I'm curious that everyone is discussing how to farm equipment like its Destiny 2 or something. No one is discussing how good the story is, or the voice acting or anything. I haven't bought or played the game and that is not a good sign. Just random characters who all walk around to service the Main Player Character. Just like Fallout 4. What is the fuckin point? Is the story good? Does it make you fall in love with the characters? Is it emotional? Does the main character learn inner peace through huge loss? What makes him turn to the light side or the dark side? Do we care? Or is it Avada Kedavra all the way?
@AikoTachibana pretty sure it’s coming. They just didn’t have time to finish it before the release. There’s a ton of hints throughout the game. Just waiting for the dlc
When I obtained the ability to fly on the hippogriff and thestral I was literally in tears of joy from the excitement I was having with the whole experience. This game is a masterpiece.
Not sure if this is true for others but if you want to save your health potions you can fly away from fights and automatically heal up. The enemies health will stay the way it was before you left so you don’t need to worry about starting the fight over.
This list was really helpful! I've seen a lot of these and this one really nailed a lot of great info, especially how to assign spell slots productively! Thank you!
Fantastic video, Andy. Well worth watching a few times to take it all in. A LOT of seriously helpful information and tips - I have to wait until Friday to play but when I do I'm going to fare better than I might have done. Thanks very much once again.
Fantastic guide, these are exactly the kind of tips I was hoping to find before I get started. T minus 12 hours for me, doing my best to avoid major spoilers but the anticipation is through the roof!
Huge thankyou to you and Nika for making time to put this together. What a pair of legends you both are!!! Some really useful info here. I'm about 10 hours in to the game and I'm so hooked. Really really enjoying it. It's so immersive. Will definitely be using some of these tips tomorrow. Couldn't for the life of me work out how to open the chests with the eye ball on it.. so thanks for clearing that up. You guys rock!!!!
"And so it begins." Thanks for all your information leading up to the the release of this highly anticipated title. I look forward to your continued coverage. Nice one Andy! 🤛👏🙌🤟😉
Andy just finished the video amazing as always, very well put info. I'm definitely using the tips you mentioned. Some of the stuff are disappointing that they are locked behind stuff but it's good enough. Long live Slytherin and dark magic XD only 31 hours to go for PC
Super glad i was recommended this video. This is one of the better guides ive seen in a very long time. No click bait, no bullshit, and you hustled through it at a good pace, but also did it very thoroughly. Absolutely subscribing, and looking forward to future videos. 10 outa 10 thanks for the time and effort you put into this.
Thanks for this run-down on all the most important tips that we need to have in mind while playing. It will make playing the game less confusing and increase our engagement 👍
Another cool tip is that the crucio curse will shatter the red, yellow and purple shields so you can have another option to shatter shields quickly in combat.
Thank you so much, Andy. Even though I play on the PC and the controls are different, being aware that the mechanic exists is a huge help. Best of Luck with your channel.
I gotta say man this is a HUGE help to new players. Love the level of detail and info you put into this. Thanks again! Got a easy like and sub from me.
Great review and narration. Thank you! This is saving me a lot of game beginning fear! I won’t have to be worried about making the wrong choice and thinking it’ll affect the rest of my gameplay. 😅 I just hope being a PC player won’t give me a lack speed disadvantage in duels and battles, whatever quick decision making the game will throw my way! -God Bless 🙏🏻❤️✝️
How the heck did you have time to play through the game, enjoy it, figure it out, write explanations for this video, make the video, and more?! Wow. Well done buddy. This is proper knowledge. You’re the only KZclipr I’m following that’s covering H.L. ❤
can't wait to start playing this. I've had to avoid my usual streamers, due to them starting the game up as soon as it was available. So, videos, like these, are wonderful. Needed information without spoiling anything.
I was really hoping they would add or eventually will add in the common room where you can interact with actual other players and have side games or quests u can do together to earn loot. That would b so cool. Not too much interaction I know this is more a solo exploring game. Or option in menu u can turn it off.
OMG! Thank you!!! I didn't know you could change the looks of the gear and I was running around looking like a clown all day!!! And yes, I'm the type of person who would want to horde stuff just because I like the looks of it even if it's not practical so this helped me so much! All of these tips are super super helpful for a noob like me. Thank you so so much!
This game makes me feel like I’m playing the Witcher 3 again - just sooo overwhelming. Soooo many mechanics. Two dozen hours to even learn what I’m half-supposed to be doing. Not a bad thing, just a steep learning curve is all.
I’m not a gamer, I’ve literally never been interested in a game before so when I heard about this and looked into it I was so excited and told my husband who IS a gamer and he immediately went out and got it for me. I’m about 18 hours in and I’m not playing correctly at all but I’m absolutely obsessed and in love with it, I’m mostly exploring and marveling at everything and the game play and side quests are just things to do while I’m out exploring, lol. I’ve spent way too much time customizing my Room of Requirement my husband is just so happy to see me enjoying a game he doesn’t even tease me about it. I’m watching this because I’m sure eventually I’ll get around to taking the main objective seriously. ❤
With so many content creators stating how it takes them (or a general player in their opinion) 7-10 hours to get the broom; I can’t help but wonder if players are even taking their time to explore the world and just enjoy the game, or if they are just main-lining the story and beating the game the fastest. It took me about 15-20 hours already and I just recently got my broom and the beasts nap-sack.
Thanks for the guide! The video looks great and is super helpful as I prepare for my April release 😭🤣 So happy for you and everyone else that got early access you all deserve it after all your dedication and hard work!
@QuanSoGood They still got it a few days before the preorder early access for next gen, so I was happy they got time to do reviews and all that before official early access
All next gen owners can play it this month all old gen users which are ps4 Xbox one have to wait till April which I don’t think it’s fair but hae it is what it is
Thank you for this tips video. Looking forward to playing it tonight. I'm glad to hear it has alot of content quests, since i'm coming into this as an open world rpg fan.
Thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear other than some minor glitches it sounds like this one was in the oven long enough. I think the color coded spell placement tip is really going to help
Thanks for all the early info bro I can't wait to play tonight the core points info was great, without that info I was ready to put all my points in dark arts
I disagree with room of requirements to ignore it. I was doing exploring and side quests along the main story and moment it unlocked i could afford most of the stuff so i was growing herbs right from the start and only completed it once got beasts. So it really depends on how much you explore as exploring brings money
If I understand what I learned about the game over the past couple weeks, it appears to have a strong potential for re-playability. A new game, a different look, different abilities, different attitude, different ending (Not sure on that one) and much more. In one game you can be a goody two shoe, in the next someone like the father of he who shall not be named. It would be interesting to see if you can play a character who shows to be a lovable, caring, helpful, person, but at night throws on a disguise and goes off to give those inferior muggles and smelly half-bloods lessons they will not forget. They say - with side quests and explorations - you can play for over 40 hours. If there is good replayablity along the line of what I have mentioned, you can spend days playing. And if they ever set it up co-op (Hope I’m using the proper term) you and your friends could get together and have a weekly Hogwarts adventure. I think the salesperson of the century for this game should go to the ones who calling for a boycott. If they had kept their mouth shut, I may not have looked at this game. Can’t wait for it to come out and regular people review it and possibility some videos on game play. Then I will make my finale descion.
When you change the appearance of the clothing/gear, is it everything you’ve collected so far when you change them? Also, can you change it multiple times?
Thanks for the guide Andy! Are you able to confirm whether your wand choice has any impact on gameplay, as it seems to imply that different cores do different things, or are those choices purely cosmetic?
I plan on playing this and then playing lightfall once it comes out so I'm really happy to see that the colors for Rarity of gear match destiny 2 so I'm not confused when light fall comes out lmao
Is there any way to upgrade gear to your current level? I've gotten a few pieces of legendary gear early and my blues are now dropping higher than my oranges. Did I screw up by getting these early or will I be able to enhance them to my current level at some point?
I'm at level 22 and about 18 hours in... and I still haven't unlocked the ability to even use Talent Points yet... Lol. This is because I've not gotten far enough in the main story quests, I've just been doing side quests and done tons of exploring ( in Hogwartz and Hogsmead), and I've found 83% of all Field Guide pages (which are the fastest way to level up early on) Lol I'm going to have 17+ points to spend when I've gained the ability to use them 😀
so just to be sure, you dont have to be a Hufflepuff for example to have Poppy as a companion? I always thought you could only have the companion from your own house?
I absolutely love that they let you change the appearance of your gear... sometimes you get a really great item... but OMG is it ugly... but presto chango and its just what you like. Who doesn't love that?
I checked that and the assignments they gave me carried through chapter 1 to chapter 2 (almost chapter 3) when I decided to finally do them to get more spells. So unless I’m missing something it doesn’t seem like it
An essential video as I have to wait for Amazon to mail my game on the 10th of the month! I will be reviewing this many times while I await the game. Thanks so much!
I hope this guide helps you out & I'm really keen to hear what you think of it so far, share your thoughts below 👍🏻

just because there are robes, it doesn't mean you can get away without wearing pants. unless you're going for all the achievements.
Welcome to Hogwarts
So dont explore till you get the broom?
@AndyReloads thankee
Feels overwhelming in a good way, so much to do and learn. 😂
@AikoTachibana pretty sure it’s coming. They just didn’t have time to finish it before the release. There’s a ton of hints throughout the game. Just waiting for the dlc
Except for quidditch lol
Loving the Dark arts gear .
Welcome to Hogwarts 😂😂
@Mc Chicken bc he probably doesn’t have the game yet 😂
When I obtained the ability to fly on the hippogriff and thestral I was literally in tears of joy from the excitement I was having with the whole experience. This game is a masterpiece.

thank you for actually giving tips and not repeating yourself over and over in the video, we all appreciate a straight to the point video!
Well done Andy 😀
Very well put together guide and full of vital information as always.
Finally a video that promises useful tips and *actually* gives useful tips!!Thank you, mate!💚
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Ok,mate.🤣

@djfluid good for y’all

Are you not on Xbox? If you are, just set your location to New Zealand. You can already play
Huge thankyou to you and Nika for making time to put this together. What a pair of legends you both are!!! Some really useful info here. I'm about 10 hours in to the game and I'm so hooked. Really really enjoying it. It's so immersive.

Long live Slytherin and dark magic!
I'm extremely surprised at how immersive the game is. This is 100% not a flop. Can't wait for additions and dlc in the future
Super glad i was recommended this video. This is one of the better guides ive seen in a very long time. Super valuable practical tips, thanks Andy! I'm so ready to become a knowledge-seeking Ravenclaw, which starts w a little light reloads watching.
Thanks for this run-down on all the most important tips that we need to have in mind while playing. It will make playing the game less confusing and increase our engagement 👍
Another cool tip is that the crucio curse will shatter the red, yellow and purple shields so you can have another option to shatter shields quickly in combat.
I’m so glad I found your channel. Your videos have been amazing and I’m even more excited to play tonight!! Work can not go by fast enough 😭
Wow, I have just recently subscribed to you Andy. Your guides and how you explain in detail throughout is just amazing. Thank you
Thank you so much, Andy. Even though I play on the PC and the controls are different, being aware that the mechanic exists is a huge help. Best of Luck with your channel.

Super excited for this Andy!! Can't wait to get my own hands on it!

1 DAY LEFT 🎉 thanks so much Andy, I can’t tell you how excited I am! Great vid as always, hands down the best HL creator
10:49 I appreciate that the "wand movement" diagram for Avada Kedavra is a lightning bolt... identical to Harry's scar :)
Thanks for the guide! The video looks great and is super helpful as I prepare for my April release 😭🤣 So happy for you and everyone else that got early access you all deserve it after all your dedication and hard work!

incredible video mate! helped clear up a few things, i keep getting ahead of myself and i’m not far enough in the story for most things i want haha
Thanks for the tips I’m currently goin through the longass into hall ! Excellent so far ! Can’t stop playing ! Long live New Zealand.
IYKYK
Like how you get right into it. Very informative. Well done sir 👍
Awesome guide! So excited to play this game!!!
Thanks for the tips. Regarding gear chests, should you wait till you are at a higher level to open? Or it does not matter at all ?
Man! that side walk towards the end after flinging the sword/dagger was cold lol
Keep it coming plz, got yourself a new subscriber :)
Thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear other than some minor glitches it sounds like this one was in the oven long enough. I think the color coded spell placement tip is really going to help
Great tip for the diamond spells, would have never thought of that! Thanks!
Thanks for all the early info bro I can't wait to play tonight the core points info was great, without that info I was ready to put all my points in dark arts
I've been hoarding gear that I like since I started playing it, so glad to know there is an appearance change available.
Love your videos brother!! Keep up the good content!!!
That’s insane, cause I‘m on 65 hours right now and I’m only gonna do the third trial 🤯 I guess I‘ve been exploring a lot
I’m 3 short hours in, and this video is going to save me a lot of trouble! Thank ya kindly!
Thank you! I wasn't sure how to increase my gear slots so it is appreciated!
I disagree with room of requirements to ignore it. I was doing exploring and side quests along the main story and moment it unlocked i could afford most of the stuff so i was growing herbs right from the start and only completed it once got beasts. So it really depends on how much you explore as exploring brings money
Great video Andy. Very informative. Look forward to see your other video!
Can't wait to get started this game looks so awesome an I know it's gonna be alot of fun one day to go an i can start playing:)
At first I hated the gear system but it was simply cuz I didn’t understand it. Now I actually love it!

Never watched the movies, never read the books but, this game is amazing.
Just subbed ✨
Thanks for the tips! I get to play in 30 mins & I’m SO excited
I love how dark everything is. So detailed.......
Does the house I choose affect majorly the story? Are some parts/spells locked for some houses?
Loved this 🙏🏻👍🏻big help thanks man 😄. Great content very explanatory
#teamearly Looking forward for diving into this game tomorrow
When you change the appearance of the clothing/gear, is it everything you’ve collected so far when you change them? Also, can you change it multiple times?
Thank you so much for this review and tips!!
This feels a lot like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla & Odyssey, but magic-themed
When Andy brings out the hood reference. Thanks Andy. Can't wait to play this a little later today
Great video! Can’t wait to play!!!
Omg the D pad to switch maps tip is a game changer. Thank you!
I’m level 21, and just now found out about the eye chest due to this video
Unreal level of detail in this video. Thanks
I spent A LOT of time finding and doing everything I could. I was lvl 12 before I went to to the town at the beginning of the game.
This was really helpful!! Thank you!
So helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for the guide Andy! Are you able to confirm whether your wand choice has any impact on gameplay, as it seems to imply that different cores do different things, or are those choices purely cosmetic?
purely cosmetic and lore based mate, you can customise it to start with and then change the handle cosmetically (different skins) throughout the game
The advice is much appreciated! It’ll be awhile before I can play the game (PS5s aren’t available in my region yet), but I’m looking forward to it.
I plan on playing this and then playing lightfall once it comes out so I'm really happy to see that the colors for Rarity of gear match destiny 2 so I'm not confused when light fall comes out lmao
Thanks for the video! Very good info and tips. Will start my adventure ASAP.
Is there any way to upgrade gear to your current level? I've gotten a few pieces of legendary gear early and my blues are now dropping higher than my oranges. Did I screw up by getting these early or will I be able to enhance them to my current level at some point?
This game sounds… M A S S I V E
I can’t wait
Very awesome guide and many useful tips! Liked and subbed! Now…just waiting for the game to unlock tonight.
this is my kind of game, finish story THEN explore
great video! the game look really amazing 😊
I'm at level 22 and about 18 hours in... and I still haven't unlocked the ability to even use Talent Points yet... Lol. This is because I've not gotten far enough in the main story quests, I've just been doing side quests and done tons of exploring ( in Hogwartz and Hogsmead), and I've found 83% of all Field Guide pages (which are the fastest way to level up early on) Lol I'm going to have 17+ points to spend when I've gained the ability to use them 😀
So excited! Let's go Slytherins!
Thanks, love youre video.s , i will use the tips tomorrow when i start the game❤
Super informative man🙏🏽
Very helpful video. Thank you 😊
What are the negative effects of using unforgivable curses?
17 more hours, can't wait!!
This get me even more hype. Thank you,
Can’t wait to play tonight!!
so just to be sure, you dont have to be a Hufflepuff for example to have Poppy as a companion? I always thought you could only have the companion from your own house?
I absolutely love that they let you change the appearance of your gear... sometimes you get a really great item... but OMG is it ugly... but presto chango and its just what you like. Who doesn't love that?
Wanted to ask if side quests also disappear with the main quest progression like they said some classes would ? I want to do all side quests :D
I'm ready for my Gryffindor home room!!
Wishing I would have watched this earlier. I have yet to learn any cursed magic and just hit 33.
I foresee a "Hogwarts Legacy is a perfectly balanced game " coming from a certain brit this week :D
Do i have to say it again 😂 great content once more mate happy you got the early access and were invited to the event 🎉 what i told you 2 years ago 😜
