i needed to watch this today. I admire her since I was 9 years old, I admire her for a lot of things. I thought the main reason was because of her music and her talent. But I learned that why I admire her the most is because of what all she said in this interview and all the mental health activism that she’s done and she’s doing. I love you Stephanie.

Cutting happens because physical pain and emotional pain cannot exist at the same time. Something my child’s therapist taught us is instead of cutting have her stick her hands in a bowl of ice because it has the same effect. This was genius! Years of going to the Dr and in and out of therapy we never received a simple answer that was so powerful. Also helping your child understand why they do it helps as well because sometimes they don’t know. Gaga explained it well when she said “ Tell me, don’t show me”. Often times your child is just trying to show you they are hurting. Also I learned that if they cut in certain places it’s because of certain trauma they have been through so please keep a close eye and get involved. It’s not just for attention and it’s not just a phase. I’m really grateful they talked about this!

Huh...this is another explanation why ice baths help so many random inexplicable symptoms. You may want to try ice baths for your daughter.

I love the way that Oprah does her interviews; the questions that She asks. They're specific, on topic...and I love that she doesn't read question after question from a card...it's like she's curious to know more. And she LISTENS. Beautiful interview.

Gog is my special sister. I too have fibromyalgia. And I think we’ve had about the same time. Period when she started talking about her body hurting did her there and there and then it was never so consistent really gave me some new breath. She made me feel like I was not crazy. She made me happy to be alive. It’s difficult to get up and know each day that whether you were going to be able to handle the day or not. Some days you were so tired and expend that you just want to lay in bed and sleep. That pretty much equals a no cold day then there are the days when you wake up and you feel not so bad but you have a tooth that’s bugging you and it won’t stop bugging you and now it’s good it’s whole center of evil in your brain and you can’t kick it so there go to family dinner. Or you could have a hip ache which makes it very difficult of you to get up and down. Difficult to move a bed around without a limp which is noticeable and you know other people notice you and makes you uncomfortable. There is our days and I probably you will not believe me but there are days where my hair hurts I’ve had my toes hurt I have the insides of my elbows hurt I’ve had my neck hurt in such a state that I went and had a fusion on my neck I have two shoulders that are not cooperating and starting to hurt quite badly so the list goes on. It took me four years to find out what was wrong with my body. I went from surgeon to surgeon to surgeon. I finally found a rheumatologist in Seattle who gave me the reason to why I was having such crazy responses OK so you get that crazy response and here’s what happens and then what are you supposed to do. How are you, sitting out in the field, nothing to help you but a bunch of grass and a little creek. I wish people would write more about the after facts of having fibromyalgia diagnosed they need to know about their bodies. What they are going to live with in the next 3 to 4 decades. And sometimes not even knowing what those resolves might be. Keep a happy face gaga. I think of you often.

I feel like I had psychotic break recently as a result of something triggering past trauma. I relate to the dissociation she talks about. It takes work to be present but it is worth it. I’m still practicing staying present. I love when Lady Gaga says, let’s be radical. Let’s change the world! (As a PhD in psych) i agree that psychiatrists are an important part of a health team but unfortunately, there are so many communities across the county that don’t have enough or any psychiatrists or even enough doctors. Omg this is exactly what happened to me it started feb 15th 2019. I went through a psychotic break yelling at doctors asking them why does know one else see how much pain I was in. My neurologist laughed at me and said I was making things up I just wanted to get a check. I felt like my family turned there back on me I was in a dark hole. When i looked in the mirror I didn’t notice the person I was looking at, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia on my bday dec 11 2019. I have been trying to educate people on fibromyalgia I call it my invisible disease i have had for over 20 years and because there is no way to detect it so I have keep this pain to myself for years until my brain couldn’t take anymore. It’s a of work trying to keep on track this interview helped me feel like I’m not alone. Thank you 💜💜💜💜

I’m so glad that you are doing this I was saying we need more help when it comes to mental health. Giving everyone the tools to recognize if someone is crying out for help even when they are not saying it out of there mouth. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 and I have been seeing a therapist and I’m on meds. I just recently lost my son to Suicide 2/23/22 he was only 22 and he has 2 boys and one on the way. I’m helping with the boys as much as I can. This is so hard for me because I’m always in pain and my mental has been off but learning how to recognize my triggers and realizing when I am in a bad mood and try to turn it around💜💜💜

There's a lot of positivity you can learn from her
But people chose to look on the negativity. That tells a lot about people's upbringing. And honestly those people need help

Hearing Lady Gaga reading her commitment aloud made me cry. Bless her for doing everything in her power to make a better world and to improve studies on mental health. This interview has been such a blessing for me. I also had a breakdown 3 years ago, and I'm slowly trying to rebuild. I went through something similar, feeling pain and doctors finding nothing wrong with me, although hers might have been more severe. I feel better now physically, thank God. I thank God for leading me to this interview because I admire Lady Gaga for her courage to fight and to keep going in spite of the pain and telling me it's okay to be where I am now. I admire her for the way she prays to God. She's also such a kind and sweet woman. God bless you, Stefani Germanotta.

Lady Gaga was never on my radar beyond music until I saw her Act and then I saw her documentaries. She's fantastic and inspiring. I feel like I was the one discovering her. Silly as that may sound, it's a deep-rooted feeling I've only felt one other time and that was with Princess Diana. LG will stay with me...

I like her cause she is who she is ... nothing fake about her and my fav songs by her was on the soundtrack a star is born ... ❤️ songs with feeling ... she did really good for herself and awesome for her ... she worked hard to be where she is today and I like how she is a good role model and try’s to raise awareness about mental health and other things that don’t really get talked about enough ...makes folks feel like they can relate to her ... thanks for talking about things that are hard to talk about cause someone else is going through that and may feel alone and needs to hear it

Finally someone is coming forward to explain these things, erasing the stigma, and letting people know there is help without shame. So many people live with the stigma and shame and suffer through it alone. The only thing I would say is that each persons needs and treatments will be different.
