Watching Ren and Etho struggle to think of the word for a guy living on his own away from other people... just one lone villager... a dude by himself...living alone... the lone ice villager... If only there was a word they used all the time to describe such a person.

Hi Ren :) The Cristmas gift was the gift to Pixlriffs from Ijevin :)
You need the green and red wool to info the players to follow the right way in that ice boat race. You need to have the green wool to your right, and the red to your left. The same rules as on the sea, when you'r entering a habour or a canal. :) ( i can tell you as a formerly employed in the Danish merchant navy back in the early 80' ). :)

    • Choco1og
      Choco1og Ай бұрын

Hi @rendog; I think this boat race idea is epic. But there is something that could revolutionise it. You see in Mario Kart Tour and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC, the route for each city track is slightly different each lap. I understand that Speedy Pines 2 will be one huge track of one lap but it can be even more exiting if each time the course is played, T- junctions in the course could revert between right and left to take you down a different route each time. Hope this is an awesome comment !!!
Also, if this comment is so good and you want to use it in the race, please put my comment in the video for a shoutout !

@Felix Irgendson i like that idea a lot. Not everything has to be a throwback. And oh yearh, i live in a small country neighboring Germany, so we have some localised names for places in Germany, and that threw me a off bit. But you're 100% correct, its Nürburg ring. Thanks. 😊👍

You can do "multiple courses" just like many actual circuit do, where you can have certain loops opening and allow you to do different variations. You can even make a "hunt" the check points map where people need to find the right trail.

      Family_of_Fair Ай бұрын +2

I also was thinking along similar lines. Maybe because of the Christmas present maze but I was thinking the boat course could be a type of maze as well. I was also thinking that each section (A, B, C, and D) of the course could have a “token” that needs to be found before moving on to the next section.

This rare, uncut footage of you and Etho just brainstorming together makes for an awesome video! I haven't had such an experience since Cub & Scar worked together getting the "Mattress Store Matador" ravager in a tree. 😊
Now is the time for Etho to make an ice farm and Ren to start making the maps. You can both use the existing portals in the area and probably will have to make some of your own. (Then there's the whole updating the Nether Hub, too!) This could possibly be the first true "Giga-build" that doesn't require even a "mega-build" amount of resources.
Finally, Beef will probably be willing to buy the mini-blocks from you. He sells them in his TCG store.

23:10 The area is big enough for several track, with diferent chalenge levels. (this specific biome is hard level)
Don't build too much, so it's easier to change up the tracks, maybe just add floating "checkpoints", like 2 sticks, that look green from the correct direction & looks red from the wrong direction?
*Sticks:* 2x1, eg 5 high? floating eg. 2 blocks over the ground, so they don't impede the movements of the race. (or a horizontal bar hovering over the track, easier to see)

I'm so excited for this project. Have you guys thought about instead of making one gigantic track, make a series of courses, like a Mario Kart circuit? Then the hermits can choose to either race a single track or you can have full tournaments. So one open lake track, one rivers and mountain track, one cave track, one ocean track with the polar bears and open water traps. (So driving your boat into the water will be like falling of the track in Mario Kart) The hermits might use the tracks more often if they don't feel obligated to commit to one gigantic track.

That ice track will be so cool! Call me selfish but now I can't wait for them to be done with the track, and be done with the season, so I can download the map and ride the track.

I'm glad Etho went to Ren to build the Track if he went to BDubs then the game would never be done by the end of the season 😂
Joking aside I'm beyond excited for this Artificial Ice Races are always very tiny this is going to be Bonknanas

There are many things I will be watching for. One I’m looking forward to is seeing you and “EthoSlab’s” progress on the track then watching the races. Hopefully you will be inviting the “Emperors” to race with you. At the moment I am watching for any and all POVs of the Hermitcraft TCG. I play Pokémon TCG with my kids, niece and nephew. So the Hermitcraft TCG has been one of many highlights of season 9. I kinda want Season 9 to go on forever it’s been so much fun following all the Hermits.

You guys could make a really big course and section it off into multiple smaller circuits - so if you want, you can do the shorter quicker race, or else some sort of barriers go down or something and connects multiple circuits together and you can do the epic finale

Light it up & set up an elytra speed-flying course, no obstacles, just get through the cave system (longest route possible) as fast as possible. :D
(Make a competition (with some reward), entry fee for the competition is X amount of diamonds. Unlimited amount of tries) (but tactically wait until after the TCG hype dies down first)

Need for speed: There is a large city with multiple interconnecting roads, but for an individual race, they put up a few barriers with arrows to present a curated race in a subset of the city. I think that format would fit perfectly for this race track. Make a ton of really long interconnected roads, but take small sections for races throughout the season (and as you're building the rest), and then at the end of the season, make a track that has ALL THE ROADS!

Guys, this project will be awesome in all the right ways! But you'll need a ton of manpower, and I mean, like a TON-A-LOT. Also, check the Christmas track the Empires people built for a minigame if you can. Cheers!

For the ice tracks, since it’s very large u can make each section have their own race to the next one and the finish line. That way hermits can choose whether they want to race a section or the entire track.

so idea for the track: pop up walls. they might have to be down by two blocks so a boat can go over them easily (might need to test). this way you can a.) work on the track in sections and b.) customize the track if desired. add in some similar walls around that aren't solid and boom! there's the layout of the track

@bsidethebox i was thinking a bit more manual maintance but it's really up to them how they want to do it. I don't think getting doc into the mix would be a good idea. Doc, Etho...yeah...they're in an anvil war atm.

If you're planning on timing runs on the course, place a chunk loader at the start/end adjacent to the timer. Otherwise the racers will likely move too far away to keep the timing dropper within simulation distance. Totally looking forward to what you an Etho come up with.❤

I really enjoyed this episode!! The slowed down and in depth chat about the course was really relaxing to watch. I don’t normally comment but I love this style of video and your personality shines through with it ren❤
