That is where the heart of your channel is, Showing the more human side of your life. There are some very interesting stories people have to share. The people you work the people who are hired on to do tasks, shopkeepers and friends all give the human touch to your videos. This is what makes your vidoes extra interesting and connect stronger with your audience. Your a family. So keep looking for those opportunites. If your workers are playing music and having fun as they do their work, go over and talk to them. What are their names? What are their stories? This is what is going to distinguish you from just another decorating channel.

You both lucked out with each other. He's so chill and was completely unbothered by any renovations you might've made over the years, and truly meant it! My landlord would've been all over me for any changes, especially if he lived right below me. And Roger ended up with a tenant with an incredible eye and managed to improve his rental!
That’s what I thought! You can really see how giving really gives you back, because Roger was so nice with him at the beginning and ended up with a great tenant!

Pay to fix major things. Change old window frames, doors, buying bathroom and kitchen forniture. And even put up and tear down non estructural walls without telling anyone if they are willing to let go of the extra month of rent that one would get back when leaving the space unchanged but well taken care of. It's standard. As a matter of fact some landowners prefer it because it means they won't have to spend a penny on basic and very necessary maintenance. And they'll keep on stealing that extra month of rent. Edited to add: while some renters add value to their properties which allows them to kind of justifiably raise the rent to new tenants. Because after semi wealthy and responsible tenants leave, it doesn't matter who paid for stuff. The fact is that the apartments are in a much better state and are prettier. Our landlady is awfully greedy but she'll approve almost anything as long as she doesn't have to pay for it. And it's like that in most parts of the country. She treats most people like sh17 but she adores the former downstairs neighbours because they sucked up to her intensely no matter they left the space as if it had been bombed, left without paying 6 months of rent, clogged the toilet with cement out of spite when she asked them to leave after half a year of unpaid rent, broke the bathroom sink, left their patio with a patina of rancid fritters grease. And plagued the building with roaches from their filthy food stall cart that they cleaned twice in four years. Only very small landowners are humane or fair towards their tenants and follow the law. My dad inherited two commercial units that he rents out. I lived in an apartment building for 10 years and changed three apartments in that time. When we bought a house and told the landlord that we were leaving the building because we needed a bigger kitchen, he offered us the penthouse for next to nothing (5,000 sf) and said I could do whatever I wanted. But I moved out as I'd never lived in a single family home and wanted to experience that. I regret leaving the high rise!!!🤣
You're absolutely correct...he had pride of owning a nice space wherever he lived & besides, he's got a channel that he needs to feed with new stuff to write about...so it made perfect sense for him to do that...love3 what he does!

Your work is absolutely beautiful! Everything looks like it came out of a magazine. My jaw dropped when you showed him the room with the molding. The colors, the decorations, everything was just jaw dropping beautiful! When you gave us tore with your sweet landlord, I honestly felt like I was home. Each room look like it was a cozy place to be. And I love how each room was so unique. I too hope you give your landlord’s place a makeover as well. You really have to have a great eye to know how to find a place like this first and then how to redesign it to fit so well. How you’ve modernized it yet enhanced and refined so much of the old. Omg I just stumbled upon your channel and I’m absolutely thrilled ❤. You’re an amazing talented artist. I’ve been working on my home for a few years painting, installing new doors, tearing out old bathrooms, totally renovating the kitchen all without any contractors except for electrical and plumbing work but overall I’m happy with how things turned out. I lived in an apartment building for 10 years and changed three apartments in that time. When we bought a house and told the landlord that we were leaving the building because we needed a bigger kitchen, he offered us the penthouse for next to nothing (5,000 sf) and said I could do whatever I wanted. But I moved out as I'd never lived in a single family home and wanted to experience that. I regret leaving the high rise!!!🤣
You're absolutely correct...he had pride of owning a nice space wherever he lived & besides, he's got a channel that he needs to feed with new stuff to write about...so it made perfect sense for him to do that...love3 what he does!
