@Grace Gormann Damn Twitter _and_ KZclip!! I got all sort of spoilers before I could reach the end of the season!X-(( But I must also blame my own curiosity and impatience that prevent me from staying *away* from Twitter&KZclip until I finished watching!!And it doesn't help that I've decided not to binge this show but to watch 1 ep each Wednesday!;-P
@Grace Gormann The biggest clue that pointed to Christina Ricci being the big baddie...IS THAT SHE'S CHRISTINA RICCI!!!;-P There's *no way* you put '90s Wednesday in a show about _another_ Wednesday and you don't make them fight at one point!!As soon as I saw her muddy red boots in her very 1st scene I suspected her to be the monster...then Twitter spoiled me its true identity before I could watch ep 2 😓 so *THE MOMENT* the Sheriff said Laurel Gates had drowned I said:"THAT'S WHO '90S WEDNESDAY IS!!!😱GARRETH'S SISTER!!!"and I didn't fall for the(damn)flowers+portrait mislead!>^
Also, one of the clues that pointed to Christina Ricci being the big baddie was the book she gave to Wednesday earlier in the season: Frankenstein. PS- I wouldn’t dare screw anything up for you two. 😬
@John Dicken Actually it's the first Addams Family film. Morticia left the motel to go speak with Fester in person and she was held prisoner. Thing followed her, though, raced back to Gomez, and was trying to sign to him what had happened but he was too frantic, which is when Gomez says the line, and then Thing spills Gomez's cereal and taps it out in Morse code with the spoon. I've seen that film SOOOOOO many times, had to do a correction, sorry
In regards to Principal Weems dying, I love to see them treat the Principal position like the DatDA position in Harry Potter, every season have a new, amazingly talented actor/actress take up the role.
The actor who plays Tyler knew the whole time that not only was he the monster but that he knew it and the whole thing with Wednesday, well they told him to pretend to be a CW character, but it was all part of the ruse to keep tabs on Wednesday, to keep her close to unlock the curse, and to let her get focused on red herrings. Its actually a fun prospect that he escaped and is now just a bad guy on his own (and I also imagine from bts stuff that the show will welcome the actor back in a bigger role) One big Laurel clue that I missed was in episode 6, she hands Wednesday a copy of Frankenstein (other people point to this whole coffee order thing back in episode 4). I too am of the season 2 story being basically save Bianca from the cult as the main mission with some side stories.
Wednesday is the last person to torture Tyler and he managed to get out of his drugged trance in the van just as they drove past her...I think he's going to have a hard time fighting her or leaving her alone because of it...
That was such a fun series to watch with you guys :D I was SO mad about Weems tho... Big fan of Gwendoline Christie and shapeshifters in fantasy. And I really liked the dynamic between Weems and Wednesday.
@Drakoni i would love another shape-shifter coming in, played by GC but with a totally different attitude, like a hippie or gym teacher letting her play different things as well 😄
@Moxy Jones Unless Shapechangers are somehow resistant to nightshade or she managed to get an antidote and sleak away shifted I don't see how you do it without bringing in another shapechanger.
I big thing people forget is the shot of Thornhill entering the crypt at the end of episode 3 I believe. After that, they start throwing in a bunch of misdirects and it tends to get overlooked.
I only just caught something that might be nothing or a really deeeeeep-cut reference. When Tyler says she was dead and Wednesday says "I'm feeling much better now." John Astin, the original Gomez, was a reoccuring character on the TV show Night Court, a formerly committed mental patient who who would often tell wild stories about his past and would always end them with a weird smile and his catchphrase "but I'm feeling much better now."
I like how they did something similar to Encanto. There is a prophecy that people misinterpret. The main character, they think is going to be the destroyer, is actually the one saving.
I definitely caught that, but only in hindsight (specifically when Wednesday was asking the therapist about the removed body parts). I was kicking myself for missing it though.
Now that it's over, if you go back to the dance you can see where she left and when she comes back (when she blew up the cave)! I so badly wanted to say something at that episode's reaction but didn't want to give away any spoilers (when you guys kept saying everyone was there)
I wished they kept Tyler's line in the edit where he said he asked what does it feel like to lose. I would have loved to see their reactions to that line, lol.
It’s funny, the reason I thought Christina Ricci might be the villain from the very first ep was because she’s Christina Ricci 😂 Thanks for doing this one, boys!
I think they've been dropping subtle hints the whole season. Like in the beginning she mentions Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster and in the last episode she talks about meeting new/different people and ✨bonding✨ with them
The pictures are of Wednesday playing the cello in the first episode. They show us a myriad of characters reacting to the music, EXCEPT Miss Thornhill, I didn’t catch it the first time!
Great reactions to this entire season. You know Thornhill/Laurel Gates is dead because she tried to kill Thing and Wednesday promised her a slow and painful death for that. It's very cool that they left that part up to our imaginations though.
The Principal may very well be still alive. If you notice Lurch in the first few episodes, his eyes are white, like a dead corpse. However when you see him at the end, his eyes have color. Could have been a miss by post editing, but I think it might be a subtle hint that she is alive.
The showrunners and writers of this show knew how to utilise Tim Burton's visual directing flair without it being all style and no substance. Loved this show!
Loved Wednesday and can’t wait for Season 2!!! Love love love love your channel and the fun you both have working with each other! Looking forward to both of your reviews of the next season!
“quality butt-stuff content” 😂😂😂 omg I nearly choked on my water!! 😂 “weren’t they trying to get Crackhouse back from the dead or something” ….. 😂😂😂 you both got me so good!
A clue that pointed to Thornhill (Christina Ricci) that many people seem to have missed is her drink of choice at the Weathervane. In the episode 3, Thornhill tells the Mayor that she orders a daily matcha latte. But in episode 4, Tyler says that he knows Thornhill because she comes in for a "double-cap, no foam, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla"
You have to give a lot of credit to the writers and creators. Gough and miller. They created Smallville the tv series. A bunch of other things. They are very good writers.
I think the death of the Head Master makes an opening that could be filled by one of the Addams Family's supporting characters. I'm thinking Cousin It. He was hinted at in the painting in the Nightshade clubhouse.
I seriously don't get why people think that was out of character for tyler. He was pushing her around since eps 2 when he was like "wah wah I thought we liked each other" and she never gave any sign of that. He had been doing gaslighting and lying since the beginning.
I scoffed when this show was first announced, but the joke's on me I guess since I ended up loving it lol. I would've liked ONE more episode since the finale was a bit rushed, but at the very least there's a second season and there's still some mysteries to solve.
I've loved you guys since day one (remember I'm the one who suggested a live show in NY that I'd fly up for when I live in Atlanta). WELLLLL, now I live in Australia so I'm thinking you should do a World Tour!!
So I dont know if people have brought this up, but Christina Rice wasn't originally who was cast for the role. It was going to be Thora Birch but she dropped out at the last second. I wonder if it had been her if it would have seemed so "obvious"
Boot to the Head: Great 4 to the Floor reference Weems was in a 1956 comic portrait, as a babysitter, so I consider her near legacy. It would be a shame if she was truly killed. Tyler's descent into simple single minded villainy was really disappointing given the amount of time giving him a complex redemptive arc. And given what the writer's wrote about the Hyde and Tyler's emotional state (screaming in the bathtub included) it somewhat fly's in the face of what Tyler said. So that equals confusing writing or a main character not telling the truth. I didn't like the Enid Wednesday hug-it was for the audience and Enid kept pushing herself on Wednesday. I really liked the Thing/Enid moment in the forest-that was real. Thanks for watching.
We don't see what happens to Thornhill after Wednesday stomps on her the first time but I don't think it would be a single stomp. She promised Thing that those who attacked him would suffer in a long slow painful way. It is possible Thonhill is either very messed up or dead
Goulash is a soup with spice and is extremely delicious. Popular in Eastern Europe. Also.. I often think if subbing to the Pat but I really don't want to see "butt stuff" between you two lol. Live your best lives!
My theory. We never get told the ultimate fate of Tyler's mum. I think the woman at the beginning who is giving the guy a lift is Tyler's mother and that it's her killing the guy later in the woods.
Funny how Americans think this dance is so phenomenal...I mean it's creative and Jenna did an AMAZING job at displaying Wednesday's attitude, but she said herself that one of her biggest inspiration was Nina Hagen who did so many elements of that dance 30 years ago
Guys, I loved this series ♥ but . . . . you all need to react to the pitch meeting for the series. Hgh-Larious and does point out the inconsistencies 🙂
I think the term is apimancer. Loved this episode, think they just about nailed that perinnial final episode issue. Enough of the loose ends tied up to be a nice conclusion but it didn't feel rushed and left us with more for season 2. Loved that everyone got their chance to shine too, yes the show is called Wednesday and it's not an ensemble show in the strictest sense but they're all more than just plot devices and exposition sources. Enid is absolutely my favourite of the characters, but you can't help but have a soft spot for Eugene too. In fact the only character that really left me flat was Xavier, and sadly I think that's down to the actor. Bring on season 2!
I think maybe Xander is Telekinesist. Xander use Telekinesis to move the ink in his painting and make them alive. Eugene migth be a telepath and able to communicate with the bees. More to see next season. So exited. Great review guys ^^.
re: Principal Weems - they could do that Harry Potter thing where every season, Nevermore gets a new principal the way Harry had different defence against the dark arts teachers
21:30 Absolutely not ironic that TIKTOK is exploiting Wednesday's character...I mean ...did these creators even watch the show?...and get what her beliefs are?
To be clear Jay was right when he said the battle in front of the burning tree was a set up for the second season, you just didn’t realize that the second season was in the last 20 minutes of this episode
The headache I have from how hard I laughed at “quality butt stuff.” 😂😂😂 Best blooper ever. 👏👏👏 Love you guys. Thanks for the splendid rewatch. 🙏❤️
Somewhere in the multiverse, Adam is a power bottom.
@Nicamon Damn Twitter! She really was the perfect casting choice, no matter what role they put her in.
Fun fact: Emma Myers (Enid) is a gymnast and did most of her own stunts as the wolf
My lady killed me when we were watching thing talk to Enid and says "Slow down! It's terrible when you stutter!" I died that night.
I did the same thing! I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who can quote that movie by heart.
That's a call back to "Addams Family Values" when Gomez is trying to understand Thing when he was frantically signing the Wednesday was in danger.
In regards to Principal Weems dying, I love to see them treat the Principal position like the DatDA position in Harry Potter, every season have a new, amazingly talented actor/actress take up the role.
Rumor has it it’s going to be Angelica Huston. Morticia for the 90s films
One big Laurel clue that I missed was in episode 6, she hands Wednesday a copy of Frankenstein (other people point to this whole coffee order thing back in episode 4).
"Make him taste the rainbow!" was the best comment. 😂
The way I cried when they finally hugged.
I've watched that episode and that scene so many times and have cried every time. It's such an earned moment.
That was such a fun series to watch with you guys :D
I was SO mad about Weems tho... Big fan of Gwendoline Christie and shapeshifters in fantasy. And I really liked the dynamic between Weems and Wednesday.
They could just go for good old-fashioned necromancy.
Apparently she will return as well as Ricci. You should see who else is joining in next season
@Drakoni i would love another shape-shifter coming in, played by GC but with a totally different attitude, like a hippie or gym teacher letting her play different things as well 😄
Ooh, unless the shape she took that looked like Gwendoline is actually based on someone else she knew, who might not even be a shapechanger 🤔
@Moxy Jones Unless Shapechangers are somehow resistant to nightshade or she managed to get an antidote and sleak away shifted I don't see how you do it without bringing in another shapechanger.
I love how Tyler went full Hans from Frozen 😂
Jay’s blooper had me in tears, and Adam being so chill about it! I laughed so hard!!!
I would love a spin-off “Adam tries a new food”. Sounds like he has a very limited palette.
I'd be down for that!
The way I cried like a baby when Wednesday and Enid hugged was something interesting lmao
I big thing people forget is the shot of Thornhill entering the crypt at the end of episode 3 I believe. After that, they start throwing in a bunch of misdirects and it tends to get overlooked.
Butt stuff content?!! 2 minutes and 17 seconds in and you made me laugh so loud I woke up my husband and my dogs! Well done guys!
Looking back on the series, did anyone catch the (possible) clue? Ricci gave Wednesday the "Frankenstein " book as a gift.
She also mentioned the thing about meeting new people and ✨bonding✨
I definitely caught that, but only in hindsight (specifically when Wednesday was asking the therapist about the removed body parts). I was kicking myself for missing it though.
Peaches:
Come for the laughs.
Stay for the butt stuff.......ton of content
So now we have to wait for the full on hug from Adam and Jay.
Also, don’t hate on goulash. It’s delicious.
I knew it was Christina Ricci when she bumped into Wednesday at the dance and it gave rise to the vision in the woods.
Wednesday/Enid and Brasso/Andor are the 2 best tv hugs I've seen in a while
Now that it's over, if you go back to the dance you can see where she left and when she comes back (when she blew up the cave)! I so badly wanted to say something at that episode's reaction but didn't want to give away any spoilers (when you guys kept saying everyone was there)
I would love to see that next season! Wednesday and Bianca team up to take down Gabrielle! Yes please.
I wished they kept Tyler's line in the edit where he said he asked what does it feel like to lose. I would have loved to see their reactions to that line, lol.
Enid to the rescue will always be a vibe.
🎶 This bit is gonna be a bit rough, so let's save it with some butt stuff! 🎶
I'd kiss you right now, but you'd inevitably fall in love with me, and that would get messy, so.....
Jay doing the triangle secretly was priceless..
Okay Adam. The initial "Boops" when the Hyde transformed slayed me. Three snap sass salute, sir.
It’s funny, the reason I thought Christina Ricci might be the villain from the very first ep was because she’s Christina Ricci 😂
Thanks for doing this one, boys!
Enid for the win
You guys really make the most of living in a box! Good job and thank you 😊
'Boot to the Head' reference almost made me spew my early Sunday afternoon Irish coffee.
I think they've been dropping subtle hints the whole season. Like in the beginning she mentions Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster and in the last episode she talks about meeting new/different people and ✨bonding✨ with them
what a fun time i had with you all on this show. Can't wait till next season. Just like Arcane this was a well deserved bump onto the main slate
5:10 Adam calls Crackstone "Crackhouse" and I love it.
The Principal may very well be still alive. If you notice Lurch in the first few episodes, his eyes are white, like a dead corpse. However when you see him at the end, his eyes have color. Could have been a miss by post editing, but I think it might be a subtle hint that she is alive.
To be fair, Gwendoline Christie will be extremly busy filming season 2 of Sandman.
Gwendoline will be in Severance season 2. Which is a series you should seriously consider watching, it's phenomenal.
That hug! 🥺😊🥰
Jay, to your credit my favorite Burton movie is Big Fish, which is restrained from his spooky style just enough. That movie is a masterpiece.
Your reactions always make me feel happy. Doesn't really matter what you're watching.
Great reaction to season 1, Dark Shadows is a great Tim Burton film 😀
Jenna Ortega is SUCH a good actress.
I seem to remember it being mentioned that Hydes suffer from a variant of bipolar disorder (I think the referent was regarding Tyler's mother).
The showrunners and writers of this show knew how to utilise Tim Burton's visual directing flair without it being all style and no substance. Loved this show!
I see you with the Doctor Demento reference Adam 👀❤️
Loved Wednesday and can’t wait for Season 2!!! Love love love love your channel and the fun you both have working with each other! Looking forward to both of your reviews of the next season!
“quality butt-stuff content” 😂😂😂 omg I nearly choked on my water!! 😂
“weren’t they trying to get Crackhouse back from the dead or something” ….. 😂😂😂 you both got me so good!
Ohhh that twin idea is really good! I want to see Gwendoline Christie again.
"if you figure it out you get a prize right?" ... ""Yes... The dopamine hit of feeling good about myself" 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
For the algorithm…see you boys on Patreon for the full length.
Loved these reactions!! Would love to see more willow reactions as well!!
A clue that pointed to Thornhill (Christina Ricci) that many people seem to have missed is her drink of choice at the Weathervane. But in episode 4, Tyler says that he knows Thornhill because she comes in for a "double-cap, no foam, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla"
Thing being there for enid when she transformed back was the most sentimental part of this show I think
You have to give a lot of credit to the writers and creators. Gough and miller. They created Smallville the tv series. A bunch of other things. They are very good writers.

Had no idea grace was still editing for you guys. Cool.
Professional reactors, doing butt stuff in a box 😅
Jay is just a 13 year old girl, deep down inside.
So I dont know if people have brought this up, but Christina Rice wasn't originally who was cast for the role. It was going to be Thora Birch but she dropped out at the last second. I wonder if it had been her if it would have seemed so "obvious"
They didn’t tell the actor for Tyler he was the villain until they shot the scene of him killing the therapist
That's completely untrue. They told him right after he was cast.
I love ghoulash
By the way gulyás means "herdsman" in Hungarian.
Boot to the Head: Great 4 to the Floor reference
Weems was in a 1956 comic portrait, as a babysitter, so I consider her near legacy. It would be a shame if she was truly killed.

This felt more like Sleepy Hollow Tim Burton. And I'm down with that.
Momma!! Jays talkin bout butt stuff again!! (Mom clutches pearls)😆
You had me at "butt stuff".
So one of the reasons I started watching this show is because I came across a music video of Wednesday scenes set to "Toxic" 😂
Came for the reaction, stayed for the butt stuff.
This show was so much fun. The finale was a bit too scooby doo for me, but overall the show was a blast and I can’t wait for season 2.
Anjelica Huston is rumored to be the new principal in season 2
We don't see what happens to Thornhill after Wednesday stomps on her the first time but I don't think it would be a single stomp. She promised Thing that those who attacked him would suffer in a long slow painful way. It is possible Thonhill is either very messed up or dead
Goulash is a soup with spice and is extremely delicious. Popular in Eastern Europe. Also.. I often think if subbing to the Pat but I really don't want to see "butt stuff" between you two lol. Live your best lives!
Boooo how could you cut out when he asked how it feels to lose... its a great moment that messes everyone up
My theory. We never get told the ultimate fate of Tyler's mum. I think the woman at the beginning who is giving the guy a lift is Tyler's mother and that it's her killing the guy later in the woods.
100% agree on twin sister
As a card carrying member of the Patreon I think I missed the new content the butt🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jay, I'm with you. I love puzzles, and soon as I start watching something like this, I'm putting together who is who.
"Make him taste the rainbow" XD
Funny how Americans think this dance is so phenomenal...I mean it's creative and Jenna did an AMAZING job at displaying Wednesday's attitude, but she said herself that one of her biggest inspiration was Nina Hagen who did so many elements of that dance 30 years ago
Number one question. If Xavier gave her a new phone how did the stalker get the number to send the photos?🤔
Guys, I loved this series ♥ but . . . . you all need to react to the pitch meeting for the series. Hgh-Larious and does point out the inconsistencies 🙂
I think the term is apimancer. Loved this episode, think they just about nailed that perinnial final episode issue. Luccios totally a siren, but I always pronounced her name "Luke-io". Huh
Jay though he was doing a reaction for Vox Machina and went full Scanlan with the butt stuff
2:04 not the freudian slip 😂
I think maybe Xander is Telekinesist. Xander use Telekinesis to move the ink in his painting and make them alive. Eugene migth be a telepath and able to communicate with the bees. More to see next season. So exited. Great review guys ^^.
Box? I now have the mental image of you both trapped in The Phantom Zone window effect from Superman-Superman II.
Along with the season 2 announcement, did you hear that Angelica Huston will be the new principal of Nevermore?
Christina Ricci hitting Wednesday Addams with a shovel is very meta.
Gulasch is amazing. You should try it.
re: Principal Weems - they could do that Harry Potter thing where every season, Nevermore gets a new principal the way Harry had different defence against the dark arts teachers
21:30 Absolutely not ironic that TIKTOK is exploiting Wednesday's character...I mean ...did these creators even watch the show?...and get what her beliefs are?
YES! JAY! Assassin's reference!
To be clear Jay was right when he said the battle in front of the burning tree was a set up for the second season, you just didn’t realize that the second season was in the last 20 minutes of this episode
I have the longest talks with my cousin over the phone 🤣
