I remember him talking about the guards leaving the lights on and dressing him up in his cell. I guess I just have to watch the documentary and see all sides of the story. On occasion there'd be someone who'd been in the shit a few times and knew the system and how to get other people off. One way would be to request appearance before a more senior commander for a petty charge, and the immediate commander wouldn't proceed, knowing they'd anger a superior for wasting their time.

Idk if Theo watched the whole documentary but I’m not sure it’s safe to say Kai is good hearted or harmless. I’m sure Kai had a really rough childhood that I can’t imagine, which must have reeked havoc on his development and mental health. But if you watch the doc it basically shows that Kai dosed the man he was getting a ride from with a laced joint and then the guy started bugging out, and whatever happened after that happened. As the doc goes on there is alot or other weird stuff too.
You didn’t watch the documentary until the very end. It said the “Police toxicology tests on McBride (the driver) found no narcotics other than marijuana”. When he said that he laced the joint, it was just one of his fantastic stories-big surprise. 🙄 When it comes to documentaries, you should always watch until the end and always read the follow-up comments featured at the very end.

How would he get there? If you are locked up in a criminal jail for criminal offenses, you don't get rides to court for civil matters. Many have lost in divorce cases by default for failure to appear because they were in jail.

Sharing is not the same as "personally uploading it." Also, this isn't defaming Kai. This is a face swap technology. His face is forever on the Internet. Ever since he emerged on KZclip. Kai would essentially have to sue, the news station for sharing their story they recorded of him that ended up on the internet. Then sue KZclip, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter etc. now hundreds of thousands if not probably millions of people have, edited, and re-upload videos of him. He would literally have to sue every single person that made a video about him and shared it on social media. He is representing himself. Sure he created a document. However, how do we know that its properly filled out? Theo is going to get legal advice himself and more than likely Theo might not have to pay anything at all due to the nature of the video.

If it was just randomly made and floating around, no case, but once a notable targetable account actually uploads it, its a whole new can of worms. The real question is does it take away views therefore monetary value from the original because the scrub has licensed that video. I think Theo would be best off paying the fee if it's only a grand or so, but demanding full publishing rights to the edited video across any of his or his colleagues social accounts.
Take this to Emily D Baker (or Nick Rekieta). She will read the filing and break it down so everyone can understand what the document says. A man who gained internet fame as "Kai the Hatchet-wielding hitchhiker" was sentenced to 57 years in prison Thursday in the beating death of a New Jersey man almost six years ago. Jurors in Union County convicted 30-year-old Caleb "Kai" McGillvary last month in the May 2013 death of 73-year-old lawyer Joseph Galfy.

Idk if Theo watched the whole documentary but I’m not sure it’s safe to say Kai is good hearted or harmless. I’m sure Kai had a really rough childhood that I can’t imagine, which must have reeked havoc on his development and mental health. But if you watch the doc it basically shows that Kai dosed the man he was getting a ride from with a laced joint and then the guy started bugging out, and whatever happened after that happened. As the doc goes on there is alot or other weird stuff too.

You didn’t watch the documentary until the very end. It said the “Police toxicology tests on McBride (the driver) found no narcotics other than marijuana”. When he said that he laced the joint, it was just one of his fantastic stories-big surprise. 🙄 When it comes to documentaries, you should always watch until the end and always read the follow-up comments featured at the very end.

How would he get there? If you are locked up in a criminal jail for criminal offenses, you don't get rides to court for civil matters. Many have lost in divorce cases by default for failure to appear because they were in jail.

Sharing is not the same as "personally uploading it." Also, this isn't defaming Kai. This is a face swap technology. His face is forever on the Internet. Ever since he emerged on KZclip. Kai would essentially have to sue, the news station for sharing their story they recorded of him that ended up on the internet. Then sue KZclip, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter etc. now hundreds of thousands if not probably millions of people have, edited, and re-upload videos of him. He would literally have to sue every single person that made a video about him and shared it on social media.
He is representing himself. Sure he created a document. However, how do we know that its properly filled out? Theo is going to get legal advice himself and more than likely Theo might not have to pay anything at all due to the nature of the video.
he might have to pay the dudes rate like he said just cause they personally uploaded it. If it was just randomly made and floating around, no case, but once a notable targetable account actually uploads it, its a whole new can of worms. The real question is does it take away views therefore monetary value from the original because the scrub has licensed that video. I think Theo would be best off paying the fee if it's only a grand or so, but demanding full publishing rights to the edited video across any of his or his colleagues social accounts.
