Texture Pack - Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Ep 18

I like the fact that Red and Yellow were too lazy to put the textures back where they belong and possibly did a harder task of just replacing them with the wrong blocks.

Before I even watch any further, I just want to point out how this one first scene of the house shows off the characters' personalities, preferred aesthetics, and fields of expertise and interests...
Orange - simple, cozy, comforting, nothing too special, other than a bed, because they must be very tired, to the point where they just wanna nap. Simple wooden walls with a roof.
Green, focusing on the aesthetics of it all, refined and elegant taste in architecture, interior design, and all forms of art. Light "rich people" colours of the house.
Blue taking a more naturalistic approach, enjoying nature, and probably being The Chef of the group. _plus the nether wart addiction_ Literally has a branch going out of their tree-like floor.
Yellow, my beloved, so techy, so into redstone, mechanisms, urban and practical "styles", constantly experimenting and exploring new things. Cold, stoney floor, but well-lit.
Red - seemingly tough and cool, but honestly just a softie, caring for fauna, leaning into a more "civlisation in harmony with nature". Sturdy brick house taking up half of the roof, the other half being that nice little cozy place.
I like them.
Edit a whole year later: Imagine Alan coming home high, and seeing this. 💀

I like how they just accepted their lives with the messed up texture pack.

Just rewatched this and noticed something. When this came out, King and Purple dont show up yet until episode 21 where Purple shows up at the end and episode 22 when King is introduced. However, there's a subtle hint towards them from 2:30 - 3:00 when the parrots choose their colors. First King's color and then Purple's.

the thing i love most about these animations are just how lively and animated the mobs are compared to how they’re just kind of still in the game

makes you wonder if alan had to re-install Minecraft after this one

Imagine what Alan would have thought if he saw his desktop like that.

The clownfish acting as an arrow and the bucket of clownfish is the bow is pure GENIUS

Jokes aside, I'm really curious as to where Alan is canonically in this universe when the stick figures get into all of these shenanigans and if he ever learns about these "incidents"? Like when they had to reset his computer after yellow started playing with too many command blocks or when they traveled to different computers through Minecraft or the events of this episode

Knowing Alan the texture pack file will most likely be consistent with the actual animation. He’d go the length.

Orange and Yellow fighting using eggs was the most hilarious thing I have ever see.

Years later, Alan still has the talent.
I can only imagine how many hours he puts into this just to entertain us.

By the way, just this single video alone took 24504 drawings for alan becker. This is why you need to be appreciative (assuming that he draws in the regular 24 fps for animations)

Alan Becker is so good at his animations it’s unbelievable! I can’t imagine what he’s imagining

I love how every character has it's own personalities even tho we can't see their expressions;
-Red,the tough guy that knows how to treat and create animals and even teach'em cool tricks.
Green,the perfectionist superb that know everything about stuff that are related to Art.
Yellow,the engineer that has talent to create and modify systems and code complex programs.
Blue,the fancy one that is always looking for new kinds of food and knows a lot about alchemy(also,addicted to netherwarts...)
And Orange. Let's just say...He's special,and everybody knows it

Never thought I would see Stickmen eating swords

I really like it how Alan literally lives out of minecraft's rules. He's creates animations which we can't even replicate without screwing up one little detail. Its really inspiring to me and I wish I had the patience and effort to make animation exactly like Alan does. Those who dislike the videos are just jealous that they cannot reach a level as high as alan.

I love how they just give up and accept their new reality. It's hilarious.

I love how instead of placing the textures in the right places, they decided to rebuild the ENTIRE HOUSE.

The talents and personalities (As much as I could gather)
Red- Animal lover, he also acts tough and is good at sword fights. He knows when to hold back or try to fix his k
Mistakes...or possibly alter them into good.
Green- The musician, also an amazing designer and builder and a fine cook (with normal food)
Yellow- The engineer, he knows how to make the simplest tasks by making a complicated machine (like making...flying machines fast travel...possibly even escalators and elevators)
Blue- The alchemist, he knows how to do potions. He likes experimenting quite a lot, mixing sugar with gunpowder? Then using it to make TNT. He makes some inventions that are cool and some that are useless.
Orange-The leader, who makes sure everthing is in check. He is good at strategies, and is a fast thinker. He knows when to pull out a sword or lend a hand, all he wants is his friends to be ok. And his friends are idiots who accidentally kills themselves when tryjng to experiment so he tries to keep them outta danger thenneeds to sleep but then
BOOM. BAM. CHRISTMAS HAM. THEY'RE AT IT AGAIN!

That egg (sword) battle had me dead. I couldn't with the egg texture lmao

The thing I like about his animations is that the physics make so much sense.

Imagine the current state of Alan’s computer. The desktop is probably an image of a BSOD.

Can we just appreciate how Alan took soo much effort and time to make this ! I tried making one of these and it took me 2 weeks! And still it's not good enough beat this!

What I love about these is how it "breaks the fourth wall" in very creative ways!

The trident being a steak and swords being eggs are singlehandedly the best things ever

The simple solution is to start with the first texture and put it where it belongs and go on from there(Ex. Oak wood is iron ore, go to iron ore file and put whatever is in iron ore where it goes

i like the fact that yellow just goes in to the fies of textures to swap the observer with the trap door. after that it just gets meesy.

I love how they are finally living peacefully after what they have been through.

I’m glad at least one instance on missing textures made it in there, near the end when the parrots eat some missing texture beetroot seeds. I thought the TNT would have caused all the texture sprites to have flown out of the file window, causing all the textures to become missing textures, but that’s not what happened.

You can tell a lot of effort was put into making the sounds and the actual blocks and the texture mappings in the block folders consistent

as advanced as this is, this type of stick figure animation takes me back to a better time, before everone went batshit crazy politics :D

The fact that this is a stick figure with a clear head which is one of the *FIRST* drawing a child makes mixed with good camera angles and the cinematicness of an anime is amazing. (I'm talking about the sneak peek)
