It’s hard to find genuine dentist who tells someone why this is better...thank you for helping people understand and being a good person and have true passion for what you do.
@Nicole Miller I have read your comment and it really affects me since i work in the same field In Turkey and Doctors here are talented also prices here are so affordable if you like i would leave you my number
@CG omg yes! It’s been six years for me and still the same nonsense. Dentist after dentist just simply not knowing what they are doing and ruining teeth, smiles, bites, and collecting money and then mad at you when you need to come back for improvements. They have zero knowledge about the musculoskeletal system, jaw etc, and no patience! Out of 20 dentist I’ve seen, I’ve been rushed by 19 and jacked up by every single one That I let touch my teeth! No lie! Yes, it’s absolutely sickening and sad. I wish we can do something about it as a people. I have written letters to the dental board in my state to no avail so out of desperation, I have fix my own teeth (temporarily) and I’ve also become very knowledgeable about the teeth and bite I’m basically a dentist, and a better more aware one smh!
I had a root canal and just had my permanent crown put on today. It feels weird but I suppose I have to get used to it. I appreciate the amount of detail and professionalism you all put into your work. Unfortunately I couldn’t save more of my natural tooth because the decay went underneath my filling in that molar. Cavities are vicious.
@§hell §treet yes but I had them for less than 3 years but I'm seeking maintenance to prevent that but the is no guarantee I won't but I hope I don't get a decay
Also I wouldn't be getting crowns joined together, definitely seperate individual crowns, cause when something goes wrong with 1 they'll have to remove the lot =$$$$ People need to do their homework prior having this done, & definitely a really good skilled dentist👌🏽 with experience I've personally had too much trouble with the young fresh outa school dentists, they aren't qualified enough to even inject anaesthetic, my Prosthodontist even agrees, nor can they read an x-ray properly I'm living proof of that!!..
@Doris Lives Well there's a good chance u may have decay underneath crowns, I'd just found out months ago after 10yrs of having them. And of course the public system overlooked decay on several occasions via x-ray!! Under 3 of my crowns front teeth & eye tooth, even tho u could see it in the gumline, my dentist said they cant be saved to my devastation so i got further opinions from private dentists & im now seeing a Prosthodontist in which he's cleaned the decay & they are saveable only just!! So I'm certainly paying $$ for it.. IF only they'd told me crowns generally only last 10yrs maybe 15yrs ~ Im in my 50's & was initally told they'd see me out!! I wished I had gotten veneers, dentist talked me out of it ~
Dr. Olson thank you for sharing this technology. I am a dental assistant student and we are practicing taking impressions and pouring models. It is very time consuming and can be hard for patients. I can’t wait to show my classmates this video. Please keep sharing and explaining procedures it helps so much. I hope this becomes common practice soon.
Overseas many of the dentist are offering very affordable Crowns vs composite veneers. Almost 70% less than the US and the work looks beautiful. I've watched both of your videos, so do you suggest not doing it even if the teeth are already shaven?
Wow! Im impressed with how advanced your dentistry back there... How I wish we will benefit the same tech you are using. AMAZING!!! For someone like me who experience trauma from past dental procedure, your video is helping me kick off those traumas and Im looking forward to a positive visit with a dentist again.
Awesome educational material. This is very useful to get educated on the topic to make better decisions on your own dental treatment. Thank you very much for sharing high quality information in this high quality delivery form. Much appreciated! Good luck!
i was very impressed by that imaging machin. I am wondering if it is able to record the arch as well. and it would be interesting to see that done on a bottom and a top jaw to simulate a bite (how the bottom and top teech lay on eachother and where gaps are. I also have a question. Is there a difference between a male and female arch (the arch created by the tips of the front teeth from one side to the other)
I wish more dentists were honest like this guy and actually advised you on what’s best not just what’s best for them $$$. I had to switch dentists because my last took xrays and never told me I had an abscess... few months later I’m in excruciating pain and needed an emergency appointment so I found any dentist who was available and he was shocked to see the old xrays and explained that I had an abscess from back then. Now I question everything my dentists says.
Wow, I’m just seeing this and it was four years ago? This man was ahead of the game. Love the explanations and time taken to record and inform us! Thanks!
I've seen some veneers where the teeth were fine but the patient wanted whiter teeth. The dentist cemented very thin veneers over the natural teeth without having to do any prep work such as reducing the natural teeth.
Thank you for the video very helpful ! Dentistry is so interesting and since I had problematic teeth I learnt so much from my own dentist and experience at the table. Restoration is one of my fav. P.S. keep up the good work at the gym !
In our office we only do veneers on front teeth, If there is too much missing structure or a posterior tooth then a crown is the better choice. Veneers are a life changing choice for adults when front teeth are discolored, or slightly out of alignment. Thanks for the informative content
Hey doc, I hope you see this, I’m having a HUGE issue with my molar that the opposing tooth is pushing it, its having a root canal and there is no space for the teeth to get filling or anything because it’s been long for my root canal. The opposing tooth has grown quite too much. My dentist has asked for a root canal to continue or extraction is always an option, she also said that the opposing tooth will be cut down a bit to make space and that it will need a very special crown (i dont know what its called) that will be fitted from the inside like a table. Also my front teeth are up on each other, I asked if I need braces, they said no and that he filled up my front tooth with filling that covered my cavity (that was really not that much and I said I will get cavities here he said no and then I got it) lol So should I get crown? Or filling is much better than that, also my other molar has also had a root canal and has a filling.
Hi Dr. O! Hope you and your family and your team have a great time in the next week (Christmas)! I have a question. My right side upper canine tooth has a cold sensitivity. Lat year I had a dentist that did some work on it but I suspect the drill might have broken the tooth. There is no visible fracture, but the pain is there every day. I avoid biting and chewing on that side. How could we see if there is a fracture in the tooth (especially if it's a small fracture)? There is pain when biting (I sort of feel it move a little bit), but when my dentist tugs at it she doesn't feel anything but I know the pain and slight movement exist. My questions are: 1. How can we surely know if there is a fracture or not? 2. Would a crown be better in this case? I already have a filling but I am.not sure it's doing anything for me.... Many thanks!
Great video and information! My last dentist appointment I went to last week, My dentist told me that I have no more enamel on my top front teeth back and front. He suggested that I get them crowned, also he said my teeth have shifted. I thought I had cavities in my front teeth in the back, cuz along the gum line I feel a slight gap between the teeth. I do have existing fillings in the back of the front teeth, but I guess with the enamel gone, it felt like cavities. So I have decided to take my dentists advice and get them crowned, because my front teeth are a little yellow in some spots with white spots. I do drink a lot of soda, but that will change once I get my teeth renewed :) Thanks for your expertise!!
So I finally got over my fear of the dentist after having a bad experience with my last visit years ago. I am currently getting my teeth fixed and I was told I can fix my two front teeth that chipped slightly during pregnancy. So I'm so glad I came across this video bcus they did mention a crown only bcus I grind my teeth I guess when I sleep. I really want veneers tho....hmmm so this video was very informative. I don't want to do something that I will regret.
I'm no dentist but based on experience, you use veneer if there's minimal damage to your teeth or just need to improve appearance.. and crown is most probably used on damaged molars because it's mostly used for chewing. It takes a lot of 'load" so you need the whole teeth supported and that is the crown.. compared to veneer that is only attached to the front of the teeth
I have been in 6 different Dentist office this past 3 months and everyone telling me different story than the other, I have a hard-time to trust this doctors. I don't know why our society become so bad to trust?? Thank you for explaining about Crowns VS Veneers.
@chris davis Yes they are. But finally and finally I found the best Dentest that I can trust. He is first class number one in my book, he is expensive but he is great and the entire office is like dream come truth.
They tell you what is more convenient for them, if they use a certain type of material or get kickbacks from a certain material then that’s what they are always going to push. Some all want to do zirconia crowns on all of your teeth even if your teeth are in great shape and healthy. They’re nutcases.
I’ve had my teeth done twice: first time to fix my underbite, second to straighten my teeth (Invisalign). I’ve had impressions done and the 3D imaging and I think 3D imaging is really cool and versatile :). I’m also an engineering student so CAD and 3D printing 🙃
It’s hard to find a Dentist who can elaborate these two techniques clearly. I was hoping your office is in Springfield, Virginia :-). Thank you, Dr Olson for sharing this information with us. Would you please do a video to explain the difference between teeth bonding vs Veneer? Thank you.
Hey Dr. O....I am a expanded functions dental assistant in Vermont. We have a very techy office as well...we do most of our crowns using the e.max cerec blocks with our sirona milling units. We have started making Zirconium crowns with another new machine.....we do alot of implant crowns and have great success. We follow the same protocol as you...minimal preps, keeping as much natural tooth structure. Thanks for your videos for people to understand this process better....What a great idea.
Hi Dr., I do have a question for you. I have a crown on my front tooth. I'm stuck on what options would be better/best. Thinking of getting a 4-6 veneers around it and not sure if that would feel or match the crown. What are your thoughts? Thank you.
This was amazing. I live I Bradenton, FL and I wish you were here. I’ve had a 4 tooth bridge on my bottom front teeth and six veneers on my upper front teeth. The bridge has never stopped hurting since it was completed on 09-06-2017. I’ve been in twice with the issue. Also my temporary veneers are slanted. They have been working on the permanent veneers for almost five weeks now. Hopefully they will be straight. Total cost is $17,000+. I wish I would have known about this technology sooner. My advise to anyone having this done is to research first. I wish I would have seen your video prior to my first consultation. I don’t know what the price should be for the services I received however I hope they are within the going rate. Another thing that happened. I’m an older woman 65 years old and I was told that I had to have a certain color. By the dental assistant. She would not even bring out the chart for anything lighter than a yellowish tone and I was very upset about it because she said it was because of my age…I did mention it to the dentist and she made her bring out the chart. I did not pick the brightest white but I did pick one several shades darker than the brightest white but quite a bit brighter than the one she selected for me. and she said “well if you were my mother”...... i’m just not having a very good experience here and I wish that I would’ve researched a little more. I’m just trying to give others advice so they don’t go through what I’ve gone through. Research. and consult before choosing.
Sandrea White, sounds like it would help if you told the dentist your concerns. The slanting of the temporaries should be corrected to ensure that you and the dentist are on the same page about the final ‘look’ that you want. I use temporaries to open up a conversation about ideal colour, shape etc. Sometimes my patients are in temporaries for 3 months as we adjust and tweak them until they’re right.
A zirconia restoration related question: The connector(s), i.e., the link between adjacent teeth, seems to be weaker than a similar PFM's connectors. Therefore the milled zirconia connector(s) is (are) very massive. Which makes it harder to clean the between the units of the bridge and probably a little bit less aesthetic. Is that correct?
Really impressed with your channel and technology. Quick question: can you put veneers over a front tooth porcelain implant? Mine feels quite imperfect as there is a significant gap now between my two teeth now due to the gum line (adjusted after bone graft). Much worse than the bridge it replaced. So there are two crowns and an implant.
Incredibly informative video. My dentist said veneers are obsolete and no more done. Though now I know she was just trying to convince me to get crowns cuz they would earn her more money lol.
Do you have more than one location? It’s so refreshing to see someone who is honest and takes the time to explain rather than someone who feels they’re wasting their time. I need a lot more dental work done. I have 6 crowns across my front teeth, and a few others. I am also missing a total of 4 teeth, but one is going to have to be a bridge as it’s right next to a crown, and the tooth on the other side probably needs a crown as well. I know my previous dentist kind of ground down my bottom teeth after the crowns were put on top to make the bite more comfortable. I have never had a dentist do that before, and I don’t know if that’s something that is normally done. I wasn’t particularly happy about it because I felt as if it was wearing them down more than they already are, and that they’d need more work later because of him grinding them down. Anyway, thanks again!
Wow! Thank you for advocating for your patients. I was just told by this new dentist that he is recommending I get a full crown on all my upper teeth if I want to improve the look of it. I had one front tooth discolored and despite a root canal and one canine beginning to do the same. overall, my teeth are healthy and straight. I would like to come visit your clinic since I'm already here in Missouri. Thank you for sharing this piece of knowledge with honesty.
Thanks so much for watching. I am glad that this video was helpful. It would be an honor to help you achieve your best smile. Please visit YourSmileDestination.com and we can meet on a virtual consultation. Keep smiling!- Dr. O
Dr. O, my dentist says I have decay on the back of my veneers on my front two teeth. He said he might have to put a crown on depending how bad it is. Would your recommend this or just replacing the veneers? I’ve had them for about 10 plus years.
Thank you so much Dr. Olson for this informative and useful video. While watching your video I feel a little bit jealous because my teeth isn’t really good😩 btw I’m wearing dentures all the time since I was in HS. How I wish that i can have good smile, good teeth like you. All my life I always regret that I couldn’t take good care of my teeth when I was a child, And now I always end up watching, seeing people who has a real teeth and good smile. Im Still hoping that someday I will have a beautiful smile and beautiful teeth but I guess I still can’t afford. So, lesson learned always brush your teeth, visit your dentist regularly and love your teeth. Thats the only thing I’ve never done in mylife🤔 except for brushing teeth hahaha I brush my teeth regularly. Best regards from Philippines 🇵🇭...
QUESTION: I have a top frontal incisor that has plenty of bone and healthy gum and yet it hurts intermittently. When it's in pain, I can actually press on it from behind the tooth and move it while hearing a clicking sound. If I rock it enough, it actually stops moving and clicking. Makes no sense, but true. And it almost always feels weaker than the healthy incisor. My dentist didn't look extremely close and kind of shrugged it off thinking it may be a traumatized ligament, but I've had this problem for about two months now. I suspect a cracked tooth but the crack is hard to detect. Can a veneer or some sort of resin address this problem? I had a crown put on a molar two years ago and it was a horrible experience. It created a bad bite and rocking in my jaw. I never want to do a crown again. Are there other options?
My brother is terrified of visiting a dentist, he definitely needs to go. I had four root canals and 4 crowns put in. The only thing that hurt were obviously the novacaine shots. It was worth the pain, all is good now
Question. I decided to get a tooth extraction vs. a root canal. It is my bottom #19 molar. How long do you think I could go without an implant or bridge before my teeth are effected? And which one is best, implant or bridge? I can't afford it atm so I'm worried about my teeth being even more misaligned.
I've got a genuine problem with my hubby. We have Aetna Dental starting next month, so will start the process of fixing the easily avoided disaster in his mouth. Thanks for this. Will keep you in mind.
Wow this was very educational and inspiring and you did a terrific job explaining all of my questions, thank you so much. I really hope you have an office located in South Carolina.
Awesome technology I had no idea!! And thank you for the detailed description it really helped even with all of the things I've been told over the years!
Awesome video very informative I just wanted to leave my personal recommendation and that's when people have bad teeth my teeth were really good I had braces but I didn't wear my retainer I kept spitting it out at night I couldn't keep it in my mouth and I couldn't talk with it in during the day so my teeth over the time shifted then I injured my back and had to start taking medication which caused severe dry mouth which has taken a toll on my teeth on top of gritting my teeth it's become a problem due to my OCD actual real OCD and my biggest fear is that a dentist will look at my teeth and say well there's no point in giving him the best work cuz he's just going to go fuck it up again with his grinding and I got that feeling from my dentist when he tried to fix it chip in my tooth and he just put a glob of resin on it and didn't even shape it you put so much on that it covered up the Gap in between my teeth so my two front teeth look like one tooth if I lived in the US I would go out of my way to come to this office just from seeing the work you've done and how you transformed other people's smiles is amazing people don't realize how much people suffer with bad teeth unfortunately it also is hereditary my grandparents had Dentures when they were in their 30s my dad had crowns put in when he was in his late 30s and I'm 35 now and it looks like I'm going to need veneers but I'm too embarrassed show my teeth
That is a great question. Many practices choose to charge a greater amount for veneers. Our fee is the exact same. Depending on where you live, you will find them ranging in cost from $1000 to $2700.
Wow that’s amazing! I paid about 4 grand for a 3 tooth bridge and one veneer for my front smile and unfortunately after about 8 years I cracked them on a glass bottle. My fault. But my dentist has moved and he did the most amazing work ever and I’m scared to go anywhere else cuz the teeth he did on me have creases and are lightly transparent on the bottom of the tooth which look more than real unlike some other work I’ve seen where they just look really milky. He said he used a really expensive material I forget what.. but where are you guys located? And do your veneers also have a bit of transparency on the very tips so it looks like real enamel?
James Tompkins Hello. We are located in Springfield, MO. The material he probably used was transparent eMpress. EMax is what I have been using for 7 years now and it looks the same as eMpress and it is beautiful and extremely durable. We do all of the porcelain in house with our technology so we can help you in a single visit. Would love to help you. I wish you the best and keep smilin! - ;)r. O
In less than one year I have had 48 cavities filled. My teeth are mostly fillings. I have autoimmune diseases, among which are Sjogren's Syndrome which has heavily deteriorated my oral health. So the question is how viable of a plan is it to have implants and crowns vs veneers, and will it be enough to restore my teeth? You noted that veneers are made of porcelain, that porcelain does not stain. Are crowns made of porcelain?
Very informative, thank you. My top eye tooth is very sensitive at gumline due to hard brushing. Would a veneer help this? Also, what if you ever want to remove a veneer, does it ruin the tooth?
Thanks for watching and the kind words. A filling is all you may need. A veneer does do a good job of addressing this more permanently. Minimally prepared veneers are not harmful to the health of your tooth. Great questions. I wish you the best.
Hey great video, very informative! I have an overbite on my left side and an underbite on my right and one of my front teeth is rotated and overlaps with the one next to it. Would I need to have my teeth aligned with a brace before getting veneers to remove the underbite situation?
You are refreshing when it comes to easing anxiety and concerns regarding dental work I am guessing you are in America Do you know anyone in Australia who operates just like you ? Thank you so much
My concern would be about costs of veneers. I live in Central AZ, so you are far away, but I like the science. I hate crowns and now because of an infected tooth which had a root canal and then needed a pin to stabilize it. Now, that I have to go through another root canal. Is there an alternative?
I'm still unclear as to why some tooth structure has to be removed. Just make the veneer smaller or bigger. I was almost sold on the veneers until I heard that bit about tooth structure being removed.
Thank you so much I have severe tooth decay on my front two teeth. And I been against root canals since my dad who work in making crowns and bridges etc. And always recommended me not to get it.
Hey Dr. O, serious question for ya. I have a fake front tooth (crown) it’s about 8 years old. The tooth is bulky and the shade is off. I’m getting a new one in a couple weeks. My dentist suggested putting a crown on my other front tooth, that is healthy. Is this a good idea? I want to make it look great, but to saw down a healthy tooth seems crazy.
I got a question. Milled zirconia crowns (CEREC for a single unit, lab made for a multi unit) impressions were done digitally (intra oral digital scanning). The crown(s) seem to go bellow the gum less deeper than a PFM restoration. I rather prefer the crowns to go deeper bellow the gum line. Unclear for me if the digital impression inherently means not placing a tissue retraction cord. In other words, can and shall a tissue retraction cord (and the variants) placed and only then a digital impression be taken? Having the restoration going below the gum line deeper (as PFM restoration), is that impossible due to the digital scanning, or is due to the usage of zirconia?
I have severe decay on both sides of tooth 9 that goes into the gum. Just the tiniest bit of pressure causes immense pain. I planned on asking for it to just be pulled as I feel there's to much damage to save it. Your thoughts?
I had my fillings done on my front teeth but they fell out after six years. Do you think Veneers would be a better choice than just getting them refilled again. Is it even possible since one of them had the back shaved off?
Are veneers mainly for the front teeth? Just curious because I just had a root canal done on my #19 tooth and my dentist is recommending a crown for it. Would that be a good example of a crown being needed as it's not one of the front teeth?
I think this giveaway is very cool, but the thing that threw me back was the fact that the finalists are posted in social media. Our smile insecurities should be more confidential. I mean it's fine to film myself for 2 minutes for your professional team to decide, but not for anybody else. Very informative video though. Thanks.
Rut Reyes Lopez every professional before posting your pictures of videos asks you first if you are okay with it. It’s not like they do it without permision of the patients, I don’t think they do
Hello Dr Olson, I am still confused about my decision to get a veneer or crown. Right now I'm using the Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. My front tooth L2 has been discolored from a trauma from a few years back but I still have the total feeling on this tooth. I want a perfect smile, so I'm leaning to the veneers. What do you suggest?
Hey Dr. O, I was wondering if I've got fillings in some of my frontal teeth (only on the front side of them - back is perfectly normal) some of those fillings are quite big 30-40% of the whole frontal area of the tooth would Veneers still be a viable option for me? I am only 25 at the moment.
If you have lot of tooth structure than, crown isn’t a good option because it will require lots of tooth structure to be taken off. Veneer is good for your situation.
Glad I found this video, my filling has come lose (again within a few weeks of having it, fell out last time) its the tooth next to my front ones. The dentist said id need a crown if it happened again, would a crown or veneer be better for this? The video is very informative but im still unsure, subbed to you. If I was in America id come to you but im in the UK :/
I'm thinking about letting you do my six veneers I need on top front and bottom front teeth. I remember you telling me, "Don't let no dentist crown my front teeth do to spaces". I feel like you know more than most of these dentist out here because you prove your points but stating facts. I'm a high school student in New Jersey and it's my senior and I'm looking forward on meeting you someday.
Thank you for great presentation I wish my doctor would have been more up to date on technology...He insisted crowns now since I have had them on my front teeth they burn when I get in a swimming pool I have only had them for one year there gorgeous crowns but painful...Im going to do my research and get the best dentistry.
Hello Dr. Olson! Question, is it possible to fix a crossed bite and an open bite with cosmetic dentistry? Knowing that I have a good upper teeth structure from braces. Please let me know. Thanks!
Hi doctor! I really need your help here. My dentist had decided to do tooth bonding for me for front tooth, that only has a small surface decay on top and in between the teeth. I really wish to reverse to my natural tooth. Can I simply shave away the teeth until there is no more bonding, and reshape my teeth?
Just had 2 crowns on my front teeth today. After watching this, Im worried that they made the right call. They wanted to do a Root canal on one of them. But i told them to put a temp crown in and see how it goes. I was sick how much the took from my front teeth. They were chipping on the sides. And one was cracking. But still
I really have a problem with them shaving away teeth, specially if the tooth is mostly healthy, like what if you get problems on that tooth later, like it falls out because it's so thin.
I went for veneers on front teeth. He ended up doing crowns. He didn’t tell me. When the crown falls off or needs to be replaced, they may take mire tooth structure until there is not enough and the tooth breaks off and then I needed an implant and crown which will need to be replaced for the rest of my life.
1-1.5k is the average cost in our area. There are many factors that will contribute to the final cost. Please reach out for a virtual consultation at YourSmileDestination.com
What are your opinions on "dental holidays" abroad to get dental and cosmetic dental work done affordably? I, like another comment i saw, am looking to get a full mouth restoration (as a patient) but have a lot of issues/damage to work with so paying $10K+ in Turkey seems pretty tempting compared to the $30K+ here in the US.
@Innovative Dental - Cosmetic & Implant Center That makes sense, and in my research there's definitely been an equal amount of horror stories to go with the wonderful ones. Preferably i'd like to keep my money within the US anyways but i've always been curious about the cost difference so thanks for offering insight on that. I have two posts and two crowns in my front four teeth that i got about 12 years ago after a bowling accident, lol, so i figure since i'm already looking to swallow my anxiety and make up for my years of issues and neglect, i might as well just aim to redo it all. I assume you guys take out of state clients? Where is the best place to direct any questions i have for your office? The info email on your site?
I think there are some who feel like they got a great deal and many who wish they spent more to get it done right. Cosmetic work is not typically one and done. We warranty and follow up with our patients. Generally speaking you get what you pay for. We always try to give more value than what our patients pay for. ;)
I’m so upset my dentist did not fully explain the difference between crowns and veneers and went ahead and put on front crowns which are too large and affecting my speech and every once in a while spittle comes from my mouth while speaking. I trusted he would perform the proper procedure and it was my error to not educate myself before hand or get a second opinion.
Wish I went here for my veneers! Got my front 6 prepped this Monday and have temporaries on right now and they are a nightttttmare. Can’t bite into anything for a minimal of 2 weeks, the temporary cement is not holding up well (its day 5) if you can get your veneers done with a dentist (like here) that has a Cerec machine, DO IT.
Hello! Hoping you can answer this question :) My cousin had a little crack on her front tooth. Her dentist decided to do a dental filling but when we ate lunch, it literally just dropped off the floor. Should my cousin have a dental crown or any advice with this matter?
Hello Dr.Olson its hard to find a good dentist here in paris after the old ones has retired, finding a new one its tiring same strokes of crockery and I fell into the worst one who destroyed the good tooth and replace the false teeth. I zm still looking forward to reach the innovated dental clinic.
It’s hard to find genuine dentist who tells someone why this is better...thank you for helping people understand and being a good person and have true passion for what you do.

@§hell §treet yes but I had them for less than 3 years but I'm seeking maintenance to prevent that but the is no guarantee I won't but I hope I don't get a decay

It's nice to see that Tommy from power left the game behind and finally found his true calling in life, dentistry 👏🏼
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣this is funny, but tommy could never be this fine
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely great video. No beating around the bush, straight up facts and made me feel more comfortable about going to the dentist. Thank you.
Thank you for this presentation. I thought that with veneers there was more tooth loss. Saving my money, I’ve been wanting vaneers for 20 years.
Also my front teeth are up on each other, I asked if I need braces, they said no and that he filled up my front tooth with filling that covered my cavity (that was really not that much and I said I will get cavities here he said no and then I got it) lol
So should I get crown?
My questions are:
I did the same, l would be getting a 2nd opinion if I were u!!
Very informative video, clear and concise. Thanks Dr!
@Nlsc13 they got crowns if their teeth were ground to nubs.
But so many you tubers say they got veneers but teeth ground to nubs. What do they have?
I like how systematized he is in explaining. Very informative.
My son and our past dental students are using this system both at UF and Nova…amazing!
Very scientific and honest suggestions. Thank you so much doctor.
I have been in 6 different Dentist office this past 3 months and everyone telling me different story than the other, I have a hard-time to trust this doctors. I don't know why our society become so bad to trust??
Thank you for explaining about Crowns VS Veneers.
@chris davis I agree with you.
@Rinu Yadav
Hi Rinu
He is first class dental office but the only thing he is expensive and do not take insurance. You have pay from your own pocket.
@François J. Interiors can you tell me about your dentist
@chris davis
Yes they are.
Yes, very cool Dr Olson! This was great to see up close and personal, much thanks for explaining so well. 😃
Hi Dr.,
I do have a question for you.
Deadnsd I go to dr gassler in Tampa fl.
Dr on tamiami trail in Sarasota I used to go to dentist office dow their cant remember his name tho great guy he is on the corner
A zirconia restoration related question:
The connector(s), i.e., the link between adjacent teeth, seems to be weaker than a similar PFM's connectors.
How has your dental journey been thus far?
Thanks for a very informative video. Love your ez way you explain the differences. Thank you so much.
+Suzanne Campbell Glad you found it informative. I will keep adding more content.
What a fantastic dentist. I have to go to the dentist today for a partial crown and he has relaxed my mind. Thank you so much. 😊
Thanks for the knowledge Doc. I really need to visit the dentist, but the struggle is real for me.
My brother is terrified of visiting a dentist, he definitely needs to go. I had four root canals and 4 crowns put in. The only thing that hurt were obviously the novacaine shots. It was worth the pain, all is good now
Not having to wait a couple of weeks for a lab to build your Veneers is a game changer !
Question. I decided to get a tooth extraction vs. a root canal. It is my bottom #19 molar. How long do you think I could go without an implant or bridge before my teeth are effected? And which one is best, implant or bridge? I can't afford it atm so I'm worried about my teeth being even more misaligned.
Fantastic video. Would love this guy to be my dentist. Great explanation and superb technology
Awesome video, been researching for a few weeks now and this made me feel good about veneers. Where are you located? And what’s the price per tooth?
I've got a genuine problem with my hubby. We have Aetna Dental starting next month, so will start the process of fixing the easily avoided disaster in his mouth.
Thanks for this. Will keep you in mind.
I wish you the very best.
Wow this was very educational and inspiring and you did a terrific job explaining all of my questions, thank you so much. I really hope you have an office located in South Carolina.
Dr. Olson,
How long does the time generally take to make a zirconia crown? (Especially for a dental implant?). Thanks for all of your videos!
Do you know if there is a similar clinic in Ontario Canada?
Innovative Dental of Springfield do you mean that veneers only for frontal teeth and crowns for molars and incisors
Our machines can mill in under 10 min. And we process most restoration in under 30 min.
Awesome technology I had no idea!! And thank you for the detailed description it really helped even with all of the things I've been told over the years!
Glad the video helped. You have an awesome day and thanks for watching.
Fantastic video very informative throw out some price comparisons keep it real and give us a general idea of prices between the two procedures
@Innovative Dental - Cosmetic & Implant Center 👍
Hi dr. Olson! Your explanation is amazing. Can Veneer treat enamel erosion? Thank you! Love from Philippines!
Thank you for answering a lot of my questions about dental procedures.
Why would anyone ever down vote this video? So strange. I really like this doctor.
Hey great video, very informative!
I have an overbite on my left side and an underbite on my right and one of my front teeth is rotated and overlaps with the one next to it. Would I need to have my teeth aligned with a brace before getting veneers to remove the underbite situation?
Yes
You are refreshing when it comes to easing anxiety and concerns regarding dental work
I am guessing you are in America
Do you know anyone in Australia who operates just like you ?
Thank you so much
My concern would be about costs of veneers. I live in Central AZ, so you are far away, but I like the science. I hate crowns and now because of an infected tooth which had a root canal and then needed a pin to stabilize it. Now, that I have to go through another root canal. Is there an alternative?
Well explained in understood terms.
One of the best videos I’ve seen on veneers so far.
How much for the four front teeth veneer or crown?
+Arturo Paramo thanks for the positive feedback.
Health wise, what is the disadvantage of using veneers?
Thanks.
I dony have social media but i wish i could win fr
If I get my teeth done ,,,, I’d love to show it off!! 👍and wouldn’t mind for others to see the transformation!! 😊
Rut Reyes Lopez every professional before posting your pictures of videos asks you first if you are okay with it. It’s not like they do it without permision of the patients, I don’t think they do
Have you worked with cubic zirconia crowns? And are they safe, and what is the difference vs porcelain?
What are your comments on the tear & shear strengths of crowns & veneers ?
Tq doctor... am a BDS student from India ...this video helped me a lot.. and from all ur videos am learning so much!! i love ur channel dr. !!!
Hello Dr Olson,
I am still confused about my decision to get a veneer or crown. Right now I'm using the Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. My front tooth L2 has been discolored from a trauma from a few years back but I still have the total feeling on this tooth. I want a perfect smile, so I'm leaning to the veneers. What do you suggest?
You would definitely need veneers for that perfect smile with shade and shape. YourSmileDestination.com
That makes sense. .some dentists just assume you know this information BUT not everyone does. I never understood until today..thank to this video 😆
Would love to meet you too Dorian! Best wishes.
Thanks for clarifying the differences, how much does a veneer typically cost out of pocket on tooth #8?
@Innovative Dental - Cosmetic & Implant Center what’s your email i want to send you a photo
1-1.5k is the average cost in our area. There are many factors that will contribute to the final cost. Please reach out for a virtual consultation at YourSmileDestination.com
Have you heard of Uveneer? I've been interested in looking into it since it doesn't damage the original tooth.
Very informative! Thanks for the knowledge.
@Innovative Dental - Cosmetic & Implant Center Thanks
Please visit YourSmileDestination.com to request a virtual consultation. We look forward to hearing from you!
We always try to give more value than what our patients pay for. ;)
Very informative. My dentist says that I should have crowns rather than veneers to fix my overbite... is that true?
Do you have to get numbing and freezing done when replacing your veneers?
I’m so upset my dentist did not fully explain the difference between crowns and veneers and went ahead and put on front crowns which are too large and affecting my speech and every once in a while spittle comes from my mouth while speaking. I trusted he would perform the proper procedure and it was my error to not educate myself before hand or get a second opinion.
The worst part about my crown was the 2 weeks with the temporary, wish my dentist could make the permanent ones in house.
@Innovative Dental Of Springfield - I really enjoy your videos. Very interesting, well presented and informative---thanks for sharing!
That was amazingly explained!
👸💭"I would actually go here because I think this dentist is honest and knowledgeable".
What happens if you have a filling in the tooth and you have a crown? Is it likely to decay further under the crown?
Hello! Hoping you can answer this question :) My cousin had a little crack on her front tooth. Her dentist decided to do a dental filling but when we ate lunch, it literally just dropped off the floor. Should my cousin have a dental crown or any advice with this matter?
A crown if it wraps around the back side and a veneer if it is just the front or top edge.
thanks for clearing up the purpose of both
im looking forward in getting veneers
Hello Dr.Olson its hard to find a good dentist here in paris after the old ones has retired, finding a new one its tiring same strokes of crockery and I fell into the worst one who destroyed the good tooth and replace the false teeth. I zm still looking forward to reach the innovated dental clinic.
