As I’ve had to say I multiple times I’ll just put it here. The reason why some clips are so cut up is because I had to do it like that because when I didn’t the video got blocked hence the cutting up. I didn’t do it for the fun of it.
Honestly I'd have to say that the cuts back to previous skits, where it continues on, due to your editing, actually improves the comedy I feel. Like you have this skit playing out, and then it cuts away, and then it cuts BACK to the skit continuing, and it's like this days long rant about stolen sweets that's just been going on forever and it just makes it EVEN FUNNIER to me. I love it.
@Scott's Precious Little Account Although, well not you specifically but someone like you, existing one moment then not. Imagine for a moment you're wrong and Hell is here/somewhere in reality. You but not really you blink and all of a sudden you er someone else looks around confused. Well let's just call him Bob. Bob's befuddled can't remember what happened a few moments before or how he got there wherever there is. Then imagine for a moment Bob feels a tapping on his shoulder. Turning around reveals the former angelic visage of Lucifer Morningstar himself. *Smiling, well let's just refer to him as Samael Lucifer Morningstar, The Devil, Ruler of Hell who was the one being closest to God until God's creation and love for us drove a wedge between these two cosmic beings. These creatures who after forever God just decided to create and gift small things like free will and unconditional love.* Well now for a moment imagine that the Devil, Ruler of Hell got his hands on what's his name again? Um oh wait a minute I remember it's Bob. After Bob turns around confused Samael Lucifer Morningstar smacks him across the face. Then the Prince of Lies grabs Bob by the hair on top of his head, which is there even if Bob became bald later in life drags Bob's worthless soul down to... well you know. Most likely I'm full of it I know. You may not believe in the Devil but that doesn't matter if the Devil believes/hates all of us because God loves us more than he did the closest to him before we came along. I've had a few beers and I am messing around. Probably won't remember what I typed. Just thought I'd share some BS that's been rattling around in my cranium. Wanted to share a POV that maybe you've never considered. Stay safe wish you and those close to you nothing but the best.
I was filming a business event and Rylan Clarke should have been the host but couldn't make it, so RA was the replacement. He was so brilliantly dry and caustic about being the understudy to a vacuous 'celebrity' that I was in tears, but the stilted audience just didn't get it, which made it even more hilarious. Completely unique character.
Well while I personally don't know about this Mr. Doctor guy everyone's going on about maybe an outside perspective might help. *As a straight white guy who now self identifies as a gay transgender woman of color I support and stand in solidarity with this Mr. Ayode becoming a physician.* He seems a bright enough sort of guy who, if he works very hard and this whole comedy stuff doesn't work, might make a great ear, throat, and nose doctor.
It's not the 'super fans' who hate the character being called Doctor Who. It's the people who specifically watched the last ~10 seasons and literally nothing before that who make that wrong assumption.
Both the Doctor and Doctor Who works. The character was actually called 'Doctor Who' for the first few seasons, and credited as such for decades before they switched over to just 'the Doctor'. People who watched Doctor Who for a long time often use 'Doctor Who', e.g. Peter Capaldi (who played the 12th Doctor and was a big fan of classic Doctor Who) always referred to his character as 'Doctor Who' in promotional material, which self-proclaimed fans always tried to 'correct' him on.
his voice changes drastically, ive only known his super nasally in character voice but the "your mum" jokes were in a much lower register (and u dont think it was for comedic effect because hes great at delivering dry jokes in his nasally voice as well)
@evildustmite25 There's an episode of The IT Crowd in which Roy and Moss go to the theater and Roy says "I'm disabled" MULTIPLE times. I won't spoil the episode for you. Once you watch it though, you'll see why OngrMtGA's comment was funny.
the way he just keeps insisting it was his mom and was serious about it... that's priceless. He took a childish insult and turned it into a comedy goldmine.
Correct. I think a 30 min introductory Improv class would have made the world of difference. Essentially, everyone else is playing by the rules of comedy and Mel had no effing idea they exist
somehow I think the whole rant about the sweets and the bullies at school was actually real rage. i think they touched a childhood memory nerve there or something.
Brother, what could you possibly be doing. Richard Ayoade is a great spice, to be added in the mix but completely overwhelming when used as a main ingredient. I shan't recover within this day
lol Poor Richard I don't understand these shows. But he truly made the best of it. I'm a fan of Richard Ayoade he is cute. H e's also great in The Mandalorian season 1 as Zero.
Mel B saying you know you're a little bit weird is bringing back social anxiety flash backs from secondary school. Is it a standard question for every cool kid to ask someone who's neurodiverse?
i dunno, it's still worlds better than what Rob Beckett did with the chocolate shenanigans; and besides, she was like the "straight man", the one who reacts to the joker
@Sid Hackney I don't think that people can't see that it's uplifting when they look at the big picture, it's just an innate response to a negative experience that a lot of people had when they were younger. I'll say this though, if you want to see some high quality schadenfreude featuring Mel B being made to feel uncomfortable, watch her Eric Andre Show appearance.
@Nickographer Yes I am also one of those neurodivergent people who was rejected by the "cool" kids, but did you not see Mel B being the odd one out in this scenario? She tried to be rude to Richard but he dominated the situation. There's an edit of that episode of Big Fat Quiz that cuts her out entirely. I'm genuinely sorry if you're unable to see this moment as an uplifting one for the nerds of the world where a pop star tries to be condescending to a funny dork and everyone in the room sides with the dork. I highly recommend the Mel B-free edit of that Big Fat Quiz as well either way, since she's annoying the whole way through.
truth is he's just being himself. and everyone laughs. makes someone a funny guy lol. and yeh don't touch richard ayoade. he's expressed this many many times haha
Someone help me out here, who were those woman and what was that clip from where they just kept saying 'I got it.' I felt like my brain was dying watching that.
While Richard is undoubtedly funny...this compilation just shows how British 'comedy' has become just the same old clique recycled for every show. All the same faces with similar humour, outlook and style...nothing original. It's a shame

Worked for me lol
It adds to the energy tbh. The long endless "i have it" argument being split up over the whole video is PEAK
FUCK YOU JEWLUBE
Because you have to actually have a sense of humour to understand it.
It's better this way.
"you dont know anything because you were born 20 minutes ago, your hair is still wet from the fucking woumb"
This is modern poetry, im in tears 😂
"Don't patronise us, we're in hell" I'm not going to be able to prevent myself using that in some of my upcoming teams meetings
@Scott's Precious Little Account Although, well not you specifically but someone like you, existing one moment then not. Imagine for a moment you're wrong and Hell is here/somewhere in reality. @Scott's Precious Little Account a reasonable point. I do like well natured joshing, and it adds to any pub situation
Yes, but hell for who? If you quite enjoy it then you’re not in your hell, are you? Hell is made up anyway whatever lol
I have no idea what's going on in any of these clips and yet I am still able to perceive Richard Ayoade's blatant epicness.
My favourite Ayoade-Fielding moment has to be 0:38. Such a simple joke, yet, despite Ayoade's tendency towards stoic, dry humour, it breaks him.
Who is Rylan Clarke?
He'd make a great doctor who 😂
Edit : He'd make a great Doctor as super fans hate him being referred to Doctor Who
Well while I personally don't know about this Mr.

@Speedy1116 yes. If you know you know, if you don't you don't. They can always, y'know, specify the doctor _from_ doctor who?
@Michaela Trefoil thanks for notifying me, I'll fix this error right away
Richard and Jimmy need to do more stuff together 🤣
They look like they need couple-therapy.
It's hard not to think of him as Moss from the IT Crowd. He has super quick wit and is pretty damn intelligent.
his voice changes drastically, ive only known his super nasally in character voice but the "your mum" jokes were in a much lower register (and u dont think it was for comedic effect because hes great at delivering dry jokes in his nasally voice as well)
Richard was such a good counter to Mel B's negative energy on that quiz.
5:48 - Still makes my cry with laughter. It's Roy and Moss in real life!
@evildustmite25 There's an episode of The IT Crowd in which Roy and Moss go to the theater and Roy says "I'm disabled" MULTIPLE times. I won't spoil the episode for you. Once you watch it though, you'll see why OngrMtGA's comment was funny.
@Ongr MtGA what kind of disabled?
Roy at least has a good excuse for dropping that globe. He's disabled.
Oh my. Any time I see something with this man, I like him even more. He makes my day better.
Everything Richard says and does he means it more than 80%
When I saw the piece at 4:35 in the original Big Fat Quiz, I nearly died of a life-changing fit of laughter!
Ikr, it was so great!
the way he just keeps insisting it was his mom and was serious about it... that's priceless. He took a childish insult and turned it into a comedy goldmine.
Just a natural super-talent, incredibly funny guy.
I LOVE his humor!!! Truly funny people don't have to fall back on trying to be shocking or 'jokes' related to sex.
He did a lot of sex jokes earlier on though! But I agree he doesn't need to
Does Mel B not quite understand how a comedy show works?!
Correct. I think a 30 min introductory Improv class would have made the world of difference.
Essentially, everyone else is playing by the rules of comedy and Mel had no effing idea they exist
@ItnRa Nah, she was not playing the straight (wo)man, look at her eyes. She was trying to be superior and got totally owned! 😆
Making a note to myself to use the "Delightful news for someone who cares" line
He’s a lot funnier than I thought..well done.
@Lester Green I, too, am just inserting my disagreement here.
@Lester Green I’m just inserting my disagreement here.
@Lester Green So true!
@Tiberius I think the only interview with him I ever really saw was with Craig Ferguson, and they did not talk about that.
It might have been a lot of work @FandomCentral, but your editing is brilliant - best comp. I've seen in some time! Thanks and congratuwelldone!
I always lose it at 9:35. The delivery is so good!
This man is funny as hell. You Brits have a treasure here. Cheers. 😂✌🏽
bring this man to taskmaster please!!!!!
somehow I think the whole rant about the sweets and the bullies at school was actually real rage. i think they touched a childhood memory nerve there or something.
Richard is nothing but epic
When he said "What else is there?"
I felt that.
I love people embracing their weirdness
I know Richard cuz he voiced Templeton, my fave character on Strange Hill High on CBBC. brings me such joy :)
Have you watched The IT Crowd? He’s hilarious in that.
Maurice Moss pretending to be Richard Ayoade for 12 minutes
"you look like thomas the tank engine's psychopathic brother" LOL
He's totally THE most gorgeous man around
RICHARD YOU ARE A CLASSIC 😜
"Richard, this is the tea talkin'" 😂😂😂
That globe museum was like an episode from the IT crowd. XD
Met this guy today, so lovely
I have never related to a man more in my life
That one guy is the perpetual host of every British celebrity quiz or game show.
Jimmy? He hosts The Big Fat Quiz, 8 out of 10 cats and The Fix. There's definitely more than 3 British celebrity quiz and game shows.
Disappointed to see that Richard and Greg Davies's Big Fat Quiz antics with Bad Dong are not on here....that was legendary
3:26 “I am relax-DON’TTOUCHME”
I love his weirdness! 😁
4:01 me at midnight while I’m trying to sleep
aw sean. what a comedy legend
This dude is my chaos goblin god.
Goblins don’t have high intelligence and play dumb for laughs. They actively get stuff wrong on BFQ all the time.
Brother, what could you possibly be doing. Richard Ayoade is a great spice, to be added in the mix but completely overwhelming when used as a main ingredient. I shan't recover within this day
There's only one Richard Ayoade.
I really just love him
The psychopathic brother of Thomas the Train Engine.. omfg 😂🤣😂🤣
Dead on.. Can’t unsee it.. 😂
What a delightful man.
lol Poor Richard I don't understand these shows. But he truly made the best of it. I'm a fan of Richard Ayoade he is cute. H
e's also great in The Mandalorian season 1 as Zero.
The moment Richard was telling jimmy he didn't like this moment was real.. clearly jimmy had bad breath!
Mel B saying you know you're a little bit weird is bringing back social anxiety flash backs from secondary school. Is it a standard question for every cool kid to ask someone who's neurodiverse?
That. And when people try to push on getting overly close or touching someone who has repeatedly made it clear not to touch or get close to them.
@CorvusCorone68 If by "react" you mean scowl and tell people to stop having fun
i dunno, it's still worlds better than what Rob Beckett did with the chocolate shenanigans; and besides, she was like the "straight man", the one who reacts to the joker

Is there a better advert for diversity than a half-Black, half Scandinavian comedian being the absolute most British person in history?
just looking at Noel .. my day is better
Mel b trying to 1 up ayoade is such a bad mismatch and she didn’t realise it at all.
"Taking CS is a great step towards your future. I admire your tenacity."
"Don't patronize me, I'm in hell."
I don't know why but this scene was everything: 11:05
"Hate eating" a banana to get inside someone mind...
interesting to know that this is the same dude who played the Professor Marmalade from the bad guys as well as the onion for apple and onion
"Don't touch me" 😂😂😂😂
If you get really confused by someone eating a banana you are not really that sharp to begin with, are you?
I'm beginning to think he would not be a good host for Deal or No deal. He'd be like 'Just open the box please'
the iconic bully meltdown 💯💯
0:25 has anyone ever won a crystal yet? like "ok time to make a cup of tea AND GO"
This is how I think more people should view autism. Understand the boundaries but keep laughs going!
how does he keep a straight face
Mel B is so square
Thick as cheddar
Rob seems to br wearing the same jacket on Countdown as he did on Big Fat Quiz, just in a different colour.
I’ve only seen him in the show IT... He was Great. Anything Suggestions for more ????
He Cracks me up....
Nathan Barley and Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place are brilliant.
@cartouche yes, he voiced Q9-0
@Sickest-NoSCOPEZandWEED-420 Thanks, just finished 1st episode on YT ,,,love the other guy to that was on IT to,just hilarious
The fact that nobody has mentioned Garth Marenghi's Dark Place (which he also co-wrote) is insane. The IT crowd is like Hollyoaks compared to it.
Isn't he also a robot in the mandalorean ?
Haha. Jo B"You look like Thomas the tank engine's psychopathic brother." I can see it.
truth is he's just being himself. and everyone laughs. makes someone a funny guy lol.
and yeh don't touch richard ayoade. he's expressed this many many times haha
@nxxy nx can you show me him saying this please? i've gauged him being himself that's all
No he's pretty well known to be a character played by the dude
She was crying over by the lawn furniture, sir
Why isn't Richard Dr who yet?
Not gonna lie, didn't laugh once.. The fact that this man is in the same room as Micky Flanagan and Jimmy Carr is a crime.
Add Jonathan Ross to that
@Elioπ sure thing.. especially important when you try to build a big show targeting a wide audience
@Ploppy McPlop amusing
@Ploppy McPlop Sorry, I don't accept new Daddies before the first date :*
Personally, I now find Ayoade's "I don't care, I don't want to do this" shtick rather tiresome.
Aight
Because of this video or before you watched it?
why did he never tell Jimmy he looks like Roger Federer in this?
I lost it at "Your Mum"
Chaotic Neutral personified
Thank you. Very funny comp.
There are only 12 comedians that appear on panel shows and about 50 panle shows. How is this possible?
It was delightful. And I care.
Mel B the freak, freaked out by Richard. That is a new one!
Foofa: worst of all, you fricked it all up.
Was this just put on everyone’s recommended then?
Fr. Never heard of this Richard dude ever. I don't follow english tv nor live there lol.
Be honest with me, is it sad that I left my sugar daddy for a Richard Ayoade?
Scary spice did not watch the program before being a guest
Wtf are the clips of Richard with the black women astronauts from?
@BF BLETHERING what was "IT" ?
@Spameron75 she didn't have it, apparently
It is crystal maze, the most modern iteration
It's from a show I think is called Crystal Maze? I'm not 100% sure though.
Does Mel B have trouble with social cues? She seems to have trouble understanding other people and humor in general. It's a genuine question.
Someone help me out here, who were those woman and what was that clip from where they just kept saying 'I got it.' I felt like my brain was dying watching that.
Crystal maze
What is this called and Where can I watch this????
@Casually Thank you!🥰
I think his preferred pronouns are he/him
4:38 good gob 🎉
ROFLMAO
Is it just me or is Mel B not funny at all?
There is a version of the quiz with Mel b edited out.
Mel B. Unaware of the program she signed up for.
While Richard is undoubtedly funny...this compilation just shows how British 'comedy' has become just the same old clique recycled for every show. All the same faces with similar humour, outlook and style...nothing original. It's a shame
@8:41. 🎶 If you wanna be my lover. 🎶
Cool.
"Your mum" will always be a classic
It’s just misogyny
@Sk4venger who set a new world record by spending 71 days crying in the B+Q
