It wasn't the dialogue that blew me away in the Thor: Ragnarok arena scene. I was blown away by Thor's ridiculously excited reaction when he saw that it was Hulk, paired with Loki's terrified face. It was priceless.
@Graveyard Fox i didn't want to watch Infinity war so I asked my classmates to spoil the movie, or maybe it was endgame? Idk, it gives off the same vibe lol
I want more movies to be like Thor: Ragnarok. The director gives the actors a basic plot/scene synopsis and their characters and then the actors just improvise half of everything.
I’m sorry but ‘get help’ being improvised is the funniest thing I can imagine just: Hemsworth: “let’s do get help” Hiddleston, immediate aggressive confusion:
I think what happens with improvised scenes is that the actors improvise while filming, then if the scene doesn’t work with the improv, like the other actors don’t cooperate or something, they’ll reshoot with the improvised lines. I thought of this when Dave Batista improvised, “I’ll do you one better! Why is Gamora!” Why would the directors have a camera pointed at Dave if he didn’t have any pre-planned lines
Yeah like how tf did they come up with that , it looks they have done it like a thousand times , I imagine the crew while filming being like : wait what tf is get help ?
I’m sorry, but one person mentioned “I am Groot” and another “I am Groot” but BOTH of those were scripted. But in Vol 2. when he said “I am Groot” was improvised ON THE SPOT. I’m not sure about “I am Groot” tho.
For me it's funny bec I was watching with my sister and at the very moment before Loki came we had this conversation Me : wait a sec , is Loki still falling ? Sister: well if he is than he has been falling for half an hour The Loki said the line and we both stared at each other like 👁👄👁
so all you've got to do to get a good scene: 1) put tom holland and rdj together 2) give everyone but these two a script 2) put thor in the background being attacked by a snake 3) add Dave Batista standing behind them so incredibly still _you cant see him._
"He's a friend from work" is one of my favorite single lines in the MCU. Pretty incredible considering its source. That was surprising lol. It really was a perfect line for Hemsworth. I can imagine Stark saying it, but it wouldn't have been quite as perfect as it was for Hemsworth's Thor.
I understand that many actors do not watch the finished film (with the CGI &SFX) Like they are tired of acting. I would have thought that would have ADDED to the character thus making more better of an actor? Being hung on strings or on a sawhorse in front of a GREEN SCREEN lacks something for the actor.
Robert: I have hidden snacks in place you can't find Everyone: WHERE TF ARE THEY??? Robert: Wanna blueberry? Chris: Where tf did you- I'm not gonna ask
Nobody could’ve played Ant Man but Paul Rudd. No one could’ve made it work. That man is super underrated as an actor. He’s so versatile. Action, Comedy, Drama.
She is 3weeks from now. People think she is 7 weeks from now as Groot stated in Vol. 2 but that “I am Groot line was improvised and false. It is confirmed in Endgame that she is in fact 3 weeks from now.
I knew that and the line made sense anyway....knowing it was improvised just makes it a bit funnier; now I have to call Martin Freeman "the other broken white boy" for my mom to know who I'm talking about
Chris Hemsworth: and what do you think I should say when I see the Hulk. Kid: “he’s a friend from work” Chris: yes, I like that. Ima use that. That’s so sweet I love it.
The scene where they need help, but Thor threw Loki at the guards? So hilarious! I think I had to pause the movie to finish laughing, lol. “The last time I saw him, Ultron was sitting on him” lmaaaaao 😂😂😂
Still and all, it goes to show that Thor was INDEED a schmuck. If say HE was eight, Loki certainly was not bc HE’S OLDER THAN LOKI. Basically, it’s not a difficult concept, they can’t both be eight at the same time. (I’m not just saying that - it’s in the comics & it’s mentioned early on in the original Thor movie.) If Googled, it explains that in the comics “Asgardians live for about 5,000 years and Loki's only been around for 1,070 of those years, which, relative to humans, makes him about 21.4 years old. Thor, on the other hand, is 1,500 years old, which makes him about 30 years old in human years.” Obviously Marvel wasn’t going for an 8-9 year gap between brothers so it appeared more like 2 (3 at the most extreme, possibly 1 ½ .) So one of them is eight & the other is about six OR ten, depending on which one was truly eight at the time. Possibly Loki isn’t just laughing about the trick but about his brother’s stupidity. Thor can be bright, but compared to Loki, he appears simple, sort of like a short bus child who has the ability to fight REALLY REALLY WELL. Indeed, Loki might be laughing at all three of them for not seeing the fundamental problem in the story Thor is telling them. He truly is the God of Mischief!! 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
RDJ and Tony Stark, two of the best people in the universe One is a millionaire, a genius, a legend. He's Iron Man. He can think on his feet, he is overall incredible. He has literally saved the world. The other is Tony Stark.
Downey knew what he was doing with the snacks. It's a subtle yet genius element of film making. If you show your character doing things the viewer is familiar with, they instantly familiarise with that character. Downey was basically giving a non-verbal confirmation with a visual reference that these superheroes are essentially just like you.
Warren Albert You’re not the first to say that. I just want you to know that. Unless you’re that same guy. By the way, I’m probably going to change it soon. Eventually, your comment will have no meaning...
Flo I think that’s subjective. While RDJ/IM happens to be, far and away, my fav character in the Marvel Universe, I adore Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki and Ragnorak (IMPO) was filled w hilarious lines from start to finish. And while I like looking at Chris Hemsworth in a superficial manner, I truly didn’t care all that much about Thor until that 3rd film. In fact, I wasn’t really a Hulk fan either, so the film itself (again, IMO) was pretty amazing to hold my attention thru one character I truly like, Jeff Goldblum, and (apparently) 80% improv of the script. (Oh yes, I almost forgot, a short but amusing scene w Benedict Cumberbatch whom I also love, albeit, not bc of his portrayal,of Dr. Strange.)
My favorite improvised scene wasn't actually in the movie, but rather in the extras. In Guardians of the Galaxy, Ronin and Quill face off at the end of the movie, but in this outtake, when Quill challenges Ronin to a dance off, Ronin yells "It's on!" and the characters all start dancing. I've read that this was to prank Dave Bautista, but he went right along with it.
I loved how they added that into the Loki series, as if throwing down mugs was indeed an Asgardian custom and apparently they had infinite amounts of mugs, cups, plates, whatever to throw about should the occasion call for it! 😂😂
Did you know? While filming Avengers: Infinity War, an actual alien invasion happened on the set. However, actors led by Chris Evans took up their arms, guns and shields and repelled the alien invasion. This moment was totally unscripted and shows how the actors basically live the lives of their characters even while shooting is stopped. A truly iconic moment in the history of cinematography.
@Mine Crawl Tom Holland is a way better spiderman and captures every quirky thing about him that makes him lovable. Tobey was awkward, not likable. Too serious and dry.
idk how antman and the guardians movies didn’t do as well, and had low expectations. they were some of my favorites, and the characters were so funny and crucial to infinity war and endgame :(
4:05 Star-Lord’s turn to be “explained” is just great. 5:18 As well as Hawkeye joking about Quicksilver. And ofc you have to love all of Tom Holland and RDJ’s improvisations. 6:049:4914:22 ❤️💙🤍🖤🕸🕷

The "Why is Gamora?" scene was improvised?! Jeez, I thought for certain that was just really well-scripted, that was my favorite scene in Infinity War lol
So you’re telling me that one of the most iconic scenes in hemsworth’s movie Thor was improvised and NO one knew about it? I’m shooketh. That’s my SCENE SON 💜 😭 😂
No fue el diálogo lo que me impactó en la escena de la arena de Thor: Ragnarok. Me quedé impresionado por la reacción ridículamente emocionada de Thor cuando vio que era Hulk, junto con la cara aterrorizada de Loki. No tenía precio.
so basically all of the lines that actually show who the characters are, what they are feeling, and how they are thinking are all improvised and not from the scripts. sounds accurate.
um... Captain America? Pretty sure who he is and how he got his powers, in the mcu, are taught in history books. Actually, with only a couple exceptions, the Avengers in the MCU are known commodities.
The fact that rdj is the one who improvised the most proves the fact why iron man was chosen to do the snap in endgame.. Also the tom holland and rdj thing :') man.. We're going to miss that so much
Did you know that the “I don’t want to go” lines were improvised by Tom Holland, because he thought that this was gonna be the last MCU movie he was going to be in.
In Endgame we see clearly much of its scenes weren't scripted. Glad the directors and producers made the rightful decision to not cut these unique moments from the film.
My dad hugged a friend of his because he thought that that's what his bud was doing, in reality his friend was turning off a light and my dad was in the way. That hug with Peter and Tony reminded me of that.
There’s no doubting it Robert Downey Jr. that I love you 3000 line makes me cry every time and he does so much improvising he’s great at in fact he’s always so good at it that I think he’s literally being himself not acting

Disney plus is trash
The crew loved it so much that they filmed the scene with her "stroking Steve". Huh are we still talking bout marvel
Ryan George I challenge you to a war of imagination
I’m pretty sure that Robert Downey Jr doesn’t even read his script
Pretty sure he doesn't need to. All he has to do is be himself.
Agreed
WHATS A SCRIPT. ??????
@Juan Tony true
Yeah it rediculous
It wasn't the dialogue that blew me away in the Thor: Ragnarok arena scene. I was blown away by Thor's ridiculously excited reaction when he saw that it was Hulk, paired with Loki's terrified face. It was priceless.

blame copyright :/
probably for copyright claims, sadly.
I know right! Its absolutely amazing and not the most annoying and hated thing ever...
"I am groot" was improvised but "I am groot" wasn't, common mistake
@Master XD r/wooosh
@CrazyYellowShadow no problem
@ParadoxBoi Wait, really?! That makes the scene ten times better. Oh, thank you for telling me this.
@CrazyYellowShadow I am groot was also improvised
I’m sorry, but one person mentioned “I am Groot” and another “I am Groot” but BOTH of those were scripted. But in Vol 2. when he said “I am Groot” was improvised ON THE SPOT. I’m not sure about “I am Groot” tho.
"Why is Gamorra" is the part that made me laugh for over 10 minutes. It's the funniest line in ALL marvel films

Idk if it’s just me but that’s really not funny to me, that line is just weird like I feel like it’s comedy made for people

Everyone’s talking about:
Where is Gamora?
Who is Gamora?
Why is Gamora?
Even How is Gamora?
But the real question is...
When is Gamora?
Dead is Gamora.
How is Gamora should be the actual main question bc bitch is dead.
How is gamora?
Why IS gamora tho
She is 3weeks from now. People think she is 7 weeks from now as Groot stated in Vol. 2 but that “I am Groot line was improvised and false. It is confirmed in Endgame that she is in fact 3 weeks from now.
When Shuri said “Yay another broken white bit for us to fix!” When she said another she was talking about Bucky in Civil war.
I knew that and the line made sense anyway....knowing it was improvised just makes it a bit funnier; now I have to call Martin Freeman "the other broken white boy" for my mom to know who I'm talking about
“Without the MCU, what would ScreenRant be?”
I could not have said it better
You can say this to the other 2.8 billion KZclip channels and Endgame theory websites
i think they forgot "without the MCU AND redditors"
Chris Hemsworth: and what do you think I should say when I see the Hulk.
Kid: “he’s a friend from work”
Chris: yes, I like that. Ima use that.
That’s so sweet I love it.
I’m pretty sure Robert Downey Jr is just Tony Stark improvising
LOL
@Hero Ball Why?
Too bad you’re about 11 years late on this comment.
Kyle Nelson yeah because slavery happened so the other way around would be offensive lol
I met him in nobu malibu last year i can say hes stark.
The scene where they need help, but Thor threw Loki at the guards? So hilarious! I think I had to pause the movie to finish laughing, lol.
“The last time I saw him, Ultron was sitting on him” lmaaaaao 😂😂😂
Best improvised script was “I Love You 3000” the movie wouldn’t be the same without it!
I wonder if the line Thor had in Endgame where he told Frigga "I'm totally from the future" was improvised? That was my favorite.
*"Tom Holland's hug wasnt in the original script, we thought It'd be funny to embrace **_browney_** as he reached across"*
yes because it is robert downey= browney
Hermione Granger 2020 he said “Browney” because thats what the video said. 😆 It was on purpose.
swarna sagi yeah they already know that genius
Ashton The Marvel Stan it’s downey
"Where's is gamora"
"Yeah i am gonna do one better"
"Who is gamora"
"I am gonna do one better"
"Why is gamora"
It’s actually “I’ll do you one better”. Not yeah I’m gonna do one better.
Maybe showing scenes instead of talking over them would be cool
Thank you

Then we wouldn't know which ones were improvised
@Monkey Chicken yea
Dang man, you harsh
You missed the best one from ragnarok. The whole Thor Loki snake bit was improvised

FUN FACT: When Peter says
"I DON'T WANNA GO" Tom got that from David Tennant's Last Line in Doctor Who right before he regenerated
He says "I don't want to go" a couple of times so he can cry I watched a video on it he says saying things over and over can help form emotions 😋
I thought so it killed me both of the scenes doctor who and spidermans

@IlIlIlIllIIl those videos are great! That chemistry is really important to the organic feel on screen

Btw, along with Parker's dusting, the "WE are groot" was nearly as heartbreaking.
@dreamymills idk

It's probably against KZclip's dictatorship. Most of these channels have their hands tied when making videos anymore.

It's kinda crazy how all these improv scenes are amongst my favorites of all time!! Actors need more freedom to do more of this!!
I’ve heard so much about marvel films being improvised I’m convinced there isn’t actually a script for any marvel film
Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman :(
The "Why is Gamora?" scene was improvised?!
Jeez, I thought for certain that was just really well-scripted, that was my favorite scene in Infinity War lol
justinequek yeah. Why is gamora worked because of the character saying it
I’ll do you one better.
WHAT is gamora?
@Galactic Quasar nah it wouldve been too much
woulda been better if Tom said what is gamora

Uh...you do realize that Renner improvised almost as much as Downey and Whedon kept everything in because it was so in character? Just sayin'...
I loved, "I am Ironman". That ending made the movie for me.
Screen Rant: "here's a bunch of improvised scenes that we're just going to mute and talk over"
I LOVE YOU
Right?
Do you want them to get a copyright claim for the audio no i didnt think so
Lol so annoying
My thoughts exactly........
There is many improvised scene i love, but the one with Peter and Tony showing his dominance by demanding Peter to move his leg is awesome.
3:33 There is no way that that scene, throwing Loki 10 feet into 3 guards, was improvised.
It wasn't a single take/shot
R.I.P Chadwick Boseman 👑
so basically all of the lines that actually show who the characters are, what they are feeling, and how they are thinking are all improvised and not from the scripts. sounds accurate.
“I don’t want to go” is also a line from Doctor Who from Doctor 10, David Tennant.
How to make an Avengers movie:
-Give Stark and Parker a moment
-Give everyone but Downey a script
-Led Zeppelin in the background
AC/DC in the background
Did you know the whole ac/dc scene in ffh was Tom's idea?
@Kevin I see what you did there. Parker totally thought AC/DC was Led Zeppelin in Far From Home.
@Just Lisa 😂
@Louis You clearly haven't seen Far From Home.
I clicked this video to actually see and hear the improvised scenes of dialogue. But now it was just a stort about the improvised scenes
and ads every 4 minutes...
Yeah, I was looking for that, too.
If they play the scenes they may get copy righted
We should have known better than to click a Screen Rant video, they never show what they're talking about... they just talk about it! LAME!!!
Robert seems like he really knows his character especially when it come to improvising
Rest in peace wakanda for ever 😢😭😭
The man, the myth, the legend. Robert Downey Jr.
Tony and Thor are the only avengers who don’t keep their powers secret.
um... Captain America? Pretty sure who he is and how he got his powers, in the mcu, are taught in history books. Actually, with only a couple exceptions, the Avengers in the MCU are known commodities.
Robert Downey jr. is the king of improv
Actually (going of the marvel topic) Robin Williams is FIGHT ME
You know , he is practicaly the same person so he can do basically whatever whould he do in the moment XD
He's amazing but not as Chris Pratt, most of his amazing lines in Parks&Rec were improvised
@daniel_l simple solution: fusion dance.
Thanks for the video ! Very interesting, they all have great acting skills, turning something spontaneous to a masterpiece!
That's probably why Ragnarok was one of my favorite MCU movies. They just let Chris Hemsworth do what he does best.
The fact that rdj is the one who improvised the most proves the fact why iron man was chosen to do the snap in endgame.. Also the tom holland and rdj thing :') man.. We're going to miss that so much
Those movies are truly amazing and definitely captures an era. I'll be curious to see how these movies will be redone 20 years or so, from now.
Thank you for all these different movie experiences i didnt pay attention to at first! Good job keep up the good work :)
Spiderman, Spiderman
Does whatever a spider can
Everything's going dark
"I don't feel good Mr. Stark"
Oh no! There goes the Spiderman
@Heidi Henson literally read the last line with the show tune until I realised it was you not the lyrics 😅😅
As much as this breaks my heart, this is *_PURE GENIUS_*
Tandi Ford ha ha ha
XD XD XD
OOOF STILL TOO SOON
Tom and Robert together was like a God sent to the MCU the two work together so amazingly! 😂
Props to the Kid, whose Make a Wish wish was to visit the set of Thor: Ragnarok! 13:42
R.I.P. Chadwick Boseman "WAKANDA FOREVER!"
Every single list about anything about the avengers: Robert Downey jr. hides food on set...
@Kim Ray yea that's right
@Johanna Swart I heard they had to sew the pockets closed on his sytherin robes bc of it
I guess that's why they call him Robert*Brownie* Jr. 9:59
Kirby Kirby so did tom felton in harry potter
Tbh I would hide food on the set too
The Galaga line was also improvised. That's why Chris Evans looks so confused after the line.
