She was not only my beloved wife but she was my best friend. I recently lost her and I held her hand as she died. I did not think I would be able to continue to live. This song expresses everything that I feel. I will never love again .... there is no one on this earth that could ever take the place of my best friend, the love of my life, my reason for living. I am not a Lady Gaga fan, but a lot of people recommended me this movie and I watched it today with my mother. I was shocked seeing my mom crying with this song. My father died last year and she told me that this song described perfectly the way she feels right now, so it's pretty sad and painful, but this song is also a way to say a last goodbye. I cried during the whole movie though, because my best friend was a Little Monster and he died 4 years ago.

Jan 2023 and tuning into this song at 3:10 A.M. when one thinks of the one that got away. Every time I listen to this song, I'm reminded of that one time when I actually felt true fire with my first love, who I had not been able to let go of, for years now. We live in different cities. We haven't seen each other in years, and yet, the contact that we've had still shows how well we got each other and the anguish that we didn't work out. To be honest, I never appreciated Lady Gaga' songs but one day when I was watching youtube videos and I was kinda like try watch the music video of this I kinda like paused and realized I was so amazed how great voice she has and from then I began to loved her personality and songs, I am a fan of Lady Gaga now I admit it..I noticed every song is very emotional, one more thing she is very talented singer and artist.. More power to you Lady Gaga..

Might have listened to this song before but this is the first time i really pay attention to who's singing it, the mv, the lyrics. I used to think it was some classics song, and covered by people in current era. But no way! It's an origin from Lady Gaga??? The tone and melody is so classic!! Way more classic than shallow, in my opinion.

I am not a Lady Gaga fan, but a lot of people recommended me this movie and I watched it today with my mother. I was shocked seeing my mom crying with this song. My father died last year and she told me that this song described perfectly the way she feels right now, so it's pretty sad and painful, but this song is also a way to say a last goodbye.
I cried during the whole movie though, because my best friend was a Little Monster and he died 4 years ago.
My partner died of brain tumor one year and a half. I remembered all my life details with him in this song.. i cried and i cried.... I miss him... he helped me alot in my life to accept myself , loved me without judging, and .........

Jan 2023 and tuning into this song at 3:10 A.M. when one thinks of the one that got away. Every time I listen to this song, I'm reminded of that one time when I actually felt true fire with my first love, who I had not been able to let go of, for years now. We live in different cities. We haven't seen each other in years, and yet, the contact that we've had still shows how well we got each other and the anguish that we didn't work out. I've tried to move on and start something with another person, but it gets so damn hard when your body doesn't want to feel another touch.
We broke up almost 40 years ago but we both know that it shouldn't be this way. 😔.
