Oh King's Island, such memories. I was born in Ohio before the family moved to Georgia. We went to King's Island probably 3-4 times a year when I was young. They would freeze the huge water feature in the center right in front of the "Eiffel Tower" during winter and we would ice skate. Oh man the coasters... King Cobra, Racer, Vortex, Top Gun... But The Beast was what made me fall in love with coasters. I really need to go back and experience all it has again as it has been 20+ years since. Great vid y'all! Brought back tons of fond memories.
Would be nice if King Cobra and Vortex was still around. My Dad did vibration testing on the Vortex and Beast when I was little. He got to ride them with the trim brakes pretty much turned off.
Wow, that footage Elissa took was AMAZING! It was like I was on the ride and looking around as I rode just like I do in real life while on a coaster. Hope to see more like that in the future.
Love the unique elements for an invert, dive loop, pretzelknot loop, slow inline twist and no mid course brake run! And your dedication to the vertical loop is legendary!
This was my first inverted rollercoaster, and it has an intimidating presence when you stand right next to it. Also if you plan on going back to Kings Island in mid October do a night ride of the Beast, and I was riding the Bat the last time I was at Kings Island it was at the turnaround when Banshee was going through loop #2
I rode this four times in one trip last year!! It's my favorite!! For some reason no one was riding. I also loved the beast?! Been riding it since a kid. Wish I had known you were nearby!!
No one talks about that awesome drop that comes after the zero G roll. If you’re in the back you get whipped down that drop and it’s quite large for being in the middle of the ride.
Those clouds remind me of when I was riding the Beast at Kings Island and it stopped. We were going up the second lift hill. Thunder and lightning started to come near the park and it caused the power to go out for about 15 minutes.b
Let's take a poll. If Flying Turns at Knoebels hadn't one the 2014 Golden Ticket Award for Best New Ride, what probably would've? This or Goliath at Six Flags Great America.?
This model is called a b&m invert, so inverted coaster is correct. A suspended coaster, also known as the Arrow suspended coaster model, has carriages below the track that swing but riders legs don’t hang. Examples of the suspended model are the defunct big bad wolf at BGW, Iron Dragon at Cedar Point and The Bat at this very park.
Now, this type of banshee is an evil fairy whose moaning cries bring nothing but bad luck. - Blarney Kilakilarney, The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold (1981)
Love this ride. I do feel like it was rough on me last time we went back in June. Maybe just a bad day? BTW, come check out Travel Dorks on you tube, we are just having fun in our later years. Help us grow!!
I'm still 🙀 surprised that no one has ever gotten sick 🤢 while the cars are still moving 🎢 .well if someone ever " Did do it ..your stuff would land on the ground SO fast !!

I'm a Banshee enthusiast and was delighted with this footage! Love it!
After they took vortex away, this took the title as my favorite coaster at the park. I love having such great coasters in my hometown

Interesting camera angle for the second POV. Seen a bunch of horizon level POVs, but that brought a unique twist.
You can definitely tell that this was the first ride of the day in the pov. I assume that it speeds up throughout the day.
For sure. It was also only the two of us on the train since we were filming before the park opened.

Nice design, no mid course brakes to slow things down. 👍
YESSSSS! God I hate midcourse breaks.
This is such a great roller coaster. It is 1 of my all time favorites
I knew you and CoasterForce were still the Bolt-On Kings! That second footage, fixed attitude camera, was interesting. I can see your reactions
Every time I see an "amusement park” I never been to before. I get this "I’ve gotta try it out” feeling in me lol!

That looks like an awesome ride!
"Kick some sky!" .... twice! :D Also the slow roll into the helix seems like a sweet element. Gotta ride someday. :)
I remember this was one of my first coasters and my picture at the end was me passed out😂

What a great piece of engineering!
Every theme he says “WEEEEE!!!” It makes me giggle! Keep doing it.
That looks to Breed a lot like The Eagle at Dollywood. I can’t get enough of them either
That looks really awesome coaster
What camera do you use to film? Your quality is always the best :)
Thank you for counting the loops I was having a hard time keeping track
one of b&m’s BEST inverted coasters

"Slowly we invert. Around and around" please tell me that was a nod to the classic "niagara falls" comedy skit
When I wathc this I say to myself, "I really want to ride that, I could do it" Yet when I actually think about it, I might NEVER!
If you love this rollercoaster you should ride afterburn at carowinds in South Carolina
Love Banshee👍
It's the same thing as the RAPTOR at Cedar Point just a shorter ride does look like fun though
This is my personal favorite coaster at kings Island Orion is a close 2nd
I still have nightmares from riding this thing! 😅
Bruh how do you get nightmares from a ride 💀
Yes! And it's Cedar Point cousin Raptor, best coasters ever.
Nice long ride time.
Haven't been to KI since 2013, but how does Banshee compare to Montu?
Imagine watching this ride with the filmer shutting up. That would be so cool.
Thanks for visiting us in Cincinnati
It's a suspended rollercoaster, not inverted. That twisty loopy thing on the throwback is called a pretzel loop.
