I haven't been able to forge steel for some years now due to a spine injury, and your channel really helps me feel like I am still connected to blacksmithing and it means a lot to me, thank you.
You inspired me to start making knifes myself, Im 23 I made a coal forge out of bricks and just finished my first 5 knifes. They are not beautiful but I can see improvement from my first to fifth blade. I hope to be near your level one day. Thank you for you dedication to the craft and for sharing your work to inspire others. Ps; I just cut down a walnut tree with a fat burl under it, we never see handles or scales so I assume you have no wood. I can send you some!
I think this might be one of my favorites of the blades you've made. The patter is so delicatge, so beautiful, and so subtle...plus the design and shape of the blade itself...amazing.
I love the blade geometry you have going on there, with the clearly delineated lines between the point and belly of the blade. Looks super crisp and clean
You are absolutely the most talented knife maker I’ve ever watched. You are an artist sir I continue to pray for you and your families safety Love & respect from NC, USA
Olá Dimitri boa tarde. Caramba, essas não são somente facas, são obras de arte fantásticas. Eu gostava de estar aí contigo para aprender a forjar essas belezas de um artista como tu. Fica seguro e um abraço de Portugal felicidades.
Happy to see you're doing alright and still forging! Loved this blade so much, especially with its dark blade edges. Hope you continue to do well and to keep making what you love ❤
I always love seeing your beautiful blades being made, hope you are doing well and are safe. also I don't know if anyone else saw it, but can you see the smiley face at 1:21 :)
Always something a little different. Never ceases to amaze me how easy you make it all look. I have built myself a small forge and have been messing around with making some knives out of railroad spikes like I once saw you do. Once i get them looking a bit better (and quit overheating them into worthless slag) I am going to try some case hardening. Thank you for the inspiration to try something new.
Seeing a new video from you remains the highlight of my morning-so happy to see you’re still safe and working! The knife is beautiful-almost a kukri shape to the blade! I just love the moment where you finish the last couple steps and the pattern seems to explode out of the metal.
Definitely my favorite blade that I’ve seen you make so far. Amazing shape, fantastic lines and the pattern, simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing your art with us!!
Wow ! Something changed in Dmitry's style : the shape of the blade ( beautiful this one !! ) and the etching of shurap™ !! Beautiful work, as always ! Keep on going !
It is always a joy to see a new video from you. This knife reminds me of the one you made from the armor-piercing projectile. I'm glad that you are safe and well, I hope that Ukraine is soon victorious over the Russian invaders and can begin to rebuild.
You have got to be one of the best people in the world at making canister Damascus. I have heard from a talented blacksmith here where I live that he does not like forging it. Says it is difficult and prone to unwanted complications. These are my all time favorite uploads that you do and the patterns are amazing.
Not just the canister, his complete skill set is top notch. The fit and finish. The grind the works is top level blacksmith. Some of the techniques I've seen him do are out of this world.I love his videos and that he's sharing his craft with all of us! I'm sure a few just watch for the tea some of which are really interesting and pretty looking.
Hard to not be jealous of your abilities. That complex grind with the false is is something I have never managed to do well enough to be happy with. You do incredible work.
Outstanding! Your the only knife maker I'm subscribed to, and I have to admit, I don't come for the knife making, I'm drawn like a moth to a lightbulb just for the shear level of creativity and mastery you have over your chosen medium. May peace find you and your close ones ❤💪
Those bright lines contrasting the Damascus are really beautiful. Just wondering how you chose the design for each piece? Is it just artistic whim or is it a more planned process? Love your work. Stay safe 🇺🇦
You, sir, are a master of your craft! Absolutely stunning blade! I really like the differences in grind profiles. 👌*chef’s kiss* It’s very eye-catching. Of course, I’ve always liked the kukri style too. I’d love to see you make and attach a handle to one of your works of steel art sometime maybe? (that’s a completely selfish request on my part. I’m always left wanting more after watching your videos) Glad to see you are doing well and staying safe. All the best to you and your family from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 Slava Ukraini!🇺🇦
Always good to see a new Shurap Video pop up in my list. Beautiful blade as always; the pattern reminds me a little of the fishhooks blade from a while back ! I pray for the conflict to end, and that you shall remain safe !
I'm curious to see what happens when you use steel electroplated with brass or copper would look like. It would probably weaken the blade, but otherwise look very neat. Stay safe over there! 💚
Amazing blade. I love the kind of hamone that the edge has with that higher carbon steel you threw into the mix. I admire your work and wish to someday have the skill (and money) to do al of the cool stuff you do. Stay safe over there friend.
Glad you are safe on day 270. Let us hope that war ends before day 300. Stay safe. As always a beautiful knife. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful creation with us.
As others have said, so glad to see a new video show up for you & I pray for then return of peace for you country & the world. You never fail to make amazing patterns & blades. Hope you stay safe and healthy.
All this creativity been watching your videos for a long time now! Great work! I wonder what other kinds of items would make great damascus blades/patterns? Keys, screwdrivers, small metal gears? I am always brainstorming ideas. 🤣 the small gears one would be interesting to see.
As usual, another beautiful work of art. This chainlink damascus turned out exquisite. Keep up the great work. Stay safe and pray for peace in your neck of the woods!
Another beautiful knife. Really enjoyed the kukri shaped blade. To know we all wishing you strength, health, and peace. Much love and respect from Chicago USA
Well you did it my friend! That blade is so stunning I almost teared up because of the beauty. Fantastic job my man and thank you for showing us this amazing art.
I could watch this man smithing for years and not get bored.
Magic metalworking.
Stay safe brother
@We are not livestock shut up Russia-bot
@We are not livestock What's the alternative? Not help at all, watch them get overrun, and telling them to stay safe? No hypocrisy there whatsoever :D
Imagine those thousands people sending weapons to his country and telling him to stay safe 😅 Aaah the hypocrites...
It's the hypnotic power of metal fusion.

Absolutely remarkable, as usual. Watching you create such fantastic works of art never gets old.
The way you peeled that canister, my goodness, I've never seen it done with such ease. Love the Kukri, it's nice seeing you use different tools.
GOT YOU SOMETHING DM...... 🎁

Прекрасная работа Мастера! Рисунок замечательный!👏👏👏

What a beautiful knife. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in these horrible times. Stay strong and keep safe. 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇦
I always love seeing your beautiful blades being made, hope you are doing well and are safe.
also I don't know if anyone else saw it, but can you see the smiley face at 1:21 :)
@Scott Weichel yes i would say so, looks like he just welded a lil face on it :)
Noooo wayyy! Nice one
Nice catch!
Is it welded on the end of the box?

The pattern on that blade is stunning. Craftsmanship at its finest. Stay safe and God bless you.
Great work Dmitry. You never cease to amaze me. Stay safe in these tough times.
Definitely my favorite blade that I’ve seen you make so far. Amazing shape, fantastic lines and the pattern, simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing your art with us!!
Another epic and truly beautiful piece Dmitry! Thanks for taking us along and glad that you are still safe and well enough to continue your craft!
Absolutely beautiful pattern. It was great seeing how you made sure the hardened steel was on the cutting edge!!
Of all the amazing things he does with steel, his shaping/sanding/grinding by hand without guide or jig is truly that of an artist.
Wow ! Something changed in Dmitry's style : the shape of the blade ( beautiful this one !! ) and the etching of shurap™ !! Beautiful work, as always ! Keep on going !
Always amazed by your talent!!! Feel privileged that you choose to share it with all of us!
that is an absolutely beautiful blade. Both the pattern & style are amazing.
Shurap, seu trabalho é admirável!
Fernando, o seu trabalho também o é.
It is always a joy to see a new video from you. This knife reminds me of the one you made from the armor-piercing projectile. I'm glad that you are safe and well, I hope that Ukraine is soon victorious over the Russian invaders and can begin to rebuild.

Absolutely. Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing earlier today.
Definitely the seasoning
For real, his skill seems unparalleled
У меня нет слов - одни междометия! Шедевр! Просто феноменально! Вы превратили кузнечное дело в искусство. Всяких Вам благ и успехов!

Inspiring work, as always. Thank you for sharing your processes, and like all your viewers I want you to stay safe and keep making amazing work.

Es una obra de arte, no podes usarlo!!! Es tan lindo que no queres que se arruine!!! Cada cuchillo que haces es más lindo que el anterior!!!
Those bright lines contrasting the Damascus are really beautiful. Just wondering how you chose the design for each piece? Is it just artistic whim or is it a more planned process? Love your work.
Stay safe 🇺🇦
You are a true artist. This is by far my favorite blade that you've made.
This one made my jaw drop! Nice work and I'm glad to keep seeing your videos and hearing you're safe.
