An actually tasteful and respectful take on the old Monster School genre. I expected such clicking on to the video, and it holds true. Thank you, Alan! Another masterpiece!
This is maybe the third time I've seen this, but I just realized that Red is the ideal person for Monster School since he has such a bond with animals/creatures.
love how this series can go from "fighting a longterm enemy with unstoppable, godlike powers" to "the red one is getting bullied in herobrine school" and still be the best storyline to have ever graced my eyes
@Rein Kayomi fr monster school is trash now I watched like a lot of monster school when I was younger but I’ve never heard of willcraft ima watch him after dis vid
I am actually really impressed on how accurate this is to the old Monster School way back when. All of the personalities of the character from the original Willcraft animations are so accurate. Thanks for the amazing callback, Alan!!
I really appreciate this paying tribute to the original monster school and even linking to it in the description, really brought me back to simpler times.
I love the character development -Enderman goes from only trying to scare players to actually attacking -Skeleton figures out how to aim via "advanced" technique -Spider learns how to use webs effectively
Yes literally every other monster school video is so cringe. I've watched a LOT of monster school before and besides this one, I don't have one memory of one that was not cringe. Alan has made the first ever good monster school video
@Elliott Cook Well, the OG Monster School which started it all, made by Willcraft was and still is good and is as wholesome as this video is, there's also an underrated modern monster school channel which is just like the OG Monster School, by Spector (under a 1000 subscribers), they create Monster School videos how they're supposed to be!
I think I finally get why Red ended up here. It never made sense to me before--Red likes animals, not monsters, so Green with her endless compassion or Blue with his friendship with the piglins would seem superficially to make more sense. But I think I get it now. Red is the least competitive in the group, and also often the most child-like. Red's easy-going. He rarely tries to TNT Green's winning builds, he's happy building simple, clunky structures, and he mostly seems to just want to have fun with his animal friends. Him ending up in a school setting, and one where he *has* to compete at that, makes perfect sense. EDIT: So, a lot of people appear to be very cross about my varied use of pronouns here. Others seem to have taken actual offense, and others just seem interested in fact-checking because they figure there should be an objective answer. Gosh bless you all, I don't really care and am gonna mute this now, but go nuts! They're stick figures. I just refer to them the way I personally interpret them.
@Lorelei …..still don’t get how green’s a ‘she’, because that’s kinda… abrupt? it’s been mostly implied that they’re male or androgynous anyways, but i’ve never sen any idea that they’re female.
@NightOwl In terms of what's stated in canon, she is exactly much a girl as she is a guy. It's not that big a deal. I don't see why "guy" has to be the default. :)
I still remember the days when Monster School was still cringe, but good cringe. Nowadays it's just cringe in a way that it's impossible to enjoy. Thanks for bringing this back to us, Alan.
Alan should showcase what the other blocks can do considering it shows what gold and netherite can do in a staff, it be cool to see what the others can do
Genuinely LOVE your take on the Monster School concept, especially with how it feels like a really nice homage to Willcraft's original ones specifically.
this episode respects willcraft's monster school and is also fun just like the old videos, in addition to preserving the personalities of the characters, without a doubt a good continuation
I've always wondered what an actual well-made Monster School animation would look like! I'm happy that this type of video's now done right with Alan Becker's team!
The moment I recognized Willcraft's school design, I was blown away, ESPECIALLY since you got the OG characters from said series WHY ARE YOU SO AWESOME?!
Okay....so can we just talk about the personnel and the interactions here? Like seriously no one truly knows how nostalgic this is. From when Red drops in and the mobs not attacking him, to the herobrine taking him in with the class despite recognizing that he's not a monster. (At least not one that he's seen before) And tbh this was literally the most iconic I've seen herobrine like for real. Like this was really his time to shine for real. But overall this part had to be my up most favorite. Because monster school with herobrine was a huge part of me getting into Minecraft and falling in love with it. And so watch this and still remember everyone of the students names. And not to mention that the music sounds very similar to the meet the students video from Willcraft animations that told us who the students were and their personalities. But if I had to say anything else, it would be that Herobrine is a true teacher that go through anything to pass on knowledge to his students. Like he'd probably be a better teacher than what any average school teacher would be. Like honestly, not only is he a man, not only is he a legend.... But he is a true icon! When he sees something aloof, he knows exact when to step it. He gets business handled. Not to mention the great detail that even after many years the same students still respect him. As a teacher, a leader and mentor.
Only issue with this animation is that despite being inspired by willcraft, some characters dont match their old personalities. Isnt endie known for being the kindest student?
I mean, hes only seen red the first time they met (yes he did punch red while tricking him into a trustworthy help) he later accepted red into the team
im really happy that this was inspired by willcraft, and not the obnoxious offshoots willcraft was the first animator i watched and one of my biggest motivations to becoming a game-dev animator
I haven't seen any of the Monster School videos, but even without the prior knowledge the monsters seem like well-rounded characters (haha irony) with their own lore. Kudos to you guys for doing the crossover justice. Btw I've heard about the cringe Monster School has created but apparently the originals were good, I'd like to see them but idk where to start.
I admire the take on Willcraft's monster school. The exact cast, Skellington's Struggle with a bow, Zupay (the zombie villager) being dangerous in combat. Good time. Good times indeed.
In a website where most monster school animations are weird, creepy, or just plain awful, Alan Becker challenges this in an attempt to return to what it once was. Good job.
The choreography in this one still baffles me. Absolutely wild that this is a *minecraft* animation with better action than basically every big-budget AAA film!
I've noticed in your videos that you often like to use visual effects to indicate how powerful an attack is before it actually affects the enemies. However, nobody can really sense that sense of power.
Man do I miss watching Monster School when I was a kid, I tried 2-3 years ago but well... to those who know, its not really the same now (from what I can remember I would see atleast 2+ thumbnails/content that was inappropriate and not Monster related lessons). Great to see this come back for atleast 1 episode!! The original charm will never fade in my heart❤✨
I'm Japanese, but this wonderful video doesn't have English sentences, and I can feel the kindness of other countries that people from various countries can watch.
The lesson we've learned is that it's entirely OK to ditch school and go on an adventure with a complete stranger that appeared suddenly out of a broom closet
12:56 For those who are confused, Red isn't saying "Help me, guys!". But rather "Go on! Go on!". The keypoint is the way he waves his arm. If he was asking for help, he should be waving his arm around in panic. But in this scene, he threw his arm out twice to his teammates, signaling them to go. He did do a bit of a pause before he threw his arm out the second time. And he seems to be pointing at the mountain too.
i feel like i should feel like im too old for monster school animations because i watched them when i was like 6 but alan makes me actually enjoy these to this day, im glad i rediscovered him because I'd completely forgotten about his channel.

HOLY CUNGADERO IT IS OUT

Alan made a Monster School better than what 7 years of bottle flip challenges could provide, and I respect that.
lmao
Lmao, he should be the creator of the monster school...
true true
I bet Willcraft is proud.
a great name for this user false. He hates MODERN monster school.
Back when Monster School was something of respect and not disturbing 3D models and suggestive content
Even tho they were cringe, i liked it but now, it's literally cringe in a way that isn't enjoyable
and overused (and some dead) memes/sound effects
@Fredbr Studios ikr
@Error Edits the classic version wasn’t cringe.
@And? ik but i was talking about the time when it started to get crossovers with other verses
Fun Fact: Herobrine looking at Red like they've known eachother is a throwback to the 1st episode of Animation VS Minecraft.
I loved that, and btw when red had that possetion by Herobrine that was before episode 1
@Elliott Cook the rediscovery was episode 1
@贾马尔 no there was an Animation vs Minecraft before the rediscovery
@Elliott Cook im aware, but alan becker noted its episode one in the title
Right
Alan is doing a much better job at bringing back old franchises than hollywood is.
crazy how one man can create a series magnificent in every way
He treated this classic series well. I wonder how Wilcraft is holding up...
@General CWell, he quit KZclip in 2021.
this portrays monster school in a WAY better picture than it is
EXACTLY BRO
@I Drink Pepsi Wrong fr fr

This video is actually from an alternate reality where the monster school genre didn't end up the way it is now
This is the Wilcraft Monster School, the one that we all loved it
An actually tasteful and respectful take on the old Monster School genre. I expected such clicking on to the video, and it holds true. Thank you, Alan! Another masterpiece!
Nostalgia...
@G00DZ1LLA eeeeee...alô?
i missed the old monster school
@alguém что? Ало?
A great master piece and nostalgia for us
This is maybe the third time I've seen this, but I just realized that Red is the ideal person for Monster School since he has such a bond with animals/creatures.
Not to mention that herobrine runs the school, and thus they meet again
@Amazin Earththus not dus
yeah
@CricketCoop languages amirite
Red in episode 30 is haunted by Herobrine pnce again lol
The way Herobrine looks at red when he sees him is like “Have I seen you before?” A classic throwback to the original.
i am the 69th like hopefully somebody ruins the reddit moment by making it 70
I think herobrine knew, but Red clearly forgot since Herobrine was controlling him
@GenericJoeKid es cierto
Oh so that’s why hero brine went into red at the finale
9
love how this series can go from "fighting a longterm enemy with unstoppable, godlike powers" to "the red one is getting bullied in herobrine school" and still be the best storyline to have ever graced my eyes
Despite Monster School being really cringy. It still brings so much nostalgia seeing it again.
Monster School has gone into shit, but Willcraft's version will always be with us
Ikr
I agree with monster school being cringe. I'm never watching it.
@Rein Kayomi fr monster school is trash now I watched like a lot of monster school when I was younger but I’ve never heard of willcraft ima watch him after dis vid
@Zinogoop bvy

Its hard to believe how much better alans animations have gotten after 16 years
I love how portals can take stickmen to infinite dimensions, and Alan is able to tailor each stickman to a different dimension
Well, technically, they’re all in the same overworld, just super far from each other
@Luki Wei yeah all the computers are connected as one sky on AVA V
How much
I can't imagine a better love letter to the creator of Monster School itself, Willcraft Animations. He'd love this.
Alan is the only one who can make an appropriate (Child-friendly) monster school video.
Man, Alan is the first person to make a good Monster School video in a while lol
ong
I second that
fr
true
He talks about this in the commentary video. Since all the others were "cringe" he used the original as reference
Thank you for making monster school normal, something every content creator in the past 4 years has failed to do.
I am actually really impressed on how accurate this is to the old Monster School way back when. All of the personalities of the character from the original Willcraft animations are so accurate. Thanks for the amazing callback, Alan!!
Oh, hello there! Fancy seeing you here!
Oh, howdy!
Saddly, monster school now is a bad quality family friendly content :(
Yeah before we got to the weird ones
it sunk into the abyss of greed
Ah yes, memories of the days where Monster School used to be good
For real. I used to enjoy it back in elementary/middle school so it's nice to see it done well
As expected of Red. Despite struggling at first, there are no mobs he can't tame.
This guy create animated series a lot better than average Japanese animator companies
What.... Japan has created some of the best animated series on earth
@RedFromOzWT-?
The best animated?! They created 18+ stupid movie/series and you just say “Best animated”? What a Shame man!
@RedFromOzi know some of anime was a great animated series but i talking about some of stupid anime series.. sorry if you misunderstood
@Cik Annur ohhh yeah I get what you mean sorry you're right
@RedFromOz ok bro
They went from finishing school to fighting someone getting close to the power of God. Beautiful.
I really appreciate this paying tribute to the original monster school and even linking to it in the description, really brought me back to simpler times.
I love the character development
-Enderman goes from only trying to scare players to actually attacking
-Skeleton figures out how to aim via "advanced" technique
-Spider learns how to use webs effectively
And most importantly they're finally working together
nice
Is this a joke?
Ghasts catching on fire
through cooperating with each other they learned how to utilitize their skills effectively
Finally, a good monster school thing to watch that is not cringe
Yes literally every other monster school video is so cringe. I've watched a LOT of monster school before and besides this one, I don't have one memory of one that was not cringe. Alan has made the first ever good monster school video
@Elliott Cook i liked to watch those things when i was little 😭😭😭
@Cube it is my opinion but yours is ok too some people do like it

then green's winning build *hes*
sry to correct u but its confusing
@hfw They're stick figures, honey.
@Lorelei it still makes more sense to call green a he but k

An actually tasteful and respectful take on the old monster school genre. l expected
Red being a comic relief character for 16 minutes and 32 seconds straight
The nostalgia
I watched these all the time, back when they were good
Only Alan Becker to make a decent Monster School nowadays.
What
grammer
@Mishan 3han 🅥 of course, a bot for this channel, i swear these type of bot are everywhere
I still remember the days when Monster School was still cringe, but good cringe. Nowadays it's just cringe in a way that it's impossible to enjoy. Thanks for bringing this back to us, Alan.
That ending scene is so GOOD! The little celebration before they all turn around and their faces drop gives me chills
😍🤵🤵🤵🤵🤵😘🥰🥰🥰😍😍🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳
A detail that I noticed and like is that everyone turns around except The Warden though instead its ears are given a signal.
Foqueu
F is Stick man
Alan should showcase what the other blocks can do considering it shows what gold and netherite can do in a staff, it be cool to see what the others can do
I love how Enderman makes eye contact with Red and becomes an ally.
meanwhile in minecraft if you do the same thing
enderman: *so you chosen DEATH*
@teamania and when you have water ypu have choosen death
@Mr Ruben🌀 considering im on a tropical country where we have constant typhoon i gonna say we have water
@teamania i was saying about the enderman and when rain starts and theres no three or a cave to protect the enderman hes dead
@Mr Ruben🌀 ok
Reminds me of the old days of those willcraft animations
Genuinely LOVE your take on the Monster School concept, especially with how it feels like a really nice homage to Willcraft's original ones specifically.
Wow!!÷_#
Omg i feel real nostalgic hearing willcraft's name
Как у огненного не сгорела повязка на гонке
It's because it is I think! Looking at the description at least :>
The original monster school is the only good one.
I love how these are still called " avm shorts" and this one is 16 minutes long
The secondary action that Red’s bandana adds is so nice!
Does felt like a "cinematic universe" on its own at this point.
this episode respects willcraft's monster school and is also fun just like the old videos, in addition to preserving the personalities of the characters, without a doubt a good continuation
That is unfortunately, what school is like sometimes; other students cause your problems yet the teacher still blames you for the problems.
I've always wondered what an actual well-made Monster School animation would look like!
I'm happy that this type of video's now done right with Alan Becker's team!
An actual well made monster school would look like Willcraft's
the older ones were good tho
What an achievement
@Wandering Viewer I think hes talking about animation type, the regulars are cgi
@Mishan 3han 🅥 tell me, how ur content better
The moment I recognized Willcraft's school design, I was blown away, ESPECIALLY since you got the OG characters from said series
WHY ARE YOU SO AWESOME?!
And monster school blends in with otehr music
To be honest the moment the enderman and the warden made eye contact was amazing
FINALLY someone noticed too!
He was trying to high five
"eye contact" bro has no eyes
A guy whos afraid of being stared and a guy who cannot stare because hes blind *stares at eachother*
Okay....so can we just talk about the personnel and the interactions here?
Like seriously no one truly knows how nostalgic this is.

You have my respect, Alan Becker
Wow, this one was actually like the good old times. Excellent work, you just made my day!
A conclusion of an incredible journey, and the best thing you can find on KZclip. Thank you Alan!
Mais foda que isso nem os filmes da Disney de hoje em dia
This feels a lot like the OG Monster School. Only it’s 2D and has the Alan Becker magic tossed alongside it
Actually 2.5D
@ Mishan 🅥 . No
Guys a friendly reminder to report these bots on top of me
Don't read profile photo nobody cares
@SWR report that bot
I haven't seen any of the Monster School videos, but even without the prior knowledge the monsters seem like well-rounded characters (haha irony) with their own lore. Kudos to you guys for doing the crossover justice.
Btw I've heard about the cringe Monster School has created but apparently the originals were good, I'd like to see them but idk where to start.
this video's description has the link for the playlist, Willcraft moved on from the project years ago but all the episodes are still on his channel
@Sthwrth Oh yeah it's there I didn't notice lol. Thanks
The absolute nostalgia trip from 7 years ago. Thank you for making this.
Oh my god the nostalgia of watching monster school when it first released
I just noticed the subtle detail that the skeleton nods back to the blaze as redemption. It's amazing how much time and effort that is put into these
I admire the take on Willcraft's monster school.
Good job.
Yes
Back when Willcraft and Stillcraft we’re actually making Monster School amazing
Alan never fails to make me feel so happy
He successfully uncringed monster school. What a legend.
The choreography in this one still baffles me. Absolutely wild that this is a *minecraft* animation with better action than basically every big-budget AAA film!
the nostalgia I got watching monster school 🤩
absolute respect to alan for giving the monster school monsters the same personality as the old times
Mishan 🅥 bot
I suggest to not reply to them, makes it worse
The good old days
Except Endie's uncontested combat ability when looked in the eye, Alan nerfed that.
alan deserves more support for combining minecraft and animation you are the best keep it up ;D, bring us more masterpieces like this
the only animator that managed to use the monster school idea and make it as enjoyable as the originals did!
I've noticed in your videos that you often like to use visual effects to indicate how powerful an attack is before it actually affects the enemies. However, nobody can really sense that sense of power.
its nice to see herobrine changed his ways of possessing and took up teaching mobs.
oh man i remember always watching monster school when i was in middle school its such a wholesome show!
The crossover we didn’t know we needed. Wilcraft would be proud.
293 likes and no comments let me fix that
I remember watching the first of these years ago, still the coolest animations anywhere
Dude im getting so much nostalgic watching this
Edit:This was the best episode so far
who remembers the monster school animations? good times
i love how every item the fake player is making is ironic to the mob that came
finally, an actual good monster school video.
it brings tears to my eyes
Ahhhhhhh the nostalgia! I used to binge monster school all the time!

His name is skellinton in the monster school series
this is just like the originals. i wish we had more

I honestly thought they were ditching red until I read this
Wow, you got keen eyes bro. Love that.
I honestly wished people know about this, everyone just assumes they ditched em. Glad you showed me.
Ohh i though they were being ungrateful, that makes sence
Yep
the fact that he turned monster school into a non-cringe video this is very unusual
Alan deserves more tbh.
i'm watching this again and again, it's amazing how much it bring back old memories
This is actually a real Monster School unlike the Monster School creators (except the old ones) make.
I never thought this would be an episode. I've never liked monster school, but Alan can make literally anything entertaining.
you should try willcraft's monster school!
@AWeeb • 17 years ago Will craft's ?
@Cloudy The Cloud he is a youtuber but he change it and never make monster school again
@Cloudy The Cloud willcraft monster school
Same
I like how they don't even acknowledge that some random person just appeared with no schedule of him being admitted to the school lol.
i always loved how in monster school the skeleton had bad aim and the blaze had good aim yet it’s the complete opposite in the actual game
1:25 this is basically a guide of what mobs can kill you easily if you're distracted
us players: hehe.. we have all the knowledge to hunt you down.
This is the only Monster School video in 2023 that is actually decent.

One of the actually good monster school animations nowdays
DANG ITS EVEN ACCURATE TO THE ORIGINAL ONE
It's insane to see how far this series has gone, from an already intense first animation to something like this
Remember guys it's all started when blue just wanted something else to eat
@Shaikh Anas no it all started another way the 21th episode, The Witch, only started coz of Blue.
@Shaikh Anas

only Alan bekker is worthy of building a school today, thank you and masterpiece
i like how skeleton and blaze just have this discord to themselves, also i like how skeleton cant shoot a bow without it being backwards XD.
