We share tours of Relevant Buildings' innovative small & tiny container home models, all building code compliant. Each is made with one or more high-cube shipping containers. Innovative bump-outs, in many of these, create added width inside for a more open, functional space. Owner, Carl also shares a fascinating walk-through of the container conversion process. Hi How do I get your information to schedule a tour or talk about how much it would cost for a Container House For me? I would greatly appreciate any feedback
Absolutely brilliant builds, and hopefully these recycled & repurposed containers will eventually become obtainable & affordable housing for low income family's all over the United States.
Love it. I like how you're working with the government to help bring affordable housing to many that need it. I want to do something like this for my community in Florida.
Thank you, this is one of the most helpful Shipping Container building videos I've found. I love the way you film and present your content, allowing the owner/builder to tell their own story. Very high value time investment for me. Well worth subscribing.
LOVE THIS!! Not only reusing an existing object as housing, but working towards the goal of more affordable housing. The innovation is so cool, and I love the design choices. I think shipping container villages for homeless people could also be a good way for cities and communities to work to help people in need get a new start in life. No doubt this particular container home builder will do very well financially in the future.
yes love your way of thinking!! This is one of my long term goals to help the community, homeless and women w children w no spisal support. what better way than everyone working and giving back to the community.
Hands down one of the best container homes I've seen on Utube. The detail and craftsmanship that goes into the building of these homes could be the future. I think most humans do not need the typical 3000 square foot homes. Less is more to me. Use only what you need. Thank you for the hard work you guys are doing. 👌👏🏆
I was lucky enough to tour Relevant Building's homes in Oct 2020. AMAZING quality, finish, and design. I've wanted a container home years and as soon as I can, I want to order one of theirs. Love them!!! They offer tours regularly so if you ever have the opportunity to check them out in person, I highly recommend it.
Love that you can put theses anywhere! A Shipping Container Luxury Condos site 4-5 stories and about 1 city block long, just built and sold in Nashville Tn. I heard the owner paid around 1.5 million for property, shipping containers, construction and turn key of 25 units and just sold them all for 68 Million! Absolutely Beautiful! Right nest to the Civic Center down town. I think I have pictures of the shipping containers just before they were finished erecting the last few containers. I can’t wait to see one.
I live in the Northeast US where many towns require residential homes to be minimum 1000 sf. I saw a container design I want: a horse shoe configuration - the long sides would be 40ft extra-height containers the shared side a 20ft extra height container- an atrium would span the 40 ft containers - it seems this Builder is more than able to construct this home design.
I've been linked to this company so many times when I do house searching, I've been looking to move to Oregon very soon but every cool thing I see about shipping container homes is always "coming soon, coming next year, in the process of" I know it takes a lot of work yeah but, I'm ready to just move into one of these prefabs right NOW. I like their idea to do condos though.
I'm going to share this with my grandson! He's attending a Welding school, and I like to show him the opportunities he has when he finishes school. Thanks for this segment!
They are nice and really made to look similar to a normal home with the bump-outs and all. But its always the price thats the killer. The only homes I've seen that have been competitive price-wise is the barn frame built homes.
@Loturzel Restaurant You did well, they are gone. I had to comment to ask where you saw these two options? If you use the three dots on the right, it goes automatically to YT, and if you go to the offender's profile page and report on 'about', it also goes to YT. For really bad ones (porn, bitcoin, spam), I do both, but have never seen the two options you mention. 🙂
Great video full of detailed information, containers are greatly underused as homes and we should use more of them, why not a container park full of homes it has many options, rental, buy, part ownership (good for the first time buyers as they can buy say a 50% share and when they move on sell it on or back to the owner). I worked in logistics for 40 years shipping containers round the world and they have more use than shipping, keep thinking outside the envelope and by using some off the shelf furniture from places like IKEA it keeps costs down...
Hi, Curious: doesn't caulk have a pretty short lifespan and need to be reapplied every certain amount of years to be effective? How does that work w/ the container homes? Thanks
Lovely design and seems to be a company who knows their stuff. Really wish you were in Colorado, we need good housing opportunities at a decent price. I'm interested in purchasing.
Really nice homes. My questions are 1) How do you lock the sliding barn door for privacy, and 2) Are the kitchen sinks as small as they appear? Without a dishwasher, I would want a larger, 2-compartment sink.
I'm guessing that they don't deliver out of state... These units are so lovely, and this is exactly what we are looking for:-) We purchased a piece of land in central Wisconsin, in hopes to build a tiny home, but code requires a home to be a minimum of 960 sq. feet. We received some ballpark #'s for building, and it's pretty steep. Oh well... sighhh!
WOW, JUST WOW! This guy could become the Toll Brothers or KB homes of the Container industry. One more feature is they are "almost" fire proof!! If this guy can work with state n federal government he could really help with affordable and homeless housing. If the 75k model was stripped down to basics i bet he could provide them to municipality for under 50k each.. If this company gets any traction, watch out. They are VERY impressive. I've been following Container homes for years and I actually had to give up on a parcel I wanted because I didn't know who could do the job. Here they are. Wish I'd known.
There is a house in Dallas TX made of several containers. It’s 3 layers high but the middle layer goes in the opposite direction as the upper and lower levels. It is very nice.
One question I didn’t hear addressed: what is involved in maintaining these container homes? E.g., Access to utilities for repairs or just replace? Special paint needed, how often?
Are you ever coming to Canada? Housing prices in here are insane,no to mention that we still use lumber like there's no other construction materials in the world. Amazing and beautiful designs. Keep the good work amigos. Greetings from Toronto.
Now I don't know why these shipping containers haven't been used for housing years ago. These make great homes. These shouldn't just be for low income homeowners or renters. These should be sold cheap to any end who wants one. These homes should be given to our homeless vets and those who qualify for a free home. Some people just can't have good credit due to forces outside their control. I meal hell states dint have a problem putting and teaching our children in these buildings. States don't seem to have a problem, with these containers being used as offices either. States, towns etc just want to make want to make money off of people. L I is of land in many places with abandoned buildings on the, can be knocked down and cleaned up and little communities could be made with these container homes. So much can be done to make all walks of life a home to feel and be safe in. Wish I had money to do this. I wouldn't mind having one to call my own.
I saw your home in the video and it was in wheels. I live in Florida where there is lots of rain but not the same anti-cold problem which may allow for an "up in the air" container home. Do you think that LOTS of large gravel for drainage underneath and lifting the container and having it rest on the wheels is a possible alternative to excavation and pouring a concrete foundation?
hermoso proyectos amo este señor ha sido mi inspiración después del arquitecto Luis de Garrido que me levanto el animo por lo sustentabilidad no entiendo ni pio lo que hable pero para mi es genio gracias eres mi mentor gracias por la enseñanza
Nicely done. Tiny homes were never meant to cost two hundred thousand dollars. It’s not exactly cost effective! When builders get involved the cost always goes to the extreme! Greed. Always goes into the contractors pockets and the buyer doesn’t even get a kiss first!
How long does something like this last? I've heard that in my area S>FL. that the high heat meeting the AC with metal in between can cause mold/rust problems that quickens detrioration. What's the resale value? Do they lose or gain value? It seems to cost more per sq.ft than a stick house. I'm looking to relocate and between pre fab,or newly built container home , newly built stick or existing stick it appears in our current climate that existing homes are cheapest and for ROI the best investment, what do you think?

Loved the tour of these incredible homes. I would have liked to see the budget friendly model. Thanks for bringing this to us x
Have you looked at the price list for these, including shipping? These are NOT budget homes.

I absolutely love these. Affordable, spacious and no conveniences are spared. Perfect tiny/small homes!
I really like the build quality of these containers homes. Would like to see this product in the Midwest to take on the weather conditions here.
Beautiful container homes you are building.
Much better then your standard built homes. Looks like less maintenance upkeep too.
These are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I would love to have one of these homes!

This was amazing, beautiful homes, nice to learn how they are built and the thought process that goes into the design.
This was very interesting. The interiors look high end, and what an amazing way reuse shipping containers.

A nice range of homes, I likes the number of times 'engineering' was mentioned as everything tooks very well thought through and designed to last.
This was fascinating! Beautiful design work. Love it!
Yes, this was really very good.
Absolutely superb! High quality build and finish.

I loved their take on container homes!
So very cool! Innovative, affordable, fire proof, energy efficient, and lovely!! Yes, please!!

Wonderful idea. You are most welcome!
Brilliant! Thank you for providing such great details! I love your layouts. Will be sure to keep you in mind for my future home.

The best shipping container homes I've seen, at a good cost. Lots of planning and attention to detail that really make these homes exceptional.
@chez moi Chez Moi!
I just remembered you, so i start talking to you again.
Random, but who cares.

@Big D my need you give me home continar
I especially liked the largest model! It felt like a traditional home!
This house is amazing inside. I love the sit up and decor colors.

The Best ones I've ever seen😻 The Engineers are super skilled! Omg this makes me want to move into these tiny container house. I'm in love❤
*Крутые работы 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻*
Really like your ethics, attitude and engineering
I absolutely love these shipping container homes. I would live in one of these. I don't think we have any shipping container living here in New York.

Marvellous idea as well the shipping containers will stand strong and won't blow away when hurricanes and storms come so that's amazing
Beautiful 🏡. Love a company the doesn't scrimp on quality. Obviously though, the shipping containers are not a cost saver.
I love it. Can’t wait to get mines 2 floor design. Your guys are the best.
I'm guessing that they don't deliver out of state... @Tiny House Expedition How about Texas?
They do deliver outside of the state but not sure about WI. Check their website-link in description 😊👍
Finally i find a company thats knows all the realties of making a real and legal container home in most states.
its cool how he's up front about the pricing
Beautiful homes and they’re not a bad size
I love these homes! Still waiting for code to catch up with these amazing homes
Simple, innovative, affordable = beautiful
This one is really great. I would want a little bigger but the layout is perfect n
Check this 650 sqft model they offer: kzclip.org/video/i6A8xOrlGUY/бейне.html 😊
I'm impressed with the design, engineering and workmanship. I'd like to contact the company.
@R2D2 Thank you!
He mentioned Portland Oregon quite a bit so that might be a good start to google the company name and address.
Thanks so much for this... 7 feet wide is a no go, but a bump out makes this idea perfect for me.
WOW, JUST WOW!
This guy could become the Toll Brothers or KB homes of the Container industry.

I was really impressed. I never knew a house can be built with a shipping container. Please send me the website so I can see your models. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback 👍
Amazing work!
I love shipping container home. They are safe. If a strong wind comes they will not blow over if they are on a good foundation.
It's beautiful, I wish I could have one.

Pretty reasonable for the quality.
Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful houses!!
Great video and really informative!
Absolutely amazing 💖
Will you build, ship and do final install anywhere in the USA? As long the owner has the land and ready foundation?
I really want to have one here in Japan because we are only renting a house for more than 10 years now
Wow ! Stunning designs, great reuse and repurposing. Very livable space. How would they hold up in extreme cold and hot seasons ? Thanks
Once again, a delight to watch and marvel over.
Well done, mass manufacturing it please ⚡⚡⚡
I really like the bump out, it looks great.
I love this concept
Appreciate the details!! Awesome!
So cool loved this story. Great business.
