Because this top 10 serves one main purpose: generating new viewers. If you are already a regular watcher of the NBA, you're NOT the target group. They want people to see these videos and get hooked on the action - so naturally they will put on the big stars more often/higher than the plays would deserve, and they will always prefer flashy plays over stuff that "real" fans enjoy (like phenomenal team basketball). Dunks get new people (especially kids) hooked. Then handles, half-court shots, buzzer beaters, game winners, already to a lower degree. And of course they also occasionally will push specific players (like #1 picks or rising stars) or events (like the upcoming dunk contest). It's all marketing, don't think the NBA does ANYTHING on KZclip that doesn't serve that purpose at least to a degree.
