@HIRO Nah, that was definitely Chris Pratt. Charles Martinet has a certain inflection in his voice that I doubt Chris Pratt would be able to replicate.
I feel like its tied to story. The wha hoo is 1000% far from the "lets a go" so i think he starts of as normal chris prat voice then as he gets comfortable and gets his confidence his personaly devolops and is super mario by end

I never watch react videos, but when this trailer dropped, I just had to go and scour youtube for reactions, I love the striking and immense power of this one singular moment. The well off Mario nostalgia RUNS DEEP, this is an oil well that has been sitting for the better part of HALF A CENTURY. Everybody better go see this in a damn theater.

I was baffled myself, when I saw the Mario Kart segment of the trailer. I wasn't sure at what point in the plot it would make sense to be in. I imagine it's going to be an after credit sequence, just to close out the movie with one little scene of all the characters that we met along the way go karting together.
Nah i bet the credit will be something in og 8bit sprites. I reckon the carts are part of everyone coning together to mske thier stand vs bowser and they on thier way to wreck shit lol

The thing that strikes me, is that mario's voice has always been sound bites in the games, basically zero diologue. It makes sense that they use an actor with a beloved voice, and save the OG for the video games. It also separates them as two "different marios" in case it flops.
This is one of the videos that prove how much SUPER MARIO BROS and MARIO KART are still successful. In this case, NINTENDO was right to allow the animation to take place, as the original film was rubbish.
My prediction: The DK fight scene will be fairly early in the film, and after their little fight the Kongs will say that they will help Mario, Toad, and Peach with Bowser when the time comes. The Mario Kart scene is all the Kongs coming to help Mario, Peach, and Toad storm Bowser's castle. (From what I can see, it's Mario, Peach, Toad, and a bunch of different Kongs Karting)
@Orange_turtle First of all, this is just trailer music. If you want to hear what the music sounds like watch the Game Awards clip. Second, plenty of Mario games have epic soundtracks. Ever heard Galaxy's music before?
@Sup An epic orchestral track is the most unfitting possible genre in a movie about mario. Imagine if the happy gru song from minions was played on an organ. Thats what it sounds like. Not badass but forced, odd, and totally out of place.

@Jared T. Murphy You got me there, the last animated film I saw in theaters was the Demon Slayer Movie in 2021, but that’s because I can’t drive yet.
