Good move by both teams and even better for the Nets. The Nets get back Dinwiddie, a big body in Smith, decent picks, cap space and most importantly, they didn’t allow Kyrie to just walk.
@Fan123 Maybe a change of scenery will be best for Dinwiddie and Smith. Mind you, Dinwiddie may play even better because he’s played for the Nets before.
@B Positive I’m a Mavs fan and I’ve watched every Mavs game and trust me Dinwiddie is a terrible defender and has locker room issues as well. Dorian is a fan favorite but any Mavs fan can tell you he has regressed and Mavs sold him at his highest point. Nico Harrison tricked y’all with the post saying Dorian would only be traded for a star and the Nets fell for it. Dorian is regressing and we all Mavs fans know it 🤣
@Mike Nguyen You're missing one important thing. The Mavs have JKidd and Nico, both of who know him very well. The Nets had terrible coaches and JKidd and staff will put him in a position to be successful in the organization. The fact that Luka finally has another star will only give him more opportunities to rest as he doesn't always have to bring up the ball. Many dont realize Luka can play of the ball at times. Now the Mavs have two of the best closers in the NBA who can get a bucket whenever they need it. Dont forget Christian Wood is another scoring threat and has been blocking many shots late in the game when they've needed it. I still think the Mavs are not done yet.
That was a great move by the Dallas Mavericks acquiring Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets!!! Good move Dallas!!! Let's go Mavericks!!! Welcome to Dallas Kyrie Irving!!! Go Mavs!!!
On paper Luka & Kyrie is a crazy combination if they can develop team chemistry, but because of their personalities I think they might clash at some point.
Kyrie, the temptation that teams can't resist, but end up regretting. Where he goes follows the collateral damage of bad trades and lost draft picks and a franchise effected for years.
@Iambriangregory Why don’t you take your own advice it’s certainly his place to comment just as it is your’s. And for the record I totally agree with his comment.
@Vincent Salamatino ”Collectively, I feel like we have great pieces,” Irving said, “but it’s pretty glaring we need one more piece or two more pieces that will complement myself, KD [Kevin Durant], DJ [DeAndre Jordan], GT [Garrett Temple], Spence [Dinwiddie], Caris [LeVert], and we’ll see how that evolves.” That’s a direct quote from three seasons ago. His footprints all over this situation.
As a Sixer's fan I was happy when they broke up Levert, Jared Allen, and Dinwiddie they used to kill the Sixers guards. Luck the Sixers had Embiid but they use to run past Simmons and Covington. Sixer's guard couldn't guard them...
@_ Certified I don’t hate Luka or Kyrie Bro they both are Great Players And Can put up big Numbers I believe the mav got better with this Trade But they plays no Defense the Trade was to get Luka some help he staying hurt trying to carry the team Remember Bro there is 1 basketball they both ball hogs
since the Kyrie trade talks/possible landing spot, I always knew that If anyone was audaciously bold enough to make this trade it was Mark Cuban , dude always gone cut that check 😂
@Common sense is now a superpower In skill, he is. LeBron and others have said so themselves. And he's pretty much the best overall offensive player in the NBA now. So he's in the top 10 overall and climbing.
I don't think this was a smart trade. 🤔. Both Kyrie and Luka NEED the ball in their hands. They both are very ball dominant. The question is who's gonna yield their ball dominance ? Dallas is Luka's team it's hard imagining him yielding to kyrie. I predict he does not sign with Dallas .
Luka is the same player as LeBron was back in the day at least offensively anyway, and if kyrie and Bron did it together with a worst team, Luka can get it done too
@Ben Mercer there's a chance It can work but chances are greater for it not to work . Their playstyles are identical. It's like you have 2 of the same player and skill set on the same team. If Dallas dosent make it to West coast finals or finals Kyrie will leave in the summer
Slicc He underperformed because Luka never utilized him correctly. When healthy, he's a stretch 4/5 who can also catch lobs. He is also a rim protector. You can't confuse injuries for talent. As a New York Knicks fan we were sorry to see him go. He had recent back to back 30 pt games and has 38 two nights ago.
Slicc Because Harden is versatlie enough to be a pass first PG. Luka is not a pass first PG. He didnt create enough plays for KP. Plus we never got a chance to judge that trio in the playoffs. That's where teams watch film and makes adjustments. You are judging them on a small body of work.
@That’s Game! TVJames Harden was willing to be a distributor and we never got to judge them in a deep playoff run. Luka never found a way to utilize KP who was a versatile big. How do people expect him to utilize Kyrie who is undersized as a 2 and a bad defender. You speak as if The Nets had great success with Kyrie and Harden.
Good for both parties. I'm happy for KI he's outta there. I also hope KD have success. But his troubles are not over because I have yet to see anybody in the media to not try to detroy his career.
I bet the Nets are glad the distortion is gone. I'd understand any franchise not giving Kyrie a 4 year deal. Because of past actions he's only good for a 1 year deal. Cause for him issues besides basketball affect him so much he apparently can't perform to his full potential. More loyal to his own stances then towards the game of basketball or any franchise. And that is his choice to make, but don't be bewildered when at the same time basketball organizations don't want you around. From an organization perspective I'd never ever trust this man with a 4 year deal. 'Not gonna be able to do it!' Mark Cuban and the organization beware, don't let this twist into a negative influence on your young star if this man becomes a fifth wheel and holds the rest back. We've seen it happen before.
Blessings 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾 I knew he was not on the court because he was transitioning. All the talk about he not wanting to play etc. We have to stop attacking these guys character. Bless 🙏🏾
@Iambriangregory Why am I worried about Kyre? He is handling his business. He is making decisions he needs to make. Am saying why they fussing about Kyre making decisions for him and his family. Critics will do the same put in similar situations. Bless 🙏🏾
Kyrie and Durant were both unlucky , without injuries they were going to win the ECF and probably the title in 2021, they both were stated as unable to win without lebron an curry and unforunately this is what happened Kyrie and especialy durant deserved to win a new ring in 2021 but it seems that they will remain ringless after the cavs and warriors era
Great move Mavericks!! This is huge for us Dallas fans!! The Mavs have a good chance to win a championship before the Cowboys!! Now we have something to feel better about!!
@mrmaxcarter I haven’t trusted dak since after last season when they lost to the 49ers the first time he’s to inconsistent and you need consistency in the playoffs to win 4 games against the games best
@Ryan Taylor I know. The point was currently. Mavs have a better chance to win before the cowboys, but that's a low bar with over paid Dak. He stinks in the playoffs.
I don’t think this gonna work luka gone have to take a step back and let his teammates shine Brunson hooping now cause he has more control instead of luka wanting to doing anything
Been a Mavs fan my entire life, 40+ years. Had season tickets for over a decade, until I moved across the country. Still a rabid fan. But I’ve never been this embarrassed and disgusted with Cuban or my favorite team. As long as he wears the uniform, I hope they lose every game.
I just pray that Kyrie Irvin does not destroy or ruin Luka Cus he has so much potential! Kyrie is the only person that keeps going from good to better to awesome to great situation Even know he disgruntled lmao
@Iambriangregory I see reality, you don't. Kyrie is likely to be toxic for Luka, assuming both are healthy and on the court. I also don't know what you're smoking if you're trying to compare Luka with Kevin Love.
@Giffond Hall Kyrie and KD are my two favorite players in the NBA which is why I was rooting for the Nets. If KD is gone, I would not watch the Nets at all.
Idk… I’m still old school with the importance of 1. Easy Buckets 2. Ball Passive Buckets 3. Taking opponents out with foul trouble Kyrie and Luka can trade off and provide each other rest, but another HOFer floating Big for league dominance
Hey Einstein Luke has more to gain he has no championship no reputation of any championship note he's playing with a champion and if he does win the championship it will be because of Kyrie got it cuz he surely hasn't done it yet duh
No way KD hanging around, nets are full rebuild now. But problem is the teams that actually have another star can't afford KD, so he might end up in a bum team. Will be sad if KD ends up in Jazz or Bulls. He is my favourite player to watch and that will lose NBA a lot of views
Kinda feel bad for the Nets. It's like when they traded for Celtics players past their prime and it didn't work out. Only difference is they had three guys in their prime in KD, Kyrie, and Harden and it still didn't work. History repeats itself.
Dallas should have tried to keep Dinwiddie. Looks like the Brooklyn Nets won this trade by a big margin. If Dallas does not win the Western conference, they got fleeced IMO. Now Dallas has to acquire a scorer to replace Dinwiddie to make the team competitive.
Several thoughts 1. Clearly the Mavericks were the winner on this trade but the Nets really had no other options. 2. Dinwiddie is a good player but he is definitely not on Kyrie's level. Finney Smith is okay but per his stats, his productivity has plateaued out now in his 7th NBA season. Maybe on a new team he could progress. 3. The Mavericks now have to hope several things happen in the near future a. They can resign Kyrie at the end of season b. Josh Green and Christian Wood stay healthy and are productive c. Kyrie behaves himself, is a good teammate, meshes well with Luka, stays healthy and continues to play at this high level.
@Young Fu To be fair, Kyrie is far from what AB has become. Kyrie is anti-establishment, to be sure, and his basketball career seems to be secondary, but he is not as unstable as AB. AB has ruined his life. Most of what Kyrie is done/said is not that damaging to his personal life. He just offends the mainstream.
Point C is the tough one. Kryie is like a female with emotions all over the place, i find it unlikely he’ll find his emotion stability before the season ends. He’s the NBA’s AB
If lebron kyrie worked it can work with luka also. Risky trade but a good one as far as i am concerned. No more double teaming luka. Kyrie as SG will have an open lane to the basket all the time. Jesus if it clicks this will be such a destructive offensive back court!
@Agrinddandi Yes ...but nevertheless he still left, and he also has a history of bailing out on different teams. Kyrie only cares about Kyrie. The only way I can see him playing in Dallas for another year, it's if they give him the max. But careful, he'll want a trade shortly after getting the bag.
@FG i also remember him saying he regrets that decision. Ww can all agree kyrie is a high rusk trade but it will make mavs a much more entertaining team to watch if not contenders :)
Steals aren't a big deal. I think harden was top ten steals a little whilst back. Luke isnt top 10 this year..not even top 30. The difference between 1 and top 30 is like 0.5 steals per game..not really difference making when you're talking 105 possessions per game. When was the last time someone got signed to a big contract because of their steals? No one cares about steals.
@Robert Rex I was about to say same exact thing like you don’t have to like Kyrie I get it, but to act like he’s not extremely intelligent and successful is just hate
People are laughing about this 2029 first rounder but it will be used as a trade piece, along with another first rounder, here in the next few days. Nets aren't done yet.
Depends which Kyrie you get a engaged Kyrie or uninterested Kyrie, Some nights he will makes mavs look really good other we will ask why mavs did this.
Two ball dominant guards on the same team (one of which literally can't do shit without the ball in his hands). Interesting to see how this is gunna shake out
This is the worse decision involving personnel by the Dallas Mavericks in NBA History. It won't be long before Ervin rocks the boat and is displeased displaying the baggage he carries wherever he goes. The Mavericks need big men and they gave up way to much.
To keep saying the Mavs are currently in 6th place in the West Standings, but when you really look at it, they are only just 2 games back from being in the 3rd spot. The Mavs have had a lot of injuries to several key players, including Luka, but they will soon get back Maxi Kleber and Christian Wood and now Kyrie which will certainly put them into the top 4 where they need to be.
@ArchtopNYC Dude, they are only gonna get better, not worse. The Mavs have had their share of major injuries. At one point they had three starters out for over two weeks. They are expected to be at full strength within the next week or so. If they are in 6 with all those injuries and with Luka missing 7 games should certainly improve their chances of getting back to where they will wound up being. Luka and Kyrie combined will certainly be much better than most of those teams in the West.
@Brian Badonde That is not true, not sure where you got that from; discussion with a possible trade partner contracts extensions etc not allowed. They traded him to the Mavs to be spiteful because they knew Kyrie wanted to reunite with Bron which he will this summer
They're probably just sick of him but at some point GMs need to stop letting the athletes call the shots. Just say no and force them to play. If they are medically cleared to play and don't then they don't get paid and they get fined.
Been a Mavs fan since Finely Nash Dirk. (Brad) I trust the Mavs sees something about KYRIE I don't... He's a EXCELLENT PLAYER,when he plays and not a distraction. If he a Luka Gel. They'll be unbeatable. If Kyrie DOES what he did in Bos CLE or Brooklyn....smh. I hope he's to Luka what LeBron was to HIM. That said... I think the NETS won on this Trade. Dinwiddie is Solid. Been Solid. He'll do his Job. Durant will do the rest. GSW WILL REPEAT!!
MJ and Pippen were better because Pippen didn’t need the ball in his hands Luke needs the ball Kyrie needs it and Kyrie will leave after not wanting to play with LukaStatPadder Doncic
In 2K this is an awesome deal. In real life though...man...I can already see Kyrie complaining about Luka not passing the rock enough. If Kyrie accepts his role as the secondary piece the Mavs will be super dangerous. But that's a huge *if*.
Kyrie is obviously suffering from a "grass is greener on the other side" symptom. He was unhappy in Cleveland. He was very unhappy in Boston. He then became a Net, and this happened. I wonder when he will become unhappy in Dallas. I would give him a year or 1.5 years.
@D E I agree and you make a solid point. I think Cuban saw that Kyrie lost his wiggle room and took a risk with high enough potential reward to justify the move. He gets first shot to sign Irving at a deep discount and if by some crazy twist ends up walking after the season you got cap space. I just don't see a ring as a realistic goal but won't be surprised if they play some great basketball
@I am Groot! Yeah, but why not take the chance? You don't get perfect scenarios in a highly competitive landscape of NBA ownership. So you have to take risks and try to make them work. Do I think it's going to work? No. No, I do not. But if it does, it will be worth it.
Steve Francis. Allen Iverson. Baron Davis. Kyrie Irving... for real hoop heads we understand that those players are _beautiful basketball players._ Their game is what we all know deep down can and should dominate on the pro level but very rarely do the players with that very specific kinda game make it all the way through the process. Smh. What's understood doesn't need explaining. And if I forgot anyone please shout'em out. Honorable mention to Vince, Tracy, TJ Ford, Chris Kaman, Jokic, John Wall, Rose etc
Good move by both teams and even better for the Nets. The Nets get back Dinwiddie, a big body in Smith, decent picks, cap space and most importantly, they didn’t allow Kyrie to just walk.

@James Ryan Lynch Plenty of people don’t understand the business side.
This was a great deal for Brooklyn. Im shocked how many ppl think otherwise.
@Mike Nguyen You're missing one important thing. The Mavs have JKidd and Nico, both of who know him very well. The Nets had terrible coaches and JKidd and staff will put him in a position to be successful in the organization. Brooklyn couldn’t even make the playoffs before Kyrie got there
Now that's how you make a power play making moves that makes sense and cents. Nets did a phenomenal job, good deal, Tony the tiger style tough 👏
Nobody seen this coming.
Edit: Spencer goes back to Nets. He almost made all star when he played there. One if the most underrated players
Dinwiddie is a terrible defender
durant I'm out
@General Aladeen you're too late with the prediction and kyrie already said he dont wanna be there.
Not the most.
I saw this comin. Read an article about it being the only potential trade.
Brooklyn should've kept Jared Allen and Caris Levert
📠 that trade never made sense to me
@Vincent Salamatino ”Collectively, I feel like we have great pieces,” Irving said, “but it’s pretty glaring we need one more piece or two more pieces that will complement myself, KD [Kevin Durant], DJ [DeAndre Jordan], GT [Garrett Temple], Spence [Dinwiddie], Caris [LeVert], and we’ll see how that evolves.”
That’s a direct quote from three seasons ago. His footprints all over this situation.
@Anthony Jones kyrie just want a superteam
As a Sixer's fan I was happy when they broke up Levert, Jared Allen, and Dinwiddie they used to kill the Sixers guards. Luck the Sixers had Embiid but they use to run past Simmons and Covington. Sixer's guard couldn't guard them...
Kyrie and Luka, two of the most skilled players we have ever seen on one team! Gonna be fun and makes Dallas a contender now.
@MOJAVEDESERT SONORANDESERT then name more skilled players than those two.
Nope, not the two most skilled players on one team...😂 You must be new to basketball-meaning only 10 years in...
@Don Cooper yep, the nets have gotten better with this trade. but the Luka hate is uncalled for my guy xD
@V Mack Why are you talking about last season? I'm talking about this season.
Mavs just made the move to keep Luca, happy for them and Kyrie.
Spencer back to Brooklyn! I like it! Hopefully gets more appreciation this time around.
Teams built like this will give the refs even more control of the outcomes of games, if possible.
W for Mavs! Best trade in a while
since the Kyrie trade talks/possible landing spot, I always knew that If anyone was audaciously bold enough to make this trade it was Mark Cuban , dude always gone cut that check 😂
Mark Cuban is like that dude that swipes right on every girl in a dating app
My condolences to the Mavs fans.
@thorrrr196 the one making no moves
@James Shn The Soap Opera that is Kyrie is about to premier new episodes :-P make some popcorn and sit back and enjoy the madness that ensues. hehe
get ready for drama
Dallas now has the two most skilled players in the NBA. should be fun.
Not a fan of Dallas but the Mavs are going to be seriously dangerous to match up against!
@Common sense is now a superpower In skill, he is. LeBron and others have said so themselves. And he's pretty much the best overall offensive player in the NBA now. So he's in the top 10 overall and climbing.
Luka isn't top 5
god i haven't watched basketball in a while but this is gonna be amazing to watch if it works. luka and kyrie move through the defence like wrens
Thank you for allowing yourself to be able to disagree without being disrespectful. Highly appreciated. Great video and perspective.
Back to back …. Good job Mavericks
This has big potential
I don't think this was a smart trade. 🤔. Both Kyrie and Luka NEED the ball in their hands. They both are very ball dominant. The question is who's gonna yield their ball dominance ? Dallas is Luka's team it's hard imagining him yielding to kyrie. I predict he does not sign with Dallas .

Luka isn’t gonna have to get 50 every night tho, come on now think about it
@Red pill the hood that’s more of speculation then an opinion lol

@Red pill the hood I'm betting he does, he's mentioned how good Luka is. These players know Luka is generational. It may work, time will tell.
He is definitely a top 5 pg but it's when he actually plays.
156 games played and 142 he sat. How much does he make per minute he plays ? Someone do the math, its ridiculous.
@Dwayne St john if you don’t think it is relate to who he is then I give up.
@Vay Duong & sum ppl think Jesus is real 💀
@Vay Duong ok what does that have to do with basketball??
The guy thinks the earth is flat 😂.
He be a BIG help in the playoffs
Important note that everyone is missing: Kyrie didn’t approve this trade nor did the Nets care.
Kyrie and Luka could be CRAZY
Kyrie Irving and Luka like this an interesting duo now on the west coast.
Slicc He underperformed because Luka never utilized him correctly. When healthy, he's a stretch 4/5 who can also catch lobs. He is also a rim protector. You can't confuse injuries for talent. @Malik Johnson and that took riding lebrons coat tail. Soooo? He’s done nothing on his own. Ever.
Kyrie has a ring Brooklyn doesn’t
We brooklyn nets just got robbed.
Amen! Adios Kyrie! So glad the drama queen is going to Texas! LoL
I'm not a big 🏀 fan but I always wanted to see him in the mavs fr fr
Blessings 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
I knew he was not on the court because he was transitioning. All the talk about he not wanting to play etc.
We have to stop attacking these guys character.
Bless 🙏🏾
@F F I deeply apologize somehow either I misunderstood your comment or sent it to the wrong person I am going to delete it I am sorry you are right
@Iambriangregory Why am I worried about Kyre? He is handling his business. He is making decisions he needs to make. Am saying why they fussing about Kyre making decisions for him and his family. Critics will do the same put in similar situations.

@CTCards Exactly.
This trade is terrible for the Mavs
Good trade for Dallas they might make a run for the chip
Coach Kidd is legendary.. he kyrie and luka will do well
I don’t know why but I feel like we finna see uncle drew again😭😭
Luka + Kyrie = Greatest back court of all-time 🏀
Not even close but it is a great combo ..
I don’t think that they are a good fit
Not if they only end up taking turns with the ball.
Settle down 🤣🤣 They said the same about kd and Kyrie and Kyrie as usual decided to abandon ship 💀
I don’t think this gonna work luka gone have to take a step back and let his teammates shine Brunson hooping now cause he has more control instead of luka wanting to doing anything
I knew he wasn’t going to the lakers!!! 🤣😂😂😂 Reality has just sit in!!! 🤣🤣🤣😂
Is this a move to get to the Lakers? I just don't see him being happy in Dallas but it could be magical if he decided to try it
Why not? I’m in Dallas by the way, but not from here originally.
Luka gonna have his first ring 🤩
Kyrie will simply destroy the Mavs. Luka will then leave the Mavs.
hell no kyrie is a disaster waiting to happen
Been a Mavs fan my entire life, 40+ years. Had season tickets for over a decade, until I moved across the country. Still a rabid fan. But I’ve never been this embarrassed and disgusted with Cuban or my favorite team. As long as he wears the uniform, I hope they lose every game.
Cuban is pro jab and has fired many employees within the organization for not being jabbed. Wondering how that will work with Kyrie
ngl i was shocked by this i thought he was going to the lakers but this is a good move lets hope he doesnt cause any drama like he did with the nets
@Targg The Wise true but i doubt it if he wants a big contract
@Giffond Hall history says he will though. We will see. Watching him flame his career by going full ahole in Dallas will be fun though.
@Targg The Wise i dont think he will because jason kidd is right coach for him
@Chase nickles bro the mavs aint one of those teams mark cuban dont play that mess
As a mavericks fan I was too last year when I heard Kyrie requested a trade I said I hope the mavericks don't sign and they did
It can work. They will match up good vs Warriors and Phoenix 7 game series they have a chance if they make it that far.
dallas will be tough to beat if kyrie's mind is in the right place
I just pray that Kyrie Irvin does not destroy or ruin Luka Cus he has so much potential!
Kyrie is the only person that keeps going from good to better to awesome to great situation Even know he disgruntled lmao
@Iambriangregory I see reality, you don't. Kyrie is likely to be toxic for Luka, assuming both are healthy and on the court.
I also don't know what you're smoking if you're trying to compare Luka with Kevin Love.
@Rich at Large Don’t worry with Kyrie’s rep he won’t be there long enough.
This is my concern as well: that Luka's career will not be able to unfold as it should, with Kyrie weighing him down.
What a great trade Dallas headed towards another championship
Not much at all, always Love for Kyrei, Peace
Kyrie is the crazy ex with good 📦. You keep giving her chances only to have the same results 😢
@Iambriangregory 💯
@Ocho Munna When you ask the right questions with a true DESIRE to Know, then you will have the Answers you seek, young grasshopper. Lolol 😂 🤣 😂.. 🤔💭🦗
I will watch Dallas games now and wish KD good luck.
@Giffond Hall Kyrie and KD are my two favorite players in the NBA which is why I was rooting for the Nets. If KD is gone, I would not watch the Nets at all.
i rather have kd
The Nets beat Washington last night without Kyrie, Durant and Simmons and still won. They still got some other talent to work with
WASHINGTON...Your basing a point on beating Washington.
Kylrie is a Top three point guard, 👉 ✋️ down, keep it Real 💯 👌, Peace.
Idk… I’m still old school with the importance of
1. Easy Buckets
2. Ball Passive Buckets
3. Taking opponents out with foul trouble
Kyrie and Luka can trade off and provide each other rest, but another HOFer floating Big for league dominance
Best backcourt in the league
This year things will be fine. Next year, not so sure
Luka about to give Kyrie a few more years on his career.
Except Lukas on a trajectory to be waaaay better than borderline/narcissist ass Kyrie, by far. Kyrie needs him more than Luka does, by far.
@Iambriangregory You are taking these comments way too personally. It's not like he hasn't earned the criticism.
Hey Einstein Luke has more to gain he has no championship no reputation of any championship note he's playing with a champion and if he does win the championship it will be because of Kyrie got it cuz he surely hasn't done it yet duh
Always Love for Kyrei, Peace ✌️.
No way KD hanging around, nets are full rebuild now. But problem is the teams that actually have another star can't afford KD, so he might end up in a bum team. Will be sad if KD ends up in Jazz or Bulls. He is my favourite player to watch and that will lose NBA a lot of views
The Bulls would be a better team the the Nets currently though.
is this better than what the lakers or clippers would offer?
Kinda feel bad for the Nets. It's like when they traded for Celtics players past their prime and it didn't work out. Only difference is they had three guys in their prime in KD, Kyrie, and Harden and it still didn't work. History repeats itself.
If he does well i’ll be shocked😂
i think the first month or so, everything is perfect and things will start to fall apart when the honeymoon is over
Let's hope kyrie can blend in, ;) tv ratings just spiked
2029 1st round is actually a good pic because kyrie will be 6 years older even if he stays there
Dallas should have tried to keep Dinwiddie. Looks like the Brooklyn Nets won this trade by a big margin. If Dallas does not win the Western conference, they got fleeced IMO. Now Dallas has to acquire a scorer to replace Dinwiddie to make the team competitive.
@Giffond Hall grizzlies??? Clippers?? Better than who??
???? Wtf you mean. Kyrie 27 ppg over Spencer’s 17. They have plenty of scoring, they need defense. Mavs won the trade easily
not really the warriors, clippers and memphis are still better
Kyrie is like a used car you know it's coming.
Two ISO ball players: Luka and Kylie for one basketball 😅
Dude was dripping with hate and kept deflecting accountability by quoting "some GMs". 😂
Several thoughts
3. The Mavericks now have to hope several things happen in the near future
a. They can resign Kyrie at the end of season
b. Josh Green and Christian Wood stay healthy and are productive
c. Kyrie behaves himself, is a good teammate, meshes well with Luka, stays healthy and continues to play at this high level.
wow - every stop Kyrie has gone has been a disaster after LeBron, and you think the Mavs are going to be any different lollll
@Richard Williams Exactly. Plus Nets gave up their young players to get Harden and that Choker left too 😄
@Vulcan Raven Funny part, he went to the Nets because of Kyrie and Kyrie bounced.
Remember Kyrie didn't want to play with Lebron anymore, so this won't last.
Somehow can't imagine Kyrie had Dallas in mind when he wanted out. That's the risk..
how? great state to live. no snow. less taxes . and you have the current best nba player with u .
Doncic and Kyrie going to get 60+ a game - good for Mavs
Steals aren't a big deal. I think harden was top ten steals a little whilst back. Luke isnt top 10 this year..not even top 30. The difference between 1 and top 30 is like 0.5 steals per game..not really difference making when you're talking 105 possessions per game. When was the last time someone got signed to a big contract because of their steals? No one cares about steals.
@- Hunt - that’s cap he get-steals cus he dnt play defense..he sags off he gets to play the passing lanes cus he don’t play no defense
nah man
@Luke Masha You don’t watch Luka play because he does play defense. That’s why he’s top 10 in steals this season. DA
probably not.
Kyrie's gonna love the freedom in TX
It's worth it cause I'm not sure luka would understand kyrie 😂.
@Robert Rex I was about to say same exact thing like you don’t have to like Kyrie I get it, but to act like he’s not extremely intelligent and successful is just hate
They are both higly intelligent people..i believe they will sync very fast..
LOL..
I want to see Durant in Portland with dame dolla
Ay I gotta say, the thought of this happening gave me chills. That would be absolutely crazy
The NETS should’ve hired Mark Jackson as Head coach from the beginning of the NETS “experiment”
True
People are laughing about this 2029 first rounder but it will be used as a trade piece, along with another first rounder, here in the next few days. Nets aren't done yet.
Depends which Kyrie you get a engaged Kyrie or uninterested Kyrie, Some nights he will makes mavs look really good other we will ask why mavs did this.
Two ball dominant guards on the same team (one of which literally can't do shit without the ball in his hands). Interesting to see how this is gunna shake out
Where will he play at all star weekend now?
Other gaurds are going to be dropping 50 a night on that duo lol
Jealously doesn't work for you
True as neither play D!!!
But they'll combine for 70.
This is the worse decision involving personnel by the Dallas Mavericks in NBA History. It won't be long before Ervin rocks the boat and is displeased displaying the baggage he carries wherever he goes. The Mavericks need big men and they gave up way to much.
The Mavas should now go for Poetl by Vucevic or Turner
Let's Go Kyrie......... Let's GO...............🦾🦾🦾
To keep saying the Mavs are currently in 6th place in the West Standings, but when you really look at it, they are only just 2 games back from being in the 3rd spot.
Luka and Kyrie combined will certainly be much better than most of those teams in the West.
they're also only 2 wins from spot 11
"Im the new Steve Nash!"
-Kyrie
They had no plans on sending him to the Lakers
@RITAS1964 nope, Lakers wanted two year deal
Your delusional. The Lakers don’t have the money to offer him what he’s gonna want. That ship has sailed
@RITAS1964 it is true, not sure where you're getting it's not true from
@Brian Badonde That is not true, not sure where you got that from; discussion with a possible trade partner contracts extensions etc not allowed. They traded him to the Mavs to be spiteful because they knew Kyrie wanted to reunite with Bron which he will this summer
The Lakers wanted him to accept a 2 year deal and he wanted a 4 year max so they didn't make the trade for him
If Kyrie won't get 200million... ya'll know he will sit out and just start with all that drama.. 🤣🤣🤣
Luka will have a headache surely.. 🤣🤣🤣
They're probably just sick of him but at some point GMs need to stop letting the athletes call the shots. Just say no and force them to play. If they are medically cleared to play and don't then they don't get paid and they get fined.
Why didn’t the nets ask for kemba ? Get him for cheap and has a lot of upside especially if he’s healthy
Been a Mavs fan since Finely Nash Dirk. (Brad)
I trust the Mavs sees something about KYRIE I don't...
I LIKE IT !!! GREAT !!!
Luka and Kyrie On the same team
My lord!
Dont we say that every time he is traded...haha "Kyrie and KD, my lord!" Haha
MJ and Pippen were better because Pippen didn’t need the ball in his hands Luke needs the ball Kyrie needs it and Kyrie will leave after not wanting to play with LukaStatPadder Doncic
Better than Mj and Scottie pippen 💯
A disaster
Cuban finally make a legit move to help Luka
I wouldn’t have made this trade if I were Dallas due to the distraction that Kyrie is
In 2K this is an awesome deal. In real life though...man...I can already see Kyrie complaining about Luka not passing the rock enough. If Kyrie accepts his role as the secondary piece the Mavs will be super dangerous. But that's a huge *if*.
Facts. To be fair Luka needs to let go and involve others more so this 'could' be a great addition....or a trainwreck
Crazy duo of luka and Kyrie!
Lethal and u know it jack
Only "ONE" basketball allowed...
I didn't see this coming!!!!
@D E If pigs start to fly bacon prices will go up
Yes, but if they win a championship in that time, it will be all worth it.
Honorable mention to Vince, Tracy, TJ Ford, Chris Kaman, Jokic, John Wall, Rose etc
and maybe Kevin Johnson, John Stockton, and Walt
Frazier
🔥🔥🔥🔥 this duo
Kyrie is a free agent this summer
