I swear the bridge in jealousy jealousy is gonna be an absolute bop at concerts. It was pretty much made to be screamed by fans and the "happier, prettier, jealousy, jealousy" line is gonna be amazing.
@loona makes me go OH MY GOD YESS aw no! I was just about able to go my mum had to buy overpriced second hand tickets off eBay bc they sold out so fast then I had to fly to London from Northern Ireland just to go to the concert. Hopefully u can get tickets to her next if she has one
everytime y'all say 'that's a fucked up lyric' i could not stop laughing lol i love how deep you guys got into each song, this may be my favorite reaction to her album. i'm glad to see the love for 1 step forward, 3 step backs, unfortunately a lot of people underrate it so much! i think its brilliant the way she took such an amazing song already and made it her own somehow, and still made it sound good.
I get the fact that Olivia will be looked at through the Taylor lenses, but can we give Olivia the props for coming out with this album at 18 years old. Cmon. Let’s look at Olivia as Olivia, not only Taylor’s stan.
@Chats & Reacts Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff helped her to write 1 step forward, 3 steps back. I think that you should go and react to Haiz-which is Hailee Steinfeld's first album
@Martyna Cysia how are they saying she shouldn’t get that hype. Again I see a lot of people taking away from her to boost Taylor….. but they aren’t, so why make this comment against them?!
Olivia has said that "hope ur ok" is the closer because she wanted to acknowledge that despite the heartbreak shes experienced, many lgbtq+ people she grew up with never got to experience any of the good parts of young love and she wanted to reach out to them. It's really sweet. Especially bookended by brutal, since she addresses the hardships of gen-z's youth in both songs.
@Chung Leanne yes, i took it to mean she was implying that he as abused because he was gay ("his parents cared more about the bible than being good to their own child")
Emily is the funniest person ever when olivia said “wish you would’ve thought this through before I went and fell in love with you” and Emily goes “I agree josh you should’ve thought about this” 😂
The way neither of them got that "hope ur okay" was about homophobia made me wonder how different it is where they live...as a queer American this song got me right from the beginning and it means so much to me
@Chung Leanne Well because of the line "His parents cared more about the bible Than being good to their child" I think that while yes it is about abuse, it's about being abused specifically because of being LGBT.
Yeah I’m also a queer American and I picked up on it too. One of my good friends is Australian and we actually talked about this. She said how it’s not that being queer isn’t accepted, it just that it’s not as talked about there. The conversation about being queer is growing to become more prominent in America and the topic isn’t as widely talked about there

Your conversation over "1 step forward 3 steps back" was so impressive , deep, structured, comparative and comprehensive that it made me freaking reconsider aspects of my own dissertation! This has nothing to do with what I am writing, but the way you addressed the song was EPIC. You both are magnificent. You don't just say "wow, damn, I love this, it hits home, etc." You actually dive in, pick something and run with it. I love you both! Thanks for the great video!
I was a camp counselor this summer and the amount of middle schoolers and elementary schoolers who were screaming these songs with so much passion had me thinking "who hurt yall" especially Good 4 You.
I'm surprised that you guys didn't get the Cruel Summer vibe. When Olivia yells "I know you get Deja Vu" totally sounds like "He looks up grinning like a devil, it's new". Something felt familiar the first time I heard Deja Vu but I didn't realize until I happened to listen to Lover a couple days after. I HAD to see if it was just me and noticed other swifties pointing it out. Swifties were taking about it so much that Olivia had to give Taylor and the other co-writers of Cruel Summer credit for it.
Olivia Rodrigo is the artist I wish I had at that age 20+ years ago. Grateful that teens nowadays have an artist like her. Just gonna go sit in my little corner and listen to Sour on repeat so I can try and process all that angst again.
I’m glad I have Sour at 40 as it is wonderful music for these times. It is timeless music, but it is nice to hear with all these years of experiences as an adult just as many teens are hearing Sour now.
She has at least 5 Grammy nominations on lock. Pop Vocal Album, Pop Solo, BNA, ROTY, SOTY. AOTY is within reach depending on how well the full set holds up for the rest of the year. I would be SHOCKED if she misses any of the first five though.
I feel like Olivia has very unique lyrics. Like she pulls inspiration from other artists and that’s just a fact. But the way the she mixes those themes and ways of singing makes her as an individual singer/songwriter very good.
almost 2 years late, but i think "hope ur ok" was the closer for the album because she's essentially trying to say that even though she's going through emotional heartbreak, there are people with other situations that are way worse than hers. the scale of emotional endurance that they had to go through would be 10x harder to do than Olivia's situation. it really humanises her and adds relatability to her experience too. she's saying that she will be ok herself, but she hopes for the same to those around her.
I love how interesting favorite crime is because she was under-age during all or at least the majority of their relationship, and so it makes it so much more hard hitting to think that part of the lyrics could be talking about how he may have used her because he knew he was older, and “more experienced” then her. It really makes me feel for Olivia because we see through this album it was an emotionally damaging relationship but who knows it could have even been abusive physically and maybe even sexually
📍TIMESTAMPS: 5:05 brutal 14:45 traitor 21:54 drivers license 22:22 1 step forward, 3 steps back 30:11 deja vu 35:11 good 4 u 44:29 enough for you 50:57 happier 54:43 jealousy, jealousy 59:07 favorite crime 1:02:16 hope ur ok
I love this entire album. Each song is its own masterpiece and it forced me to re-evaluatey first love who I never realized was so toxic and manipulative towards me. I put him on such a peddlestool I never saw it, even 6 years after the relationship died.
fun fact: driver’s license was her first song which started with a sound of a car being started & her last song in the album- hope ur ok ended with the sound of a car being stopped (you can listen it if you hear carefully)
What I love about this is the fact that her songs kind of open you up and lower your guard then invade with the truth, although it seems, pun intended, brutal, I think it works pretty well, and people love it because it's so relatable
“Enough For You” is the only song on the album she wrote completely on her own which just makes it so much more vulnerable. And her producer was hesitant to put “Brutal” on the album so it was a last minute addition but pretty much everyone loves it!
this is the first video i watched from you guys and i absolutely loved it. i was a bit scared about the time length but it passed super fast and i felt like i was just talking about the album with my friends. you seem like you really don't care about the camera and it feels super natural! i'll definetly watch your taylor videos 🥰
I love that they recorded this reaction like this. It’s so cool to watch people hear songs for the first time. Also, knowing what’s coming and just waiting like, “Oh if you like that just wait like twenty seconds, it gets even better.”
This was THE best reaction I saw about Sour so far. I love how you pay attention to every aspect of the song, not only the melody or the lyrics but also the context them were created! You both understand each other so much that's kinda insane (in a good way) to watch you both talk...there's no need to explain anything 'cause you just know what the other meant to say. Keep up with the great job! Lot's of hugs💕🇧🇷
someone from tiktok had a theory why this album called Sour is because not a single song from this album is love or happy song. the theory is she will release a sister album and she will call it "Sweet" that only contains love and happy songs. The easter egg was from the pr package she sent out that has Sweet and Sour patches on it.
@jane carla a. she said she named it sour because every song expressed a sour feeling (not pleasant), including being jealous, toxic, sad, regretful, petty, heartbroken, angry... etc and not necessary related to a romantic relationship.
But once she said she wanted to create a song called sour and ended up calling the album sour because it fits the songs well and she thought it sounds cool
i love "hope ur ok" because not only does it discuss homophobia/queer youth (which i always appreciate in a song being as i have been out since i was 11) but when she says "i hope you know how proud i am you were created with the courage to unlearn all of their hatred" shes saying "you're not your parents, just because they believe something doesn't make YOU a bad person" and that is a message i, as well as many other people I'm sure, definitely need from time to time. When i hear the second verse talking about olivia's middle school friend and how her parents "hated who she loved" I absolutely lose it cause even tho I wasn't alone, my parents were home a lot, their gay jokes/bigotry made me feel so freaking isolated, to the point where i didn't come out till i was 18 (and that was on accident lmao) that song really speaks to me on multiple levels.
I absolutely loved the you you analyzed the entire album: lyrics’ meaning, similarities between her music and others, the various emotions she expresses and most - SUPPORT AND APPRECIATION!! I think it’s important to encourage her to keep up with the good work because she has really great chances of winning anything and everything!!! :) Also, adore that you two are a perfect match ❤️
i love olivia and this album so much, she just proved that she’s here to fucking stay, she's truly amazing and she has a brilliant future ahead her, can't wait to see that as well... now let's all pray that the next reaction will be 1989 taylor's version like the rumors that are going on around..................
I love how you guys are being so insightful with every song and pay attention to the lyrics, production, vocals, backing vocals, layering, harmonies of songs.
My favorite song on this album is traitor!!! The theme of betrayal and how devastating it is to feel unimportant or almost like it didn’t even matter to the other person just gutted me😭 And I love a song that makes me ugly cry 😌
So.. at the Britz awards she gave everyone LETTERS with “hope ur ok” written on it Her butterfly wings represent everyone that helped her grow (like from a caterpillar to a butterfly) And the “hope ur ok” letters are for the holes in her butterfly wings.. the holes being the people who weren’t/aren’t doing that well Got me f’ed up
I loved "hope ur okay" its my favorite song on the album because I was in similar situations to the song, and when i first heard it i was in a lot of stuff with family and now i'm okay but when i first heard it i wasnt and i cried and it made me so happy at that moment to know that someone actually caried, and the person i was living with was abuseive and it was hard to deal with.. and this song helped me so much. Also loved your reaction so much. ❤
I love how you guys are constantly talking over each other but it's in a way that finishes each others sentences/thoughts and for some reason I find it really funny but fun to listen to. Both of you are really pretty too!
underrated line in jealousy, jealousy: when she says “beauty is not what i lack” she’s recognizing that she is the beauty standard and she’s not trying to hide that and i’ve never seen someone do that before
"Their beauty is not my lack..." Y'all forgot that this lyric is followed by: "But it feels like the weight is on my back." It doesn't mean that she's recognizing herself as the beauty standard. It means that she's beautiful like all those other girls out there, but she still feels insecure. Remember Regina George from Mean Girls? She acts like she's the boss around the Plastics; but when they were at her own house, when they were standing in front of the mirror, she said that she got manly shoulders and that her pores were huge. See? Even the girls who doesn't lack beauty can feel insecure at times. Especially, celebrities like Olivia. She's beautiful like all the other girls in the industry, but she's still jealous of some of them. And that's just life-reality. You can never be "not jealous" of anyone better than you. Because there's always going to be someone who's better. That, what I think, is what the lyrics pertain to.
The lyric is "Their beauty's not my lack, but I feel like that weight is on my back" It suggests that their possession of beauty does not inherently mean that she lacks beauty herself but she still feels as though she needs to look like them to feel good about herself. If your pointing out your insecurities you probably dont consider yourself to be the standard. Though we may see she is a beautiful girl, she is consumed with her perception of her flaws. So I would have to disagree with Op but music is always up for interpretation
she actually says "i know THEIR beauty is not MY lack" and has explained that it's sort of tapping into the idea that their plenty of success and beauty to go around, and that their achievement or looks don't take away from her own !
Olivia made me appreciate music and the reason why I listen to Taylor swift is because of her! she made me look at music with a new perspective and now I do listen to lyrics carefully and interpret my thoughts and try to find what it means. I love her.
I definitely liked the second part of the album more. It just hit more and hit harder for me. But, one of the first songs of her that really got me into her just because it got stuck in my head, I could remember it, and I could sing it with no emotion at all like quietly under my breath or scream it out at the top of my lungs was traitor. It was not the best lyrically and it wasn’t the first one that got me into her but when I listened to her album this one stuck in my head. I think that’s what great about Olivia, her songs are all incredible, some in more and other ways than others, but it’s really depending on the person and their preferences and experiences that make a song be their favorite. It’s really a cool thing with this album too. I always thought that hope ur ok was about her ex and her ex’s girlfriend (I think it’s josh and Sabrina) since it does sound like that for me, she also used to be friends with Sabrina so yeah. But I love the perspective you guys used and think it makes a lot of sense. Love the reaction
Guys I love your videos way too much 💗 I also wanna point out that the rawness of this album is soooooo reminiscent of a first love. Being that Olivia was 17 when she wrote this, we all remember the intoxication of our first love and the way that it hurt when that first love ended. This album transports me back to those feelings, and I have to give her credit for that. Even though the lyrics seem “immature” at some points with how she’s handling situations or emotions, we’ve all been there. She’s done an excellent job at making me relieve my first break up 😅😂
i discovered the song traitor for myself when what she describes literally happened to me. my ex literally started something with a mutual very good friend (with whom we had lived together for 3 years in the past) 2 weeks after we split for good. and behind my back :) :) :) havent talked to either of them for 6 months now. they were two of my very best friends in the world, so yeah, the words "betrayal" and "traitors" really hit home for me there lol
This is my favorite reaction to this album so far. Lots of attention to the lyrical excellence and some pretty darn good insights regarding song construction and production as well. And your interaction with each other is the kind you only have with a really good friend ... it's a real conversation, not a performance. Well done!
passively listening to this while coloring and felt stumped when listening to "Enough For You". It sounded familiar, musically, to me. I just figured it out! Maybe I'm crazy, but the it sonically sounds like Safe and Sound to me! One of my faves!
All us Liv fans have a theory that her new album (that she has confirmed she is making and working on) is going to be called ‘SWEET’ there have been loads of hints on Twitter, she chose sour patch kids to sponsor the playlist and there slogan is “SOUR then SWEET” and her alternate ‘SOUR’ cover is literally her surrounded by cake so possibly the ‘SWEET’ album if it is called Sweet could be surrounded by sour foods?? either way it’s a good theory and it’s going to be a happier playlist and include a lot of her songs that are on Instagram that’s all we know :)
olivia is such a good singer and songwriter, i really love her and her music and think she deserves all the success and love she's received in last couple of months. and i wish people would stop using "oh, but she only sings and writes about breakups and her ex" as a way of putting her down and saying she's not worthy of the success she already has. it bothers me because it's the same thing people and the media did with taylor, they were always trying to say she wasn't that good and worthy of the success because she "only sings about breakups and her exes", when men sing about their past relationships and exes everyone loves it and i never see people, or the media, criticizing them for it. it's 2021, we should accept that we all have internalized misogyny and work on that and stop projecting that on women, especially on a teenager like olivia.
She said it’s called sour because it’s about the souring of a romantic relationship and also your relationship with yourself. She said growing up she was so confident in herself and then after that first heartbreak, she suddenly had all these doubts and questioned her self-worth. That first kind of rejection is one of the most unpleasant shocks of adulthood - that someone who knew you so intimately could revert back to being a complete stranger. And so she said a lot of self-doubt crept in and she felt her relationship with herself souring. She also said she wanted to play on the idea that she’s dealing with emotions that girls are usually kinda looked down upon for feeling. Like jealousy, spite, rage. We are made to feel like it’s childish and cringey to feel as intensely as we do if a guy has cheated or something, and are made fun of for it. She’s embracing those emotions and the fact that she’s sour unapologetically💞💞
Omg I love this reaction! I love how much you guys actually talk about this album because I can tell you know a lot about songs so that also gives a deeper meaning. I was like low key crying when you said traitor was your least favourite. But everyone has their opinions! I just found you channel and I just subbed. Btw you guys are really funny! Have a great day. 😀
28:14 ok but just imagine: it's Olivia's concert and she performs this song but instead of the second verse starting, Taylor comes out on the stage and continues singing New year's day and they finish the song doing a duet. That would be awesome
Living for this brutal is such a vibe I love happier too She’s such an amazing song writer, I hate comparing her to Taylor but the way she writes is big Taylor vibes
Y'all should react to Sour Prom! I'd be very interested in hearing your reactions to her singing these songs live, and the medley in the beginning. It's awesome.
I have never been in a relationship but 1 step closer and 3 steps back is relatable and i interpret it differently but the "but this rollercoaster is all i've ever had" is the one that stood out to me,to me it means this relationship is all i know so i would get lost without it.
i love how taylor took her under her wing and has literally been a second mom to her & sent her and conan some songs before releasing them like??? I LOVE HER AND TAYLOR BYE

as I was watching this video I felt like home with my friends talking about Sour e being happy. I've never seen something like this before. thanks for this.
I absolutely love you guys. Your friendship and humor is amazing. Your music taste is the best. Im another swiftie who love artists who write their own music. Avril Lavigne was another good 90s ..Can we get 1989 breakdown??
I really enjoyed your reaction to the album!! Are you ladies musicians? You both are super insightful when it comes to lyricism and music production. I’m not even a swiftie, but you just got yourselves a new sub! ☺️ xx
I loved this breakdown and actually hadn't listened to the album before this video, I feel like Olivia is also drawing on 'lesser known' indie artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Fenne Lily, Julia Jacklin etc. Would love for you to listen/react to Phoebe Bridgers! x
FUN FACT olivia actually didn't technically sample new year's day, it was interpolated in 1step forward 3 steps back which means that's it's olivia playing the piano on the track to the same melody of new year's day but it's tweaked a bit THIS MEANS that she's not using the sample directly from the rep album (which would give money and credits to taylor's old label) but instead it gives credit directly to taylor since she hasn't re-recorded rep yet! what a fucking power move by olivia
1:51-1:54 She's NOT putting ONLY covers on Instagram. (MOSTLY, they are her own songs. I would be SO PROUD if she's going to release them in the future cause every single one is AMAZING) Also, thanks to Olivia for making this FUCKING MASTERPIECE of her DEBIUT ALBUM. It changed my 2021 forever. Her ongoing tour is SO GOOD And she didn't sample "New Year's Day" on "1 step forward, 3 steps back", cause she played the whole thing on the piano
I loved this reaction, I loved how you broke down each song and really listened to the lyrics and how the songs were produced. You should react to other pop albums. I would love to see you react to ariana grande she writes and produces her own music and a lot of her songs talk about mental health and come from the heart.
This is the video I NEEDED. When I first heard "good 4 u" it immediately gave me "Mr. Perfectly Fine" vibes, and when I first listened to Sour... the Taylor Swift connection/similar vibe was u n d e n i a b l e. Which is wild because the recent rerelease of Fearless just so p e r f e c t l y goes with this album URGH. 💗 also OMG I was so sure I had heard a song before with a similar vibe to "Deja Vu" and I finally googled it and figured it out and its "WANT U BACK" by CHER LLOYD plz see below-- Remember all the things that you and I did first? And now you're doing them with her Remember all the things that you and I did first? You got me, got me like this (Uh!) And now you're taking her to every restaurant? And everywhere we went, come on! And now you're taking her to every restaurant? You got me, got me like this (Uh!) In case anyone else was trying to figure out what song they were reminded of when they heard "Deja Vu" -- ur welcome xoxo
Can we talk about the dog that just stares waiting for pets so patiently ? That was so cute. Love the dog ! For the album , I liked it. It was bringing back 90 themes that was nostalgic. Josh and Olivia still work together on their HSM Disney series as a couple and that must be incredibly awkward after this album release and josh being with Sabrina.
The reason happier probably sounds familiar is this one that Olivia wrote and posted to Instagram playing her guitar. I heard it was also the song that made her producer, Dan Nigro, want to work with her :)
I swear the bridge in jealousy jealousy is gonna be an absolute bop at concerts. It was pretty much made to be screamed by fans and the "happier, prettier, jealousy, jealousy" line is gonna be amazing.
also ghost writing is very popular!
i went to her concert and yea, it was amazing!!!!
it was it was 100% a bop
@loona makes me go OH MY GOD YESS aw no! I was just about able to go my mum had to buy overpriced second hand tickets off eBay bc they sold out so fast then I had to fly to London from Northern Ireland just to go to the concert. Hopefully u can get tickets to her next if she has one

1 step forward 3 steps back is my favorite song from the whole album 😆
Love me some 2 steps back

idk what youre talking about. they literally praised her songwriting.
YAS THANK YOU
I think actually you guys should stop comparing taylor to olivia calling olivia the next taylor and all that. It's annoying.
Olivia, Sabrina and Joshua are literally the folklore love triangle
Olivia has said that "hope ur ok" is the closer because she wanted to acknowledge that despite the heartbreak shes experienced, many lgbtq+ people she grew up with never got to experience any of the good parts of young love and she wanted to reach out to them. It's really sweet. Especially bookended by brutal, since she addresses the hardships of gen-z's youth in both songs.
@Chicken Noodle Soup it might have been in the thing she did for disney+? i remember hearing her explain the song
@Jon Hudson Can you send me the link to where she said that?
@Chung Leanne yes, i took it to mean she was implying that he as abused because he was gay ("his parents cared more about the bible than being good to their own child")
the first verse was about abuse though
Me reading the title: "Oh cool, a reaction by swifties"
Me watching the video: "Okay wait these are REAL swifties. The Taylor knowledge is UNMATCHED."

That's one of my favorite lyrics in anything ever.

The way neither of them got that "hope ur okay" was about homophobia made me wonder how different it is where they live...as a queer American this song got me right from the beginning and it means so much to me
@Chung Leanneit’s about LGBTQ+. He was abused bc he was gay
As a gay guy non biney guy, I didn'r even got it was about homophobia -
@Chung Leanne Well because of the line "His parents cared more about the bible Than being good to their child" I think that while yes it is about abuse, it's about being abused specifically because of being LGBT.
i thjnk its just about being accepted since the first verse was about abuse
Yeah I’m also a queer American and I picked up on it too. One of my good friends is Australian and we actually talked about this. She said how it’s not that being queer isn’t accepted, it just that it’s not as talked about there. The conversation about being queer is growing to become more prominent in America and the topic isn’t as widely talked about there

I would be SHOCKED if she misses any of the first five though.
this comment aged well 👏
I feel like Olivia has very unique lyrics.

Thanks🐐
thank yooooou
Your a life saver :)
@Luis Francisco ah that makes sense *lol*
I love this entire album. Each song is its own masterpiece and it forced me to re-evaluatey first love who I never realized was so toxic and manipulative towards me. I put him on such a peddlestool I never saw it, even 6 years after the relationship died.
I love how everyone's saying that enough for you is the most impressive lyrically because she wrote it all by herself 🥺
fun fact: driver’s license was her first song which started with a sound of a car being started & her last song in the album- hope ur ok ended with the sound of a car being stopped (you can listen it if you hear carefully)
this is like the MOST obsessed album and ngl i can’t even stop listening to it. i really love the way olivia express all of her emotions to the songs
The whole album is written by her
@Tiara i know that, i said that.
@Amora Isonguyo and also 1 step forward and 3 steps back, the reason why taylor was credited because she sampled new year's day by taylor
@TROUVAILLE happier was soley written by her, it was a song she written before she met Dan Nigro (her producer ) . It's on the song credits
She also wrote favorite crime on her own
And now she’s nominated for 7 Grammys 🔥🦋
this is the first video i watched from you guys and i absolutely loved it. i was a bit scared about the time length but it passed super fast and i felt like i was just talking about the album with my friends.
you seem like you really don't care about the camera and it feels super natural! i'll definetly watch your taylor videos 🥰
This is exactly what l would write. I found this video now and I would definitely watch the Taylor albums' reactions
I love All I Want as well. First time I heard it was before she's famous and I was already captivated by her vocal and songwriting.
someone from tiktok had a theory why this album called Sour is because not a single song from this album is love or happy song. the theory is she will release a sister album and she will call it "Sweet" that only contains love and happy songs. The easter egg was from the pr package she sent out that has Sweet and Sour patches on it.
@Chats & Reacts i wished you guys had posted your reaction to driver's license
I CANT WAIT. If that would happen that is. Can't wait for "sweet" if the theory comes true. If not we'll, atleast we tried.
Olivia said it was about how a relationship can be so perfect and sweet and then still turn out sour. I know I’m late but she said it in an interview!
@jane carla a. she said she named it sour because every song expressed a sour feeling (not pleasant), including being jealous, toxic, sad, regretful, petty, heartbroken, angry... etc
and not necessary related to a romantic relationship.
When i hear the second verse talking about olivia's middle school friend and how her parents "hated who she loved" I absolutely lose it cause even tho I wasn't alone, my parents were home a lot, their gay jokes/bigotry made me feel so freaking isolated, to the point where i didn't come out till i was 18 (and that was on accident lmao) that song really speaks to me on multiple levels.
this album gives me goosebumps like the lyrics are incredible so good at portraying emotions
RIGHTTT
i love how “hope ur ok” ends with car sounds just like how drivers license begins with them
Yes
I absolutely loved the you you analyzed the entire album: lyrics’ meaning, similarities between her music and others, the various emotions she expresses and most - SUPPORT AND APPRECIATION!! I think it’s important to encourage her to keep up with the good work because she has really great chances of winning anything and everything!!! :) Also, adore that you two are a perfect match ❤️
Omg I love that you brought up 21st Century Girls! It’s my favorite unreleased song and I really hope it’s one her next album
i love olivia and this album so much, she just proved that she’s here to fucking stay, she's truly amazing and she has a brilliant future ahead her, can't wait to see that as well... now let's all pray that the next reaction will be 1989 taylor's version like the rumors that are going on around..................
sou muito feliz por estar conseguindo entender isso sem legendas
I love how you guys are being so insightful with every song and pay attention to the lyrics, production, vocals, backing vocals, layering, harmonies of songs.
I wish everyone would understand that the album isn’t all about josh and Sabrina, she wrote some of these songs when she was younger. Love you guys !
I believe Olivia’s favorite Taylor album is Speak Now :)
My favorite song on this album is traitor!!! The theme of betrayal and how devastating it is to feel unimportant or almost like it didn’t even matter to the other person just gutted me😭 And I love a song that makes me ugly cry 😌
So..
at the Britz awards she gave everyone LETTERS with “hope ur ok” written on it
Her butterfly wings represent everyone that helped her grow (like from a caterpillar to a butterfly)
And the “hope ur ok” letters are for the holes in her butterfly wings.. the holes being the people who weren’t/aren’t doing that well
Got me f’ed up
@Kecy M. I know 🥲 I means nothing. I was wrong 😂 my theory is bs 😂😂
uhhh
@Anah Patel haha yes like Vanessa Hudgens mixed with Lily Collins?
I'm sorry I don't know her name, but the one in the blue blouse looks like Vanessa Hudgens! Doesn't she?
Hope ur okay is the most beautiful song she ever made, the bridge is so beautiful as if you're lifted to heaven
she said in an interview that "hope he took his bad deal and made a royal flush" from hope ur ok was one of her favourite lyrics on the album
hands down some of the best songwriting i've ever seen from a 15-17 year old in recent years
I love how you guys are constantly talking over each other but it's in a way that finishes each others sentences/thoughts and for some reason I find it really funny but fun to listen to.
You misunderstood that so hard
What did you think the lyric was before? Just wondering lol
I love her.
Y’all have made me love this album even more.😭
when they said enough for you is one of the most beautifully written song in the album, boy i couldn't agree enough. i love that we think the same.
As visualizações do vídeo sobre a Olivia é superior demais ❤
Love the reaction
she's already a powerhouse and she JUST DEBUTED!
imagine her numbers and charts sales in a few years. it will be crazy
@Poppy Is My Metal Queen ong
But there might be a lot of pressure 4 her 2 make her sophomore album better than this coz... you know what I mean, it's one hell of a debut album
she's already breaking records omg
Idk I feel like she'll have hard time writing songs in a few years...
WHEN SHE'S PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.
I can’t believe I thought Drivers License was going to be the best song and then she served us this album😍
Guys I love your videos way too much 💗
I also wanna point out that the rawness of this album is soooooo reminiscent of a first love. She’s done an excellent job at making me relieve my first break up 😅😂
brutal is a work of art, it has the 90's punk vibe but the lyrics couldn't be more gen Z
i really love how y’all stop and analyze everything because i feel like i’m discussing it with someone who’s as obsessed as me haha much love 💕💕💕
i discovered the song traitor for myself when what she describes literally happened to me. my ex literally started something with a mutual very good friend (with whom we had lived together for 3 years in the past) 2 weeks after we split for good. and behind my back :) :) :) havent talked to either of them for 6 months now. they were two of my very best friends in the world, so yeah, the words "betrayal" and "traitors" really hit home for me there lol
This is my favorite reaction to this album so far. Lots of attention to the lyrical excellence and some pretty darn good insights regarding song construction and production as well. And your interaction with each other is the kind you only have with a really good friend ... it's a real conversation, not a performance. Well done!
@陈 兰 英 - Chen Lán Yīng The Louvre by Lorde
@Chats & Reacts 1:02:55 what song were you thinking Bonnie ? Sorry, i didn't heard it
Thank you! 🥰
I love the last song "hope ur ok" so much because it was about toxic parents and it sounded so healing to those who's experienced it
passively listening to this while coloring and felt stumped when listening to "Enough For You". It sounded familiar, musically, to me. I just figured it out! Maybe I'm crazy, but the it sonically sounds like Safe and Sound to me! One of my faves!
All us Liv fans have a theory that her new album (that she has confirmed she is making and working on) is going to be called ‘SWEET’ there have been loads of hints on Twitter, she chose sour patch kids to sponsor the playlist and there slogan is “SOUR then SWEET” and her alternate ‘SOUR’ cover is literally her surrounded by cake so possibly the ‘SWEET’ album if it is called Sweet could be surrounded by sour foods?? either way it’s a good theory and it’s going to be a happier playlist and include a lot of her songs that are on Instagram that’s all we know :)
love this album. the songwriting is so great a new fave for me is happier . I really enjoy your reactions 🤗
olivia is such a good singer and songwriter, i really love her and her music and think she deserves all the success and love she's received in last couple of months. and i wish people would stop using "oh, but she only sings and writes about breakups and her ex" as a way of putting her down and saying she's not worthy of the success she already has. it bothers me because it's the same thing people and the media did with taylor, they were always trying to say she wasn't that good and worthy of the success because she "only sings about breakups and her exes", when men sing about their past relationships and exes everyone loves it and i never see people, or the media, criticizing them for it. it's 2021, we should accept that we all have internalized misogyny and work on that and stop projecting that on women, especially on a teenager like olivia.
@Michelle Udebhu SAMEEE
I love herrr
This is my first time watching your channel and I just appreciate yall for reading over every lyric and acknowledging how powerful this album is.
she wrote “enough for you” completely by herself too!!!
After watching this, I appreciated her lyrics, her song and her album more. ✨
Funfact: brutal was the last song added to the album
So your guess of her writing it after driver’s license was right
28:14 ok but just imagine: it's Olivia's concert and she performs this song but instead of the second verse starting, Taylor comes out on the stage and continues singing New year's day and they finish the song doing a duet. That would be awesome
DUDEEE OMG WE NEED IT
HELLO, HOW DARE-?! someone's chopping onions in here ;-;
OH MY GOD I WOULD CRY
Living for this
brutal is such a vibe
I love happier too
She’s such an amazing song writer, I hate comparing her to Taylor but the way she writes is big Taylor vibes
I always wish I could be part of one of these videos with you guys omg you're analyses are so inspiring as a songwriter myself

i love you!
you’re a legend
not all hero’s wear capes
as I was watching this video I felt like home with my friends talking about Sour e being happy. I've never seen something like this before. thanks for this.
This is such an amazing reaction! Thanks for bringing so much enthusiasm and fun energy to all your vids!❤️
I would be SO PROUD if she's going to release them in the future cause every single one is AMAZING)
Also, thanks to Olivia for making this FUCKING MASTERPIECE of her DEBIUT ALBUM. It changed my 2021 forever. Her ongoing tour is SO GOOD
And she didn't sample "New Year's Day" on "1 step forward, 3 steps back", cause she played the whole thing on the piano
I loved this reaction, I loved how you broke down each song and really listened to the lyrics and how the songs were produced. You should react to other pop albums. I would love to see you react to ariana grande she writes and produces her own music and a lot of her songs talk about mental health and come from the heart.
Fact... This album does NOT have any bad song ♥️♥️
i can honestly say this is my favorite channel. your honesty and thoroughness with your reviews are immaculate. ❤️ got yourself a new subscriber
💗 also OMG I was so sure I had heard a song before with a similar vibe to "Deja Vu" and I finally googled it and figured it out and its "WANT U BACK" by CHER LLOYD plz see below--
Remember all the things that you and I did first?
And now you're doing them with her
Remember all the things that you and I did first?
You got me, got me like this (Uh!)
And now you're taking her to every restaurant?
And everywhere we went, come on!
And now you're taking her to every restaurant?
You got me, got me like this (Uh!)
In case anyone else was trying to figure out what song they were reminded of when they heard "Deja Vu" -- ur welcome xoxo
if this is what she's writing and sounding like at 18 imagine what's still to come 😩😩😩😩😩 top student at the taylor swift school of excellence for sure
she and conan are literally gold, misses taylor knows how to give a class 😭
Can we talk about the dog that just stares waiting for pets so patiently ? That was so cute. Love the dog !
For the album , I liked it. It was bringing back 90 themes that was nostalgic. Josh and Olivia still work together on their HSM Disney series as a couple and that must be incredibly awkward after this album release and josh being with Sabrina.
If I had this album 2 years ago I would probably be more emotional because it was something I was dealing with, specially 1 step forward 3 steps back.
The reason happier probably sounds familiar is this one that Olivia wrote and posted to Instagram playing her guitar. I heard it was also the song that made her producer, Dan Nigro, want to work with her :)
i can see you two in the future with a netflix show with this energy you two bring to every single video
