Production Crew: So Mr. Filoni, you've worked on prequels, clone wars, rebels, mandalorean. What elements would you like to have in your episode of Boba? Dave: Yes.
@Andreas Andre Myrvold that's so going to happen. Grogu now knows he has a longer life to do things, and Grogu will choose to spend the next part of it with Din. Choice 1 - shirt or lightsaber and no Din, remembering nasty things and emotional blackmail. Choice 2 - shirt, darksaber and Din and lots of unconditional love. Luke doesn't realise that Din has the darksaber
I would like you to make a storyline where in the next episode Grogu can have both the lightsaber and the "mithril" (cough) beskar chainmail making him a kind of jedi-mandalorian-yoda kind of character?
When Luke and Ahsoka are talking, she looks so much at peace. They talked. Luke told her what went down on Death Star 2. And... Dare I say... Ahsoka wept.
I think Luke will rewrite the Jedi Code. I don't see Luke not giving Grogu the Beskar mail shirt. I think that the will for Grogu to choose is the important part. Not which one he chooses. Luke knows that it was his love for his father and his friends that gave him the power to save his father. That is a lesson that this Luke would never forget in my opinion.
It's not that kind of choice. Luke said to Ahsoka he felt Grogu's heart wasn't in it. The old Jedi code wouldn't have given him a choice until he was at the stage of being knighted.
@Richie Rich They absolutely would. On one hand they will do whatever makes money, and overwriting those sequels in a decade or so will be easy money. On top of that, the people working on these tv shows actually give a shit about star wars, whereas the ones who made the sequels clearly didn't.
Can y'all imagine how fast we'd have been laughed out of a Star Wars Celebration a few years ago if we'd have suggested we'd get a live action Luke Skywalker hanging out with Ahsoka Tano while training a baby Yoda during a story about Boba Fett teaming up with another Mandalorian to take on the Pikes to defend Jaba the Hutt' thrown which he'd stolen from Bib Fortuna and that all of this was low-key setting up a team up to take on... Grand Admiral Fucking Thrawn? We'd have been commited to an insane asylum for the safety of ourselves and others
noise., it was a Corporate decision (and a good one) not to get too esoteric with the MCU at that time. Comic Book Fans need to realize they aren't making these movies to appeal to you, but to appeal to a wider audience. One that is willing to accept super beings, but not ready to accept incarnations of concepts like Death as a woman to be woo'ed. It was the original plan because the after credits scene in Avengers foreshadowed it. But the money changers on the Disney Board nixed the idea. Comic Book Fanservice is all well and good, but in the end it is about making money. And since all Kennedy was doing at Lucasfilm was LOSE money, they had to keep Marvel as an earner.
@Don Coleman Thanos was obsessed with Lady Death, he wanted to court her. He started attempting this by collecting the infinity stones and gauntlet to kill half the population of the universe for her, not the idiotic reason Disney came up with for the movies.....
WORD. OH MY GOD YES. I loved him in the original EU when I read Zahn’s trilogy in 1990 and I want him done right. He’s literally the only eu character i recognize in the disneyverse
I love how everyone's reaction was the same when Cad shows up. You watch Cobb completely destroy four dudes in a quick draw at the start of the episode, but Bane walks into town and everyone immediately starts praying he doesn't kill Cobb.
I can agree with that. The cuts were a bit odd and made the deputy look incompetent. With how well the first scene with Cobb is filmed to capture his speed, it was an odd choice. I think that’s a valid complaint. I had one in episode 5 when the armorer was complaining about the spear and piercing Beskar. How it’s only supposed to be for armor. Then why make Mando hundreds of mini-spears in the form of whistling birds? Seems kind of hypocritical. But I can overlook some things like that at this stage, simply because we’re at least getting something semi cohesive instead of the sequel trilogy
I was just thinking that! There was 0 question in anyones minds. So epic, I dont think any of us realized how much we respect Cad. We all knew he was a thug, but he almost has saitama status
@JetAwayWithDisney! From what I've seen, you're the only one that's pointed that out and I will admit I found it weird that he was able to do that before the deputy even unholstered his weapon. But I didn't think too hard about it cause then I would have to go back and point out everything in the series that seemed just as weird. And it's honestly not worth doing all that. We just have to appreciate what we're seeing on screen and stop nit picking every little thing. Cause that was definitely not the only issue this series has had.
@Witcher Joker If that's the case, and they can make it work, that could go ahead. Lucasfilm owns the likeness rights of original trilogy cast already.
@T Tanza Really? I'd definitely agree episode 5 and 6 were the best but Boba Fett had 1 line total in those 2 episodes. Didn't feel like the Book of BOBA FETT anymore. As for episode 7, there wasn't any buildup to the climax throughout the show, and the big threat was only named once. Cad Bane was also easily dealt with. The finale just felt off. I enjoyed episodes 2-4 the most, as they were actually about Boba Fett and not Mando S2,5. Not to say that I did not like the series, in fact I hope it gets a second season which fixes some of the issues the first season had. I'm not too invested in Boba Fett, but I expected a series about Boba Fett, and not spend the entire buildup to the climax with Din
@germin 97 Oh, The Show definitely proved that that saying "It's not how you start, it's how you finish" is indeed true. "THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT" definitely started off disappointingly but the last 3 episodes of it were Great!
Now we shall see if Boba has what it takes after all. The gauntlet has been thrown. If he wants to rule, he has to do to the Pikes what he did to the stormtroopers in Mandalorian. And if that happens, I think most people will forgive the slow start.
I remember a few moments of CGI in some earlier episodes looked a little iffy, and I couldn’t help but think “what happened to the CGI budget from The Mandalorian?” Then Luke showed up and I said to myself “ohhhh so that’s where it went”
Same. I love the show, but there's definitely been a few scenes that didn't exactly look up to par. But hey, if they were going to put all the money in one episode this was the one to do it!
I have seen so many people being genuinely mad at Luke for making Grogu chose between training and family. They say that Luke should know that better then to give Grogu that kind of ultimatum because Luke is pro attachments and Grogu is a child. They are also mad at Ahsoka for convincing Din to leave. With her I think that is due to her knowing that attachments can be dangerous because of what happened with Anakin. She has a understandable reason for thinking this way but she’s also obviously very wrong, because she’s seen the power attachments and love can have looking at Ezra and Kanan. For me personally, I think that Grogu needs both. He needs a teacher that is actually a Jedi because Din won’t be able to teach him unless Din suddenly gain the ability to be force sensitive, but he also needs to keep his connection with Din because it’s important to him
@Mr. Stuff Doer It wasn't just training that made him save the galaxy, though. No amount of training would have prepared him to fight the Emperor on his own. Believing in his father is what saved the galaxy. Of course, without training he wouldn't have even gotten that far. The right answer is balance.
@Ethanal Spencer When he went to fight Vader against Yoda’s direction, as Yoda said he needed more training, IIRC, he ending up with one of the most famous losses in fiction. Yeah he saved the Galaxy later…. After more training.
I love Adam's reactions. He seems like a such pure, childlike (in all the best possible ways) guy :) I also like how every reactor I've seen is like : "Kill the deputy, instead of Cobb!"
I’ve never heard a better description of Timothy Olyphant than wind blown perfection. We need a Cobb Vanth spin-off. It’d be like Justified/Deadwood in space and I am 100% here for it
Din Djarin, Baby Yoda, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Cobb Vanth, and Cad Bane all sharing the screen during a Boba Fett show... Dave Filoni needs a statue in his honor.
Seeing you two experience the same emotions I did at almost every point in this episode was like experiencing them all over again. Thank youse twos for all the content you make!
Shakes fist at sky “DAMN YOU DAVE FILONI” I waited up for this reaction. You guys delivered as always. Ugh. Emotionally exhausted.. I need a nap now.. #StarWarsTherapy
I was already crying and then Adam said “Luke and Ahsoka are friends” and I just started bawling. Thank you both so much for this… What an incredible episode. You guys are the best. 🧡
This was a great episode. Im not even mad that we didnt really see Bobbafett for 2 episodes. I am really liking what they are doing with current Star Wars on Disney Plus. I also feel like Grogu is a major player in the future.
Also, when Ashoka says to look “ so much like your father” I think she is referring to Grogu, how he has attachment and maybe he must walk a different path then the traditional Jedi, because Ashoka knows but Luke has to make the choice to let Grogu choose
Last night, out of pure nostalgia, I was watching reactions to Mando S2 finale and I was thinking to myself "I remember that feeling, this episode made my whole week, what a great episode..." and then today I just got what is probably the most Star Wars character per episode ratio ever for a live action show. Just give Favreu and Filoni the freedom to do movies and let Disney just cash in. Do it!
Everyones acting was fantastic in this episode. Cobb being cool as a cucumber against four pikes, but showing subtle fear when cad pulls back the coat. Luke and ashoka? Emooootional Daaamage!
This is one of the best reactions I have ever seen. You guys are watching through tears half the time, and the Cad Bane reaction is what you get when you're emotionally tired from 19 other reveals in the episode. Amazing stuff guys :)
The speed difference between Cobb, Cad Bane, and the deputy is ridiculous. First it shows Cobb take out three piles before they even draw their gun. Then when the deputy tries to pull his gun, Cobb already has his unholstered, but Cad has already fired. The difference between an amateur, an expert, and a master.
Glad to hear someone else say it; they really needed to invest more time in Asoka and Luke. I mean, I'm sure they will at some point but we want that initial conversation when she tells him she was his father's student. We, as full grown men who cry when you do this kind of shit, really need it.
You can already see why Luke failed though. I know that the sequel storyline is badly written, but Luke's demand that Grogu make a choice, right at the start of his training, mimics the Jedi and how they treated Anakin.
There is a difference; Luke gave Grogu the choice knowing that Grogu's internal conflict would violate the rules of the Jedi eventually, as he'd either break his vows or be conflicted for the rest of his life...*if* he chooses to go with Mando. Luke can't know what the best choice for him is, only Grogu can. The Jedi didn't really give Anakin a choice; Luke tried to explain why the choice was needed, accepted Grogu's decision, and clearly taught Grogu a little bit of the force in the meantime, presumably enough to protect himself. On the other hand the Jedi code is still *complete* nonsense. If anything I wish we had a sequel trilogy that recognized that, and was instead focused on how the Jedi *and* Sith codes were both self-destructive and attempted a synthesis of them (and other force techniques), trying to stay true to the themes of star wars while engaging with the philosophies in a deeper way. Instead we get the *sentiment* that the past was broken, with no *substance* in the second film.
There have been so many instances already where the sequel trilogy has been contradicted by 'The Mandalorian' + 'The Book of Boba Fett' that I doubt it's the same timeline. Heck, the sequel trilogy was so poorly managed that it managed to contradict itself multiple times.
Grogu has to be given a choice at the beginning to decide for the way of the Jedi. Presumably Luke will change his mind at some point when he learns the story of the Dark Saber and that a Jedi can also be a Mandalorian and vice versa.
The Star Wars Fandom won today. Filoni and Favreau are giving us so much. Also, definitely wasn't expecting a Song of Solomon mention in this reaction, but it had me rolling.
Jay’s face of devastation when Mando left was 100% also me 💔 This episode was just bonkers, in the best way. I absolutely love seeing you guys get emotional about Star Wars. I found you guys because of your Mando Season 2 reaction a year ago. This feels full circle now.
Can you imagine we could actually get to see a live-action Fennec vs. Cad Bane fight, round 2? I can just imagine them having a conversation and Bane mentions Omega, prompting Boba to then ask Fennec later, who is Omega...then end scene cut to black.
I think that would be a good way of doing it. I want to see Omega in this show but it’s too soon. They have to carve out her story in Bad Batch just a bit more, but just a mention and a cut to black like you said would be a good, and also kinda funny.
The Grogu luke story wasn't that unexpected after the last episode tho and they have to keep Asoka in the game somehow with her show coming up and all that. Cad turning up was just a matter of when rather than if, they need an Antagonist with reputation (who's already canon) and he makes the most sense. Like i've been waiting for him since the Pykes showed up, this is basically a Mafia-Western and he's like THE gunslinger in star wars (and probably the one who killed the Tuskens). I'm really looking forward to see if he and Fennec meet and how that goes down. Yodas saber was a bit of a surprise for me because I thought he lost it in the Senate fight with Palpatine but I guess ofc Luke has it now.
I was looking forward to this. Your reactions to Luke's appearance in the Mandalorian S2 Finale really sold it for me that you'd love this episode of BOBF. The fact that Ahsoka and Luke interacted and Cad Bane appeared for the first time made me realize happy tears were going to happen. You didn't disappoint.
I have a feeling Grogu will get both. Luke was testing his friendship with Din and I think his idea of a new Jedi Order would be not to abandon attachments because trying to choose between your loved ones and being a Jedi is what got Anakin in the first place.
@BlackWind1909 Asoka said Grogu would be Luke's first student. With such words, the "sequel trilogy" stopped being canon. Even before this, Luke's words, "talent without training is nothing" ending the sequel trilogy.
@takeitslowly No. Luke did not choose his father over anything. He simply behaved as a Jedi should-never giving up on someone who has strayed from the light side of the force.
Adriangabs It wasn't the choosing between his loved ones and the Jedi that messed up Anakin. It was the failure of the Jedi to clearly explain that attachment was not wrong, but being a Jedi must have first place. Also the Jedi wrongly let others in power teach that any attachment was not to be on a personal level but "business like". Luke is going to teach Grogu that either he can be both a Mandalorian and a Jedi, or he can be a Jedi but to put his feelings for those he loves in it's proper place-second to his work as a Jedi.
Thank you for this. I cried along with you. Nerd moments for sure. “I’m a friend of the family.” And felt you… “please don’t kill Timothy Olyphant, Cad Bane.”
This might be my favorite reaction - that weepy, dewy eyed look is EXACTLY the look I had through the first 20 or so minutes of this episode. The funny thing is I had made myself a cup of tea, and decided to make some of my Republic of Tea 'Mandalorian' themed tea (I bought myself the whole set for Christmas) and decided on the Luke+Grogu brand. It was perfect :) And at that moment when the screen just cut - almost anticlimactically - to Luke sitting there meditating I almost dropped the mug entirely and my eyes just completely filled with tears. My heart almost stopped seeing Luke and Ahsoka just standing there hanging out and I WANT MORE. I agree, I want that hour long talk about his father, lol. Hell, we know Hayden is around for Kenobi and Ahsoka, he should just drop by for tea ;) I think there are some fair criticisms to make of the focus of the show in general (I think Boba deserves his own arc/story which has now been sidelined) but so much of this made me so happy. I will say one thing that did NOT make me happy was the pain of watching Ahsoka and Luke repeat the mistakes of the old Jedi Order here. Ahsoka's musings on Grogu missing Din are so similar to the fears of the Council regarding Anakin missing his mother, and they went about it the wrong way. Obviously it's great that Luke is giving Grogu a choice but I'm very much a 'why not both' girl, and especially coming from somebody for whom balancing his attachments and the Jedi way saved the galaxy it's just...sigh. (And I get they kind of have to do this because they have to basically set up the new Academy for failure...it makes sense that Luke might try to fall back on re-emulating some ideal instead of trusting his own instincts, but it hurts to watch.) Funny thing is , when this show started, my big hope for a cameo was Qi'ra. And here we got Ahsoka, Luke Skywalker, Cad Bane, Cobb Vanth and Artoo. Oh,and Cin Dralig ;) How many Order 66 reenactments are we up to now?
I happened to wake up at 4 am, saw Twitter freaking out about this episode and immediately watched it twice. Now I've just been watching reactions ALL day
I’ve been waiting all day for YOUR reaction!! So glad to be apart of the beautiful peach nation! I love the sheer emotional and real reactions we get from your content, and I know I wasn’t the only one getting sniff-ley and teary eyed during this episode and everything we got. I too kept saying out loud please don’t let Cad kill Timothy!! I’m torn on the choice Grogu has to make, I want him and Mando to be back together, but I also know I want to see him become a Jedi!! Thanks sooooo much for your hard work and content!!!
'Space Avengers' is on point - Boba fett is bringing together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when he needed them to, to fight the battles that- wait wrong franchise :D Chapter 7 has gotta be everyone in Team Boba kicking some ass and being awesome
The fact that a computer is voicing Luke by putting together clips of Mark Hamill’s voice is amazing. The technology is advancing quickly, it makes the possibilities limitless as long as it’s used respectfully. We could see anyone again in Disney plus series, may the force be with us all
Bro i was NOT expecting Ahsoka to appear. It was so out of nowhere that i jumped of my chair. I dont remember seeing an episode of any series ever that threw so much awesome stuff at me at the same time. What a time to be a Star Wars fan!
I'd like to formally thank Jay for being so validating. I, too, started crying when that antenna popped up and didn't stop crying for the entirety of this episode. You guys are always the best.
I just watched Episode 6 and immediately rushed over here knowing there would be tears, lol. Luke Skywalker! And Cad Bane! And Yoda's lightsaber! And a Mithril shirt! What an AMAZING episode!
The last two episodes with Din and Grogu have been amazing and made me happy cry just like you guys! But…As a boba fan I’m a bit bummed we aren’t seeing more of him and his story. I wanted more flashbacks and I wanted to see him talk about Jango and meet other clones and talk about his life and stuff. I’m hopeful that he remains a big characters on Mando S3 because we only have one episode left and I haven’t had enough boba yet!
@RATED Let's be real The Mandalorian and tbobf is all one big show. If they made a second spin-off for bo katan it would be this way too. For my own sanity I choose to think of it more like a tree with branches!
Luke talking with Aunt Ashoka just melts my heart! Mando's N1 Star Fighter hotrod is so insane, perfect fit for Mando. Cad Bane is terrifying in Live Action. Cobb Vanth isn't dead yet. Think it through. . .
Luke going around recruiting Force wielders would be SO EPIC. Maybe one padawan per episode, kinda like the Vader comics where he hunted a Jedi per issue.
I just love the idea of the Tuskens looking around like, "Hey, where did it's head go?" and it cuts to the jawas SOMEHOW having stolen the entire skull without anyone noticing.
I can see about a hundred jawas sneaking around in the dead of night with a whole lotta rope and pulleys and antigrav lifters, trying to be sneaky and not giving it away with their constant chatter. And good for them that they pulled it off. Let the jawas get away with something once in a while.
@MrE Nygma "Agents! We've got a new case for you." "What is it this time, chief?" "Jawas just stole Beggar's Canyon." "They...they what?" "And...yes, it looks like they also just grabbed Tatooine's second sun and the concept of hyperspace."
So, Mando hated droids because of his traumatic childhood in which droids killed his parents (understandable). His view on droids has come a long way. This episode was like a decades-long dream come true. I still can't believe we got Luke in his prime training a student. Admittedly, I was in tears too.
A Valentine for us Star Wars fans from our Head Nerd Dave Filoni. Thanks Dave! 💕 And a special thanks to Adam and Jay for being as emotional about it as I was! ❤🍑
Grogu will live for 900 years. Let him spend 40-50 years with Din and then he can train as a Jedi. Besides Luke said he was remembering it more than he was learning it. Grogu probably just needs to do finals, throw his little cap in the air, and walk across the stage. Bam, bam, bam, and done. He can then avenge who ever kills his Armor-Daddy, take back the Dark Saber, and rule Mandalore for another 500+ years and then retire and go to Dagoba and live fat on all the frogs he wants. Life well lived.
The technical work of doing Luke in daylight with natural shadows all over him is.. *chef's kiss*. I feel like your Digital Effects resume goes up in value if you just say you watched this show.
Another awesome reaction, you guys are legends! Question now is, what did Grogu choose? My thoughts, he went for the armour. Luke then takes him back to Tatooine and gets persuaded to teach Mando how to use the Dark Sabre. They get attacked, Luke sees Grogu and Mando in action and realizes Grogu could be both a Jedi and Madalorian. They do a Miyagi-Fang and Grogu becomes a Jed-orian!!!
The thing that kills me is everything that Luke is doing in this show doesn’t matter because the temple falls and all of the students die. It sucks. I love it all. It’s just bittersweet.
This show can make a 45 old man feel just as happy as he did that on that Christmas morning when he found an NES under the tree. The extreme joy I felt this morning was something that I wasn't expecting until Season 3 of Mando.
@John Locke I don't even think I'd really asked. But my grandmother-RIP, had 3 sets of grandkids, so that Xmas morning probably 1989-3 NESs. I'm still grateful for Nintendo Power giving any subscribers a free Final Fantasy guide or I'd have been screwed.
27:02 Jay's mind left the building... LOL these guys are so precious. It's so touching to see them cry seeing Luke. Favorite moment though was 19:04 Yes it does. ADAM. LMAO
I love how y'all get emotional and tear up in your reactions, and you're ok with embracing what you are feeling. You echo my feelings on the inside as a fellow Star Wars fan. I just wanna give you both a hug when you guys cry and get emotional. Love all your reactions, keep the good content coming!
I’ve been watching reaction videos of Ep6 since it came out, and this one HAS to be my favorite! That episode took us all right back to our childhood! Loved both of your reactions! 👊

Im pretty sure he didnt work on the sequels
Prequels
“MandalorEan”
Can you imagine the Joy in Ahsoka's heart when Luke told her that Anakin redeemed himself in the end.
When I saw Luke and Ahsoka on screen at the same time, my first thought was, "The circle is now complete."
When Luke and Ahsoka are talking, she looks so much at peace.
They talked. Luke told her what went down on Death Star 2. And... Dare I say... Ahsoka wept.
omg bro facts
Oh wow never thought of that. That’s heartwarming 😮
@TheGreenDee hopefully we will in the Ahsoka Series 🙏🏼
"How did they get that thing on top of there?!"
Pure, unadulterated, crackhead determination. It is the hallmark of the Jawa species.
"For Kevin!!" 😁
they were probably high off...something. egg or meat or sand idfk
@Carl Zerris They'll do it. I know it
@Carl Zerris if there's any species that can do it, I trust the Jawas to do it
“You can choose only one.”
Armored Grogu with Yoda’s lightsaber: “Only a Sith deals in absolutes.”
@Andrew Mckay He might one day rule over a restored Mandalore, as the ultimate warrior.
I think Luke will rewrite the Jedi Code. I don't see Luke not giving Grogu the Beskar mail shirt. I think that the will for Grogu to choose is the important part. Not which one he chooses. @D P Ahsoka left when she was still a padawan, and Dooku left when he was a master. I don't think that's true.
It's not that kind of choice. Luke said to Ahsoka he felt Grogu's heart wasn't in it. The old Jedi code wouldn't have given him a choice until he was at the stage of being knighted.

I love how Ashoka calls him "Master Luke." I think calling him "Master Skywalker" is just a bit too much for her.
May The Force be with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni!

"Yes! You don't mess with Timothy Olyphant!"
*Cad Bane appears for 2 seconds*
".... Please don't kill Timothy Olyphant."
Jay almost crying the whole episode was something I needed! This reaction plus this episode was a masterpiece! Thank you Dave, Adam and Jay! 😍
His reaction was so genuine ❤️❤️
“that looks like a top hat”
“yes it does adam.
yes
it
does”
I died😂
I'm floored by the leap in tech they've made in a year in rendering Luke. Its honestly night and day. I really cant wait to see what they do next year
Exactly what I thought! Leaps and bounds in a matter of months. It’s almost scary.
@vasalem 🤣🤣🤣 The sequels were awful but dream on man.
we need a leia and han show. and of course retcon and completely remake the sequels
@Witcher Joker If that's the case, and they can make it work, that could go ahead. Lucasfilm owns the likeness rights of original trilogy cast already.
@Thomas Cunningham All Ford needs to do is sign that they are allowed to use his likeness. You don't need the actor to make this work.
Jay’s casual expressionless slide back when he first saw Cad Bane is the best thing I’ve seen in years
I thought that was sabastin stan but eh I wouldn't know lol
I was going to comment the same thing.
19:00
“Yes it does Adam, yes it does”
I saw it hit his face the same way it hit me. I said, out loud in a room filled with nobody, “Same Jay, Same.”
I am a BIG believer in the saying "It's not how you start, it's how you finish" and this Show so far is really proving that that is indeed true.
I'm wondering how you think about this now
Yeah, it's finishing as Mandalorian Season 3 instead of Boba Fett Season 1.
Now we shall see if Boba has what it takes after all. The gauntlet has been thrown. If he wants to rule, he has to do to the Pikes what he did to the stormtroopers in Mandalorian. And if that happens, I think most people will forgive the slow start.
Literally had chills the entire episode. THE ENTIRE EPISODE
No shame in the fact that I cried like a baby when Ahsoka and Luke talked 😭. THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD.
I want more of them talking and reminiscing. Maybe in Ashoka's show.
I remember a few moments of CGI in some earlier episodes looked a little iffy, and I couldn’t help but think “what happened to the CGI budget from The Mandalorian?”
Then Luke showed up and I said to myself “ohhhh so that’s where it went”
Same. I love the show, but there's definitely been a few scenes that didn't exactly look up to par. But hey, if they were going to put all the money in one episode this was the one to do it!
Luke's ultimatum here is essentially the same one Yoda gave him "Family or Training," He knows the right answer is Family
It's like poetry, it rhymes.
The fact my mind was blown over and over again every 2 minutes throughout the episode
YES !!
Love how they are doing justice to so many big characters.
"NOOOOO!!NOO WAYYY!NOOO!STOP IT, DISNEY!!NOOOOOO!!HOLY Shit......... o:"
Yup! 5 seconds in: "omg!" 5 minutes in: "OMG!" 10 minutes in: "OH. MY GOD!!!" And it just kept going from there
I had never seen Cad Bane before this episode and he was terrifying. I was genuinely scared, it was weird. What a powerful introduction!
I love Adam's reactions. He seems like a such pure, childlike (in all the best possible ways) guy :)
I also like how every reactor I've seen is like : "Kill the deputy, instead of Cobb!"
My fav part is when R2-D2 is on screen Jay says: *You sons of bitches*🤣🤣
I’ve never heard a better description of Timothy Olyphant than wind blown perfection. We need a Cobb Vanth spin-off. It’d be like Justified/Deadwood in space and I am 100% here for it
This is my episode 7. This is in my head cannon now. So many tears and so much happiness.
You guys sobbing as Luke runs with a Grogu backpack is a perfect example of why I love Star Wars
"It's Filoni's episode. Everything makes sense now." YES. YES IT DOES.
Din Djarin, Baby Yoda, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Cobb Vanth, and Cad Bane all sharing the screen during a Boba Fett show... Dave Filoni needs a statue in his honor.
19:01 Jay’s realization is priceless! 😂🔥🔥
I rarely cry or get emotional on shows and movies. But the moment when the force theme started to play... damn, they got me.
Same
Seeing you two experience the same emotions I did at almost every point in this episode was like experiencing them all over again.
I was like is this 2020 December all over again
If Anakin wouldn't have gone to the dark side, she might have been Luke or Leias Master :)
Ashoka basically his surrogate aunt, i really wanted the either in motion pic / book format about how both of them met
She's more like Luke's auntie, and it's obvious Luke looks up to her and wants to spend more time with her.
Same same!🥲🥲🥲
Just when you think last weeks episode really hits the feels then they hit you with this. Those tears of joy were shed by many!!
Cad Bane has to be an old man by this point. And he’s still an excellent shot
I love that Luke is pretty much teaching Miyagi-Do karate to Grogu.
This episode was all tears. You, me, everyone. Pure magic
Tears? What tears? I'M not crying, YOU'RE crying!
I live for Jay’s hysterical laughter. I cry with you guys, it’s so beautiful.
This was absofuckinglutely AMAZING!!! Luke looked so good. The possibilities are endless what they could do now.
Adam watching Din and the Armorer in Ep. 5 : "Training Montage!!!"
Dave Filoni in Ep.6: "Hold my beer..."
*Hold my hat
The puppeteering joke had me wheezing. I absolutely adored your reactions to this one; can’t wait for the finale!!
@Sam Burns Fair point, and I honestly don't much care for it, but the sequel trilogy can burn in a fire. Just give me Din and Boba and I'll be happy.
There have been so many instances already where the sequel trilogy has been contradicted by 'The Mandalorian' + 'The Book of Boba Fett' that I doubt it's the same timeline. Heck, the sequel trilogy was so poorly managed that it managed to contradict itself multiple times.
I’m always astounded how like 6 or 7 notes from a French horn playing the force theme can invoke so many damn emotions in me… bless you Williams
@Richard Freeman SAME! I watched it multiple times in the theater, and had the soundtrack, so that music just reaches right into my heart...
Those damn strings man, I’m not crying 😭 You’re crying! 😭
The music will get me every single time when nothing else does.
@Jon Ericson That got me at the end of RotJ 40 years during the funeral pyre scene. Still gets me every time.
I was crying at the end of ROS.
He called the BD droid "buddy" last week so he's learning to love the mechanicals.
Jay’s face of devastation when Mando left was 100% also me 💔
This episode was just bonkers, in the best way.
We really owe a lot to Favreau and Filoni for constantly bringing about the unexpected.
You didn't disappoint.
this episode was a dream come true for me. ahsoka and luke meeting… i feel so fulfilled 😭❤️
I have a feeling Grogu will get both. Luke was testing his friendship with Din and I think his idea of a new Jedi Order would be not to abandon attachments because trying to choose between your loved ones and being a Jedi is what got Anakin in the first place.
Luke will let him comeback.just like he went back to Yoda.
@The RivrPrncess he would be, if he accepted the lightsaber. But he hasn't yet.
Hell, we know Hayden is around for Kenobi and Ahsoka, he should just drop by for tea ;)
I think there are some fair criticisms to make of the focus of the show in general (I think Boba deserves his own arc/story which has now been sidelined) but so much of this made me so happy. (And I get they kind of have to do this because they have to basically set up the new Academy for failure...it makes sense that Luke might try to fall back on re-emulating some ideal instead of trusting his own instincts, but it hurts to watch.)
Funny thing is , when this show started, my big hope for a cameo was Qi'ra. And here we got Ahsoka, Luke Skywalker, Cad Bane, Cobb Vanth and Artoo. Oh,and Cin Dralig ;) How many Order 66 reenactments are we up to now?
This is definitely a day of reactions, going through them all today
Have u watched it yourself? xDDD
Me toooo!
Oh, yeah. I'm hitting all of 'em.
Omg same!
I happened to wake up at 4 am, saw Twitter freaking out about this episode and immediately watched it twice. Now I've just been watching reactions ALL day
It just dawned on me that Din is now the connection we need for Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker to meet again after the whole Jabba conflict.
To see if they could work together when he needed them to, to fight the battles that- wait wrong franchise :D
Chapter 7 has gotta be everyone in Team Boba kicking some ass and being awesome
The fact that a computer is voicing Luke by putting together clips of Mark Hamill’s voice is amazing. The technology is advancing quickly, it makes the possibilities limitless as long as it’s used respectfully. We could see anyone again in Disney plus series, may the force be with us all
I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure it is actually mark
It's crazy to think that we have a serious chance of Luke and Boba running into eachother and the idea of that is awesome
Now THAT is going to be a milestone episode. Cannot wait.
This show has turned us grown ass men into lil kids again with tears of joy and excitement 😂 💙
all of us who were kids hearing luke talk about yoda is like hearing parents talk about old friends
Filoni is literally one of us. its crazy. They havent disapointed ONCE in 3 seasons so far.
@RATED Mando, Boba, and probably Ashoka are clearly all one big over-arching show with shifting focuses.
It's sort of like different chapters of one book.
@RATED Let's be real The Mandalorian and tbobf is all one big show. If they made a second spin-off for bo katan it would be this way too. For my own sanity I choose to think of it more like a tree with branches!
Dave is the chosen one
@RATED he meant the mandalorian and boba fett
Luke talking with Aunt Ashoka just melts my heart! Mando's N1 Star Fighter hotrod is so insane, perfect fit for Mando. Cad Bane is terrifying in Live Action. Cobb Vanth isn't dead yet. Think it through. . .
This episode basically brought all my childhood hopes and dreams back.
I'm 36
And I'm crying even watching this reaction
Your reactions are always so pure. And I knew I could rely on you to tell me who the gunslinger was.
Luke going around recruiting Force wielders would be SO EPIC. Maybe one padawan per episode, kinda like the Vader comics where he hunted a Jedi per issue.
The nostalgia in this episode is off the charts.
@MrE Nygma
"Agents! We've got a new case for you."
"What is it this time, chief?"
"Jawas just stole Beggar's Canyon."
"They...they what?"
"And...yes, it looks like they also just grabbed Tatooine's second sun and the concept of hyperspace."
@scienceandponies "How in the world did (low bass) Jawas get that on there??
Seriously, I loved at your comment. Gold. XD
Hahahahahaha ❤
Jawas are the Carmen Sandiego of Star Wars. They can steal anything.
Boys, I cried too. When he was carrying Grogu like he used to carry Yoda on his training. Damn.
Seeing Jay cry while Luke tells Grogu about Yoda set me off. 😭😭😭😭😭 It's good for Grogu to know there was one just like him.
This episode is the best Patreon incentive for every reactor channel, I wanna see ALL the feels!!! 😁
@Caleb Wilson - Bingo.
@Caleb Wilson Especially after last episode made a big deal out of Tar Vizla's history as both Jedi and Mandalorian
There’s a small part of me that wonders if “the Mandolorian” that the overall story about is actually Grogu, not Din.
Definitely sounds like the Winchester plan in Shawn of the Dead. Is a solid plan.
The frog fetish explains why Yoda went to Dagobah lol.
Filoni is the man. I wept so much in this ep. Lol I was a kid again. Binary Sunset brings me to tears every time. 💜💜💜
Thank you Dave Filoni ...you make me cried...and I love it! No words...just perfect! Gets better every time...
I was yelling: “ dammit Favroni!!!! Are you trying to give a 50 yr old a freakin heart attack ??? “
@Jon Ericson The NES was first time I ever shot for the moon with my Christmas list and I figured that I had 5% of getting one.
@Jon Ericson 😁
You too huh? Seriously, right down to the NES.
You are both such true, pure fans of Star Wars. Your tears brought ME to tears! Thank you Dave Filoni ❤️
Wow, what an episode, words cannot describe, so amazing, and the genuine reactions of you guys is just brilliant, cheers guys
I’ve been watching reaction videos of Ep6 since it came out, and this one HAS to be my favorite! That episode took us all right back to our childhood! Loved both of your reactions! 👊
You two just quietly crying for the better part of an hour. I love it.
Their joy brought tears to my eyes.
I cried joyful tears. This was amazing. I hope they stick the landing now.
I wanna watch all of Star Wars with these guys. They’re so genuine. ❤️👍🏼
The new actor playing Luke is just fantastic
