@BoomBoy219 sure what was Kendrick Nunn doing? Missed two seasons barely plays. We have more than enough good guards he was not needed. Now you have a bigger Athletic wing who can shoot. I am a real fan not fair weather fan
What Hachimura should do is help them win those close games. Nearly all of their recent losses have only been by a few points. Hopefully Rui will provide an additional scoring punch and get them back into playoff contention. That will also let AD heal up longer so that he can come back strong for the playoffs
@Puffy147x kinda quiet now, aren't ya? I don't hear or see you thumping your chest anymore. Where's the loudmouth claiming I was making irrelevant points? Better yet, WHERE IS RUI HACHIMURA?? Like I've said....doesn't move the needle at all.
I would give this move a B+ because it gives the Lakers some up size from the 3 to the 5 position, they had too many guards, and it gives guys like Lonnie Walker IV and Austin Reaves back to their primary position which is the 2 guard when they come back. So that balances out their roster. This is a good pickup.
That's precisely the point!!!! A plethora of guards make the Lakers go oftentimes small ball!!!! WTF, Coach Ham can't do anything but to force these guards to play at the 3 and sometimes the 4 which is really ridiculous!!!! Rob Pelinka made million of Lakers' fans happy and contented with this trade!!! Rui is a good defender, a pure 3 and D wing who can shoot outside and can pounce inside the rim!!!! Hope this will make Coach Ham easy to deploy his players without resorting to play "SMALL BALL" lineup with the addition of Rui!!!! Go go Lakers!!!!
Totally agree. Lakers have been getting killed on the boards without AD and Hachimura will be a corrective for that. Rui will also complement AD well when he returns.
@yUng2o3 naw that's facts he didn't do that well the first time around I just thought he would been a decent addition since Washington was already willing to make a trade but yea I don't think he does well with championship level expectations I feel like that's part of the reason he's been playing well with Washington all he has to do is hoop so I definitely agree
I like the trade since there's honestly potential for this Lakers team to do something. Dennis Schro, Thomas Bryant, and Russ have really stepped up these past couple weeks with AD, Lonnie, and Reaves out. Lakers have beaten the Nuggets, Grizzlies, Kings, Bucks, and have taken the Sixers and Celtics to OT. Not saying they're beating any of those teams in a playoff series right now but if they keep improving, Lakers will be scary to face assuming both Bron and AD play at a level near to what they have.
Im a nets fan, please dont use the word scary, it will come back to haunt you , 😕but you are right, we havent seen a 100% lakers yet, this team could still make playoffs and even winning the nba as long as theres no injury issue
Thomas Bryant came from the Wizards, and he's everything the Lakers need rn. I think the Lakers got another piece they need. Rui can start or come off the bench and play consistent. The Lakers traded an undersized 2 guard and picks they got from the Wizards before for a 3 and D player with good size that can help them win now.
Adam Morrison hype, also from Gonzaga Bulldogs, didn't turn out great for Lakers. Hachimura's full debut 12p, 4r and 1 put up Ben Simmons' numbers but less assists.
@Mr Amazing Right I get sick of hearing that term 3 and D just thrown out there Rui is a 33.7% 3pt shooter this season not great shooter Rui more of a create off dribble guy
Its not just about what he can do, but now what the other guards don't have to do. That makes a big difference when your guards can be guards because your roster is balanced.
I think he’s going to help more then people think. He can play the 3, 4 and even the 5 against some teams. He will allow the Lakers to reduce LBJ minutes and AD also. The key is if AD can stay healthy. Defensively he makes them better because of his length, he has large wingspan 😊
@Zachary Hendershott No disrespect, but they still need more shooting especially during the playoffs. Lebron and AD, for however long he can stay on the court, will need help.
@French I think adding a guy like Bojan Bogdonavic could be enough if AD can stay healthy, but we’ll see. Hachimura alone probably won’t be enough. We shall see.
Honestly Shannon's right. It all depends on AD. If he comes back healthy and gives us what he was doing prior to his injury this will be huge if not this trade means nothing.
It doesn't move the needle for them, but it's a nice addition. I'm just glad that Rui finally has a real chance to play and show what he has to give. He was the 9th overall pick in his draft, so there had to be something worthwhile about him.
I like this for the Lakers. AD is back by Boston from what I'm hearing. And Rui won't be forced to create on this team he will be needed to pop n shoot. I love him in that role. I think Ham can help him improve defensively. Rui is 6'8" with a 7'2" wingspan. That can make him very disruptive if he gets better. He isn't however making his debut tonight. We gotta wait
@Free Smoke I dont care about last season numbers I care about this season numbers so hold this L and Rui 33.7% 3pt having a playmaker has nothing to do with a individual player shot going it hold this L and Lakers dont have the goat on they team Michael Jordan
@Jbill Stream this season he’s struggling without a true playmaker so look at last years numbers and he’s over 40%!! Nobody on the team is a true PG!! We got Russ, Schroeder and the GOAT!!
Cavs in 2014/2015 season they were 19wins 20losses. They traded for mosgov, jr, and shump. Got lbj back from injury and they went on to win 50 games and make the finals. I’m not saying the lakers will do this but getting AD back and making moves like this could move the lakers to the play in. Could be interesting but I doubt it’ll do much because AD is glass
All I will say is this makes them a contender I’ve been watching Rui awhile and he’s got potential to be so great and he will definitely show up when it matters for them
nah. he was solid in washington but playing with lebron makes everyone worse. just watch kendrick nunn will show great improvement and rui will fall off
I love these two together even though they get rambunctious, they are a perfect fit cause regardless of anything skip enjoys Shannon’s company you can just tell
I actually think this guy is a big pickup for the Lakers bc he will stretch the floor and play D and he can dunk of LeBron. Team needed someone who can do those things this is a 7/10
Honestly, I know they need size but with him coming off the bench they can cut down a lot of leads or outright bury teams down the stretch without tiring out the starters.
@mrmoney6767 I didn't say a word about Pat Bev, I'm talking about Rui and what he brings to the table. So what if he's a better fit than Pat Bev? Its irrelevant to whether this takes the Lakers to another level, which IMO it doesn't for what Bron/AD are playing for at this stage of their careers.
@Israel you think pat bev stands a better chance than rui cmon now he doesn’t have to be the best 1 on 1 defender he just needs to be disruptive and when ad gets back you have that help at the rim
True...but he can't guard wings. I don't think he can play big mins next to AD/Bron especially in playoff moments (assuming they make it) where teams have time to game plan. He's not a great distance shooter and defensively he doesn't upgrade them.
People talking about him dropping 30 pts last game against the magic, but in the game before that he had 0 pts on 0-7 shooting. Rui’s problem has always been his effort. Hopefully he can turn it around in LA.
@2M Bandz Yeah I wish him the best. It was hard for him to get consistent minutes on the Wizards because every time he would get going, he would either get injured or take a leave of absence due to personal reasons.
It's been tough for him to get a consistent role in DC with Kuz ascending so lets see what he can do with a consistent 15-20 mins but ill for sure take heed to what you said on him being inconsistent with his effort!
Any other year you can look at this maybe as a "meh" trade, but the Lakers at 22/25 are only 2 games out of the 6 seed and 4 games out from the 3😳. Hachimura now allows them to put Reaves and Lonnie Walker back at their natural 2 positions and perfectly balances the roster. Rui is young, athletic, makes a lot corner 3s, can post up and not a bad defender..Nunn was playing better lately but this is the kind of trade I have been hoping for..
He didn't wanna be on the Wizards. Whether it was management or coaching or teammates, he wanted out and i think he'll respond well to Ham's coaching style. If we can get Rui to commit on defense he could be a GREAT defender. I'm stoked, sometimes a change is all you need to bring the best out of a player
Nice trade, reminds me of Ariza a little bit. But It's not "the lights" or "expectations" playing with LeBron, it's the fact that you need to go stand in the corner and wait for him to kick it out lol. He turns a lot of guys into one dimensional spot up shooters whether that's their game or not.
It's still a good trade considering that he might be a viable future player for them, maybe even get under the wings of their veteran players, and strengthen their defense. However, Lakers are dependent on LeBron and AD rn. Unless those two drive the team, they are going nowhere. The West is dangerous.
Shannon hit it right in the money players be making shots else where but when it comes to Playing for the Lakers they shy away because of the bright lights and the pressure of playing with Bron 💯👍
@Dats a paddlin riding with Lebron to a ring is different than excelling on a championship team. Kyrie and AD are the only stars to pair with Lebron and maintain the individual production that they had prior. Literally any and every other star to play with Lebron has saw their stats and overall impact decrease….or “sacrificed” for the sake of winning a ring. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the point is you can’t say Lebron makes players around him better when all tangible evidence actually contradicts that EXCEPT the “they won a ring” argument
@Damon Jones He helped make those goes be champions man. You can put Prime Lebron with a star and they gonna eventually win a ring. AD and Kyrie can’t just win with any star. Lebron and Steph are the only players that could win with any other star in their prime that I have seen in the last decade and that’s why they are considered top 10 players all time rn. People also tried to say players can’t excel with Lebron and you just said they could. They all were still all stars other than Westbrook at a certain point with Lebron so he didn’t take away individual success from them like how some people say.
@Dats a paddlin he didn’t make those guys better, he actually allowed for them to be themselves. If you watch any Lebron led team since he left Miami, the recipe has always been to surround Lebron with 3 n D guys. But when it comes to AD and Kyrie, the only way you’re going to get the best out of them is to let them be their own man.
@Dats a paddlin Good Westbrook point, imma let u have that 🤣🤣.. You sure u ain't Shannon Sharpe!? Boy out here defending LeBron like he at Crypto front row
@Mason Curtiss Yeah if you also check his advanced stats and analytics. He is a poor defender for his position when compared to other big men at the PF position which is bad. Hopefully with a new environment and consistent minutes he gains a newfound motivation to play plus he is on a bigger stage in LA than in Washington, gotta make those japanese fans proud
@Anthony Mckinley he is. Dude doesn’t have the drive on the defensive end. He has the tools to be a good defender but he just isn’t. I’ve seen it game after game.
This is a great opportunity for Rui to shine - so this should work out - we shouldn't so many guards on this squad, I see more of these guards getting offloaded.
If Hachimura had another year on his contract the Wizards wouldn't have made this deal. The Wizards are trying to give Kyle Kuzma his payday and they also have Deni Avdija that plays the same position.
Remember when FS1 started all of these shows like 5 years ago? Remember how almost all, if not all, of them had former athlete co-hosts? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Shannon is the only one left and has been for a while. This shows you how seriously he takes this and how much he enjoys his craft. Skip deserves high-praise for requesting Shannon to be his co-host.
I love the move. It’s a sneaky trade but definitely not a needle mover. I kinda wish the Lakers held onto two of those second round picks. I still want them to get Buddy Hield but I don’t see how now
People and Bball youtubers felt like Rui Hachimura could have gotten the Wizards a 1st Round pick, so the lakers getting him for a couple of 2nd Round picks(which rarely turn out to be good) is a bargain, plus he'll be there in LA for a good amount of time as he wants to have a contract extension which the Wizards did not want to give him.
Rui needs a little more seasoning, but he has all-star potential. Wizards probably can't resign him due to the big money they invested in Beal. Thomas Bryant is a similar ex-Wizard, but he can get overpowered.
Nah, I have zero regrets with Nunn being out. Especially after that heart attack of a Grizzlies game. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors but the Lakers didn’t lose much when it comes to his play, I’ll tell you that.
Rui is good SF depth. I also think woth him being only 24 25... with no first round picks they are banking he will be able to play hard and ease into bigger role next season.
Rui is a good player, he played really well with Westbrook, he was the reason the Wizards won one game in the playoff series against the 76ers, he can be a good 3rd best player and great 4th best player on a team.
I like the trade tho…and he’s played with Russ so they got chem. And if and that’s a big f’n IF AD stays healthy 🙏 and with Bron ballin out and the other guys stepping up and get healthy hopefully these guys can make a run 💯 I like the balance of the NBA this season a lot of teams playing great. Glad to see the Kings putting in work too 🔥🏀
@jerkitlb I agree that he helps in that he's a talented young player, plus they gave up peanuts for him...but his efficiency will definitely take a hit with more volume and more high pressured moments, which he hasn't really had in DC. He's gonna get put in constant pick/roll action and Bron is also a P/R target for teams so I don't think Lakers will be able to hide him defensively if he gets big mins.
@Israelif he maintains his shooting efficiency from 3 on open shots it’ll pay dividends, + he is 6’8 7’2 wingspan, his defense is shaky, but having Bron the highest IQ player of all time, Reaves a good perimeter defender and AD a DPOY candidate, should make it easier for him to slide in at PF and play the Kuzma role
As a die-hard and long-suffering Wizards fan, there is this weird misconception in the media that Rui is a three-point shooter but he really isn't at all. Admittedly he has added that to his game this year, but his real strength is the in-between game, driving and pulling up, and posting up at the elbow. Not the greatest defensive player, but he definitely has the tools to be. As usual, the Wizards are completely clueless with an utterly useless coach. This team is stacked with talent.
I think u need to Google the definition of "tremendously" my guy cause Rui has had 1 fairly good season & the rest were trash even by the Wizards standards. If u actually did your homework you'd see he's been teetering on the cusp of being sent to the G-League he was so awful. Best thing u guys got going is his best season was with Westbrook but now that he's in LA he's gonna have to deal with the pressure of delusional Laker stans expecting him to be some sort of savior & that's not him but hey you Laker stans do it to yourselves at this point so I have no sympathy whatsoever
@Semperityy ! with ad coming back hopefully healthy this definitely moves the needle. A great finishing wing who can shoot with length you can’t beat that
Listen to The Skip Bayless Show podcast: sprtspod.fox/SkipBaylessShowPodcast
That ain’t Nunn of your business.
We all here for Shannon not skip ‼️🤝🏾
Unc It's all good they got you goin... Skip quit talking and put up sum Dew😂😂
Your guys only talk about lebron. You got 28 teams and 200+ players in the nba. Damn
Just the fact Rui knows how to play basketball and wants to be on the lakers are good enough for me. Happy to root for him and see what he can do
@Joi ri is going
@BoomBoy219 sure what was Kendrick Nunn doing? Missed two seasons barely plays. We have more than enough good guards he was not needed. Now you have a bigger Athletic wing who can shoot. I am a real fan not fair weather fan
@M Baker most definitely gonna revisit this comment in about a month
@blueberrybumbum He looks like Giannis mixed with Jeremy Lin.
Im liking the fact skil has been a true realist on his analyst work for the past week
What Hachimura should do is help them win those close games. Nearly all of their recent losses have only been by a few points. Hopefully Rui will provide an additional scoring punch and get them back into playoff contention. That will also let AD heal up longer so that he can come back strong for the playoffs

@dirkbuller333 I don't think they would....they would've took what they gave for that young guy
@filayyhe’s coming back tonight. Rui is also making his debut!

I would say it is B+ with A side upside potential.
Totally agree. Lakers have been getting killed on the boards without AD and Hachimura will be a corrective for that. Rui will also complement AD well when he returns.
Exactly
@yUng2o3 naw that's facts he didn't do that well the first time around I just thought he would been a decent addition since Washington was already willing to make a trade but yea I don't think he does well with championship level expectations I feel like that's part of the reason he's been playing well with Washington all he has to do is hoop so I definitely agree

@Jarren H a ring is a ring dude.
@Jazchong2519 Lakers are not a threat to anyone. Period.
Im a nets fan, please dont use the word scary, it will come back to haunt you , 😕but you are right, we havent seen a 100% lakers yet, this team could still make playoffs and even winning the nba as long as theres no injury issue
@Brandon Penn What delusion?? He didn't say they were contenders or anything.
@GoDzkRoNiKz LOL. No, sorry. They are not a threat whatsoever.
@Mr Amazing
Right I get sick of hearing that term 3 and D just thrown out there
Rui is a 33.7% 3pt shooter this season not great shooter
Rui more of a create off dribble guy
@Mr Amazing lonnie been sniping since spurs please stop it
Rui is not a 3, nor a D player... He's still a good addition, and Lonnie wasn't good at 3s until Lebron & Russ so we'll see.
Wizards got him from us. We originally drafted him
Its not just about what he can do, but now what the other guards don't have to do. That makes a big difference when your guards can be guards because your roster is balanced.
@Billum Grillum What a radical comment. When did you become a political activist?
@Freedom is Universal Healthcare nurses can’t 360 windmill
@Freedom is Universal Healthcare well they generate more revenue tbh. Be mad at the owners making exponentially more
@Freedom is Universal Healthcarecool story
Nurses and teachers are more important. Radical and political that some basketball players get paid more
When Shannon asking for the points on the bet and Skip goes "you got hachimura on your team now" and they both cracked up 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think he’s going to help more then people think. He can play the 3, 4 and even the 5 against some teams. He will allow the Lakers to reduce LBJ minutes and AD also. The key is if AD can stay healthy. Defensively he makes them better because of his length, he has large wingspan 😊
I actually really like this move. If they add a top tier 3 point shooter they should be in a pretty decent place in my opinion.
@French Yeah, that’s what I said lol No disrespect at all, you’re agreeing with me 😂
@Zachary Hendershott No disrespect, but they still need more shooting especially during the playoffs. Lebron and AD, for however long he can stay on the court, will need help.
@French I think adding a guy like Bojan Bogdonavic could be enough if AD can stay healthy, but we’ll see. Hachimura alone probably won’t be enough. We shall see.
Don't think it will be enough. Too bad they gave away some very good guys who could play some defense and decent at shooting the ball.....
@Zachary Hendershott AD + HACHIMAN . SPURS 97 - LAKERS 112 1/25/2023
I like this trade! Lakers have enough guards so trading one away for a solid forward, really brings new, necessary energy!
I notice Skip been real humble lately to Shannon
@Prestigini Adams is the strongest player in the NBA and 20 years younger. Adams wrecks him. How a prime Shannon is a toss up
@Hank Hill have you seen pics of Shannon? He would beat the bricks of Adam’s
Me tooo
@skinfuel that may be true but he's 20 years younger and has like 9 inches on him. Not to mention he's just as strong if not stronger
@Hank Hill aquaman cant fight
He's great addition. Young dude with defense and athleticism. Just what we needed. We still have moves to make. More shooting and a rim protector
@Rahqoun that's the thing. He's too injury prone. Don't want him being the sole rim protector on our team. He won't last.
Ad is one of the best rim protectors in the league , you’re good you just need bro to actually play
Honestly Shannon's right. It all depends on AD. If he comes back healthy and gives us what he was doing prior to his injury this will be huge if not this trade means nothing.
Bro yall need to give up on that dream, AD has potential to be top 10 all time but he's made of tissue paper and not even the double ply brand lol
It doesn't move the needle for them, but it's a nice addition. I'm just glad that Rui finally has a real chance to play and show what he has to give. He was the 9th overall pick in his draft, so there had to be something worthwhile about him.
Ima miss rui. One of the best players we had on and off the wizzards.
As soon as Nunn got trade value they used it 😂😂
😂😂🎯
@All Time Hustle wrong check his numbers per minute
@Young Ju Kendrick nunn sucked for the lakers, he couldn’t shoot anything, the coach made a good choice not playing him
Facts
@Bg Ty actually he wasnt just standing in the corner. The problem was that he wasnt standing on the court enough. Dumb coach
The Wizards are basically being used for spare parts by the Lakers now 😂. I’ll take the trade though.
Hey..... they got Kuz
I think this a good move on the low Nunn wasn't a factor being hurt 2 yrs in LA, Rui is a pf/sf which they needed was size & a shooter good pick up
I like this for the Lakers.
You can tell Skip is watching his words now
Great move for the Lakers. Hachimura has size, can shoot, plays defense and has a rapport with Russell Westbrook.
@Free Smoke I dont care about last season numbers I care about this season numbers so hold this L and Rui 33.7% 3pt having a playmaker has nothing to do with a individual player shot going it hold this L and Lakers dont have the goat on they team Michael Jordan
@Fueg0 Gaming you got me
@Jbill Stream this season he’s struggling without a true playmaker so look at last years numbers and he’s over 40%!! Nobody on the team is a true PG!! We got Russ, Schroeder and the GOAT!!
@Free Smoke
Rui 33.7% 3pt shooter so try again just trying to twist it like hes some great shooter hes not 🤣🤣
Rui shoots 40% off catch & shoot!!!
They gained alot with that one trade they finally got someone that can and will actually play defense
@George La Flare and the Lakers are worst then that on defense 🤷🏽♂️
@hello man not a Lakers fan by any means actually im one of the biggest laker haters on earth I just know what that man brings to the table 🤡
Defense? 😂😂😂 (L)aker’s fans on some copium
Rui is actually pretty mid on defense
And crash the boards.
Big fan of that word choice 😅✍🏾🤜🏾. And ditto bro
Facts people wanna see them split
I actually think this guy is a big pickup for the Lakers bc he will stretch the floor and play D and he can dunk of LeBron. Team needed someone who can do those things this is a 7/10
Honestly, I know they need size but with him coming off the bench they can cut down a lot of leads or outright bury teams down the stretch without tiring out the starters.
Mark Few coached at Gonzaga so he'll defend the goal, rebound, take a charge or two and pass the ball to the open man..
This is a win for the Lakers Rui is a solid player
Lakers now have a quality young player at the wing position without giving much up
@Israel I brought up pat bev because he was having to guard the wings
@mrmoney6767 I didn't say a word about Pat Bev, I'm talking about Rui and what he brings to the table. So what if he's a better fit than Pat Bev? Its irrelevant to whether this takes the Lakers to another level, which IMO it doesn't for what Bron/AD are playing for at this stage of their careers.
@Israel you think pat bev stands a better chance than rui cmon now he doesn’t have to be the best 1 on 1 defender he just needs to be disruptive and when ad gets back you have that help at the rim
@Israel better than nunn at least
True...but he can't guard wings. I don't think he can play big mins next to AD/Bron especially in playoff moments (assuming they make it) where teams have time to game plan. He's not a great distance shooter and defensively he doesn't upgrade them.
Good pick up...imo they still need at least one more piece but since far, during the last month at least, they've been trending in the right direction
I'm getting excited just thinking about him and Lonnie running the fastbreak 😭😭
People talking about him dropping 30 pts last game against the magic, but in the game before that he had 0 pts on 0-7 shooting. Rui’s problem has always been his effort. Hopefully he can turn it around in LA.
Unseld not givin him enough minutes tho
@2M Bandz Yeah I wish him the best. It was hard for him to get consistent minutes on the Wizards because every time he would get going, he would either get injured or take a leave of absence due to personal reasons.
Not effort just staying on the basketball court and giving u points rebounds and being in the line up
It's been tough for him to get a consistent role in DC with Kuz ascending so lets see what he can do with a consistent 15-20 mins but ill for sure take heed to what you said on him being inconsistent with his effort!
I have always liked him since his Gonzaga days. I think this is a great move
We miss Kuzma😔
He didn't wanna be on the Wizards. Whether it was management or coaching or teammates, he wanted out and i think he'll respond well to Ham's coaching style.
If we can get Rui to commit on defense he could be a GREAT defender. I'm stoked, sometimes a change is all you need to bring the best out of a player
If Rui wakes up as the Japanese Giannis that scouts like to call him so much, then Lakers could even become dark horse contenders in their peak.
He needs to be Sakuragi or Rukawa...
I think more like Kawhi
@Vick_HushPuppy 215 not that. He's always injured
They look alike & that’s about it
Keeping our expectations modest, I see.
"you got a Hachimura on your team" LOL
I see rui really helping close out the close games. He's very young and decent 3 point shooter.

However, Lakers are dependent on LeBron and AD rn. Unless those two drive the team, they are going nowhere. The West is dangerous.
I loved Nunn in the Heat but damn did he let me down when he came to my side. Hope to see him succeed in this league but I’m happy with this trade.
Honestly i like the trade. Better to have some potential currently than none at all.
So true
With everybody on this roster it will be mixed up with bryant and ad when he comes back.
Yea it's definitely a step in the right direction I think they still need to get one more piece like rui to really be in a good spot
I like the picks the wizards got 3 draft picks
@bagoboy24 Lol I just think he gets unfair hate. He’s won with every star other than Westbrook 😂
@Dats a paddlin Good Westbrook point, imma let u have that 🤣🤣.. You sure u ain't Shannon Sharpe!? Boy out here defending LeBron like he at Crypto front row
What Rui can do is help them with those late close ballgames plus he’s an underrated defender.
@Uncle Drew they're gonna stick him at SF and move Bron to PF/PG
@Mason Curtiss Yeah if you also check his advanced stats and analytics. He is a poor defender for his position when compared to other big men at the PF position which is bad. Hopefully with a new environment and consistent minutes he gains a newfound motivation to play plus he is on a bigger stage in LA than in Washington, gotta make those japanese fans proud
@Anthony Mckinley he is. Dude doesn’t have the drive on the defensive end. He has the tools to be a good defender but he just isn’t. I’ve seen it game after game.
@Mason Curtiss no he's not. Stop that
@Mason Curtiss thankfully he gets to learn from greatest basketball mind
lmao u know you outta line when Pat Bev telling you to calm down 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Solid pick up for Lebron and the lakers
This is a great opportunity for Rui to shine - so this should work out - we shouldn't so many guards on this squad, I see more of these guards getting offloaded.
If Hachimura had another year on his contract the Wizards wouldn't have made this deal. The Wizards are trying to give Kyle Kuzma his payday and they also have Deni Avdija that plays the same position.
Expect Hachimura to play at his highest level yet
It's a great move fills a need, could be really good it's on Rui
I'm still tripping about how they made Shannon apologized like he was draymond and punched the entire Grizzlies team lol
Rui is just what they need---can score inside and out!!!!!!!!! Great Trade for L.A----
As a wizards fan, I’m sad to see him go. As someone who lives in LA, I’m glad I’ll get to finally buy a lakers jersey.
We got fleeced, I’m not liking where the wizards are headed to right now.
I think it was a great pick up with immediate impact
I’m glad Lebron got some much needed help in the 4th quarter. The team is sharing the load.
Looking forward to those nice trick passes from Westbrook to Rui
Remember when FS1 started all of these shows like 5 years ago? Remember how almost all, if not all, of them had former athlete co-hosts? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Shannon is the only one left and has been for a while. This shows you how seriously he takes this and how much he enjoys his craft. Skip deserves high-praise for requesting Shannon to be his co-host.
ESPN took everyone away 😂 they was scared of undisputed
I remember these two in the preseason "Nunn didn't miss a single shot in practice". We're winning the chip. Now their golden boy gets traded.
Skip really on his best behavior these days 🤣
this was a nice move lakers 👍🏽
Rui needs a little more seasoning, but he has all-star potential. Wizards probably can't resign him due to the big money they invested in Beal. Thomas Bryant is a similar ex-Wizard, but he can get overpowered.
Nah, I have zero regrets with Nunn being out. Especially after that heart attack of a Grizzlies game. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors but the Lakers didn’t lose much when it comes to his play, I’ll tell you that.
This going to get the lakers to the 8 seed 💣
Rui is good SF depth. I also think woth him being only 24 25... with no first round picks they are banking he will be able to play hard and ease into bigger role next season.
"I want T Lue to leave the Clippers so I may properly root for him".... Shannon got jokes🤣🤣
You know you're acting wild when Pat Bev tells you to settle down 😂😂😂
This is a great pick up for the Lakers
I like Rui’s game he’s a solid player really fundamentally sound smart move Lakers ✨🏀
I wish we could've saw the highlights too 😕 😔
Nunn is going to thrive with the wizards.
A good sign for the Lakers is Rui shot 60% from three in the playoffs. Which means he could be one of those guys who thrive on the spotlight .
Great pick up for the lakers
Yes. Look at the metrics and he is a typical Bron teammate. Shoots well on spot up. 7'2" wingspan and only 24.
No
Rui is a good player, he played really well with Westbrook, he was the reason the Wizards won one game in the playoff series against the 76ers, he can be a good 3rd best player and great 4th best player on a team.
That was Hachimuras percentage last season. It's way down this season even though his overall numbers are up.
That was a great trade for the Lakers if they stay healthy
I like the trade tho…and he’s played with Russ so they got chem. And if and that’s a big f’n IF AD stays healthy 🙏 and with Bron ballin out and the other guys stepping up and get healthy hopefully these guys can make a run 💯 I like the balance of the NBA this season a lot of teams playing great. Glad to see the Kings putting in work too 🔥🏀
I’m confident Shannon watched 0 wizards game this season unless they playing Bron
😂😂 be hating on wizards
"They call him make up " 😂😂😂, shannon is gold 🥇
Russ already comfortable with Rui. Decent Move
Damn I was surprised Lakers got Rui … I wanted him in the draft, I think he will thrive with Lakers…
Good trade we needed a 6’8 wing
Except he can't guard wings and he's still a shaky 3pt shooter. Good move talent wise but I don't think he's a great fit next to Bron/AD
Skip today: he doesn’t matter, it’s nothing!
Rui hits one shot: He saved Lebrons legacy! He’s the closer!
Westbrook clicking back up with wizards players 😂
This is a phenomenal pickup
One paper for Shannon on the table and 105 papers for Skiiiiiip 😂
“All of a sudden they play with LeBron and then LeBron is the wind” 😂
Under the radar trade. I think it helps but they need to trade some pieces for better role players.
The Grizzlies continually making themselves a meme is pretty entertaining not gonna lie 🤣
Can’t get worse than it 😅, Anthony Davis needs to play 90% of the games until the end of the season.
So glad Kendrick Nunn has played decent enough to get traded
Rui has NEVER been talked about this much.
Glad to see skip and Shannon back vibin lol
*🇯🇵 IKUZOOO ✊🏿*
THIS WHAT THE LAKERS NEEDS 💛💜
And He Plays Well With Russ
I see Shannon didn’t do his homework. A wing like Rui with his size and skill set will help this Lakers team tremendously. This was a great move.
A great finishing wing who can shoot with length you can’t beat that
it was an OK move. it doesn’t move the needle much like shay said. but he can help defensively no doubt.
Pat Bev needing to calm down Shannon Sharpe makes me think I’ve accidentally travelled into a different dimension
Now I can finally root for the AZN bro…. 😂 great pick up for LAL for his size and age
This was a great trade in favor of Lakers
