Well Done Stephen Curry on scoring 21.000 Career Points for your career great achievement and milestone except getting tossed out by throwing the mouthpiece away for automatic ejection and finishing the game with 34 Points and 4 Three Pointers in the game as well .

Steph was also getting hammered on so many shots without calls tonight. He was frustrated building up to his outburst. Team came through for the win. That's what counts.

Glad I decided to go to the game today! The way the game was going (and the fouls called), I was really surprised (and sort of proud) of the crowd’s energy today. That last ejection really warrants the “refs you suck” chant that we’ve been holding back all game!
Definitely gotta come back for another game in 2023! Dubs play like this, and we have a good chance in the post-season!

I knew Poole was gone win it for them after that ejection. Those are one of those moments in life you can damn near call out. I’ve never seen a player ejected at the end of a game because they didn’t like what a teammate did, think if LeBron did that after JR lol. Learning lesson.

The shot wasn't that bad only problem with that shot is that Stephen was there so he could have passed it to him, it was 12 seconds on the shot clock but over a minute left in the game no one have to wait till the clock ready to expire to take a shot. The lead wasn't big enough to hold onto the ball, but poole should have given it to the best shooter in that moment

    • ubon wang
      ubon wang Ай бұрын +1

@Martin Jones Why? Steph played hero ball and lost many games this season because of that. Klay shoot many dumb shots and Steph didn't say a word. That why no team Chemistry because the old core think they have to be above others, not about winning.

    • Corey Gilmore
      Corey Gilmore Ай бұрын +1

@Martin Jones and it would help if Steph don't try and show up their second option and get himself rightfully ejected and I firmly believe they don't care and that shows because nobody in the press conference said anything about his shot especially because they were already up and ultimately he won them the game. The only person who made a mistake was as Steph unfortunately.

    • Martin Jones
      Martin Jones Ай бұрын

      @Corey Gilmore
You are confused about the Warriors- they encourage pace, creativity, accept quick shots, but it also fits within a system, a context, and can also be situational, especially at the end of the game. Poole is a scorer, the Warriors need him to be a scorer, he will get his shots up, but this is not about getting shots up, it's about half a season's worth of poor execution at the end of games. That is something they can't afford not to care about from here on out.
(But it would also help if Steph would stop throwing lazy, behind the back/and or one-handed gifts to the opponent regularly during the earlier parts of games...)

    • Corey Gilmore
      Corey Gilmore Ай бұрын

@Martin Jones they give him 17 shots a game they don't care.

    • Martin Jones
      Martin Jones Ай бұрын +2

@Corey Gilmore When the game is on the line and the player shooting from 30ft out without even looking your way has a much worse 3-pt % than you, worse than Draymond Green actually, and you are the team leader/All-Star/Hall-Of-Famer, MVP of everything, and the best 3-point shooter ever, that mouthpiece could get a little sour.
Houston Rockets is where young players can go to shoot whenever and nobody cares.

Steph is my guy but stuff like this is the reason their season has went the way it has. There’s obviously something wrong with the chemistry of this team, not sure if it’s the older guys wanting the younger guys to know their roles and stay in their place and the young guys feeling like it’s their time, but something is off.

    • Martin Jones

@ubon wang Nah, I watch all of them- the only one I missed was the last Cavs game, unfortunately. I missed a good one from JP, Kuminga's return, and a sweet, somewhat unexpected road win.
Steph only had 3 assists because he was passing to Poole! Just kidding.
I like Poole, but I ride all of them. Steph made some terrible, weak-ass gift passes- he's done that shit his whole career. Draymond too, over-passing and passing up lay-ups, etc. But those guys have earned the right to do what they do. As a developing talent, I think Poole's shooting himself and the team in the foot, getting caught up in things that are outside of winning. I think/hope he'll adjust towards the team-first. Maybe even play a little D...
      I'm happy he's a Warrior.
Example- You understand what a "lost-ball" turnover is? Jordan Poole has 52 so far this year. Next on the team is Steph, at 17. You have to combine the next five highest totals (Steph + Kuminga + Klay + Wiggins + JaMychal) to get higher than 52.
*Draymond only has 7. He has team-high 73 "bad-pass" turnovers, JPoole has 68 of those too.

    • ubon wang
      ubon wang Ай бұрын

This game, Steph 3 assists and 3 turnovers, Poole 7 assists and 3 turnovers. Obviously, you made comments without watching the game. Just hating.

    • Pat Wilder
      Pat Wilder Ай бұрын

@Martin Jones kg and Paul pierce were talking to each other about how the year after a championship; the young guys come back the next year feeling themselves. This could explain the draymond incident, as well as this one. The warriors success has been predicated on team success, make the extra pass. Hey I’m open.. but that guy over there is wide open type shit. I have a feeling Poole has done things in practice that led up to Steph’s anger in that moment.

    • Martin Jones
      Martin Jones Ай бұрын +2

JP needs to work on recognition and trusting his team. The two greatest shooters ever were setup and wide open for threes. He launches one without running a play. man he got to slow down and think.

    • Martin Jones
      Martin Jones Ай бұрын +1

      @ubon wang
Bro, nobody is going to dare JPoole to shoot it by leaving him wide open. He has to make the shots he takes. But he's hitting sub-Draymond pct. at the moment.
Steph and Klay take "bad" shots all the time, but they hit 40% plus. Ima put it to you this way- where JPoole and Steph are sitting for this season, as of today:
for JPoole to catch up to Steph's current 3pt% (42.0%) he would have to make his next 67 three's in a row.
for Steph to ummm... "catch" JPoole's current 3pt% (32.1%) he would have to miss his next 118 threes in a row.
Game on the line, they're both open from 30 feet, who do you want shooting that shot?

    • ubon wang
      ubon wang Ай бұрын

Look at Embiid last night too. Did the suck it motion to the crowd and the ref looked away. Just think about it. Curry was getting hammered all night getting no calls. Doing everything he could to win without relying on free throws, unlike every other big name in the league. This isn’t a game to them. It’s literally their job to win

@carlo X He threw it at the ground, and while I can see it calling for a technical (sort of), it shouldn't call for two. Especially not in a clutch moment like that.

Anyone else think it was child-like bad behavior for Curry to throw his mouthpiece like that because he was upset Poole took that unadvised 3 pt shot? It's like a baby taking out it's pacifier and hurling to the ground cause it got veggies instead of candy for din din. 😁

That was a dumb ass shot from Jordan Poole. I was yelling at the TV. This game could have easily ended up different. Also the ejection of Steph was disgraceful. He didn't aim his mouth guard at anyone. There is so much passion and fire that these guys play with and the players aren't allowed to express frustration from time to time? They really need to reevaluate some of the rules. Great win for the Warriors but I don't think they have what it takes to win this year. They need to fill some holes in their squad, improve their defense and get some size and depth. If Steph isn't there or has an off game they crumble

@Dallin Ferguson What the warriors need is a competent and athletic big man. Looney is the closest to that they have right now. Wiseman has I believe the worst box +/- on the team when he is playing. And even though he is tall, he often only gets 5 or so rebs.
