific Surfliner runs over the same track that they took from LA to San Luis Obispo, just missed the part from LA to San Diego.

It’s always wild to hear Ridgecrest, CA. Such a small place. Did a lot of my growing up there

Just booked this trip for me and my husband to celebrate my birthday in 2023. I never would have known about this route if it wasn't for you Jeb. Love the videos. Keep them coming!
@?UpChuck? Have you checked the Amtrak website? I think you'll find prices there.
Hi I’m havin*a tough time finding ticket prices. What did you pay for your trip for two? If I may ask.
Happy (early) birthday!
There is lower level seating and near restrooms.
The Handicap room has ample room even for wheelchair, and meal service. ( retired Amtrak)
@Jeb Brooks how much was the ticket sir?
A post-push-up hand wash is key. Thanks for watching and hope to see you onboard!!
I'm a Pacific Northwest trucker and I happened upon this video while catching a break in Chemult OR. I honestly had no idea Amtrak ran through here!
How much is it?
I love seeing the “Travel Time” getting wrist time. Another relaxing and fun train ride with you both.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I recently had a dream that my husband and I went on our first train/sleeper ride and enjoyed scenery like what you've shown! You two are amazing! Love your smiles and energy! Glad I found your channel :)
Hi Jeb, I am absolutely loving these train videos. As much as I love planes, I am a huge train fan and would love to see mote
an incredible video as always!!
agree that the scenery isn't always 100% magnificent, but i think it's also a unique and important part of taking a journey on amtrak. those are the parts of our country's landscape, outside of mountains and valleys and all the pretty things, that also tell a story. beautiful and interesting stories in their own way. trying to plan an 'all across the country without planes' trip for sometime later in 2023 and i'm definitely adding this one to my list!
I’m new to this channel and I love it. Lovely couple, awesome trips and I do appreciate how much effort goes in to making the videos but also keeping other people out of view as much as possible. Can’t wait to see many more videos!
I really enjoy Jebs train reports and look forward to him travelling again. Keep up the good work Jeb.
Always love these videos even if they aren’t on a plane. Thanks for sharing these epic train journeys with us!
Thank you Jeb, your videos are always a breath of fresh air, and today it helped me get in a much better mood
Thank you for taking us with you on this trip. Most enjoyable. 👍🏼
I took the coast starlight back in 2016 from Santa Barbara to Davis, CA. Certainly saw some beautiful coastline and found it to be way better than taking a greyhound.
Yo, looks like an epic journey!! Love your travels Jeb!
Our one and only train trip was on this route from Portland to LA and back again. This is a stunning trip and it makes me want so much to do it again.
Thanks
i am a train conductor and this is really exciting to see! thank you very much for making this:)
You guys are the best. This trip looks so relaxing. Been watching for a couple of years and I always loves your Amtrak videos.
I’m envious of your guys’ travels together. It’s a beautiful thing. Wish I had that.
I've taken this route multiple times, most recently this last June. It really is a lovely trip, and isn't too bad even in coach!
I love watching your videos whether you're on the ground or in the air 😊❤
Hi,
From the East Coast but lived in the West for 25 years before moving back.
I did this exact trip in 2010. One of the best experiences in my life!
Good video.
Growing up in India, my Dad used to work in railways so i got to travel a lot in train. This LA to Seattle is definitely in my bucket list.
I took Amtrak train twice before from Los Angeles to Chicago. It was such experience & fun too! You get to see the country. Loved it!
Jeb, you should do a train journey and vlog in India, on a long haul route. It will be a surreal experience. :)
Great video!
So happy to ignore reality and travel vicariously with you two! Such informative fun!!
Jeb you and your lady friend really brighten up my days every time I watch your excellent videos. Please keep up your great work.🤠
What a great video. It takes a transfer but I HIGHLY suggest taking the Pacific Surfliner from San Diego up to LA Union, great views of the Pacific Coast.
That was going to be my comment also. The stretch in Southern Orange County is great!
The track is always rough on the old Western Pacific line between Sacramento to Marysville. The old Southern Pacific track is smooth as glass. Both lines are now owned by Union Pacific
Crater lake is stunning. I would definitely recommend visiting, along with the infinite beautiful sites that Oregon has to offer :)
Long long long time California resident. It is so beautiful to experience the views we often take for granted with you. It really is a special place.
@Davor Lekenik Mostly in municipalities - light rail and the like as opposed to long distance.
@Jeb Brooks in 🇺🇸 you don't have electrificated rail ??
Thanks for watching! This rail journey highlights some of the best views in California!!
Suzanne really brings an extra level of awesome to the videos
Thanks for sharing this video. I went on a Coast Starlight train as well, but from Seattle to LA. The ride was amazing, the weather was not. It happened in October 2021 when we were stuck in the middle of the storm for four hours because of the downed tree along the tracks. The food was amazing, definitely much better offerings than in the air. I want to come back to Coast Starlight again and try the other way because I missed the beach sightings on the way to LA thanks to the delay that I mentioned earlier.
Love Jeb's excitement... So genuine.. The biggest smile.. Warms my heart... Suzanne, you're cool as well..❤
This seems like such an amazing time for you guys. I always love when you post.
San Diego to LA is such a stunning train ride (mostly along the beach) I take that ride often.
Great video Jeb. I have taken this train from San Diego all the way to Oxnard. The view on the coastline is amazing.
I lived in Oregon most of my life. Eugene then Albany which you both mentioned. A friend and I many years ago took a train up to Seattle. The train station in Seattle is beautiful. I love going down to the pier.
