Love it how this goes from a rollercoaster on alan’s pc to a literal multi episode war.

You know you're a really good roller coaster engineer when you didn't check the ramp that leads to death on your roller coaster and then make your friends ride it.

I've watched this so many times, and I just noticed that the lava fake out forshadowed everyone dropping into the abyss right at the end, as both instances followed the same logic. Alan Becker really does pay a lot of attention to detail!

I hope this series will make a return just rewatching it but damn this series is pure gold

The amount of expressiveness in these faceless stick figures is astounding.

Oh man, this is definitely one of my favourite episodes so far, because I like the yellow colour, I admire people who make all those elaborate redstone builds and funfairs, which combines neatly into Yellow, and I love how proud they are of their work (to the point of disregarding a chest that could have something valuable!), and how - whether it was intended or not - they're seen stimmimg when happy, I can even see parts of myself in them, with me caring a lot for my work, fretting over whether my friends like it or not, anticipating their reactions, and, again, stimming. This is a delight.

I love the attention to detail, if you pay attention to the first few blocks of the rollercoaster they are the exact same blocks yellow used for his test. You can even see the cobblestone covering up his pit lol.

Do you ever think that Alan comes back on his computer after the stickmen have done their shenanigans and he just sees this giant hole in the middle of his desktop.

It's been over 2 years yet it still upsets me that yellow didn't check the chest before removing it

Yellows reaction to his first ride on the minecart is priceless!

He created this amazing ride and he didn't go first.
In retrospect I now know why.

Yellow accidentally makes a hole on the ground. He then becomes curious about what lays below the surface and digs deeper, after which he finds a mineshaft and experiments with Mine carts. Much later, the other stick figures arrive to see Yellow with a massive underground Roller coaster for them to ride. It goes all well and with a lot of thrills until the very end, in which Yellow finds out the hard way that mine carts do not jump as far as he was hoping.

I’d always wanted to build the same exact roller coaster as this one

I just found out that the stickmen are 3 blocks tall. They're a bit taller than endermen.

Yellow starts the episode by testing a pressure plate with many different items, like redstone lamps, pistons, and trapdoors. As he mines the trapdoor away, he accidentally mines through the floor of the computer. He then tries to cover it up with wool, but it obviously stands out, so out of curiosity, he digs down for a while, until he reaches an abandoned mineshaft. This is where he discovers minecarts and rails. He removes the chest in the minecart, and rides it down a stretch of slanting rails and finds it great fun, but not nearly long enough. So Yellow continues to build an incredible roller coaster entirely off-camera.
A while later, The Second Coming is talking to Red, Blue, and Green, when they encounter Yellow's completed Roller Coaster. TSC takes one look down the long slanting tunnel and tries to leave, but Yellow stops him and forces him into the minecart. Everyone else climbs in as well. Yellow pushes them into the tunnel.
The tunnel goes through a series of ups and downs. TSC and the others were scared at first, but soon enjoyed the ride. They continue to ride and get launched up by redstone-powered slime blocks, and wave at a statue of Yellow waving back at them. As they ride down the tunnel, TSC and the others saw the minecarts riding towards a giant pool of lava. At the last second, pistons underneath them retract and they fall down. Then they ducked into their minecarts as the tunnel gets increasingly small, and then into a gigantic cavern. A bigger, more detailed statue of Yellow holding rails stands in the background. The stick figures ride on more redstone-powered slime blocks that bounce them across, then get separated and crisscrossed each other before riding back together as before. They go through a loop (which is not possible in Minecraft) and reach the end of the course. All of the sticks cheer as the redstone sign reads "THE END".
Except it really isn't over, because the redstone sign goes "...". Everyone stops cheering. And then the redstone sign reads, "JK" (which is Just Kidding). The blocks below the minecarts that the sticks are riding on retract and soon enough the sticks are riding again, this time more faster than before, downwards to a ramp, a netherrack pathway leading to the real Yellow, who was waiting for his friends. He sees his friends riding down to the ramp and is excited to see them. But right when the sticks ride off the ramp, instead of flying towards Yellow, they just drop down.
That's it. They just fell. Because in Minecraft physics, there's no such thing as ramps; the minecarts just fall when they reach the end of the rails. That's it. The end.

That ending was really clever! Nice work Alan!

sometimes i think that alan's mc animations are better than the others

Fun Fact:
When you pause on a random moment watching an animation - the pause is never blurred, because it always pauses on a frame, which are jot blurred when drawing!
On the other hand, in films the pause can be blurry, since it is not made frame by frame.

Fun fact: If you pause the video and go frame by frame by pressing the period button or the other ways. You will see that yellow actually steps up the minecart rails as yellow's going up. But in Minecraft that doesn't happen.

Roller coasters, lava and caves... It reminds me of the Level 8-7 in New Super Mario Bros Wii, it was my favourite level so this video gave me so damn much nostalgia !

This video is underrated and deserves more love.

After re watching the entire series a few times, i realized that each colour has their own special abilities. Blue is really good at farming and potions, red is really good with animals, green is really good with music and building, yellow is good with redstone and command blocks, and orange is like an all rounder who is decent at all of them. Did anyone else notice this?

So I decided to play Jazzy Note Blocks (ep 5) during the coaster scene from the part where the subtitles say "taking a walk with friends" and holy heckles it actually was really great in Time with the coaster, the best part has to be the ending though.

Throughout the entire cave system you can only see 2 diamonds at the end of the rollercoaster.
