You are truly the best builder and Dad, Jeremy, and you, Melissa, the greatest assistant-builder, videographer, homeschooler and Momma on KZclip. What perseverance and I have never seen either of you in a bad mood, or speaking harsh words. What character you have, and what a legacy you are building in your beautiful children. ❤

I agree Tania, i loved the Waltons when they were on TV..This is my Waltons family go to now..Real life..Melissa is our John Boy Walton.. The way she speaks at the end of the show you can truly tell it comes from a special place and a special heart..The way the character John-Boy Walton did at the end of every episode ..
Corny, on my part but true.. And the kids all talented in their own right..

    Dear Melissa & Jeremy,
My words are inadequate in expressing my admiration to you and family for making your journey available to the public. You as a family have made my approaching life journey’s end so enjoyable. I am 82 and fighting several types of blood cancer. Don’t feel sad for me because my faith in My Savior have assured my destination. You have so eased the journey through your videos. Your neighbors are the luckiest people in the world! Thank you from the depth of heart for the privilege of your sharing. I hug you each from afar.

Dear Leon, Here is my perspective as we prepare to meet Jesus face to face: I liken womb to earth and earth to heaven. Just as I am unable to recall how it felt in the womb, I believe it will also be so in heaven--unable to recall all the pain and suffering on earth and look forward to unlimited joy and happiness in our forever home. As a Catholic, I will be praying for you and the grace of a happy birth into eternal life!! 💖 As said by a favorite priest of mine: "Once we are born, we never cease to exist; we just can't see you! Wrapping you in Jesus' loving care! Amen, Leon!

Jeremy and Melissa I love your channel and all you do. The building of your home and how you are raising your children. Home schooling is one of the best ways in these times as some of the things they are instilling in the kids now, kind of brain washing into there way of thinking is so evil and wrong. OMG the way you put your heart and soul into giving to others gives me hope and makes me smile. God Bless all of you. I pray he continues to keep you all safe from evil.

FYI you can replace the water in your tile saw with the antifreeze used to winterize RV's for working where temps are freezing.....just rinse the tile in fresh water before it goes up and you can do that inside the house because RV antifreeze is non toxic and made to be pumped through the plumbing system of the RV.

Watched from the move through the build...but as I watch the wood, the sheet rock, nails, etc come together what I love the most is the family which us what makes the material a home. The camper, the tiny home, now the dream house...its the family that counts.

I never understood why non-smokers were dying from lung cancer. Then I became a home inspector and studied up on radon, and it started making sense. People are living in houses that may be radon traps, without having any idea. This is why I try to convince every one of my clients to get their house/prospective houses tested.

@Kevin Murphy like most testing, for relators, never found out. Now a few years ago from doing Phase I ESAs in the county I had the Dem. and Rep. party heads call me about this property that had void spaces developing and the owner would fill the holes with gravel. The problem, the property was used a few owners ago as the township landfill. The only reason I knew was the reports I got and looking at the PA DEP known sites for other projects in that area.

the most I ever tested was 149 pci. Home built in 2003 and tested in 2012. Then I tested another home 5 years ago brand new and just a little high in the basement, but the kitchen was almost 50 pci. It had a radon mitigation system in it. Why was the kitchen high, they had natural gas for the stove supply and the gas in the area had a 58-day period where a few of the half-life's would need to wait before the radon level in the gas lowered to below 6 pci's. I have done a few school districts following the EPA standards for schools, and there were a few surprises.

Your shower is beautiful! Love your tile choices. My mother passed recently and we sold her home, the buyer wanted a radon test so we split the cost with them. The results came back at 17 ,we were shocked! The buyer had the system installed to vent the radon out. My parents lived there 38 years and never thought of anything like radon could be in there home. My father died of lung cancer 2 yrs ago. I highly recommend everyone have this test done. Thankfully you are having the test done now and not years later, I pray for 4.0 or less test results. The system isn't cheap to have installed but very necessary.

We purchased this house 16 yrs ago while I was being treated for cancer so radon was a big concern. We had a radon test done and the result was 7 so we had the owners take care of of getting the radon system activated. We live in western Maryland and the radon is slightly elevated in this part of the state. Most people aren't even aware of this.

I'm so glad you are having your house tested for radon. Before we bought our current home we had written into our purchase contract that the owner pay for radon testing. It came back high, so they paid to have a radon mitigating system installed. That was 15 years ago. We monitor the system and it's been fine. They should have had their home tested years before. Their health suffered because they didn't.

Jeremy, a couple of questions. How was it using that orange backer mat? I heard it tricky, and then I noticed you did the walls first not the floor. I’m getting ready to do a shower in our bathroom so I’m looking for tips.

I did not have one doubt that Jeremy could cut out that circle. I was even more impressed when he did it on the first try! 👏👏 His perseverance in this weather is admirable. I was wondering why you didn't just remove the other spacers since they had already cured.

Is it that brand. Because many of them say reusable. Not an expert by any means. Just watched a lot of videos that they said they were reusable. Then if I Google it it says they are. So I am confused.

They aren't reusable. You snap them to remove them

It has been so fun watching you build. I feel like we are coming to the end of the Truman Show where all the different people who have been watching suddenly go back to their ordinary day... What is next? Will you be filming making the garage and your garden?

You reminded us about the standing back and recalling the projects, and the pleasure it gives when you finish a project.
And that for us is 50yrs ago, when we started our own home build. Thanks you.
