You have to keep doing this blades, and sell them! Many people would be interested in buying not only for your art, but the symbolism behind it! Stay strong 💪🏻
Remarkable work, even more so considering the source of that steel. Stay safe and thank you as always for sharing your talent with us. May this chapter pass soon.
There is something so cool about taking a cannon barrel and turning it into a knife, and one so well made too. Love your videos, best wishes from Germany, stay safe!
a beautiful blade, it looks to me like the waves receding from a sandy shore, and the symbolism of the material used is quite beautiful as well. i always love when art has a statement to make
Another epic piece that turned out beyond beautiful! As many others have already days glad that you are doing okay and still able to practice your craft! Thanks for sharing!
That is beautiful work as always. I hope that you continue to stay safe and this awful war comes to an end very soon. Best wishes from a fan of your work in the UK.
I have not seen such beautiful Damascus patterns and wonderfully crafted blades on KZclip or anywhere else. I just want to let you know that this is the best stuff I have ever seen, it is really inspiring and cool and I would love to one day do things like this!
I always hoped you you do this. The came out absolutely amazing. The mix of the pitting and clean hardened steel in the core is beautiful. I hope they found homes in hands of good people.
The blade shows craftsmanship at the finest level. Deceivingly simple, yet it reveals mastery of steel. Another beautiful blade. Continue to be safe, and may peace return.
I'm always happy to see a new video from you. Before it was just to admire the craftsmanship - now it's because you let us know you're safe...as well as the craftsmanship! I hope that this conflict ends soon for you. Stay safe and best wishes from the US.
What a beautiful set! Always does my heart good to see you of your videos while what's going on in your homeland. I think I speak for all of your fan's, let's us all know you're still doing what you love and you're safe. Stay safe and keep doing what you love ❤️
Congratulations on 1M subscribers! This is the most epic subject you've chosen for a blade, thus far. Ukraine is close to my heart and I pray for her daily.
I was so hoping that you would get the opportunity to forge some foreign liberated steel. It's not my first wish, peace on Earth for everyone, but this will do in the meantime given the current circumstances. Glad that you are safe and well enough to practice your craft. I sincerely hope that your family and friends are safe enough as well. Stay warm...
Thanks for the video Mr. S. I know that the situation in your country is not at its best but I really hope that you have a good end of the year holidays for you, thank you very much for the content and I hope we see each other again. Merry Christmas to all and a prosperous New Year. Greetings from Chile.
I'm glad to see you are still OK, I worry whenever I hear of an attack near Sumy. Those barrels should be good chrome molybdenum steel (4140 steel or similar) and would be good for knives! Great use of discarded war materials! All the best from Australia.
honestly love your blades and would love to own a few myself. also curious on the teas you brew with each video, may want to look into them myself. lastly why have i not seen you in forged in fire?! your blades are way above what has been shown!!
So glad to know you’re holding strong!! My hope is that you make a number of these occupiers barrel knives and sell them. Because I would buy one!! Great as always! I wish you would tell us in your videos what the tea is. Stay safe, be well !
Awesome! Just curious, but how long did it take you to get the barrel down to a flat bar so you could put it on the band saw? It seemed like that was the most time-consuming part of the whole project.
I'm very interested in seeing a edge retention and performance testing of this steel, also makese wonder about the actual armor of the vehicle in terms of performance
I have always been interested in anything made from metal. The tanto is my personal favorite knife/short-bladed weapon. I have a question or two. How much mass do you lose from the scale that pops off? and what is the starting weight verse the final weight of the blade. You made 2 of those, what type of handle did you use and sheaf did you use for the final product?
Happy to see you still making videos of your beautiful work, and happy to hear that you are relatively safe. I hope that you and your friends/family can remain so and stay in good spirits.
На 9.8 отлично видно качество изготовления ствола. Канал просверлено по центру - но это не точно. Клинок получился великолепный, куда лучше чем первоначальное изделие. Успехов мастеру.
I can't think of a better use of that steel. I am thoroughly impressed with the end result. The master has made another great blade and the recipient will be amazed by it. I hope and pray that you are safe and sound this Christmas considering the circumstances. May God bless you and keep you and your family and friends.
As a soldier, a small part of me hope those blades make their way back to the line, but an even larger part of me hopes they never have to see combat, and that there can be a swift and peaceful resolution to this bullshit conflict...
Dmitry you've turned something terrible into something beautiful, I wish your circumstances were better, I hope 2023 sees you and Ukraine return to some normality, thank you for sharing your magical steel with us all again. Stay safe.
I’ve watched every video you have ever made. This is my first comment ever, I have volunteered locally at my home for Ukraine and continue to do so. Know this, you make Ukraine proud with your talents. May your blades make it to the frontlines to help win the fight!
SWEET!!! While all of your work is amazimg, seeing those tanto's with the rough forged look just adds to the effect, those are possibly the best blades I've seen you make!
You are awesome man! Great skills and knowledge of your proffesion. I'ts a big pleasure to watch you working :) Best wishes for u coming from Poland :) take care
My favorite things about this channel (besides obviously the epic knives made): Using seasoning and peppers in the billets and the delicious teas you make. Prime Choice mate!
That metal may be hard as hell, but nothing compared to your balls, good sir. Keep on doing what you do best and, in the meantime, letting us enjoy your videos and knowing you are safe. Hugs from Spain.
Dimitry Shevchenko, I have watched your content on KZclip and FB for a number of years now. I can honestly say from the types of tooling you have to the amount and quality of blades you produce, I can see you are a honed professional. I have always been impressed with your work and each video I’ve watched have kept me captivated to the very end. I have contacted you in the past, and even wished you well and safe at the beginning of the conflict your people are suffering through. I have been worried and wondering about you for a few months now as this is the first video I’ve seen of yours in some time. I have prayed for you and for your country and will continue to do so. I am very happy and relieved to see you are still producing top notch blades that hopefully will play a part in your country gaining its independence. What irony it is to think a barrel pointed at your country will be turned into something more personal used to deliver that message of independence !!! I like your style Dimitry 😉 So until the next video, may God our Holy Father keep you and yours safe and deliver you from the tyranny of those who seek to hurt you.
That's another beautiful knife, Dmitri. I especially love that it's made from one of Putin's APCs. Maybe someone can bring you some scrap steel from a tank, for you to work your magic on. I watch to see your beautiful metal work, my wife watches to see what tea you'll be making. Your channel truly has something for everyone!
*I am so glad to see you putting up another video of your fabulous craft. Please stay safe and keep your head down, as WE all need to continue, to see you, putting out lots more videos.*
You have taken the art at different levels... Yes levels... Its very fascinating to see the whole video... Merry Christmas to you n all of your family members...
So glad to see you safe, our little family has been watching your channel for a couple of years now and we worry about you and your family. Such a relief to see a new video from you!
I dont know why I havent seen this already ...youtube algorythym I guess but I did wonder how long it would be before the bits of scrap filtered through to the local blacksmiths and bladesmiths....quicker than I thought apparently That is an awesome blade, proving that beauty can always be found in the most unusual of places. Thankyou for sharing.
You have to keep doing this blades, and sell them! Many people would be interested in buying not only for your art, but the symbolism behind it! Stay strong 💪🏻
Damn right. I would happily buy one as it is. I could put a handle on it easily enough, maybe a guard as one seems necessary for a knife of this kind.
Definitely a good use for decommissioned barrels that where near the end of there life if not getting remelted and poured again
Shut up and take my money!!
I too would purchase 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
A beautiful piece of art as always. Stay safe in this broken world, I pray every day for this to end.
Remarkable work, even more so considering the source of that steel. Stay safe and thank you as always for sharing your talent with us. May this chapter pass soon.

👌
Not just conflict, this is war, dirty war.
That is stunning work! As many others have said, loads of us would love to purchase any of your work! Stay strong, stay safe!
You are a creator even in a time of destruction. Good to see you are well
I have not seen such beautiful Damascus patterns and wonderfully crafted blades on KZclip or anywhere else. I just want to let you know that this is the best stuff I have ever seen, it is really inspiring and cool and I would love to one day do things like this!
Absolutely love the simplicity of this one. Single line damascus and the rest raw. Beautiful work as always. Thanks for sharing and glad you're safe.
Absolutely stunning!! We are all glad you are still able to do the great work that you do!! Thanks for sharing another masterpiece
Nice to know you're OK, an still making some of these works of art. Stay warm an stay sharp.
I always hoped you you do this. The came out absolutely amazing. The mix of the pitting and clean hardened steel in the core is beautiful. I hope they found homes in hands of good people.
This is truly a work of art. Stay safe and awesome!
The blade shows craftsmanship at the finest level. Deceivingly simple, yet it reveals mastery of steel. Another beautiful blade. Continue to be safe, and may peace return.

That's got to be the best looking etch I've seen yet on one of your blades. It's particularly poetic because of where the metal came from.
Good work!
Maybe my favorite blade you've done. Wish I had one. Thank you! May God keep a hedgerow around you and your family. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Fantastic, as usual. You're designs never cease to amaze me. The patterns are always a wonderful surprise.
I am almost speechless from awe. That pattern and the blade itself is beautiful. You are a master and an artist.
It sure looks like Shurap can make a masterpiece out of anything... Love your work!
What a beautiful set! Always does my heart good to see you of your videos while what's going on in your homeland. I think I speak for all of your fan's, let's us all know you're still doing what you love and you're safe. Stay safe and keep doing what you love ❤️
Spectacular work, as usual. Glad to see you doing well enough to keep creating!
Congratulations on 1M subscribers! This is the most epic subject you've chosen for a blade, thus far. Ukraine is close to my heart and I pray for her daily.
Another work of art, and a beautiful symbol of resistance. Very glad you're safe.
Not always a fan of ornate Damascus, but this pattern is gorgeous. Exceptional job...
Unreal work brother, and a much better use for it than what it's originally made for.
Praying for all of you, take care. ✌ 👍
Every single blacksmith in the world wait for your videos, in order to know you’re well and safe.
Stay strong, stay safe.
We are with you. ❤
You are a true master of the craft, sir. Stay safe, and keep doing what you're doing. Gives me something to aspire to.
I was so hoping that you would get the opportunity to forge some foreign liberated steel. It's not my first wish, peace on Earth for everyone, but this will do in the meantime given the current circumstances. Glad that you are safe and well enough to practice your craft. That's truly awesome that someone sent you the barrel sections to forge into blades. Merry Christmas Dmitry and stay safe.
You are my favorite knife maker on KZclip , I'm always impressed with the blades you create your love for the craft really shows
Thank you, very good work as always. Stay strong 💪🏻
wow the half circle cut turned out to look soo good with the line seperation being right where the bevel was i love it
Piękna robota!
Pozdrowienia z Warszawy!

MY GUY! I've been waiting to see if you'd get the chance to make something from the reclaimed resources from the occupiers, quality blade Dmitry!
Beautiful.
And unlike the BTR barrels they started out as, perfectly balanced and well-crafted.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
I would love to see you compete in Forged in Fire seeing how well experienced you are at bladesmithing and with Damascus.
Incredible work, and I appreciate the symbolism. Glad to see your welds are strong.
I cannot like this video enough!! You are an amazing craftsman! Hoping for you and your neighbors continued safety.
honestly love your blades and would love to own a few myself. also curious on the teas you brew with each video, may want to look into them myself. lastly why have i not seen you in forged in fire?! your blades are way above what has been shown!!
That's why he hasn't been on, it'd be a waste of his time!
So glad to know you’re holding strong!! My hope is that you make a number of these occupiers barrel knives and sell them. Because I would buy one!! Great as always! I wish you would tell us in your videos what the tea is. Stay safe, be well !
I can’t get over how much I like this knife. It just speaks to me. It looks electric. Two thumbs up
great work as always! i'm happy to know that you are ok and safe. please take care, you and your family. a big hug from argentina fan!
Awesome! Just curious, but how long did it take you to get the barrel down to a flat bar so you could put it on the band saw? It seemed like that was the most time-consuming part of the whole project.
0:25 Разная толщина стенок сделана специально (верхняя толще), чтобы бороться с провисанием при нагреве.
@ШУТЕРНОЙ За кораблем вам.
@Vadim Dubitskiy куда уж нам до высокотехнологичной украины с наикрайшими руководителями
@DedMazay JK написано в описании ж-БТР 30 мм
а что за ствол такой? от какого?
Good to see you safe and well. Love it! Best use of of that cannon. Turning a weapon of destruction into a work of art.
I'm very interested in seeing a edge retention and performance testing of this steel, also makese wonder about the actual armor of the vehicle in terms of performance
@J.K it's from 2A72 Cannon used on BTR-82A
The armour is rolled homogeneous and over-all quite poor but this barrel is likely from a bmp-2 30mm, And sub par.
That is by FAR the most beautiful tanto blade I have ever seen!!
I have always been interested in anything made from metal. The tanto is my personal favorite knife/short-bladed weapon. I have a question or two. Much love and respect! Thank you for continuing making videos. Hope you have a safe and much much better new year
Nossa que legal, cara sou muito fã do seu trabalho, um abraço aqui do Brasil
The lines separating two different metal types is amazing.... Once again your work is fabulous..... Be safe..
На 9.8 отлично видно качество изготовления ствола. Канал просверлено по центру - но это не точно. Клинок получился великолепный, куда лучше чем первоначальное изделие. Успехов мастеру.
Those are some really beautiful patterns and really beautiful blades! SUBSCRIBED!!!
I can't think of a better use of that steel. I am thoroughly impressed with the end result. The master has made another great blade and the recipient will be amazed by it. I hope and pray that you are safe and sound this Christmas considering the circumstances. May God bless you and keep you and your family and friends.
@Ashton Shaw-- this could end tomorrow, if the orcs got out of Ukraine, where they have been meddling since 2014.
As a soldier, a small part of me hope those blades make their way back to the line, but an even larger part of me hopes they never have to see combat, and that there can be a swift and peaceful resolution to this bullshit conflict...
You are an incredible blacksmith.

Really love the finish on these, great work!
Spelndid work, Dmitry. I like the symbolism of reforging a gunbarrel into a tool. Stay safe!
SWEET!!!
While all of your work is amazimg, seeing those tanto's with the rough forged look just adds to the effect, those are possibly the best blades I've seen you make!
my favorite has to be the stalactite knife from the belt sander
Very impressive. Looks so natural.
You are awesome man! Great skills and knowledge of your proffesion. I'ts a big pleasure to watch you working :) Best wishes for u coming from Poland :) take care
Exquisite work. I really like those blades.

Stay safe.
Amazing as always. I'm glad to know you are still safe. I wait for these videos to be able to relax a bit knowing you're alright until the next video.

I’d happily buy one of these. Awesome work, once again.

Señor Shevchenko..Ud. es un verdadero artista! Maravilloso trabajo. 👏🏻👏🏻Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
Beautiful blades, and not the first or last time I've seen a barrel like that that was non-concentric
So glad to see you safe, our little family has been watching your channel for a couple of years now and we worry about you and your family. Such a relief to see a new video from you!
Those are awesome blades, would love to see them after the handles are on.
Your cinematic skills are developing...LOVED the tea scene. 💜 Slava Ukraini!
The oil shot was amazing. Really impressed with your lighting.
Parabéns como sempre belíssimo trabalho 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
I've been hoping to see you make something using steal salvaged from "the occupants'" vehicles. Stay safe and stay strong
Glad to see that you are doing well and making beautiful blades. Keep forging ahead my friend.

Como siempre, no quedo defraudado con tan maravillosos trabajo. Que hermoso cuchillo ....🤩
HARD AF. Glad to see you and your workshop are safe from the occupiers. Wish I could buy one of your beautiful blades.
