Marcelito can sing female and male parts but Dimash can sing all parts.........in any style. He does have opera training, he's got contemporary music training, he's got a Master's degree in music composition. This guy is smart, talented and sweet and humble. Loves his country, family, friends and fans.

He can make other people feel like they are flying, like their soul is floating outside their body, like everything inside them is turning upside down, just as described in this wonderful song. i had never experienced such sensations until I heard Dimash's voice and felt the emotion in it. And now about his completing his PhD as well as other factual inaccuracies - Dimash doesn't need them. he is great enough without exaggerations. He is only 28, and has been working hard and practicing his entire life, and on top of this he is always furthering and expanding his formal education. Now he is in the middle of his PhD studies, and also will have an internship this year in a prestigious art academy in Los Angeles, whether as part or in addition to his PhD studies. Dimash has enough achievements in reality without any need to artificially augment them. So please check and recheck your sources before presenting some info you read or heard somewhere as a fact, Dimash will only benefit from a responsible behavior of his fandom. He himself is a very humble person and would never attribute to himself something he hasn't actually done or exaggerate his own achievements.
Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin). He plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. This song comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Indeed, Dimash trained in all registers. He had a nice low range since young, and a high range as well, being often asked to step in for the soprano parts when there weren`t enough girls in the choir. He kept his high range through adolescence. Between 16 and 20 he studied Classical (Bel Canto), got a degree at 20, then 20 -> 24 studied Contemporary (Jazz, Pop), got a degree in that at 24. He also has a Master`s Degree in Composition, with a thesis defended with perfect score. He did the training in Classical style for his high range with soprano arias. He never pushed any one register, and he remained free in all registers, and has great control and skill in a wide range, from baritone (and some bass) up to soprano, with the ability to access whistle register as well. His mother is a soprano, and that probably contributed to his love for this register. In his performances, he mizes elements from opera, pop, rock, kazakh folk and even a bit of rap. He sings in 5 languages in his concerts, and fans attending (from 30+ countries in each concert) sing with him in all the languages he sings in, even if none are their own language. Which creates a bridge of friendship across countries and continents. He is also a humble, grateful guy, with a grounded, clean life and a sense of humor. He knows how to pose James Bond style for a photoshoot, or carry a taekwondo style fight scene in a music video, without taking himself too seriously. Yes, like you said you’re not a vocal coach but you did describe his high register as female parts. That’s correct amount the classical and opera community. This was in 2018 , now 4 years later Dimash has a 7,7 octave range. At one concert he hit a D8 one note off of the piano at the top in the whistle register not even a note but a frequency.. at the bottom he hits a F#1 in the first octave. Dimash sings in every register that is much more than marcillito can do. In dimashs country after finishing his 2 masters (in his doctorate now) the Astana opera house tried to give him a seat also because of culture thought they owned Dimash, but he refused going into a mix of opera rock neoclassical and thereby doing any genre he wants to and in this song sos it is called popopera. There was some rock belting in there too.

Great reaction. And this was only the tip of the iceberg. He sings multiple genres: opera, pop, rock, rap, and traditional Kazakh songs. He mixes all these sounds seamlessly in one song. He can sound like a female soprano or a male countertenor - whatever fits the song. He is also a very humble and giving human being and very focused on building peace in our world. Dimash has had perfect pitch since the age of three. He has studied music and vocals since he was five and still trains for 3-5 hours every day. You are in for a fantastic musical journey. I would not know what to suggest you listen to first. Opympico, Adagio, Ave Maria, Ikanaide, The Show Must Go On, Your Love, Lve Is Like A Dream, or Stranger. Be prepared to be Dimash-ified. He speaks Kazak, his native language, Russsian, and is still learning English & Mandarin, and sings in 13 languages. Dimash, as you put it, embeds himself into every song he sings. You will hear it once you react to more of his videos. There is no other voice like his anywhere, as you will learn from more comments from his "Dears" which is how he refers to his fans. You should check out some of his performances from the Chinese show "I Am Singer" (that was were he really got international attention) - I think you would LOVE his rendition of "Hello" (by Lionel Richie) on that show... it never fails to make me cry, its so powerful! Try Stranger next from New Wave 2021. It shows several singing techniques. But Dimash can do many genres, even rap, dances, plays lots of instruments, composes, (has composed pop and operatic style songs). directs, models etc. and is very respectful, humble humanitarian, He has over 100 songs, including MJ and Queen covers.
He can pretty much hit any note. You did not see his highest and in no way his lowest notes on this song. He also does any genre he wants from opera to pop to rapping in his native Kazakh. That being said he is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian but now also speaks English very well. He however sings in I believe up to 15 languages now. Try Stranger from New Wave. It is in English and you will see a little more of his range but again... not all of it. MJ was a huge influence in Dimash's life so you will often see that influence in his music such as Be With Me MV, in English with Kazakh rap, or Zhalyn in Kasakh. Buckle up because he is going to shock you over and over and over.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin). He plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. This song comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. He started piano + vocal school (regular singing) at age 5. 16-20, 4 years of Classical (Bel Canto). 20-24, 4 years of Contemporary (Jazz, Pop).
Then come all his other studies in music itself, a Master`s Degree in Composition, and enrollment in doctoral studies in Musicology.
He didn`t train operatically for 20 years since he was 5, nobody trains a 5 years old child in Bel Canto. He started Classical at 16, and keeps training every day, even if he graduated at 20 and 24 with university degrees in both classical and contemporary.

His name sounds: Dimash accented “mash” and accented /´gen. He is from Kazakhstan but there was singing in Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus when he was 23 years old.
He uses techniques from opera, modern lyric, ethnic, glam, hard rock and pop environments.

Indeed, Dimash trained in all registers. He had a nice low range since young, and a high range as well, being often asked to step in for the soprano parts when there weren`t enough girls in the choir. He kept his high range through adolescence. Between 16 and 20 he studied Classical (Bel Canto), got a degree at 20, then 20 -> 24 studied Contemporary (Jazz, Pop), got a degree in that at 24. He also has a Master`s Degree in Composition, with a thesis defended with perfect score. He did the training in Classical style for his high range with soprano arias. He never pushed any one register, and he remained free in all registers, and has great control and skill in a wide range, from baritone (and some bass) up to soprano, with the ability to access whistle register as well. His mother is a soprano, and that probably contributed to his love for this register. In his performances, he mizes elements from opera, pop, rock, kazakh folk and even a bit of rap. He sings in 5 languages in his concerts, and fans attending (from 30+ countries in each concert) sing with him in all the languages he sings in, even if none are their own language. Which creates a bridge of friendship across countries and continents.
He is also a humble, grateful guy, with a grounded, clean life and a sense of humor. He knows how to pose James Bond style for a photoshoot, or carry a taekwondo style fight scene in a music video, without taking himself too seriously. He loves his fans like family, works hard to create valuable art, and never misses a chance to show gratitude to everyone who works with him, and anyone who had anything to do with his upbringing or his musical formation.
We, his fans, love him right back, as we find comfort in the quality of his art and his delivery of it.

Yes, like you said you’re not a vocal coach but you did describe his high register as female parts. That’s correct amount the classical and opera community. This was in 2018 , now 4 years later Dimash has a 7,7 octave range. At one concert he hit a D8 one note off of the piano at the top in the whistle register not even a note but a frequency.. at the bottom he hits a F#1 in the first octave. Dimash sings in every register that is much more than marcillito can do. In dimashs country after finishing his 2 masters (in his doctorate now) the Astana opera house tried to give him a seat also because of culture thought they owned Dimash, but he refused going into a mix of opera rock neoclassical and thereby doing any genre he wants to and in this song sos it is called popopera. There was some rock belting in there too.

He can sound like a female soprano or a male countertenor - whatever fits the song. He is also a very humble and giving human being and very focused on building peace in our world. Try Stranger next from New Wave 2021. It shows several singing techniques. But Dimash can do many genres, even rap, dances, plays lots of instruments, composes, (has composed pop and operatic style songs). directs, models etc. and is very respectful, humble humanitarian, He has over 100 songs, including MJ and Queen covers.
He can pretty much hit any note. You did not see his highest and in no way his lowest notes on this song. He also does any genre he wants from opera to pop to rapping in his native Kazakh. That being said he is fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian but now also speaks English very well. He however sings in I believe up to 15 languages now. Try Stranger from New Wave. It is in English and you will see a little more of his range but again... not all of it. MJ was a huge influence in Dimash's life so you will often see that influence in his music such as Be With Me MV, in English with Kazakh rap, or Zhalyn in Kasakh.
