Ah, Silent Assassin, my very first Hitman game. Such fond (and sometimes frustrating) memories. Wish the current games had more features from that time.

Can’t believe this game was made almost 20 years ago. I remember playing this as kid. Time flies.

This is a true original classic game!! I’ll never forget never being able to sit through school because I’d just wanna get home and play this on PS2

I love the Hayamoto assassination mission, it was one of the hardest to pass because of the snipers seeing you. Felt a lot more badass when I finally beat it because not even 50 snipers covering the entire area can detect 47 if you do everything just right.

I'm watching all your Hitman content again. So good! Looking forward to some freelancer mode.

Celebrating twenty years of absolute greatness, this year, in exactly 30 days! This was my first Hitman game, which I played back then, on my, at the time, brand new Windows XP PC. And what a freaking fun ride it was! And just think... look at how far PC gaming... well, gaming in general has evolved in 20 years. If you go back 20 years from 2002 PC gaming wasn't even a thing! Gaming was, sure, but nothing even remotely akin to what we had in 2002 let alone today! It's mind blowing.

This was actually my first third person shooting game i ever played & that’s what made me enjoy em so much.

I remember this level. Really fun to do it different ways. You can steal the briefcase out of the safe by repeatedly sneaking around the ambassador when he opens it. He will yell at you while the safe is open and you can just grab it, and the chocolates...

2:48:53 this is much easier in 1st person mode, the attack is completely different and you can move while attacking.

I got a "Ninja-Extraordinaire " rating in the "Basement Killing" mission. I was pretty psyched.

a year late but i've discovered with the trunk, you can sneak into the back and crouch down so you're hidden by the boxes the truck will deliver you to the millitary base and you don't have to take anyone out cause you can just go get the same disguise that centerstrain gets!!

59:50 My game had a glitch where he wouldn't come out when I called the pager. Fortunately there is another way to complete this mission: just sneak into the observation room and shoot the glass then shoot the general in the head, then climb though the window.

Hold on a second. I've been going through the whole game not selecting any gear at the beginning of missions (default loadout I guess you'd call it) because I thought it would invalidate my ranking. I could have brought silenced pistols, knives and anaesthetic with me this whole time?

Just so you know. Sniper acquiring target does not affect silent assassin rating. As long as you don't take damage it doesn't matter. Great playthrough though

You should consider getting into the speedrunning of these early hitman games, I know you could do it because you know them like the back of your hand casually. I know hitman kinda seems like a slow burn stylistically but trust me man nothing feels better or memeworthy sliding and beating a mission way shorter than it would be without the exploits... think about it!

Me completeling missions with mass murder and high aggression

I've mostly been doing the missions and getting SA and then checking videos to see if/how much I overcomplicated things.
I gave in and checked to see how to do Hidden Valley and At The Gates because the devs just seemed to throw the rulebook out the window.
How is it when I have the best disguise in the game so far (fully covering all recognisable features including the GIANT FUCKING BARCODE ON THE BACK OF MY HEAD!) it's no good to me at all because suddenly they start asking me (AND ONLY ME!) for ID? This in combination with the guards spontaneously developing superhuman powers of perception which allows them to see me through trees was enough to make me nearly quit because I thought that's what the rest of the game was going to be like.
I just finished The Jacuzzi Job. I took a different approach. I ran and grabbed the night vision (though I ended up not using them) and got back out the door before the guard came in. Then I ran along the ledge to where the wife(?) is opening the safe. I then sneaked into the room with the fuse box and timed cutting the lights with her opening the safe. With the lights out I grabbed the cash and statue and then put a single shot in the target's head. I was at the elevator before the lights came back on. Not going to lie, I felt like a badass after that mission. It's almost worth all the swearing, crying and frothing at the mouth from all my failed attempts on previous missions.

I play the Hitman HD Pack on Xbox 360 but in the St. Petersburg Revisited i have a bug that agent 17 Always catch me while i sneak behind him he just drop his sniper and shoot me with a Deagle making for me impossible to get the SA rank on that mission, even if i try to use the fiber wire before he shots or hit me the game Will count the "Close Encounter" giving me only a "Professional" rank, if you know another way of killing agent 17 or a way to fix this bug i would be grateful, thanks in advance anyway

It’s a different stealth than Metal Gear.... in Metal Gear they know Snake or some other person kills everyone after he leaves..... 47 makes everything look like an accident, an unfortunate act of God.... and only a few know he exists..... yeah it is a different stealth

I usually just kill the guards since it doesn't hurt the rating as long as it's only 2 in Hitman Silent assassin.

Hitman: World of Assassination serves perfectly as the end of the franchise.
I'd like to see them now revamp Silent Assassin & Contracts.
Contracts is already half a remake of Codename 47, so no need for that one anymore & Blood Money was packaged with Absolution in the HD Collection anyway.

If you're fast, you can shoot Von Kamprad off the balcony in the first second. I can't remember if you can salvage the rest of the mission if you do that.
