To eliminate paint seepage under your tape, start with your black (or whatever base color you choose) canvas, lay your tape and press down the edges as well possible. Next, repaint over then tape with the black or base color, doing your best to make sure all the tape edges are sealed. After that paint layer has dried, paint your colors as shown in the video. Lift your tape while the paint is still wet, and then, Voila! Clean, crisp edges and no paint blobs!

There's no need for incredible skill or training all you need is some imagination and creativity and you can kind of just jump into it and make something that looks nice. Unfortunately I'm not in a financial position where I feel comfortable going to the store and buying a bunch of art supplies to play with, but someday I will.

This is the best way for doing perfect cut lines when painting a house too. At least in my experience. Just FYI.
