I am very glad to see this video again. Let me take the chance to ask you a question. I have a, totally empirical, theory that the more you translate into your L1 the less you'll need to translate in the future. What do you make of it? Looking forward to hearing from you. Pedro from Brazil.

Thank you so much. You are always so helpful. I have a dilemma please help. I don't understand what the grammar rule is here on this sentence. 'I will be more likely to achieve the clear speech and spontaneous fluency that I desire. ' Is this sentence in future continous tense? Why is there no 'ing' in the verb?

    • Pedro J. Nascimento

Future = will / you think there should be an ing in which verb? achieve or desire?

    Hi there
I have a question to ask you if you do not mind.
Could you please tell me the difference between the next two statements.
1-“A pedestrian who is crossing a roadway at any point other than within a crosswalk shall yield the right of way to vehicles on the roadway”.
2-“Pedestrians should always be given the right of way even when they enter the roadway inappropriately".
Is there any contradiction between them.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your knowledge of English.

The history of OK that the teacher told us in school :in the war I think in England they used to write the number of people killed. It was like 500 killed, 1000 killed :500 k 1000k when many days passed with 0 killed they wrote 0 k from 0k they said OK.
