how can you go from getting ragdolled to having so much confidence for a well-placed kick? Holy delusion, and unsportsmanlike, cant even acknowledge his opponent after he destroyed him for 95% of the fight? Yeah... I'm a fan of humble good men, not thugs doing gun shooting emotes at a camera after pretty much losing the fight
Gotta respect Teixeira he lost his title this year but supported Alex threw the whole fight and cheered for him the most. Love to see the support from the team
The way Leon set up that head kick was masterful. Switches stance, feints a kick a couple of times to gauge Usman's reaction mixed in with a couple of jabs and a low kick. See's Usman isn't concerned about a high kick and WHAM lights out. That has to be a blueprint for a head kick.
@BLUE SAVAGE they can not accept it, early stoppage is infinitely better then late stoppage for fighter and in this case stoppage did not happened second early.
So what ? Glover is fighting for the belt again soon but I can’t say the same for jiri he had an injury so bad that he will be lucky if he ever fights again
@foreverseethe wtf are you talking about dude? Too nice???? In a fight... 🤨 Glover was so tired he was about to collapse. That fight was an absolute war from start to finish. And key word was finish. Jiri made glover tap with no hooks. Was that just glover being nice?
The pace and number of close finishes for both in a light heavyweight title fight might never be replicated. The heavy shots and momentum swings across five rounds was unbelievable. And while both were tired neither were gassed.
Pererira winning the title is still the most unbelievable championship win this year and this was the year that 40 yr old Glover almost beat Jiri and Leon Edwards fell into a title fight after such a long time.
Before he made the mistake of grabbing Jiri and going down on his back. that straight right hand was beautiful and very impressive for a man fighting at 41 years old. Glover was throwing bombs
The Glover vs Jiri fight was phenomenal. 100% agree with what Joe Rogan said, these 2 guys dragged each other to hell. It's the MMA equivalent of Ali v Frazier's Thrilla in Manila. Izzy vs Poatan is just as crazy, the composure of Alex is just out of this world
@hbeezey the commentary helped make it special. As they said we were writing his obituary, then Leon Rose from the ashes to molly whop the fuck out of him.
Alex is the definition of a hater, lol. At 12:32 Izzy tried to calm down the fans and Alex responds at 12:34 immediately trying to hype up the audience. It's really funny plus the 3-0 after he beat Izzy was priceless 🤣🤣🤣
@CM he was dodging if you look closely some of the refs call the fight at stupid moments it's cool he got the win but izzy was not done fighting that's why he was confused about the ref calling the fight but izzy took his L like a man💯(fuck punctuation )
The Prochazka/Teixeira fight was absolutely magnificent. Back and forth for 25 minutes. A true work of art. Adesanya also fought beautifully against Pereira but Poatan is something different. Leon landed the best strike of the year. MMA is amazing.
Prochazka/Teixeira was a great fight :). Poatan is Adesanya's boogey man! Leon proved all the haters wrong. He practiced that kick and timed it well. Good on everyone, I'm sure 2023 will be fantasstic.
I love the first fight for one reason alone. The complete respect they show to each other. That’s what I was taught when training in martial arts and I feel like it has been lost a bit in mma. There are some that still truly respect the art but there are a lot more that don’t.
@jack greenway if usman sucks leon is dog water because he got dominated on the ground and out struck to somebody whos stand up aint that good like you just mentioned in this 3rd fight he will get mauled so that little head kick set up wont matter.
@Guillee The first fight is arguable. One thing that many don't take into account is kickboxing scoring is different than MMA scoring. Izzy did outland him, but Pereira was always on the aggression, putting pressure and just being a ring general. And since he didn't take that much visible damage, there was less of a chance for Izzy to win the decision, but it was not impossible. The point stands, Pereira won. In the second fight, Izzy was definitely winning, doesn't matter when you get sent to the Shadow Realm. And in the third, same thing. You can be winning four rounds, and if Pereira knocks you out, that's it.
I felt so bad for glover, the road that man took to the title, how good he was in that fight just to end up getting submitted in the final round of what would've probably been a decision win. Such a likable dude.
@Zane Rodriguez i picked jones and leon in their last fights but neither by the way it happened😂i figured jones 3rd or 4th round sub and leon 2nd or 3rd round ko. crazy stuff man leon schooled usman and jones took out gane like nothing
@j.p. Unfortunately it's pretty common for fighters to learn a new skill they really enjoy and use it in a fight rather than relying on what got them to the dance in the first place. Gane loves his heel hooks. Poirier loves his guillotine. Usman fell in love with boxing after training with Trevor Whitman. It happens
@TrueTacticia they we're against the cage not doing much of anything but pretty close. still though, he controlled most of the fight with wrestling, you'd think he'd just try to get him back against the cage and maybe get him down. he's got power but he's not a great technical striker, or at least not as good as leon but he was just standing in front of him
Leons corner moment still gives me chills every time I see it, the emotion his coach is screaming in his face with, his hands shaking, he knew he had to lit the fire inside his fighter and he couldnt have done it any better
Seeing his coach’s hands shaking that much while he’s giving Leon water just proved how much he wanted it for him. he had just as much invested as Leon did. So cool.
great work form Leon`s corner, I am brazilian and I can say the same about Glover cornering Poatan going into the 5th, letting him know that only the KO would do it.
I wanted Periera to win, honestly, and was happy when he did but rewatching I do think Izzi deserved some extra seconds. Am glad he didn’t suffer permanent head damages and if the ref’s stoppage prevented that am also glad he gets a rematch.
That Leon headkick...he was an underdog title challenger who was losing the majority of his fight to the dominant champ and then he comes back at the last minute of the last round and lands a perfect headkick that knocked out Kamaru Usman. So inspiring and to see him after the fight face timing his mom and son and crying was such a tear jerker. It's moments like this is why I love this sport.
Edwards' defense is so good, I just can't understand why he doesn't throw back after Kamaru finishes his flurry of attacks, or as Edwards, regains the centre. Just happens over and over: 6:30 he can throw back here and give Kamaru something to worry about.
It’s one thing that we even had three fifth round title finishes, but even wilder that in all three instances, the winning fighter was down going into the fifth and was the challenger. Add to that the fact that at least in the case of Izzy and Usman they didn’t need to win the last round and they would retain and were some of the top P4P, and this year has had some of the most insane title changes the promotion has ever seen in one year. There’s been some unfortunate ends in main events this year but also some incredible ones.
@Sinatra OCE we can see you know nothing about fight. He did not get smoked all fight. See izzy talking about how Alex leg kicking messed him up since round 1
@Sinatra OCE bro what? I can't even deal with this comment lol. Made him look like a rookie? I wish I was snorting whatever you do before watching fights.
I was amazed by this fight. Seemed the challenger was poised to handle Usman's worst the entire fight. Like he was on a completely different level and it all started with the initial takedown and full mount. The smack he gave Usman as he got up. Edwards has completely disrupted that weight division. Adesania was taken out by an assassin who just hunted him down the entire fight.
Lo máximo Poatan, salió en el quinto round a finalizarlo y adenasaya sintió hasta miedo el árbitro hizo bien en parar ya estaba con los brazos caídos no hay duda que poatan fue muy superior y demostró ser el mejor
nothing can top edward’s combination and speech. emotional. I’d like the ref to give Adensanya 10 sec more to recompose himself. although the chance was tiny, we’re are talking about a great champion in the final championship round…
Connors recent tweet summed up Leon's win perfectly tbh. It was the EVERYTHING of the year. The timing of the commentary, the dominance of the champion, the record for undefeated streak on the line, the corner advice at the end of r4, the literal last minute head kick ko of a fight that he was about to lose, the post fight interview, the backstage footage of him on a call to his mum........Holy shit. It just doesn't get better.
@Alyph A Leon did the Conor swag walk right after he KO'd him as well 😂 Anyways, Conor brings more attention to it as well. Stop being a salty hater, lmao just enjoy the damn sport mate.
Looking back 2022 was a crazy year of title fights. So many titles changed hands. Weili (2), Pereira, Edwards, Prochazka, Moreno, Makhachev, Nunez (2). Crazy.
Dude everytime Izzy has fought this dude, he comes so close to a finish in some way. His patience is one of his best traits, but also one of his biggest downfalls lmao
Seeing glover dominate like that and lose like that after the path he had to get to the belt was sad af. and that rocky "pound for pound, headshot, dead" 🥶🥶🥶 one of the coldest lines in history
@Cottonheaded Ninnymuggins gsp beating bisping was a better moment Robby lawler spitting the blood then breaking Rory was better even Brandon Moreno’s speech was way better than Leon’s
8:53 "But that is not the cloth from which he is cut..." from Jon Anik, seconds before Leon throws that head kick. One of the most legendary commentary moments of all time.
The Izzy stoppage MIGHT have been a LITTLE early. But it really played out in Izzy's favor. Had the ref allowed the fight to go on Izzy MAYBE would have recovered.. But I think there was a bigger chance of Alex Pereira landing 2-3 clean shots and possibly knocking Izzy out cold.. Then Izzy wouldn't be getting an immediate rematch. The ref really did save him from his worst nightmare.
@Nights Timo is Usman likely to fall for the same type of thing and will Leon beat him in a rematch if he doesn’t GREATLY improve his wrestling? No, but saying it was all luck (which makes YOU the casual fanboy) diminishes the hard work, both mentally and physically, done by someone you couldn’t hold a candle to.
@Nights Timo the whole reason any competitive activity that is judged has scoring and especially a time limit is that the competitors are tasked with figuring out how to strategically be in the lead by the time points or time have expired, or by flat out elimination like a KO, and the whole reason a match isn’t just automatically considered concluded if one party is seemingly dominating the other (aside from things like run rule in little league) is because a PART of said strategy may very well include things like being strong-willed, weathering the storm of a flurry from an opponent, lulling them to sleep (so to speak) and drawing them into a trap, like having them think they’ve worn you out too much and having them believe they can coast to the end, then feinting to get a desired reaction out of them so you can pounce. That is precisely what Leon did. YOU cope
Leon’s sequence of the comeback, head kick, the speech, the quote, the back stage call with his mom, the emotion I felt for leon was insane not knowing him at all personally but it’s obvious how hard he’s worked to get there. My fav story in the ufc.
@Yaboiaustin He was on a 7th win streak against low rank or no rank opponents. But it is what it is, he will lose next time to Marty. He won by a fluke :)
@vIPR wasn’t he on a 7 fight win streak? I’d be pissed off too tbh if I don’t get my chance b4 fucking Jorge, Colby or Burns. But aye the time is now babyyy
@Joe Schmoe deserved tho. He didnt fight once in 2 years because he felt entitled to a title fight. He acted all high and mighty and like a spoiled kid. He also ducked a lot of fights so its not strange. But overall, that comeback was great and speech was good too
Leon felt in his heart he couldn’t beat Usman. I like Usman a lot but good stuff for Leon. Definitely going to give him a ton of confidence in the next fight.
Sometimes Anik is a god tier commentator. Pushing back on dc and joe in that moment with such an earnest view of edwards. Almost like it inspired him to throw that kick. Beautiful. Keep that guy on the mic forever.
@Lyvnair "That is a dejected..." While the timing was magnificent from the "Not cut from that cloth" statement, it's pretty clear he was intending on agreeing with Joe and Daniel but got cut off lol I just ignore it though
The bias shown by Rogan and in particular DC and Bisbing at times towards champions in particular is sickening. They have a constant hard on for him. So watching him get finished along with Usman was so satisfying. Anik is a real G!!!
Yeah hes a good commentator, but you are wrong, he had nothing to do with the kick. Unlike pretty much everyone else Leon never once counted himself out, he was always looking for that.
Leon’s coach was shaking as he gave him that sip of water between round 4/5. He wanted Leon to persevere so badly. You could tell he was shaken and wanted his guy to fight til the end. Leon came through. BOOM HEADSHOT. POUND FOR POUND WHAT
A compilation of all of my heart breaks this year god i took so many Ls and these are only the title fights that went to the 5th round too good lord this year was rough but entertaining as hell
Glover Texeira...What an absolute legend, and all time class act. To see him brutalize Jiri for most of that fight (and I'm a Jiri fan), only to lose in the last minute. And then to see him as the first person in the cage to lift and congratulate Pereira on his last round title win, just amazing. So glad he's gonna be able to fight for the "vacant" 205 belt in Brazil. Crazy, and unfortunate Ank and Jan fought to a draw, but he deserves this next chance for real....
leons going to get the floor wiped with his ass in the rematch, don't know why he took the rematch, he should have fought a couple of other guys first, they made him wait for years for a title shot, he should make them wait now too. make usman work, take some damage, send kumaru to fight khamzat etc. he made a big mistake accepting an immediate rematch.
You can tell watching Edwards Usman 2 that Edwards was not trying to spend unnecessary energy early in that fight. Watching the way he paced himself and played defense you could tell that his goal was to drag Usman into deep water. Even when his coaches gotten his face he kind of ignored them and didn't say anything because in his mind he was like "man, you don't even know what the f*** I'm doing right now.. do you coach??" Lol
i seriously loved the amount of sportmanship between jiri and glover. usually we just get a quick glove touch at the end but what they did was truly a sign of real admiration and respect
Fight of the Year and KO of the Year both ended up in the 5th round of a title fight. Oh, and Pereira capping off an historic year in the UFC with a TKO of the Style bender himself. Incredible!!💯
A wonderful year for mma fans. From upsets to just awesome fights, 2022 was amazing for MMA.
the world goes down but good we have "Panem et circenses" 👍🤣👎
@Eric he said 2022
Still didn’t get Jones vs Francis
I still can’t believe Leon jiri and Alex won in round 5 crazy
@Ankit R that was crazy
Leon's head kick was so unbelievably legendary. One of the greatest moments in UFC history
@yauker delusion 🤣🤣🤣 he whooped him with that head kick and ragdolled him in the 3rd fight, now stop ur crying
how can you go from getting ragdolled to having so much confidence for a well-placed kick?
Holy delusion, and unsportsmanlike, cant even acknowledge his opponent after he destroyed him for 95% of the fight?
Yeah... I'm a fan of humble good men, not thugs doing gun shooting emotes at a camera after pretty much losing the fight
@Suleman Yafai guessing the trilogy fight was fixed too then yeah?
@Suleman Yafai well not really 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gotta respect Teixeira he lost his title this year but supported Alex threw the whole fight and cheered for him the most. Love to see the support from the team
@Bummo sorry i meant when he won the belt first time in ufc as the oldest first time winner.
@Messinumber1 won the belt again??
I mean what else would he do not support him because he lost? 😂
Yea class. He looked more happy for alex then he was for himself when he won belt again.
Agreed!
8:07 is exactly what a good corner is for. They rallied Leon when he needed it most and he went out and beat the best on the planet. Legendary.
Jon jones is the best
@Darrell Roary thats a weird way of spelling "khabib nurmagomedov"
He beat Jon Jones? 😂😂😂
I think khabib is still alive no? Lets see Usman best Nurmagomedov
Best on the planet ? Pliz calm down
The way Leon set up that head kick was masterful. Switches stance, feints a kick a couple of times to gauge Usman's reaction mixed in with a couple of jabs and a low kick. See's Usman isn't concerned about a high kick and WHAM lights out. That has to be a blueprint for a head kick.
Literally the most perfect explanation, that shit was beautiful
What about the trilogy, it was a kicks master class
yeah exactly you can see him setting it up he brings up that foot a few time right before he throws it
Pereira's and Leon's KOs were very impressive. To go through adversity, be tired and still come out on top!
@Hervey84 Izzy was looking at the ground lmao, Mark saved him from eating more punches or a knee to the face. Bro wasn't even there anymore
@BLUE SAVAGE they can not accept it, early stoppage is infinitely better then late stoppage for fighter and in this case stoppage did not happened second early.
@Hervey84bro Adesanya was dead. If it would have been 10 seconds to go, okay. But Pereira was about to kill him in the last round and had enough time.
What timing? the judge errored in calling the fight with Adesanya too early and he was leading...so bad..
timing was on their side
Glover and Jiri fight is one of my all time favorites, awesome performances. Pereira definitively winning the title was awesome too.
So what ? Glover is fighting for the belt again soon but I can’t say the same for jiri he had an injury so bad that he will be lucky if he ever fights again
That Gilbert Burns Vs. Khamzat Chimaev fight isn't no snooze either.
@foreverseethe wtf are you talking about dude? Too nice???? In a fight... 🤨
Glover was so tired he was about to collapse.
Leon's round 4 corner pep talk and eventual head kick to win the belt is iconic. One of the greatest moments in any fight discipline
15:25 I’ve seen this fight way too many times now, and I’ve never noticed Alex put up the 3-0 with his hands 😂
@branlopgar 100%. The ultimate troll would be for Alex to come out wrestle Izzy for 5 rounds lmao
For all the talk about Pereira being so stoic, immovable and just 🗿, the dude definitely knows how to taunt Adesanya.
What a amazing year, Alex Pereira’s finish of Izzy and Leon Edwards headkick of Kamaru Usman were incredible 👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
@Ticha Mhizha still lucky? Ez win for Leon.
@Ekales what about now? Usman lost again.
@Sérgio Feitosathey both got lucky as hell, Leon got dominated the whole fight and Pereira was saved by the bell when he was about to get knocked out
@Marcos BdK i know bt this 1 ....Izzy was dominating unles...alex was reserving his power...to finish IZZY on the last round
@Ticha Mhizha Alex Lucky 3 times Though?
Jiri vs Teixeira was indeed a legendary fight full of twists. What a fight, looking forward to what Jiri can show next.
Izzy vs Poatan is just as crazy, the composure of Alex is just out of this world
That edwards finish will never not give me goosebumps, from his corner to the commentary, perfection
@hbeezey the commentary helped make it special. As they said we were writing his obituary, then Leon Rose from the ashes to molly whop the fuck out of him.
It was the fact it was a walk off KO. As soon as Rocky hit that kick, he knew it was over.
His corner man… everytime
The commentary was garbage. They were literally saying that he was happy with a moral victory before the knockout, foh.
Truly inspirational performance
The scariest part is how quick Alex recovered from being rocked in just 45 seconds. I mean that’s a different kind of sorcery 😂
Pereira saying "Im going to kill you" before the 5th round is poetic
He said "Red Honda Civic, you left your lights on"
"Pronto pra matar"
No he said "izzy I got ligma"
He said: pronto pra matar. Whcih is ready to kill
No, he said "Killing in the name of"
The respect between Prahazka and Texeira is off the charts. A thing of beauty.
Alex is the definition of a hater, lol. At 12:32 Izzy tried to calm down the fans and Alex responds at 12:34 immediately trying to hype up the audience. It's really funny plus the 3-0 after he beat Izzy was priceless 🤣🤣🤣
@Kaelin Boone EXACTLY lmfao dude Izzy fans are so weird smh
@Random Internet Guy I bet Izzy will beat him on the rematch
@Big Nick 😅😅 "only 5 more seconds " lmao
@O&A Fan Videos 😂😂 delusional. 0 and 3. Yet you call him the better fighter??? 😅
@CM he was dodging if you look closely some of the refs call the fight at stupid moments it's cool he got the win but izzy was not done fighting that's why he was confused about the ref calling the fight but izzy took his L like a man💯(fuck punctuation )
"But that is not the cloth from which he is cut"
Right before the head kick. Perfect moment.
The Prochazka/Teixeira fight was absolutely magnificent. Back and forth for 25 minutes. A true work of art. Adesanya also fought beautifully against Pereira but Poatan is something different. Leon landed the best strike of the year. MMA is amazing.
Снайпера рост на передовом
@realzhella сна%перраросии₽передовом
That wasn't a fight that was a war! Amazing
@George Hyperventilation and still lost to an over rated fighter ? Haha
There are some that still truly respect the art but there are a lot more that don’t.
the art of fighting without fighting?? (***Bruce Lee accent).
3:09 what an amazing and truly heartwarming display of sportsmanship. just two men with no beef giving their all.
Pereira's win was poetic.
Love that UFC is releasing these longer compilations. You can really see the pace of these fights.
This was an absolute phenomenal year for us mma fans 🙌🏽🔥
Leon's victory was so epic
@Chad Wellington cope
@jack greenway if usman sucks leon is dog water because he got dominated on the ground and out struck to somebody whos stand up aint that good like you just mentioned in this 3rd fight he will get mauled so that little head kick set up wont matter.
@Ogre SMASH! Leon won the 1st
@sterlihalla Leon could do the same feint and Usman would fall do it again
@sterlihalla I have faith tbh
I'll never get tired of seeing Izzy get sent to the Shadow Realm.
Lets see if he can defend it
It's too bad the ref stepped in before Pereira put Adesanya into a vegetative state
@Luke Martin 0 n 3😅😮
send to that shadow realm? he was on his feet and immediately reacted to the refs early stoppage lmao
I felt so bad for glover, the road that man took to the title, how good he was in that fight just to end up getting submitted in the final round of what would've probably been a decision win. Such a likable dude.
Usman's run gave him alot of confidence. Leon was where he needed to tone down on that
@Zane Rodriguez i picked jones and leon in their last fights but neither by the way it happened😂i figured jones 3rd or 4th round sub and leon 2nd or 3rd round ko. crazy stuff man leon schooled usman and jones took out gane like nothing
@j.p.gane got finished in 2 minutes and Leon out struck Usman for 5 rounds 2023 has been crazy
@Ben Lewis oh trust me i understand. all three of those guys need to be on their toes in their next fights, usman and gane specifically
It happens
@TrueTacticia they we're against the cage not doing much of anything but pretty close. still though, he controlled most of the fight with wrestling, you'd think he'd just try to get him back against the cage and maybe get him down. he's got power but he's not a great technical striker, or at least not as good as leon but he was just standing in front of him
I love JIri's movement, the two injuries I was most gutted about was him and Aspinal. Can't wait till they get back.
that escape by jiri when he cranks his own arm is seriously one of the sickest moves i’ve ever seen
So cool.
Well fucking put bro!
Here here
@Diego Barrios yes but the intensity is different man
great work form Leon`s corner, I am brazilian and I can say the same about Glover cornering Poatan going into the 5th, letting him know that only the KO would do it.
I wanted Periera to win, honestly, and was happy when he did but rewatching I do think Izzi deserved some extra seconds. Am glad he didn’t suffer permanent head damages and if the ref’s stoppage prevented that am also glad he gets a rematch.
Great year for fights. Leon and Alex’s fights had a really cool feeling leading to that 5th round great comebacks
The way Jiri escaped that choke was beautiful
We truly witnessed greatness the night Leon became champion.
Usman Edwards, how can you write a better script, the corner, the commentary, the timing on the head kick, its a movie I swear. Goose bumps
@Mad Gavin and so did Jiri...
@Mad Gavin Pereira literally did the same in this same video...
His coach's speech deserves a mention 👏👌
Watching the kick in slow motion was even better
I legit think it’s my favorite moment in MMA, and I’ve been watching it more than a decade
Edwards' defense is so good, I just can't understand why he doesn't throw back after Kamaru finishes his flurry of attacks, or as Edwards, regains the centre. Just happens over and over: 6:30 he can throw back here and give Kamaru something to worry about.
Tired
Probably tired or pressure
It’s one thing that we even had three fifth round title finishes, but even wilder that in all three instances, the winning fighter was down going into the fifth and was the challenger. Add to that the fact that at least in the case of Izzy and Usman they didn’t need to win the last round and they would retain and were some of the top P4P, and this year has had some of the most insane title changes the promotion has ever seen in one year. There’s been some unfortunate ends in main events this year but also some incredible ones.
It’s still crazy Glover and Jiri were smiling the whole fight after all that damage and blood they were just loving the violence
Glover is truly a legend. Respect for him
I love how Alex just walks off without celebrating.
@Sinatra OCE after rematch or should i say 4-0, Izzy is going to retire from MMA.
@Luiz Felipe Lima does one leg kick make him win every round?😂
@Sinatra OCE we can see you know nothing about fight. He did not get smoked all fight. See izzy talking about how Alex leg kicking messed him up since round 1
He fought at 211 that's light heavyweight
@Sinatra OCE bro what? I can't even deal with this comment lol. Made him look like a rookie? I wish I was snorting whatever you do before watching fights.
15:06 that left uppercut was probably the most brutal shot from Alex finish.. almost looked like Izzy was going flying
I was amazed by this fight. Seemed the challenger was poised to handle Usman's worst the entire fight. Like he was on a completely different level and it all started with the initial takedown and full mount. The smack he gave Usman as he got up. Edwards has completely disrupted that weight division.
Adesania was taken out by an assassin who just hunted him down the entire fight.
nothing can top edward’s combination and speech. emotional.
I’d like the ref to give Adensanya 10 sec more to recompose himself. although the chance was tiny, we’re are talking about a great champion in the final championship round…

@Alyph A u got single braincell running?
"I did it Ma..." fantastic!
Ah so this is why I've seen this comment over and over again haha
@Alyph A Leon did the Conor swag walk right after he KO'd him as well 😂 Anyways, Conor brings more attention to it as well. Stop being a salty hater, lmao just enjoy the damn sport mate.
That commentary was some of my favourite, ever. Jon reminding them of Leon's character just in the nick of time was awesome
Eu já vi várias lutas desse pocan é um lutador incrível impressionante parabéns pocan
Leon's head kick is prolly one of the greatest comebacks I've seen 🐐
Seeing glover dominate like that and lose like that after the path he had to get to the belt was sad af. and that rocky "pound for pound, headshot, dead" 🥶🥶🥶 one of the coldest lines in history
Leon's headkick and post fight interview is my favorite moment in the UFC ever as a believer since day 1.
@Loke Volk is NOT beating Islam!! Keep dreaming dude lol
@Hugh janeis the Brandon Moreno speech is my all time favorite post fight speech. I rewatch that moment often. So much passion and relief
@Cottonheaded Ninnymuggins He is right tho.
Same, it’s just one of those moments you can’t overstate how insane it was
@Cottonheaded Ninnymuggins gsp beating bisping was a better moment Robby lawler spitting the blood then breaking Rory was better even Brandon Moreno’s speech was way better than Leon’s
Some absolutely epic battles this year. Great year for MMA
What an amazing year of fights we've been blessed with.
"But that is not the cloth from which he is cut" - EPIC line from Anik
You can see Leon waiting to throw the head kick , his left leg was locked and loaded , amazing!
That head kick from Leon was mad bruv 😳 👌
8:53 "But that is not the cloth from which he is cut..." from Jon Anik, seconds before Leon throws that head kick. One of the most legendary commentary moments of all time.
@Ollie 2724 "The Eagle rises again" and "Who can stop Charles Oliveira" always come to mind
@Ollie 2724 like Hooker vs Poirier "what a fight if you are not a fan of defense" :D
I love Jon Anik he always says something iconic
How are you doing
I just ignore the fact that he was probably gonna agree with Joe and Daniel there lol
Edwards vs Usman. The first pay per view I ever purchased. And my god was that worth it. Such an amazing card. And a grand finale.
Huge respect texiera , what a legend
I was in the arena for Edwards on my birthday and it will forever be my favorite moment!!
Leon’s headkick is my #1 craziest moment in MMA-history. Anyone with a brain expected Pereira to beat Adesanya, so that finish wasn’t as crazy imo.
Head shot...done!!! Leon's head-shot was poetry in motion throwing out the right hand to distract usman from the kick...beautiful..
@CHEETO NATION how are you doing
How are you doing
it was left hand he threw to make him go right
@Nights Timo is Usman likely to fall for the same type of thing and will Leon beat him in a rematch if he doesn’t GREATLY improve his wrestling?
YOU cope
I love Trevor Whitman, smiling Leon’s celebration even though his guy lost. He’s a legend and a true representative of mma
Leon literally is Rocky. His speech at the end was the stuff of movies
The way Daniel Cormier said “he did it again” after pereira finished adesanya 😂😂 he felt sooo bad for adesanya
Jiri’s fight was insane he looks like a beast
They say in life, timing is everything. Izz had him beat down but the buzzer saved him twice
But overall, that comeback was great and speech was good too
I'm happy for him as well seems he was long overlooked
Leon felt in his heart he couldn’t beat Usman. I like Usman a lot but good stuff for Leon. Definitely going to give him a ton of confidence in the next fight.
I was surprised by the amount of fifth round finishes this year. Good fights were had.
Humildade é tudo , adesania tropeçou na soberba.
Listening to Leon's reaction gives me goose bumps.
Un año increíble y de sorpresas 😸!
Sometimes Anik is a god tier commentator. Pushing back on dc and joe in that moment with such an earnest view of edwards. Almost like it inspired him to throw that kick. Beautiful. Keep that guy on the mic forever.
@Lyvnair "That is a dejected..."
While the timing was magnificent from the "Not cut from that cloth" statement, it's pretty clear he was intending on agreeing with Joe and Daniel but got cut off lol I just ignore it though
@zer0 “almost like it inspired” is not the same as “this is why he did it derp” loosen up man, call your mom she worried about you.
The bias shown by Rogan and in particular DC and Bisbing at times towards champions in particular is sickening. They have a constant hard on for him. So watching him get finished along with Usman was so satisfying. Anik is a real G!!!
Does he say "That is a degenerate" about Usman falling?
Yeah hes a good commentator, but you are wrong, he had nothing to do with the kick. Unlike pretty much everyone else Leon never once counted himself out, he was always looking for that.
🇧🇷🏆🌎 FOCO TOTAL CAMPEÃO!
Leon Edwards interview after his fight was so legendary. We see you now brother, we see you.
Great year, that jiri reversal is my favourite and Alex upset was crazy, I can only imagine if izzy got him first round...
LEON EDWARD'S ALMOST IN TEARS , NO ONE SAID I COULD DO IT ,LOOK AT ME NOW,FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!
leons going to get the floor wiped with his ass in the rematch, don't know why he took the rematch, he should have fought a couple of other guys first, they made him wait for years for a title shot, he should make them wait now too. make usman work, take some damage, send kumaru to fight khamzat etc.
he made a big mistake accepting an immediate rematch.
Let's not forget how important a good corner is. Some of the best coaching can be heard in this video.
The way Leon looked standing up from the stool, damn he knew
The heart of Glover man what a legend .
i seriously loved the amount of sportmanship between jiri and glover. usually we just get a quick glove touch at the end but what they did was truly a sign of real admiration and respect
Trevor Witman's smile after Usman's KO 10:11) He is really kind man)
What a year, and GREAT FIGHTERS❤🙌!!!
Lo de León sigue sorprendiendome despues de meses. Never Gip Up
Man those Glover elbows from mount were brutal
Leon’s coach Was even shaking when he gave him water. Crazy moment
Fight of the Year and KO of the Year both ended up in the 5th round of a title fight. Oh, and Pereira capping off an historic year in the UFC with a TKO of the Style bender himself. Incredible!!💯
If only Izzy had 5 more seconds after the straight and left hook at the end of that round
that ring pressure by pereira is insane
"That is not the cloth from which he was cut" may be the most well timed line in commentator history
