You all did such an awesome job. I know it's been a TON of work, but you aren't afraid to learn new things and you pay so much attention to detail and it REALLY shows. It's really something to be proud of and especially since it's been a family effort. SO proud of you all. Can't wait to see Sarah's reaction when she see's it in person.
Love the paint color, adds warmth to the rooms. The color is very similar to the color we have in all the rooms that we painted years ago. I used a power paint roller many many years ago and I thought that wnt very well.
What a wonderful looking job!! You guys are absolutely professional in my eyes! I truly believe that they'd make it look exactly like yours so I am glad that you were able to get it done yourselves!!!!
Time lapse was good as we could see the difference as it went on. I’ve never sprayed before but after watching this I must give it a try. Was it a lot faster than just rolling? Great job and glad to see the walls finished.
It looks really good Folks!!! Nice work!!! The texture on the walls and ceiling looks better than I expected. Its a nice touch! HVAC tip... we used to spray our register boxes and return boxes (I think you called them the vents) with flat black paint. That way you don't see the glare of light on the sheet metal through the defusers and grills. Just a nice finished touch. Cheers!
My house is all white, walls and ceiling. There is a bonus to that, that maybe you haven't come to yet but when one is older, complete white negates the need for wearing glasses all the time. Apart from the fact that it always looks fresh and clean - great job you have done.
Great job! Love the way you two work together so well. On my Kindle Fire the final color has a slight yellow tint to it. We sell Benjamin Moore at the Ace Hardware I work for. Good quality paint. Have a blesed Easter week.
Looks really wonderful now the top coats are on. Only problem is I had to clean my computer screen as I could see all the muck on it when you had finished painting.
Congratulations. It looks fantastic. I love simply white you will never be upset with it and the hardest work is now behind you. What an adventure this has been guys. Thank you for sharing.
Nice job with primer! Good, solid coat of primer seals texture and will help reduce amount of final paint needed... and primer is MUCH less costly! Color pigment in paint tends to settle to the bottom. So, unless full 5 gal is mixed up before pouring half into another bucket, it makes sense the color looked different between them.
It takes a little practice to be able to get the right speed down so that you’re not putting on too much paint for the person rolling behind you I do it for a living Also usually with semi gloss paint I don’t put any water in it the primer could’ve probably used it because it was a highbuild primer That’s why the spray dip was fingering a little bit
Martin, you look adorable in your tyvek suit! It IS just what you need for spray painting though. I used a power paint roller instead. (I've used both.) The power roller is almost as fast as the spray painter, but is a one pass (no post rolling effort) job. Also, no over spray. Just a through for when you do your main house. Looks like you did a really good job! It's hard work no matter how you cut it. Yup, second coat doesn't soak in, so you spray about 1/3 as much paint. Also, The paint fumes will make you high as a kite (ie. you need to ventalate!!!) Remember next time! 😀👍👍
Hey guys doing a great job. Just remember when you paint new drywall it acts like a giant sponge, so your going to go through the paint and you should be using a 3/4 inch roller nap. It holds more paint. And years down the road when you repaint you won’t go through so much paint. I’m a professional painter and do drywall taping and muddying and texturing. Keep up the great work
Looks good. But you do also the rolling over it to get the texture of a role. If you later on need to repaint a part of the wall, you will never match the texture of the spray, but the one with the rollerr :D
Sprayers waste a lot of paint (It falls to the ground) I like using an 18" roller for most of the walls, and a 9" near windows and the smaller wall portions. You have to roll anyway even after spraying. But It looks fantastic! I LOVE that texture you guys did!! Keep up the great work..
The paint really did make a major transformation of your job site. It looked really great. I know that paint does improve the appearance. If it did not change the way things look, why would we use paint at all? Paining and removing the protective coverings has brought you a long way forward, well done.
I think you are smart going with white walls and ceilings because, 1) It's easier, 2) It's brighter, and 3) You can add accent colors with rugs, artwork, furniture, and pillows.
There was a time I painted ceiling, walls, and anything not wood trim a bright, lemon yellow, quality, high gloss paint. I wanted it brighter (and durable hence the high gloss) and when I walked in to begin removing the taped newspaper over windows and woodwork I was having a few moments if self doubt which got worse when the windows were uncovered. In the end, I LOVED it but did go on to have more indoor, green leaved plants than ever before because they toned down the bright yellow very pleasantly.
Looks great,do you have to clean the pipework at the end of the day,I know from experience that you can get real problems if it dries over night, the jet gets blocked, have fun!
It is better to have tools and not need them than it is to not have tools and need them. Great job Johnsons. BTW you can have them tint the primer the same as your color, for the main house
Another consideration with the paint sprayer is nozzle size. size 15 came with my machine and it throws down a lot of paint. There are many nozzles sizes that control volume of paint.
If you're thinking of an accent wall - consider a cloth covering instead. As needed, seam strips of cloth to a whole wall covering size. Then use the VERY fine finishing nails, as fine as what will hold up under the tension of the cloth chosen, to secure the cloth to the wall; these nails come narrower in diameter than many staples.
I am retired after a 30 year career in the paint and coatings industry and I commend your choice on Benjamin Moore primer and paint. Their coatings are of the industry's finest and Regal is the flagship of their product line. My homes were only painted with Benjamin Moore products inside and out. You will be very pleased with the results and the longevity this product delivers. Great value and choice. I've told customers for years that coatings are still one of things in this world that you get what you pay for. I enjoy your videos, your family, and your life choices. Best of luck in all you do!!
well before you put in your cabinets it would be best to do all the flooring that way if you ever change this in the kitchen there will be flooring down so not need to keep the same layout just a thought keep up the great work looking very good
IMPORTANT DETAILS on spray painting. Do a test spray before to make sure the pressure is good. When you hold the spray handle TRY to maintain an even distance from the wall. Always hold the sprayer straight to the wall and DO NOT angle it to one side up or down or else you risk the paint being applied unevenly. Watch videos of pros doing it on youtube and watch their techniques. Lastly when you are done find a bucket of water and drop the supply hose into it and spray water via the gun back into the supply bucket so all the paint gets flushed out. This will be a fast change so be prepared. Have a good light handy so you can check the coverage by shining the light on the wall to check for bareish spots.
Hi, you should not use a drill driver to mix the paint or mud. You can get a “slow” driver that is made for mixing paddles and will work great, a normal drill will mix it too fast and introduce air bubbles into the paint. The proper tool will not only mix at a slower rate, but you will also not run the risk of burning the drill out

You guys did a great job. Paint makes for a huge transition in the project, and if Sarah wants to ad some color in the future, we can help her out!!
It's always amazing the difference a couple of coats of paint can make. The place is really taking shape guys!
Looking good guys . Your whole build is fantastic. What a great experience you must be having working together. 😊
Looking great guys. If I didn't know any better I would've thought you hired a professional crew to paint that apartment!
Time-lapse videos are just so satisfying ! Well done guys !
Hi guys the apartment is starting to look great can not wait to see it finished
eu também não vejo a hora de ficar pronto 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Amazing how clear the difference is between the white primer and the "white" final coat. Looks good!
Wow it looks great, well done you guys, I love the color. It's coming together now for the fun part, kitchen cabinets and floors!
What a huge difference! Looks like a totally different place! Looks great!
Looks great, well done to you both.
Beautiful work you two. You’ve done meticulous work and it’s been an honor to follow your build.
Hello Sharron
It looks great, y'all! Now the finish line is so near! Woo hoo!
Julie, you're getting really good at the closing.
Your apartment looks fantastic! Great job!
Great job on the painting team Johnson. Looks fantastic. Very enjoyable to watch, start to finish.

You both are doing an excellent job. Keep it up. Good choice of a sprayer.
You guys have done a fantastic job on the build. I would live there. (In the summer)
How exciting and wonderful to get yet another big set of tasks and item checked off the list. Its even one you can most definitely notice visually.
Time lapse was good as we could see the difference as it went on. I’ve never sprayed before but after watching this I must give it a try. Was it a lot faster than just rolling? Great job and glad to see the walls finished.
Looks great guys. Good job done.
Looking good ya'll. Not too much longer and you'll be moving in. Great job!

Looks amazing. Way to go! Thanks for sharing
Paint makes such a big difference. Great job everyone. Now the floor and the finishing touches..
Make sure that you use mold resistant paint in the bathroom. You both work very well together.
Ooo hoo! It’s amazing what paint will do for a room! Great job y’all!

I really like the color you went with. I agree it might help on the dark overcast days. Good job👍🤗❤
Looks awesome Johnsons!! Great job.. now for the next step so exciting!!
Love the progress! Everything is looking so good. We checked out Keeping It Dutch also, thanks for the recommendation.
Looks good. But you do also the rolling over it to get the texture of a role. If you later on need to repaint a part of the wall, you will never match the texture of the spray, but the one with the rollerr :D
Looks fantastic! I know you can't wail until it's done & you can relax a little bit.

You all are doing a great job...
Awesome job guys reminds me of when we did ours many years ago
I was thinking the same thing.
Just an idea, make a line of chalk marks spaced out around the room to see where you have left off and to check your coverage.
Looks great keep up the good work enjoy watching

Really nice job guys!
If you do any more painting, have the paint shop tint the primer the same color as the top coat.
Great work y'all stay safe and keep smiling
It looks stunning!!! Wow!
Looks great,do you have to clean the pipework at the end of the day,I know from experience that you can get real problems if it dries over night, the jet gets blocked, have fun!

How exciting. Your place is getting closer to being finished.
It looks so beautiful 💫🥰🤗and a color that matches anything we desire to decorate with ....brite and clear 🥰

Finally done! You kept it exciting for a long time! ;-)
Tooooo long
well before you put in your cabinets it would be best to do all the flooring that way if you ever change this in the kitchen there will be flooring down so not need to keep the same layout just a thought
keep up the great work looking very good
The Great Job you did would have been a little easier if Jules had a 3 foot extension handle on her roller!!

Looks great !!!
Wow, it looks great!
Por fin van a tener terminada una parte de la casa. 😁👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇪🇦🇪🇺
Don’t thin your paint! Use higher pressure on your sprayer.
It's looking good so far! Y'all look great in your moon suits!😂
Looking really good!
Great job!
Is priming necessary, since you sprayed texture on already? Wouldn't that be sufficient as primer?
Looks great!!!!
Congrats GUY'S on getting everything painted. LOOKS GREAT.. U guy's look like two SPACE GUY'S . Great Job. lv ur videos.
How many hours did it take in total to complete the primer?
Very professional job. You will be happy with the color. Whitesmake rooms lookbig and it is nice and bright.
It’s a little late… but how come there’s not CAT5 around the house? It’s used for home automation, cameras, alarms, and internet.
