@Nash McElveen I seen this happen on other YT videos before, they are usually bots that are coded to copy and paste an existing top comment to make them seem human, but their yt profile will usually contain explicit/scam sites for you to click on.
Similar to those bots that talk to each other about investing.

For everyone confused about #7 (35:22) it was meant to be a play to try to get the defense to jump, then the colts would call timeout before the play clock expired, but the snappers reflexes got the best of him

Lol-sorry it had to be #1 bro. That sucks, but I had a feeling it was gonna be-just cause everyone knows that play (how easy people forget how much Sanchez played really, really well back in 2009-2010. Cause of one damn play). You must’ve known it prolly would be too. But believe me dude, I absolutely get it. I’m lifelong, diehard Lions fan: obviously there’s nothing I know more deeply & intimately than football suffering. If they ever made a list of 100 worst bloopers of NFL organizations, hell man....Detroit would prolly hafta be makin up about 80-90%% of that thing 😞). We’ve sucked so hard for most of my lifetime (but at least we’re finally buildin a real team now. FINALLY). I’ve always liked the Jets though. My Dad’s hero was Namath, so he made me gang green all the way (& w/ them bein in the AFC, it was always ok for us to like them on the side. Always be married to Lions, but Jets are the beloved side piece). Al Toon was my favorite receiver & non-Lions player when I started in youth football at 8. Wanted to copy everything about him. He was my hero; had his poster on my ceiling.
Anyway, hope yer new QB works out for you guys bro. He looked damn good toward the end of the season. Really good. You guys might have somethin there. Josh Allen struggled alot his first year too, & look at him now. I hope Zac turns out to be awesome & just smokes that division for 15 yrs to come (HATE the Pats. Screw the Phins too). J E T S JetsJetsJets!

@Greg Mead He apologized that night. Went to the Tigers locker room to do so in person (which is actually against the rules for umpires, but everyone let it slide this time). And in a gesture of magnamity, Galaraga was the one who met with the mule at the plate to deliver the lineup card the next day. There was a lot of class all around on what everyone realizes was a huge mistake.
Including the owners. That play, more than any other in the history of the sport, is why video review was instituted. Alas, it was too late for that game.

    • Greg Mead
Greg Mead 10 ай бұрын +2

I remember that. It was so horrendously bad a call. If they'd had instant replay reviews, it would have been overturned. IIRC, the ump apologized, but far, far too late.

    • AaronKeyWest
      AaronKeyWest  Жыл бұрын

It should be an automatic goal when a goalie cheats this blatantly and the player should be suspended for at least a game or 2. Penalty shots have about a 30-35% success rate so it is clearly benefits the goaltender to do this and this is a serious loophole that should be closed.

    • tbone
      tbone 3 жыл бұрын +7

@01101001b How's it cheating exactly? Yes it's a penalty of course. Just like a guy on a breakaway and a player reaches out and trips him on purpose. Or a wide receiver being grabbed and held because he was going to score a TD otherwise, that's kinda cheating also isn't it? If it's a move that helps his team then it's a smart move, period. Not like the NHL says it's cheating and suspends him for a game or something. Do I think it's kinda a dick move, of course.

@Sludge I forgot about the 2019 one with the kid. That one was cool because he save a lady from being hit. I remember a different one in 2018 where the guy was holding food in one hand, caught the foul ball with the other, set down the food to show the ball around, and then caught the next foul ball with his free hand. Ray Fosse - "Was that the same guy?" Glen Kuiper - "I think that was the same guy!" Ray Fosse - "We've seen quite a few gold glove plays off the field this month."

I've always liked Mark Sanchez. If he were given the same chance as many other young QBs, such as Bradshaw, Aikman, Elway, Manning, even Testaverde, he would've evolved into a solid franchise QB, I have zero doubt. He proved it coming off the bench n Philly. N that brief amount of time, he was among the best QBs that season. Not to mention, leading the Jets to back to back AFC Championship games, as a rookie and sophomore QB. He's always been a positive, great leader of his team everywhere he's played. Genuinely kind and humble man. Yeap, Sanchez was n a popularity contest that he lost n, before he even knew he was n a contest to begin with. Really sad story. He was never given a proper chance to learn and grow. It's a shame, because it happens more and more every year.

#60 with the rowers: Having been to a lot of rowing events, I've seen similar things that just boggle the mind. Because of bad steering and team guidance by the cox on a turn, watched an 8 person shell 'run aground' on a dock; went halfway on it. Saw another 8 go too close to a bridge and wound up smacking into an abutment on the starboard side, driving the oars into the torsos of the rowers. Saw 3 shells trying to get under a bridge span side by side and just wound up smacking each other and each others boat with oars. Watched a rower catch a crab so bad that it launched them out of the boat. The list goes on...

I think people think that crew is a genteel, boring sport, but things DO happen like that. Non-oarsmen don't realize how fast the shells can go and how much power is involved.

#7- As a Colts fan, this was painful to watch. I actually watched it live, and I was wondering what the heck was going on. That game as a whole hurt, but I knew right away that play would live on in infamy for a very long time.
#3- I still cant believe that Bud Selig didn't overturn that call and award Armando Galarraga that perfect game. The call was an obvious blown call, and on the LAST out in the game. There are no "what ifs" or "maybes" to this one, because it happened on the LAST out. If it was the 25th or 26th out, you can say that you never really know if he would've gotten the last out or two. This happened on the LAST out though. The game should've been OVER at that point and a perfect game in the record books. I hope the league does the right thing one day and finally overturns that call and officially rewards Galarraga the perfect game.
