I kind of want a poster that says "When life gives you 1232 lemons, you make lemonade, and then force kids to drink it to power your regenerative zipline" it's just the sort of out-there, oddly specific thing I love XD
"When life gives you 1232 lemons, make lemonade...Then force kids to drink it to power your regenerative breaking zipline and then make a battery for a super car."
YES I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU TO USE THEM AND TO BE HONEST I HAVE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE A PART OF THE TEAM ARE IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE BALL OUT OF THE WAY FOR THE NEXT STEP IS TO GET THE BALL IN THE MORNING AND GET THE BALL DONE BY THE END OF THE WEEK AS I AM OISIN WITH THE TEAM TO GET THE BALL DONE BY THE END OF THE WEEK AS THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE REST OF THE WORK DONE BY THE END OF THE WEEK AS I HAVE TO SCREAM THE PEOPLE THAT ARE WORKING ON THE PHONE
Mark: "All the lemon power is here in this neat battery, watch, it moves itself!" Also Mark: Moves the battery 2 inches, thus using all the lemon power.
@Some Otherworldly Being Yes, there is no such thing as a failed experiment. Also a 48 kWh trolley going 2 mph would need only around 50W, so it has a range of 2000 miles! With 150W solar, it could drive continiously circling the earth every year and a half. Far better than any Mars rover.
It's just simply amazing that every of Mark's videos are filled of creativity, and always are an important contribution to the world. We love you Mark!
Mark: “And when it comes to making ridiculous things, no one is better than that than fellow youtube engineer, William P. Osman” Will: *does the little jump thing* “O h”
@Bavarian Hobbit How this fails is that the weight (In this case it was children) was removed when lifting the zipline back up which is what generated energy, the difference in weight meant that when going down there was more KE because more mass but when going up and using up that energy generated the children/weight was not there so you still kept the energy generated by the weight of the kid on the line. You would lose energy if the children stayed on the zipline when its recalled to the top.
the learning experiences those kids got with the dirty solar panel project was tremendous. I just LOVE seeing that kind of content, I'm sure they'll remember it for such a long time
Do it, even if you decide engineering isn't your passion an engineering background is transferable to a myriad of other career paths, so it is hard to go wrong with an engineering degree
Mark: all our energy sources are really from the sun Also Mark: we put a nuclear generator on our next Rover to Mars so it wouldn't need to rely on the sun.
Mark, you make me want to become an engineer so i can be the crazy aunt who builds stuff for her nieces and nephews... or just so i can build stuff in general
Mark had 1300 overripe lemons. He uses like 1200 of them to make a lemon battery to charge a supercar. What time was it when he woke up in the morning?
Mark is the cool, hip uncle who's good at everything and who everyone likes. William is the awkward, well meaning dad. Someone write this as a cheesy 80s family movie
The fact that I could be doing stuff like this today, but instead playing video games and of course watching the video, just dampens my spirits. I /should/ try doing more stuff like this.
Hey Mark, we have a zipline in our backyard that is 150' long. My daughter Cara wants me to make the return motor strong enough for them to stay on the swing and go back up the line to the start. I know this video was done in 2018 and the electric battery technology has come a long way, any suggestions?
Legends says mark and the other guy are still drinking juice made from lemons edit: "And now if you'll excuse me, I have an urgent delivery deadline to meet in Colorado" got me crying laughing
Besides being the genius that you are, the best part of the video was the interaction between the youngsters. They are indeed the stars of the show, and better than some of the movies I have seen recently!
I love how kid friendly you are. This was a fun video to watch. As soon as you said that the battery could drive itself, I immediately thought to ride it.
@Lila_kit No, don't make lemonade, make life take the lemons back! Demand to see life's manager! Build a combustible lemon to burn life's house down! With the lemons!
That takes the whole "when life gives you lemons" (metaphorically and literally) a whole new level it will make even Cave Johnson (from the Portal series) proud.
Very nice, and you were really off like a herd of turtles at the end of this one. Collecting most of the water used to clean off dust from the photovoltaic cells could be a useful addition, for watering the plants also around.
USAGI - And someone who can actually explain it to children as well. Literally in William's video it was just completely chaotic and hilarious how little information the kids he was talking to actually understood, while with Mark they literally took that information from him and built something from it on their own (for the most part)
Mark: "Even things like wind turbines are really solar powered because the wind blows when the sun heats up the atmosphere unevenly." Me: 🤯😳🤯 I'm learning so much here!
When life gives you lemons....
Make a battery for a supercar.
Obviously
I kind of want a poster that says "When life gives you 1232 lemons, you make lemonade, and then force kids to drink it to power your regenerative zipline" it's just the sort of out-there, oddly specific thing I love XD
Ü obviously
@Mantra idk about that :/
that isn't obvious
'When life gives you 1232 lemons, make lemonade...Then force kids to drink it to power your regenerative breaking zipline"
- Mark Rober (2018)
Quote of the decade
"When life gives you 1232 lemons, make lemonade...Then force kids to drink it to power your regenerative breaking zipline and then make a battery for a super car."

Like way bigger lemons
Im putting this on a shirt
Mark: "All the lemon power is here in this neat battery, watch, it moves itself!"
Also Mark: Moves the battery 2 inches, thus using all the lemon power.
the power of sour
Lemonsvgo weeeeee
Lol
Mark made William not look like the chaotic nervous mess he was in his own video 😂😭
I love how mark builds up our expectations with all the science and how things work but then just shows it failing
William Osman in a video. Something WILL fail
I like how mark does that. Cuz depending on how someone explains it science can be very interesting to listen to
That’s how science works
It's just simply amazing that every of Mark's videos are filled of creativity, and always are an important contribution to the world. We love you Mark!
they are also filled with child labor
Volkswagen: hey charge our battery. Just use a charg-
Mark: LEMONS
everyone: When life gives you lemons you make lemo-
Mark: A GIANT BATTERY WITH THEM
@Memory I know this is late but…..
Don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad!
Hahaha! Agreed!
@Cintia G. Just gonna let you know, you misspelled to and edit.
When life gives you lemons
You make electricity
He’s like that one teacher in school who makes everything fun
My favorite professor was a nasa astronomer literally the coolest guy I ever met
Both William and Mark are
@Sumit Shaw LOL
So ture to be true
i think you mean that one teacher in your entire education
I really appreciate that he used lemons that couldn't be sold in stores, just saying.
From what I remember looking at the William Osman video there are also grade 1 lemons that get sold in stores
I don't think stores even have that many lemons anyway
@AG TO THE OG IS THE JOURNEY TO MY LIFE they would of gotten use he did it because it would be cheaper
most grade 2 produce are given to food banks
Ye
"When life gives 1208 lemons make some lemonade then force children to drink it to power your regenerative breaking zipline" best quote of 2018
@Kedar Patil there were actually 1232
And rearranging 1208, makes it 2018
Mark: “And when it comes to making ridiculous things, no one is better than that than fellow youtube engineer, William P. Osman”
Will: *does the little jump thing* “O h”
Attack helicopters don't have fingers so how did you type this
"""""""""O h"""""""""""
I love how Mark makes science fun for kids. The world needs this
Mark: "you can charge a battery if you play on this zipline"
Kids: "meh"
Mark: "It goes up on its own"
Kids:"Wooooaaaaahhhhhh"
@Bavarian Hobbit someones gotta bring the rock back again. Just be the rock and it's funner.
Kids: ILL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK
@Bavarian Hobbit How this fails is that the weight (In this case it was children) was removed when lifting the zipline back up which is what generated energy, the difference in weight meant that when going down there was more KE because more mass but when going up and using up that energy generated the children/weight was not there so you still kept the energy generated by the weight of the kid on the line. You would lose energy if the children stayed on the zipline when its recalled to the top.
@Ashwin Itty It's ironic you're using the word "quote-unquote" instead of actually the quote and unquote.
the learning experiences those kids got with the dirty solar panel project was tremendous. I just LOVE seeing that kind of content, I'm sure they'll remember it for such a long time
After watching this guy i seriously consider becoming an engineer
I got So much respect to engineers
@PossiblyACop pick a type of engineering that fascinates you, tho.
Same
@PossiblyACop FAX
Do it, even if you decide engineering isn't your passion an engineering background is transferable to a myriad of other career paths, so it is hard to go wrong with an engineering degree
"When life gives you lemo-"
Mark Rober: *I'm 4 parallel universes ahead of you*
Yes
oh dammit, its u again
@Divij Dutta he was several late this time
you are everywhere, and that's scaring me
ur late
Mark is so great with kids. He could inspire an entire gym full of kids to want to pursue science and engineering.
I love how Mark makes complicated stuff seem so easy
yep!
1,232 lemons
mark is like the guy we get in the maths questions
@Aki 1232 doesn't divide 18, back to grade school for you timmy
68.4 lemons a child
@Aki lol
@Aki 68.44444... or 68 4/9 lemons per child
@julian you actually did that😑😑
3:36
Let me re-word that for you
“The fact that a lemon can make power is cool, but the power it makes is awful”
"The fact that it works as well as it does is cool, but it does not work well"
@axelestial yes
True
no
Ok
Mark: all our energy sources are really from the sun
Also Mark: we put a nuclear generator on our next Rover to Mars so it wouldn't need to rely on the sun.
Hahahahahah🤣🤣😂🤣😂
how did this go from lemon batteries to making the kids from the neighborhood's day 😭💜
Seriously one of the best content creators here! Thank you for inspiring more people to pursue sciences and engineering, you are a legend!
who else just wishes they were a kid that lives in this guys neighborhood?
Frfr
Me for sure
Me
YESSS
me
He even gives the next generation an opportunity to learn to be as amazing as him! 👏
this brings "when life gives you lemons" a whole new meaning
I love so much that you involved the kids in doing something you love in fun ways.
Mark,
Can you post the plans you used to build the powered zip-line trolley? It’s exactly what we need for our backyard zip-line.
Thanks in advance!
It's so nice to see Mark connecting with his family
The amount of effort that goes into each of these episodes is just incredible.
And he deserves the amount of views he gets with his effort
I know right ?!
It took a lot of lemons to power his 🎥 and ⚡️ and upload it to 💻
@Yedu Krishna exactly!
And pewdiepie looks at reddit memes and gets 10 million views each..
I love how you incorporate kids in your experiments and encourage them to learn and to think outside of the box. Keep up the great work and have fun
Child labor is cheap lol
Mark, you make me want to become an engineer so i can be the crazy aunt who builds stuff for her nieces and nephews... or just so i can build stuff in general
I like how Mark made Will seem like somewhat sane but in his video it was completely different
Mark is the kind of guy to make sure the class 2 lemons are having fun before they get eaten
we need more people like him in this earth , not only kind but also smart
Imagine working at a farm and 2 guys walk up asking for 1,200 overipe lemons.
Mark had 1300 overripe lemons. He uses like 1200 of them to make a lemon battery to charge a supercar. What time was it when he woke up in the morning?
"wait those people are real?!?!"
@Dinosaur i would ruin because it turns to 556 or in American terms
5.56 Caliber Bullet.
This is so many comercial
Math problems.
Me encanta cómo Mark construye nuestras expectativas con toda la ciencia y cómo funcionan las cosas, pero luego simplemente muestra que falla.
Honestly, for your work you deserve way more subscribers.
I would love to have had Mr. Rober as my high school science teacher. Love his concepts🔥
Mark is like the super fun guy in the neighborhood that everyone likes.
Mark is the cool, hip uncle who's good at everything and who everyone likes. William is the awkward, well meaning dad. Someone write this as a cheesy 80s family movie
I_Like_It_Here william is the funnier person so that’s a win in my book
hahaha so true
The fact that I could be doing stuff like this today, but instead playing video games and of course watching the video, just dampens my spirits. I /should/ try doing more stuff like this.
This gives a new definition of: When life gives you lemons
Combustible lemons
@CrazyBacon EXACTLY
You power a supercar
@MysticalToMythical HOLD UP
Build a lemon car
Legend has it, Mark is still drinking lemonade to this day.
Hey Mark, we have a zipline in our backyard that is 150' long. My daughter Cara wants me to make the return motor strong enough for them to stay on the swing and go back up the line to the start. I know this video was done in 2018 and the electric battery technology has come a long way, any suggestions?
You should try doing this again, but with limes or other citrus fruits. I'd like to see if that can change the voltage and/or amperage of the battery.
who wishes this guy was their science teacher?
I was 1,5 k likes
Sprinkelle meh
Me
Sprinkelle more like family relative.
me
After watching both of yalls videos, I can safely say.... You explained the lemon battery soooo much better than William did 😂
Its like you got a bag of cats...
Imagine looking out your window and just seeing mark driving a huge battery
Those kids be lucky to have an uncle like mark
Nothing new but we all know that Mark's the coolest guy ever!!!
this goes to show how far mark rober will go to be the favorite uncle
Legend has it that he is still on the way to deliver the battery.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that thing isn't street legal.
Its driving itself there. Saw it changing lanes without signaling on the 134 last week
And then when he gets there, the battery runs out.
Obunga lol
Ryan Dukas im ded
This is the literal meaning of "When Life Gives You Lemons 🍋"
You both make my life easier and harder at the same time
Can we just talk about how awesome this dude is
The world will never have enough teachers like you!🙏👍💯
Legends says mark and the other guy are still drinking juice made from lemons
edit: "And now if you'll excuse me, I have an urgent delivery deadline to meet in Colorado" got me crying laughing
If Mark Rober was my Physics professor, I would totally ace that class!
I pay attention
Same
@Uthman Baksh It would be nearly impossible to spend that much time on scripts each lesson
@Uthman Baksh 1. Because it goes far less in depth
2. Because he spends a lot of time on scripts
@Dorol Still more informative and easier to under stand than the physics classes I took in college!
I love his videos there so entertaining ❤️ Love you mark
Besides being the genius that you are, the best part of the video was the interaction between the youngsters. They are indeed the stars of the show, and better than some of the movies I have seen recently!
When life gives Mark Rober lemons. Mark: makes a battery out of it.
I really enjoy watching your videos! They just bombard my brain with full of possibilities!
I love how kid friendly you are.
This was a fun video to watch.
As soon as you said that the battery could drive itself, I immediately thought to ride it.
When life gives you lemons...
You donate them to Mark Rober
I just gave you your 999th like
Yup that’s right
pf
lol
Love mark he combines fun and science
I would love an uncle like Mark
You are an incredible creator really informative and creative great content
I love the bit on the sun! Very thought provoking
4:30 this gives a new definition to “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
"When life gives you lemons you make sports car move"
Motivational
@Lila_kit No, don't make lemonade, make life take the lemons back! Demand to see life's manager! Build a combustible lemon to burn life's house down! With the lemons!
Life never gave us lemons. Lemons are sour oranges mixed with citron fruit
So true
@Mr Anything yt same I felt it too
Can we just appreciate how Genius Mark Rober is.
That party seemed like so much fun for those kids! 😊
That takes the whole "when life gives you lemons" (metaphorically and literally) a whole new level it will make even Cave Johnson (from the Portal series) proud.
Legends say that mark still riding that battery 2 years later
you know he gets serious when he gets the power tools
Imagine how cool Mark is with the family friends he’s teaching them in fun ways how they are generating energy.
FREE CHILD LABOR
@Flylykou technically you can generate static energy
best uncle
Man if this guy makes a engineering school I would definitely go to it
Very nice, and you were really off like a herd of turtles at the end of this one. Collecting most of the water used to clean off dust from the photovoltaic cells could be a useful addition, for watering the plants also around.
Just the difference of integrating the kids between marks and williams channel is hillarious. I love both of your styles - very cool collab :)
When life gives you lemons, you make a giant lemon battery!
this video is the embodiment of when life gives you lemons
I'm so used to William's explanations that I'm genuinely surprised someone can actually explain something
@JJ Flores the slim guy, the one with the hats
@JJ Flores William Osman...the person who Mark Rober was collaborating with to make the world's largest lemon battery
im confused who is william
Mark: *Gives a real scientific explanation in simple terms*
William: "Imagine stuffing cats into a bag"
USAGI - And someone who can actually explain it to children as well. Literally in William's video it was just completely chaotic and hilarious how little information the kids he was talking to actually understood, while with Mark they literally took that information from him and built something from it on their own (for the most part)
When life gives you lemons
Mark: a lot of sour power
I wish I had as many family friends as mark
this is the definition of “Knowledge is Power”
You literally crushed it in this one, bravo.
Why do I feel like there's always an incredibly satisfying montage in all of marks videos
Imagine he was your science teacher and said: “Ok today we are doing an experiment”
@sold hi megumin
Here we go again...
I WISH
That would be fun
But i wish he was my teacher
That would be a dream come true cus my science lessons at school are the worst
Legends still say that Mark is still driving to Colorado with his giant electric generator.
Mark: "Even things like wind turbines are really solar powered because the wind blows when the sun heats up the atmosphere unevenly."
Me: 🤯😳🤯
I'm learning so much here!
i wish i were one of those kids and get to be around with you and doing science stuffs...
I still don’t understand how some of those lemons aren’t sold in grocery stores. They look fine to me
''When life gives you lemons'' has reached a whole other level
Imagine if mark rober collaborated with Michael Reeves and made the largest taser
Lemon powered taser
Love it
Thats called an electric chair
That thing would destroy the world
The 2 MR's
great video mark but wouldn't driving the zipline back up the hill diminish the effect of the regeneration or atleast reduce the charging speed
These videos are incredible!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mark: This is amazing and refreshing
Moments later: Im not going to finish this
think we can all agree that Mark never fails to entertain us
